marcille's pokemon team! i imagine she's acquired a variety of mons over the years but some of them have been with her longer than others, like the dragonite she raised from dratini. azumarill is from before going to magic school. she got braixen as a fennekin for research purposes, and evolved it during the school period. cherrim is the newest of this bunch, caught and evolved during magic school.
(if you’re curious about why i picked certain pokemon for marcille, and names i gave her team members, it’ll be in the readmore!)
BRAIXEN (Ignis): an easy nod to magic school and her wooden staff. i wanted a straight-up fire type since marcille uses a bunch of explosive magic in the dungeon. i went with braixen instead of delphox because it has more of a youthfulness like marcille herself.
CHERRIM (Pom/Pomegranate): i definitely wanted a grass-type to reflect her staff being made of wood (with little green sprout), her green eyes, and her love of vegetables. cherrim having a bit of a food (cherry) element is a nice plus, and like braixen, it has a yellow colour like marcille’s blonde hair. i think marcille would also love cherrim’s cuteness, and its red accents match marcille’s own red accessories. it being flowery also matches marcille’s floral-enjoying aesthetic sensibilities. on top of that, i imagine it switching to its overcast form after marcille becomes the lord of the dungeon to reflect her mental state.
AZUMARILL (Tsunami): i wanted a more whimsical-looking pokemon to show off marcille’s cuteness, and a fairy-type adds to the magical feel. but even if azumarill looks silly and marcille can be silly, they really pack a punch. scarvi raiders will appreciate this beautiful round friend with a nod.
DRAGONITE (Stratus): rather than just have marcille’s team reflect her cuter aspects, it was important for me to include a member with competitive viability (which generally means the mon itself has a bunch of strengths). before i considered that aspect, i thought about including dragonair as a reference to marcille’s coatl monster, but i went with dragonite in the end for a cute-looking friend with a lot of strength. marcille has, after all, studied magic for a long time and is really good at it. It’d certainly make sense for her to have an objectively strong mon like dragonite on her team, especially considering the position dragons have in dunmeshi’s world and culture (and they were once at the top of the food chain in pokemon too...).
not pictured:
ALCREMIE (Nectar): a suggestion from my friend i really liked, partly because it’s food. and that’s obviously funny. a sweet-looking pure fairy-type (red accents too!) ties into marcille’s enjoyment of sweets and adds more of that fairy/magic feel. as for which colour variant hers would be, i’ll leave that up to you guys to decide. and a funny little sidenote: marcille wanted a fairy for herself like the canaries, but was daunted and disgusted by the requirements to create one. the homunculus the fairies start out as looks like a little blob of a guy, and alcremie’s pre-evo milcery is... well.
because of the homunculus stuff, i imagine she hatched Nectar from an egg and evolved it before magic school!
GOURGEIST (Ambrosia): while braixen works as a cute magic school reference to magic, gourgeist has more of a witchy, spooky feel. marcille isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, after all. but since this is her team from the start, gourgeist is a nice way to wink at a darker witch aesthetic compared to her other mons without fully giving away marcille’s eventual transformation. it still has a fitting whimsical design, plus its broomstick likeness can be seen as another nod to ambrosia.
Ambrosia would, of course, have been obtained as a pumpkaboo and raised until evolving in line with marcille's staff creation in dunmeshi
honorary mentions: ponyta/rapidash (for her horse love), milotic (for the quetzalcoatl), rotom (suggested by my friend who likes the mental image of her putting senshi in rotom wash), arboliva (italian), liligant (floral + grass-type), foongus (grass-type, reference to walking mushrooms), deerling (grass-type, cute, a deer is vaguely horselike), morpeko (silly/cute, has a “dark” form like cherrim)
dungeon lord: she would have control over all the mons in the dungeon without them being “hers”, so i didn’t plan for her team to change upon her becoming dungeon lord.

Do you have Pokemon ideas for Idia!Yutu other than yknow
Rotom
Ooooo Lilia!Yutu gets a Noivern but idk about Malleus!Yutu
Maybe Zekrom pulls up at one point and sticks his little guy on his shoulder
N is very confused as to where his big drago is
Houndoom, Absol, Mabosstiff, hell even Hydreigon make sense for Idia! Yutu to me. He is very much a dog person, much to his father's chagrin.
Lilia! Yutu with a Noibat or a Zubat... cannot decide which would be cuter but he deserves all the bat themed pokemon. Even my nemesis Swoobat.
Malleus! Yutu... let me see... Corviknight. The raven theme fits for *reasons* and as a knight like pokemon I think it would be honored to help the wingless prince fly through the air.

EarthSpark Pokemon Teams: The Terrans
All was made from Pokecharms Trainer Card Maker and photos from TFwiki
This was fun to make and took longer than I hoped, but I hope you like the results.
Since this is only the end of Season 1, their Pokémon, minus their Ace, is at their first stage. For the Pokémon that have multiple different evolutions, I'll explain what they would evolve into.
I know it might be a bit early to give them all full times, but I got impatient, and I think we got a pretty good idea of their personalities to make these good ideas.(Once more episodes come out, I might edit their teams)
I already explained why I chose their staters these pokemons, here. As for why I chose these teams, this is gonna be long, so be prepared.
For Twitch, I gave her Starly and Zubat because I thought these were good Flying-Types for her, I think Staraptor would be a good flying type for her and I wanted to give her a regional bird like Dot and Robbie, and I think Crobat's wings sort of reminded me of her's. I thought Scyther/Scizor worked for her as well, I hesitated since Bumblebee has one, but then I figured she could get one in honor of him since he is their mentor. Hawlucha is a Fighting/Flying-Type and I wanted her to have one Fighting-Type. As for Charcadet, I gave her one because I feel she and Megatron have a connection and Twitch is blossoming into a leader, so I figured she would have one, but her's would evolve into Armarouge to counter Megatron's Ceruledge.
For Thrash, I orginally had Tyrogue as his starter, but changed it to Cyclizar, but I still wanted him to have one, which I imagine would evolve into Hitmontop. I also gave him Toxel because I believe Amped Form Toxtricity would be great for him. I gave him Varoom because it sort of reminds me of him and Aipom because I think its energetic nature would match his pretty well, and Tauros to counter Mo's Skiddo and I also think it's just another Pokémon Thrash should have.
For Hashtag, along with Rotom, I feel like Helioptile and Magnemite go well with her Wi-Fi abilities, and I imagine her being into Electric-Types. Also, she shows interest in media and has copied her shows and done accents, so I figured Chatot and Ditto would go with that since Chatot mimics speak kind of like she does and Ditto can literally turn into other Pokémon, and I didn't really feel Zorua matched her enough. I also gave her Mime Jr. because I felt she would like this little Pokémon since it is cute and silly like some of the videos she watches.
For Jawbreaker, I wanted to focus on cuter Pokémon as well as Pokémon people don't really see as tough, since in the episode where he finally got his alt-mode, he felt like people thought he wasn't tough or fierce enough to fight. I originally had Eevee as his starter, but then decided to change it, but I still wanted him to have one to symbolize him wanting to choose the perfect alt-mode and exploring all possible choices. I gave him Igglybuff and Ridough because they are cute and sweet looking, and Mo even called him sweet. Magikarp is here because its considered useless but evolves into a powerful being, similar to Jawbreaker. Finally, he has a Maschiff because like Jawbreaker, this Pokémon wants to be taken seriously, but people think they're too cute to be fierce.
For Nightshade, they have Porygon and Klink because they seem like good choices for a young scientist like Nightshade, and they have an Abra because its evolution, Alakazam is an intelligent Pokémon I think Nightshade would want. They also have Blipbug because this Pokémon is intelligent and collects information, it evolves into a Psychic-Type, and I wanted them to have a Bug-Type to highlight their friendship with Tarantulas, but I didn't think any of the spider Pokémon worked with Nightshade, so they just have a Bug-Type.

Who do you think Koushiro would have on a Pokemon team
Oh, for him, that is comparably easy to be honest, and I recommend taking a look at this post, because it already has some very agreeable picks!
Due to Tentomon's nature, picking a bug/electric team would be the most fitting, but there are two other choices that'd be a crime not to pick for him:
Vikavolt (THE electric bug after all!)
Heracross (self explanatory as well)
Orbeetle (can't go without a ladybug - this slot could also have gone to Ledian, which is a tad bit cuter, but I feel like it's more suitable to pick the psychic bug with the "big brain" than the one that looks like it could punch, but can't...)
Rotom (I didn't stumble over this one before, but he would definitely LOVE to have a creature that can sneak into all sorts of electronic devices for research purposes.)
Metagross (come on, the super computer with four brains? Has to be here.)
Genesect (it's a purple bug that got revived through a scientific experiment, it almost is too stereotypical to pick.)

im gonna talk abt tf2 and pokemon again bc i can.
scout of course would dig fast pokémon!!! he's probably got a jolteon he loves dearly, maybe even a crobat he was given (as a zubat) in childhood. from who? eyes emoji there are faster pokémon, sure, but a lot are legendaries or bugs- and he's still trying to warm up to bugs. when/if he did, you KNOW he'd be all over ninjask or accelgor. he usually fawns over pokémon he thinks would make him look cool or fit his fight style (ie hit ur opponents the hardest first & dont get touched) but has a weak spot for some of the "cuter" ones. probably tried to lick a vanillish. as staunch a believer i am he'd be from castelia city, i like the idea that he used to be a rocket grunt, or someone who wanted to join team rocket at one point. i was trying to decide if he'd have a type preference but i like to think he's a mixed bag, mostly because every pokémon is cool and exciting to him! if you did ask & he did have to pick, it'd definitely be electric. wait, dragon, obviously... nah, fighting is good. no wa
soldier's partner is obvious! zigzagoon! mostly bc its a raccoon-like lil dude... he probably gives nicknames to every pokémon he sees, not necessarily just the ones he tries to catch. because lets face it, his zigzagoon is the ONLY pokémon that matters to him. well, that and any that catches zhanna's eye. his zigzagoon carries an everstone and is probably stupid high levelled but nobody really keeps track. soldier does initiate a lot of battles, but they're more fun when zhanna's with him too! theyre an inseperable group who probably wreak enough havoc to be considered their own team of hooligans, but who's to stop a happy couple with their adorable op pokémon? also i kinda wrote all that down super quick buuuut zigzagoon also works as a support pokémon for him when his stability gets extra rough, laying on his lap and helping to keep him grounded. he doesnt have any desire to keep more pokémon since he's fine with just 1, but if he had more i think he might get along with loudred or chatot. (chatot would DEFINITELY take some warming up to on his end but i LOVE THE THOUGHT)
pyro loves fire types of course!!! theyre probably the only one brave enough to pet their hotter ones. engineer probably made em special gloves just so they could play with their slugma... its hard to pick favorites, but the ones theyre closest to are slugma and monferno. they also have a solosis who just loves to play! unlike other people who usually just have one pokémon walking with em at all times, pyro tends to keep all three of theirs out of their pokéballs. they worry about them getting cramped or bored, and while its good exercise, sometimes its difficult to wrangle them when solosis has someones hat and slugmas melting through the furniture and monferno found spy's disguise kit.. theyre a big happy family though!! i think pyro would also like fairy types a lot, but if they got a fourth pokémon, theyd probably keep it at a daycare for the sake of themselves and the rest of the team. just in case, they might really want a sylveon or snubbull.
demoman and any pokémon knowing any explosive moves is an obvious fit! i initially liked him and electrode for this, but since part of their biology is exploding unpredictably... maybe that ones saved for battling. or at least not kept at any of the bases. i like the idea of him keeping his battle partners & normal team separate. when he's not drunk, he's a very skilled trainer and actually took a handful of gym challenges when he was younger. of course it started getting tough to balance work and training, but he never intended to get far in gyms anyway- to him it was just a fun challenge where he got to bond with his pokémon. other than his electrode, he's probably also got a charmeleon (whos either causing mischief with pyro's monferno or keeping demo company while he works/naps) and a honedge (who he will spar with sometimes). he used to have several other pokémon, but he eventually didn't like keeping them all abandoned in pc boxes, and ended up rehoming a lot of them. scout probably has a meowth from him, but he wont tell you.
heavy never cared too much about setting up huge teams or amassing a large collection. he never carries pokéballs, but his party is made up of some impressive pokémon. unlike most of the team who catch their pokémon through normal means (trade/gift, fishing, etc), he befriended his naturally. its easy to say one is ursaring, so of course im going to say it. he wont share how they met, but i wanna say he found its egg abandoned and raised it from there. they probably wrestle a lot but theyre always careful not to seriously injure each other. he befriended his mamoswine (then swinub) shortly after, then his abomasnow much later, in between him busting his family out of the gulag & leaving to find work. he left all three in siberia in the care of his family, but has a teddiursa from his ursaring to think of them all by. probably spoils the crap out of em all every chance he gets though, he loves his pokémon as much as his human family and saves recipes for poképuffs & poffins.
engineer wasn't always on board w the idea of a partner pokémon, mainly because he was always into engineering and was sure he'd be too caught up in it to focus on.. well, anything else. sure, when he was younger, he was like most kids and dreamt of being a league champion, but it always seemed to fall through.. until he discovered steel types. he started his journey later than most, but more than anything he's thankful because they help immensely with his work and lighten the load. he has a magneton who.. isn't that bright, but he's cute and thats what matters. he's also got a rotom who occasionally helps experiment with new machines, but mostly just possesses dispensers and rubs itself on everyone and everything. yum, static cling! engie didn't get into battling as much as he thought he would, but he's essentially working his dream job with his best friends (and 8 other dorks) so things are pretty good. this doesnt mean he wont go for human help when hes stumped or burnt out, though! other partner thoughts i had were torkoal, raichu and porygon2.
sniper is probably the biggest pokémon expert out of everyone on the team (well, aside from medic probably.) he's basically a walking pokédex and can tell you all about type matchups. he's also way closer to his pokémon than people realize, and especially closer than any real people. this is especially noticeable with his baby kangaskhan- although with a heavier origin than simply "abandoned", he ended up bonding with heavy over the ordeal. even with more technical aspects memorized, raising this baby was a completely new venture- not one he hated though! he also collects bug pokémon (that he lets scout get close to,when he tries to get over his fear) & has a slakoth that just kinda.. fell asleep on him one time and just never went away. other choices include koamala or krokorok.
medic is like a pokémon professor but fucked up. while he was primarily a human doctor, after losing his medical license, he started to dedicate time to studying pokémon. he doesnt run inhumane experiments on them because i said so. he's working on filling up his pokédex more than anything, and loves listening to others talk about their partners or other species theyve seen. he has his own pokémon too of course! as the team healer its only natural he has healing pokémon like audino and blissey, but he has a soft spot for flying types, specifically the birds. he has way too many pidove. he probably has a massive aviary separate from his medical lab where he keeps more birds, namely pidgeotto, fearow and some starly. he used to travel a lot (especially after being chased out of his hometown), but he saw it as more chances to discover new pokémon. probably has a very illegal form of the pokémon boxes with no storage limit. also probably heard the stories about mew and mewtwo and actually got inspired. probably owns the most pokémon merc, specifically stationery- hey, if ur getting some unethical experiment performed on you by the german guy you tried to rob earlier that night, are you going to pay more attention to his shit eating smirk or his cool ass holographic pikachu pencils??? or perhaps the cutesy eeveelutions stickers on the back of his clipboard???? thats what i thought.
spy looks like the guy who would probably be the least into pokémon, but that couldn't be further from the truth. he's not as wild as scout or medic by any means, but back in his day he was "pretty decent" (a gym leader.) i like the idea of zoroark being his partner, but you know who else is cool??? cofagrigus. gengar. banette. probably the only one on the team to actually get into mega evolving. and the only one with a shiny, but its gengar so we dont talk about that. i wont imply he loves his pokémon over his own family, he's just had a lot on his plate. remember scouts crobat? while hes got a more methodical approach to battling, he doesnt do it nearly as often as he used to. he still keeps his gym team, and though they tend to be more serious than the other pokémon in the base, they do on occasion get into trouble with others, namely pyro's solosis and scout's jolteon. not misbehaving on purpose, just being curious :0 probably uses luxury balls to catch all his pokémon and has an unused love ball with scouts moms name engraved on the bottom. (either for the novelty, or maybe hes trying to find the right one to catch for her??)
#talking#tf2#pokémon#long post -#< I MEAN IT#might add a readmore later#im super tired and on mobile#if u even read this far i love you thank u for listening to me autismdump#yes i changed canon to fit this yes i also cant remember all of canon rn#alcohol ment -#update added a readmore AND demo honedge real

I also wanted to do what @bubblymilkgalaxy did and design some phones for them so here’s this.
Pecha is always up with trends so I feel like having a Rotom phone is perfect for her, and of course the little guy is very heavily accessorized (he likes it don’t worry. He thinks he’s way cuter than everyone else’s phone)
Rawst doesn’t like strange Pokemon so he has a normal smart phone. He doesn’t tend to accessorize as much as his sister, instead only preferring a mimikyu based slider bar phone grip.
Wanted to do what @astererer did with the phone contacts but what Rawst and Pecha are in each other’s contacts.
Pecha’s contact for Rawst
Contact Name: Twin 👻🎧
Ring tone: Two by Two
Text tone: recording of a voicemail of a rare moment where Rawst said she was the bedt sibling ever
Rawst’s contact for Pecha
Contact name: The Womb Mate
Ring tone: Siblings
Text Tone: recording of a voicemail of a rare moment where Pecha called him a douchbaggette

@goldcnvictory asked: hey. remember i love you. now do numbers 1-40 of the mlm asks for raihan -
(CHALLENGE ACCEPTED)
Do you like resting your head in a boys lap, or on his shoulder?
“I’d like to say both, but it’s just easier for me to rest my pretty head against some nice legs. Stretch my neck too much trying to rest on his shoulder.”
Sweaters or hoodies?
“Hoodies, mate. Isn’t that obvious?”
Netflix or clubbing on a Friday night?
“Oh, netflix for sure. Don’t get me wrong, I love clubbin’, but it’s more fun with friend, you know? Much rather sit around with my Pokemon and binge the latest shows or movies.”
Denim or leather jackets?
“Now that’s a hard one. I can rock both, let’s be honest. I’ve got a handful of both, so I don’t think I can choose one or the other.”
What’s your favorite thing about boys?
“Voice and eyes. Got a bit of a thing for some well trimmed facial hair too. Get a guy who has all three and I think I’ll be sold.”
How do you like your tea?
“Believe it or not, I like my tea pretty plain. Can’t drink black tea though, that’s just too bitter. Prefer something with a little bit of spices added to it.”
How do you like your coffee?
“Now this is where I add the cream and sugar. I like to sweeten my coffee a bit, I feel like it helps me wake up better.”
Favorite fall color?
“Well that’s easy, orange!”
Can you drive?
“Sure I can. Got a bike in my garage I ride every once in awhile.”
Do you have a crush?
“You mean like pinin’ for your best mate and rival for a little under ten years? Sure we can say that I do.”
What’s your favorite sport?
“I mean battlin’ is more my thing, but I enjoy some football every now and then.”
Are you a pastel, neon, or neutral color mlm?
“Pastels or neutral colors. I’m more likely to lean more towards neutral though.”
Do you wear makeup?
“Not really. Maybe if it’s for a special event or somethin’. Know how to apply it and all that, I’ve got two sisters after all. I can apply a mean cat eye if I do say so myself!”
Do you like boys taller or shorter than you?
“Kind of hard for me to find someone taller than me. Even if there was, I prefer guys shorter than I am.”
Do you prefer hand kisses, or nose kisses?
“Both! I like givin’ out nose kisses all the time, and hand kisses make things ten times more intimate.”
What’s your favorite cologne smell?
“Hm...probably sandalwood. Or some kind of campfire smell.”
Ideal date?
“That would depend on who my date is. Everyone’s presence is different. But if I can manage it, probably a stroll through Hammerlocke at night.”
What’s more romantic: cabin getaway, or tropical vacation?
“Again, think it depends on who I’m with. I’m more likely to choose tropical, love me a bit of sun and beaches. But I wouldn’t be against going to a cabin getaway in the mountains or somethin’.”
What’s your favorite mlm movie?
“Love Simon made me cry like a bitch, so I’d say that one’s a good contender.”
Do you believe in love at first sight?
“Kind of? I think that love at first sight is a thing, but I haven’t met anyone who’s ever experienced it.”
Have you ever been in love?
“...Yeah, I think I’m good, what’s the next question?”
Do you like sitting in a boys lap, or do you prefer when a boy sits in yours?
“I’m pretty tall, so it’s a little hard for me to sit in a guys lap. If I can, then I wouldn’t mind it. It’s never happened before, so I guess I’m more inclined to say a guy sittin’ in my lap.”
Metal or cloth bracelets?
“Work with a lot of weather tactics, so I prefer wearing cloth bracelets. I’ve got a few metal ones, but they’re mostly for fancier occasions.”
What’s one of your favorite memories of being in love?
He’s looking at his Rotom Phone. Not bothering to answer that one.
Do you tilt your head to the left or right when you kiss?
“Huh, never thought about it before. Probably to the left?”
Would you like to take his last name when you marry?
“Eh, it depends. If he wants to take my last name or not. I’m more likely to suggest combining the two.”
Do you want kids?
“Not sure, if I’m bein’ honest. I’m pretty good around kids, but it’s a little hard imaginin’ myself with a few of my own.”
Do you interlock fingers when you hold hands?
“That’s the best part of holding hands!”
What’s a compliment you’d love to receive from a boy?
“I don’t know, something about my personality, maybe. Or something that they only see and know about. Get too many compliments and insults on the regular online. I’d like to hear something that I haven’t shown to the public.”
What’s better, waking up to him in the morning, or falling asleep next to him at night?
“Waking up to him in the mornin’. If I actually wake up earlier than he does, it’s fun just to watch him sleep.”
Any turn offs?
“Anything remotely to do with my fame or public image. Can’t stand that. I’d rather somebody date me for me, you know?”
What makes you blush?
“Honesty, if I had to pick.”
Coffee shop or dog park date?
“Oh, that’s easy, Poke Park! Get to walk all my little Goomies and Trapinch and spend time with my date.”
Big spoon or little spoon?
“Big spoon for sure.”
What first catches your eye?
“His smile.”
Would you enjoy it if he bought you flowers?
“I don’t any of the meanings, but yeah. My mums buy each other flowers all the time. Kind of hard not to wish for that too after seein’ them light up after gettin’ a bouquet of them.”
Do you think matching couple outfits are cute or cheesy?
“If you think for a second that I wouldn’t be the first to have matchin’ couples outfits you’d be wrong. I will absolutely go out of my way to have matchin’ outfits.”
Have you ever asked a boy out?
“A few times, yeah.”
Which is cuter, him being confident, or shy?
“He’s confident almost all the time. Kind of has to be for bein’ in the spotlight all day long. He’s cuter when he’s shy, not really able to tell me what he wants or needs. Even if he’s inexperienced, that just makes him even cuter.”
What’s one of your fave love songs?
“How cheesy would it be to say ‘Beauty and the Beast’?”

Pokemon Snap 2 level - The Town
There’s a lot of urban Pokemon; critters which don’t seem like they belong or would adapt to a wild island without human habitation, which is difficult in Pokemon Snap because it’s supposed to be a wild place with absolutely zero humans, so what are any of them doing here? It’s already pushing it to have 800+ species crammed onto an island, so I figure it’s not pushing it that much more to have an abandoned town there somewhere. But… why is it abandoned?
I do love the liminal spaces, which is why we begin this level on the edge of a meadow, driving towards the town. There’s long and short grass with small flowers, and the pokemon we find here vary depending on whether it’s day or night. Run down wooden fences line the path into town as we meander into the abandoned town.
Spearow, the originally angry birds, hop back and forth along a fence looking mad at each other during the day. They will get closer together if you lure them with apples, but will squabble if they get too close.
A fearow cruises high above during the day too, for a decent shot from below, but will dive down onto a surviving bird feeder if you land an apple in it.
At night venonats run through the grass and across your path.
Miltank graze in the overgrown grass, and of course they will wander closer for apples. At night they’re sleeping, but you can wake them with a pester ball.
A comfey hangs out in the flowers, but is also attracted by apples. When it’s close to a Miltank, it will give it a flower crown, for extra bonus points and a very happy cow.
Following the milktank if you lure them out of the long grass, is a hard working herdier.
There is a meowth trying to sneak up on a spearow deeper in the level during the day, but at night it’s rummaging for something shiny in some debris.
A murkrow will argue with that same meowth over the shiny rubbish.
Near that rubbish is a honedge, but it only awakes and is recognizable when the pokeflute plays.
And closer to the buildings as the meadow ends, there’s a combee hive occupying space in a broken wall. Each time you hit it with a pesterball, more combees break away, but do it enough and the vespiquen comes out to defend it.
Once we reach the buildings of this town, it’s apparent these houses are in ruins, bits of them blown apart, gardens overgrown and fences falling down.
At night, a venomoth flutters around a flickering streetlight. On nights of a full moon, they are more numerous.
During the day, a persian lounges on a roof, sunbaking.
An abra can be found in the gardens, but it teleports away as you get closer unless you distract it with apples.
We can see into a bedroom of a house where a wall has fallen away (or exploded?) where a kadabra inspects various objects and toys within it via telekinesis.
Natu have replaced the spearows perching on the garden fences to be cuter, less angry birds.
At night, a Xatu ominously stares at you from whichever angle you look at it from, opening its wings as you get close.
Also at night, a furfrou dozes beside a front door. It will wake with either a pesterball or pokeflute and will start barking.
Espurr sit quietly and happily in gardens overgrown by flowers, minding their own business… unless you hit them with a pesterball, unleashing a spurt of psychic power.
Annoying the espurr makes a meowstic appear over the roof of a house. There’s a male one during the day, and a female one at night.
Through all of the suburban landscape, there is a Mime Jr that will follow you after photographing him once, popping up to ruin the shot if you’ve focused the camera too long. Enjoy your photobombing mini psychic clown!
The path is crossed by a pair of rockruff playing and chasing leaves blown by the breeze.
Their big sibling lycanroc catches up with them, day form during the day, and night form during the night.
Some of these forgotten and damages houses still have perfectly functioning doors, and who better than Klefki to help you open them and see inside? Lure a Klefki close to a door and it will open it for you!
And some of those houses contain appliances like microwaves, washing machines and lawn mowers… perfect hiding spots for a rogue Rotom.
Now the path branches, and we can either head to the town square, that still looks bright and clean, or towards a more damaged area of town and its back alleys.
The town square looks fancy, honestly quiet well to do and upper class. There’s an open town square with a statue of some important human or other, a fountain and fancy cobblestone paths. In the distance, the road takes you past an ominous looking mansion with a massive gate before the end of the level.
Skitty scamper along the street, disappearing between some of the other buildings during the day. Sometimes they will chase their own tail.
At night a Delcatty walks that same path, though at a much more sedate, graceful pace.
A smeargle can be found during the day, painting graffiti on building walls.
At night, shuppets play in empty windows and long-forgotten flower pots.
During the day, a flock of pidove perch on the statue in the center of the town square, definitely not making a mess of it.
An Espeon walks around the rim of the fountain, then sits to watch you approach.
An Alakazam meditates in the library, visible through a crumbled wall. It hovers in mid air, surrounded by an aura and floating books. The aura distorts your photos, unless you distract it with the pokeflute.
Mr Mime is performing in the town square. Random chance for there to be two of them.
A glameow stalks the player from the safe distance of the roof tops.
A stoutland, in all its shaggy glory guards a fancy bed in a kennel beside a house. Coax it up and out with apples to reveal three lilipups that were hiding beneath its fur.
At night, Mewtwo circles the statue in the otherwise abandoned town square. It’s shielded by an aura that takes three pesterballs to break. It ignored you before the aura was broken, then turns on you with angry, glowing eyes. One of the few pokemon capable of coherant speach, the first time you encounter it, it demands “What do you want?” with the voice in your head. Your vehicle continues on its path. On subsequent visits mewtwo instead asks “Back again?” and “Why are you alone?”
Lure another klefki across the road to open the gate to the mansion.
If we go to the damaged back alleys instead, weaving behind the fancy buildings to the hidden areas behind them, we find instead:
Snubbull squabbling over food, which you can feed.
Purrloin raiding trash cans. Toss a pester ball in there to make them pop out.
A granbull gnawing on a fossil bone. Lure a purloin closer to it so that it chases the cat pokemon and abandons the fossil for you to reanimate later.
At night a purugly patrols the scene where granbull had been during the day, all the other pokemon intimidated away.
There is also a ghastly floating around at night, but you only see a haze until your photos are developed in the lab.
Trubbish can also be evicted from trash cans by throwing pesterballs into them.
A Garbodor can also be revealed, but this time you have to throw a pesterball into a large dumpster.
Liepard lurks on the rooftops, stalking the player from a safe distance, until it jumps over the path to the roof on the other side in one location.
Scraggy forage and show off during the day. Lure two close together and they will engage in a display, each trying to show off the size of their ‘pants’.
A scrafty can be enraged enough to punch a secret panel off a wall, revealing a locked door to a secret facility. Good thing there’s another klefki nearby.
And towards the end of the level is a barren field of crumbling debris, no plants, and no pokemon. An ominous, dark cocoon hovers above the ground, in which waits Yveltal, but it can only be activated after Xerneas has been found.
A previous level, the Ocean, is here.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon thoughts
So just like I did with Sun and Moon, I’m going to put out all my thoughts of the game here. It’s going to cover post game and will not be spoiler free so that’s your warning if you still haven’t finished it. However, I’m not going to be touching on things that were the same in Sun and Moon. If you’re that interested in my thoughts, you can check out my post on the main game here and post game here.
My Team:
- I made it my mission to make sure I used as many alolan pokemon as possible this time around considering one of my regrets of my first Sun playthrough was that I didn’t use them enough. My final team ended up being the Rowlet line, the alolan Grimer line, the Noibat line, the Pichu line, the totem Salazzle and a spare spot where I exchanged pokemon that needed evolving through level up.
- Honestly, I don’t really look out for stats and whatever when choosing pokemon but damn most of them were frail af defensively. Like Pichu/Pikachu and Noibat were damn near unusable before they evolved. Because of this, I decided to keep the experience share on but only used refresh for status conditions up until the elite four as opposed to all the time like in Sun at which point I got sick of not using what was one of my favourite features in the game and used it for ages.
Trial + Elite Four Changes:
- So I thought getting all the “harder” sos call ins (the ones that heal and give weather helping conditions) in Sun and Moon was bad but Lana and Kiawe’s trials kicked my damn ass this time around. Like I didn’t even have issues with Kiawe’s trial in Sun and Moon but this time around, just like Lana’s trial, it took me two times to do it. Chances are though a lot of this had to do with having those defensively weak pokemon and not using refresh for the benefits.
- I have mixed feelings about Mallows trial. On the one hand, I liked it a lot more than the original games, but on the other, I still feel like it’s one of the most forgettable.
- As much as I get why they chose Vikavolt for Sophocles’ trial in Sun and Moon, to be honest, I liked Togedemaru a lot better. I also found it cute that you had to go get the Grubbin beforehand.
- I’m glad they actually made it clear that you could fight the other captains in the game considering I didn’t realise you could in Sun and Moon until waaay later than appropriate. However, I don’t think Mina’s trial was the way to do it. They hyped up the fact that Mina was going to have a trial and so much could have been done with it to the point of this feeling like a letdown if I’m honest.
- Honestly? I said this once and I’ll say it again, what was the point of Kahilli? Adding a little scene where she shows you how to use the flying z move does not make her any more relevant. I can understand replacing Hala considering he had said Hau already beat him, but not over her. Like I have nothing against her personally, I just wish they had bothered to do something with her.
- Kukui’s joke about being champion made me smile a little but to be honest, kinda eh about the rival being the champion battle again.
Story Changes:
Lusamine:
- I find it interesting that they really pushed Lusamine being someone with a mental illness that pushed her to become this way as opposed to intentionally negligent like in the original games. I mean it was very heavily implied that Mohn’s disappearance pushed her obsession which pushed her ignoring Gladion and Lillie in the original games, but the dialogue definitely pushed more of a selfish angle as opposed to mentally ill mindset, especially the difference in Gladion’s words.
- I also find it interesting that there’s an implication that Lillie did not know what happened to Mohn in these games. Makes me wonder just how long ago he was taken.
- I have also been spoiled about the fact Mohn visits Aether Foundation when you beat Gladion in the elite four rematch but doesn’t remember any of the family. I haven’t actually seen it but I have mixed feelings about the scene. I understand that this was meant to be a major moment of growth and closure for Lusamine and I’m glad they finally fixed the “You know where he is but never tell Lillie or Gladion” issue I had with the first game, but regardless of what goes down between them, I feel weird knowing that she never gave him the choice to know his kids. Not to mention, does Lillie even know he came? Is Gladion okay with it? It seemed that they deliberately put in how much what happened affected him into these games and yet all we get is a “Are you sure?” from him.
Guzma:
- Him becoming legitimate is everything I wanted. Him disbanding Team Skull in the process, not so much. Like with all the implications that he takes in teens that don’t fit in elsewhere and give them a place to belong, the dissemination as opposed to reforming of the team makes me sad.
- Along with Lillie, I love that you can fight alongside him during the post game.
Ultra Recon Squad + Wormholes:
- It was interesting to have them show up so early. Definitely not what I was expecting.
- I like that Hapu played a role as kahuna in the Necrozma story, even if only small.
- I would have liked more to be done with their world. Like I get not fleshing out every ultra world because that would have been insane, but the one that they made such a big deal about in nearly every trailer? Could have been done. I did like that it had the alternate squad there though.
- Quite frankly, the Necrozma story needed to be fleshed out more. Like it very clearly felt like dlc as opposed to a main difference in the game.
- All up the wormholes are one of the better features in the game. I do have to ask though, are shiny odds increased with them? Because I go 15ish years without even seeing a shiny in my game to suddenly getting one in the first wormhole which is odd to me haha.
Other changes:
- I hate and am terrible at mantine surfing tbh. Like it was cool the first time around and I have the records for Akala and Melemele but it’s going to take forever to get the other two. It actually makes me really sad because I was looking forward to it and just do not enjoy it at all.
- Making it so you can get Vikavolt and Crabominable earlier was a good change.
- Looker showing up made sense right up until he did nothing during the post game in regards to the villains which was just lame. Like I don’t care about his character but honestly? He’s useless in the game.
- As much as I would have also liked a Kommo-o clothing option too, I actuall like the Lurantis one more. Either way though, clothing is still too damn expensive in the game $2M should be enough to buy all the options tbh.
- I feel like the Rotom Loto is too OP considering you can use it any time he looks sad. In saying this, I hate how it pushes you to take pictures every time a pokemon evolves or constantly save or that type of thing. Like don’t get me wrong, I’m one of the seemingly few that thought that the photo club was cute but I’ll do it in my own time. So yeah, at least give us a “Never ask me this again” option.
- Continuing from this, forcing you to do festival plaza stuff on route 8 is not clever, it’s annoying. I didn’t want to use the feature in the first games and I’m only doing it now to get the damn stamp on the passport. Don’t force it haha.
- Pikachu valley was cute but literally what’s the point of the van? Like is it actually possible to get in there? Also I liked that they implied that the famous Pikachu was from there which made it seem like a jab at gossip journalists when that one asked him why he was in alola. Like making fun of the idea that they don’t even know the basics and are just trying to get a scoop makes me smirk.
- The way you choose your starter in these games is cuter, but honestly, the tutorial part of the game is still far too long. I get that there’s new players, but pokemon seriously need to consider putting “I’ve played Pokemon before” options for long time fans so we can skip seeing how to catch pokemon and so on.
- I preferred and was much more emotional about Lillie leaving for Kanto than Gladion.
Post Game
- Once again, I feel as if Looker should have played a larger role.
- I still do not understand them using old Archie and Maxie sprites. Like I get they’re from alternate universes but that doesn’t actually explain why they didn’t just use the ORAS ones.
- On that note, it’s heavily implied that Archie/Maxxie come from the same universe but I don’t see how that would work considering anything one does would just be undone by the other both weather wise and actions wise. So like apart from natural disasters happening, I don’t see their world being much different. But I suppose that’s the point. It could be any world.
- While I get it was post game and hence probably couldn’t take up too much room, I kinda wish they had done something different than what ultimately felt like a battle tree type quest. Like maybe rather than Giovanni bringing them all in, they happen to fall in and you have to do quests to stop them achieving their goals in Alola. So like finding Rayquaza to stop Archie and Maxie or racing to find ultra beasts before Giovanni. I don’t know, I know it’d take too much space up for the creator’s liking but I would have much preferred it.
Random other notes:
- My money is 100% on the first switch game being a gen one or two remake. There’s far too many references to Kanto in this game for the next game not to at least travel to Kanto. Whether or not this means starting back at the 151 is yet to be seen.
- On this note, everyone’s talking about who Hau’s dad is but I want to know who ours is. Is it the gym leader that signed the paper in the room? Probably not considering it’s implied the character knows who their father is and would have referred to them as such. Even less likely is my headcannon that it’s Giovanni as opposed to Surge which is what I see a lot of people guessing.
- I get that they’re going back to the regular method next game so want to leave alola behind, but I still find it strange that they added z crystals but not new alola forms.
- Despite people speculating otherwise, the Kantonian gym was exactly what I was expecting. However, I had hoped that they would have it earlier and it would be kinda like a trick house thing where each time you went, they had a different layout mimicking the Kanto gyms and actually had the trainers have that typing pokemon. So like after the first trial you could enter and it’d be a rock based one, second; a water based one and so on. I do however think that the fact that Ryuki said he wants to be a dragon gym leader will mean that the remakes will either have him take over the dragon trial and set it up as a gym or just 8 gyms in general.
Final thoughts:
This was a good game and improved a lot on parts that people didn’t like about the originals. However, while the story changes in the second half were much appreciated, the first half felt repetitive and drawn out. The game as a whole honestly just made me wish that these were Sun and Moon because the way it was done just makes them feel like dlc. Although in saying this, while it could have been done better, I do think these games were a necessary step to the generation four remakes that I’m still sure are coming out next year (lets face it, I doubt a new generation will be ready by then) and even generation five remakes, and the possibilities it has left for future games excites me.

....Man, I think Haunter is my favourite pokemon again. I usually have a brief period of each generation’s best new ghostie temporarily stealing the number one spot, but i usually tend to lose the hype for them around a year later and they join my just Gigantic Pile Of Second Favourites I Cannot Choose Between And then I used to dislike Sableye, Banette and Rotom but they all took the top fave spot as soon as I was like ‘hey if i actually use on on my team maybe I’ll like it- I REALLY LIKE IT’. but I mean, when i love them more because of my personal one i had on my team, or my headcanons or fanfics or etc, I think maybe that’s a dishonest fave cos they’re not my fave on their own benefits? And Rotom stayed in the top fave spot for a really long time cos it not only had a lot of love as my main heavy hitter in platinum but also has a big role as the main mon of one of my fave characters. And like five other fave characters in random anime one off episodes! And then it was a pokedex! EVERYTHING ROTOM TOUCHES TURNS TO GOLD
Buuuuuuuuut.... Haunter was like.. My Original Favourite My first favourite pokemon was pikachu, and then chansey, but Haunter was my first favourite ghost and it says a lot that it still holds up even all these generations later when the type finally got fleshed out with as many members as other types. Man its so funny in retrospect that I’m pretty defined as The Super Ghost Fan nowadays but I wasn’t really into them for the first three generations of pokemon. There just wasnt ANYONE except the haunter line in gen 1, and only misdreavus got added, and then in gen 3 I didnt initially like banette’s design in its first pretty awful sprite so i felt like duskull was the only good one and i didnt like its evolutions. Another reason to love sinnoh: it added great ghosties, evolutions for past ones, and made a lot of past ones available at the same time, and i mean we got our first ghost legendary too! The generation of spoop hype! (until kalos was even more of that, but it was less of a big deal cos ghosts werent so rare now)
ANYWAY Haunter is REALLY GOOD AND GREAT Its design is so simple yet perfect?? Like I know it was designed to be one of the most literal middle evolutions ever, its just meant to be basically.. half of gengar. With its oldest pokedex entries that was back before they really decided what they wanted to do with the ghost type, it was all ‘its a mysterious creature from an unknown dimension and nobody is sure if its a real ghost’. So its unclear whether its design is really meant to be the head pokemon gastly growing its first baby arms, or like.. all three stages are the same pokemon slowly emerging into our dimension, with Gengar being the true form? In any case, I never really felt Gengar was very special, aside from the fan theory it’s a doppelganger of clefable. (I mean its name is literally a mispelling of doppelganger!) like.. it always felt like a letdown of a final form? it would be so great on its own, its just a nice solid silly ‘monster under the bed’ type of ghost, a fluffy bugbear with a lot of sass and the minor original trait of its face being super big and kinda in the wrong place compared to clefable. Makes you imagine it scares people by going full cleff mimic and then just turning around in an alleyway XD I actually had a fan pokemon as a kid called Gambal which was literally just a chansey equivelant of gengar, and had powers of bad luck and stuff. But then the name ended up going to an entirely different fakemon instead who was a rabbit thing that was a game corner prize. Oh and I also had a geng of celebi! Called Tanka just cos that was my name for all my ocs at the time. Its just a type of poetry that i thought sounded Hella Cool for no logical reason. But yeah, I drew like a million pics of every pokemon as a ghost version and its just funny how subconciously i was a ghost fan even before there were more than four ghosts in existance XD
BUT WHERE WAS I Oh yeah, gengar is dissappointing! And its unfair cos if it was an unrelated pokemon on its own, I would like it! It just doesn’t hold up favourably to how awesome haunter and gastly’s concepts are. i mean, look here we have two different quality takes on the ‘floating head’ concept and then its final form isn’t a floating head. HOW DARE YOU. I guess gengar kinda still keeps the aesthetic with its oversized face, kinda? Like its a giant head just mimicing being a regular pokemon? But I mean i think a giant head with arms and legs stops being a giant head. Its why Nanimon and Mamemon aren’t as cute as regular sperical types. I think the only exception is when its a giant head with ONLY legs, and they’re small rabbit legs specifically- like Lotad or Tokomon!
Anyway, nowadays I’ve grown more appreciation for Gengar (again) because I had one in my team and I love him so I can’t not love my best friend. He has an interesting story cos he’s actually That One Haunter, lol! That memorable npc in DPPt who trades you a haunter but its holding an everstone so it doesn’t evolve. I was still equally annoyed at her even though I’d planned to press B and keep it as a haunter anyway! XD But then the cute default name Gaspar made me get really attatched to him, and man i have so many super detailed story and personality headcanons for this little goofball. Eventually he did actually evolve into Gengar, cos I traded him temporarily to a friend in order to transfer him between generations, and i forgot gengar was a trade evo so i didnt tell her to not do it. I still feel really bad that i overreacted about it, i worry that maybe I made her feel guilty! Ultimately, it was probably a good thing, because I kept my other bestie Reaper the Sneasel unevolved forever cos i dislike Weavile, and like.. obviously he kinda sucks in battle because of this. I still love all my pokemon regardless of whether they’re useful in competitive, tho! Oh and mega gengar is pretty sweet, too! It brings back a lot of haunter’s appeal! I just wish that i never saw its feet, seriously. I thought that it was just a head and arms again, but apparantly it just spends 99% of the time phased into objects and its legs just look really awful and unfitting when you see them. It makes it like a top heavy buff design and that really doesn’t work?? It sucks cos i LOVE the other ‘skipped leg day’ pokemon Mega Swampert, so i dunno why I don’t like the same thing on ghosts! Dusknoir and Jellicent are my least favourite ghosts ever. So yeah my opinion on gengar now is like... mixed? i don’t dislike it like I used to, but I don’t really love it on its own benefits or anything, i just don’t dislike it cos i associate it with a sweet and cute bestie who saved me a lot in sinnoh due to his hypnosis attack. But I still think it’s a worse design than haunter, which is The Best Design In All Of Pokemon. Even when I flip flop on what my favourite POKEMON is, I still think it’s my favourite design! Rotom is maybe the most creative design CONCEPT amoung the ghosts, but Haunter is just... so good at what it set out to do.
LETS TALK AGAIN ABOUT HOW GREAT HAUNTER IS I mean just LOOK AT IT, its just SO GOOD Floating heads are great, and gastly was a great way to take that concept and make it ghostly! And its so cool that its basically a hitodama/will of the wisp/generic spooky flame face from every jrpg ever, except made more original because its made of like.. pure darkness smog mist instead. The colour choices for it are really good too, i always really loved the dithering effect they used to make it in the sprite-based games! Its one of the few pokemon where i love the regualr better than the shiny, even though the shiny isn’t one of those terrible neon green ones. It has one of the best shinies and that shade of smoky purple still captures my heart more! i think i would prefer the shiny if regular gengar was bedsheet white though, not blue and only turning white when it mega evolves. That’s weird. AND THEN HAUNTER IS JUST AN EVEN BETTER FLOATING HEAD It loses the cool smoke but it gains these pointy ears/cliche vampire hair shaped head protrusions that just work SO WELL. Like its a floating head that isn’t just a plain sphere! That’s the one part of floating head monsters that generally sucks, a lot of them outside of the creativity of pokemon tend to be super samey generic bald spherical angry man heads. A floating head of a guy with a cliche horror B-movie hairstyle is great! And especially when its a really unhumanoid jack-o-lantern face that’s just like.. replicating that hairstyle without actually being a hairstyle. thats my fave kind of humanoid type pokemon, I love when they’re still animals or monsters or even inanimate objects that are MIMICKING humans, not just a lazy thing that looks like an actual human wearing a costume. I’m probably in the minority but this is why I prefer Mr Mime to stuff like Machamp or Delfox or Incineroar. And then also I love how it takes Gastly’s grumpy eyes and softens them a bit to look more mischeivious instead of angry. Looking always in a bad mood is probably the biggest reason i don’t like Gastly the most, i just feel sad for it. Another reason why I love sinnoh lol, it had a big happy mischief face on its sprite! (shame platinum ruined it a bit, but HGSS was even cuter) And then its just such a creative way of giving a floating head some limbs while not ruining its floating head aesthetic. Floaty rayman arms is such a ghostly thing even though there arent many ghosts that use that design aesthetic!
Honestly thats the biggest reason haunter is so great, really. it just.. encapsulates ghost, even though it doesnt have like ANY cliche ghost design elements! its such a good original concept for like the simplest and most basic pure image of ghostliness in this world. It somehow feels like its exactly what ghosts are, without taking any shortcuts from other popular ghost characters. its so simple and iconic! Its a new thing that could fit in perfectly with all those ancient B-movie creatures and I’d never question it! Gastly is at least slightly based on a will o wisp, and gengar is a bugbear/monster under the bed/shadow creature/doppelganger super combination creature. But in the aim of making something in-between the two, they accidentally made something that doesn’t look very much like ANY of them and stands out miles above them! I think this entire evolution line has had such great staying power because every member of it looks really distinct from the others, while also vaguely fitting together with theme and colourscheme so they don’t seem distinct in a BAD way. Any of these would be equally beloved as entirely separate mons, but linking them together makes them oddly endearing as a weird ragtag bunch of buddies! Its like the addams family!
Oh, but my one and only complaint is that Haunter’s gameboy era design looks better than how it got changed once the graphics got better.
To be entirely honest, I think that the changed version was their intent right from the beginning, and the cooler aesthetic one was just an accident of the limited graphics. Cos I mean the anime had that design from the beginning, after all! BUT STILL, I love it so much more and I wish it could have been proper canon. or at least remained as its shiny form or something! (A mild blue hint instead of a mild purple hint is really boring, this shiny only looks good on gastly...) The glowy outline is probably the best part, though i do also like how the colours stay more matched with gastly instead of the smog colour becoming the body colour. Actually its not even that, its just a random less appealing deep purple, it might have been cooler if it remained that lighter shade of lilac? Also it sucks that haunter retained the glow around its hands at least in the gameverse until we got 3D models. It never had that in the anime so i guess they removed it to remain consistant but like.. WHY! It doesn’t look as cool with red glow on purple as opposed to purple glow on black, but I still really liked it. Like you could have at least kept the glow when it uses attacks or something?
Oh, and isn’t it so weird that so many ghosts have had all black removed from their design as the generations go on? Like.. I mean I don’t think they did this to haunter cos they feared it was similar to Jynx, it isn’t remotely humanoid and it doesn’t have a stereotypical face or anything. And it wouldnt make sense cos they kept it on gastly. But then also banette has gone from black to an increasingly lighter grey, and its EEEEEEEVEN lighter on merchandising! I waited ages for an official banette plush, and it is a really sweet little thing thats so perfect... but then its light grey? I don’t mind cos it makes my plushie feel like more of an individual at least. Also its annoying that mega banette started off as the same dark grey/black that banette originally was, but then its one of the few pokemon that got a big change between XY and SuMo, aside from new animations and stuff. now its light grey too! Booooooo! Other ghosts that’ve experienced The Greying: Duskull, Dusknoir already started off lighter than its pre-evo and then still got more so as time went on, and Misdreavus turned green and then blue instead of grey but its still the same sort of thing. Now the only real black/dark grey ghosts we have left are Yamask and Phantump, and its just.. so weird?? Cos like none of the black dark-types have had big colour changes except Sneasel. I dunno, maybe they’re doing this to make the ghost and dark types more distinct, making it more like purple is the signature colour of ghosts? But I mean its the type icon colour for poison and psychic too so this just makes the colourschemes LESS distinct... Also I just think that the dark grey banette and the black haunter looked so much better, so it sucks that out of all the ghosts it had to be the ones I love! And out of all dark types it had to be my favourite too! (And sneasel is my fave ice type too!)
...anyway GHOSTS and HAUNTER I LOVE THEM and I’m sorry i rambled for like an hour writing all this THEYRE JUST SO FUCKING CUTE AND SWEET
oh and one last thing!! I love how haunter established the trend of ghost types being more mischievious and misunderstood than actually evil Well, i mean all three of its evo line starred in that episode of the anime, but Haunter was the one that went with ash at the end and got one more episode of cuteness afterward. That whole mini arc was the MOST MEMORABLE PART OF THE SHOW for me, I couldnt believe it was so short when i rewatched it! I totally misremembered haunter sticking around for half a season or something, cos it was so endearing to me. And its still so endearing to me every time the games decide to make a new ghost be harmless or sad, or harmless and sad. or even harmful and sad! i mean i cried the most at banette even though its past of being an abandoned toy is supposed to just be a justification why its the most angry and dangerous ghost. I’M SURE I COULD HEAL IT WITH HUGS, yells bunni, as they essentially glomp the pokemon equivelant of a shark...
god i just love ghosts so much and specifically haunter the most much hug your haunter today also your banette also your rotom also pumpkaboo and litwick and phantump and duskull...

For the Pokemon Meme (Part 2): 59, 60, 61-78 (I'm sorry but I'm curious to your opinions on the legendaries lol), 82, 87, 89, 91, and 97 :D
59: Normal Rotom, Fan Rotom, Oven Rotom, Washing machine rotom, fridge rotom, or mower rotom?
Mower Rotom. Dat toothy grin. Part Grass-type too.
60: Shaymin land form of Shaymin sky form?
Skymin. It’s pretty darn broken in terms of power. Serene Grace is obscene with this thing’s moveset.
61: Moltres, Zapdos, or Articuno?
Articuno. Pretty, has a decent moveset and I like Ice more than Fire and Electric.
62: Mew or Mewtwo?
Mew. Cuter. Mewtwo is too easy to use to be fun and was unfortunately subject as a character to 4kids’ mangling.
63: Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y?
Y. Dat Special Attack stat.
64: Raikou, Suicune, or Entei?
Suicune. I like Pokemon Crystal and it’s role in it.
65: Lugia or Ho-Oh?
Lugia.
66: Celebi or Jirachi?
Jirachi. Steel-type and doesn’t have anywhere near as many weaknesses (Celebi has SEVEN). Also appealing for being based on Tanabata)
67: Latios or Latias?
Latias. Mist Ball is cooler than Luster Purge.
68: Regirock, Regice, or Registeel?
Registeel. Steel-type. Also more well-balanced than the other two stat distribution-wise.
69: Kyogre, Groudon, or Rayquaza?
Kyogre. Origin Pulse is a pretty move and it’s Primal forme’s ability is cool.
70: Uxie, Mesprit, or Azelf?
Uxie. Knowledge is power.
71: Palkia, Dialga, or Giratina?
Dialga. Look’s freakin’ cool, is part Steel and has a friggin’ diamond in it.
72: Darkrai or Cresselia?
Cresselia. Doesn’t use cheap tactics i.e Dark Void + Bad Dreams. Also didn’t try to kill a defenseless child :|
73: Manaphy or Phione?
Manaphy. Phione is like a poor man’s knockoff.
74: Coballion, Terrakion, or Virizion?
Virizion. IT’S ARCEUS’ WIFE!
75: Tornadus, Thunderus, or Landorus?
Landorus. Not a douche like the other two.
76: Reshiram, Zekrom, or Kyurem?
Reshiram. Truth > Ideals.
77: Keldeo, Genesect, or Meloetta?
Meloetta. Has a forme change that actually does something unlike My Little Water Pony.
78: Xerneas, Yveltal, or Zygarde?
Xerneas. FUCKING MAJESTIC. And I like to abuse Geomancy in doubles i.e Have my Sylveon copy it with Psych-Up after Xerneas fires it off in one turn due to Power Herb. Hello pair of evil sweeping fairies.
82: Fighting, Psychic, or Dark?
Psychic. Despised them in Gen 1 though due to brokenness.
87: Team Aqua or Team Magma?
Aqua. Archie > Maxie. I lol at their faulty logic for their plans when you factor in….the water cycle.
89: Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua, Team Galactic, Team Plasma, or Team Flare?
Aqua again. Flare sucks. Rocket is overrated. Galactic is just wut.
91: Professor Oak, Elm, Birch, Rowan, Juniper, or Sycamore?
Kukui :P
97: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, or Kalos?
Kalos. Most beautiful region that was very fun to explore.
