Surprise Card Designs - Dogs #1
Did a fun little surprise drop for some of you all who are dog lovers! I ended up drawing both a Norwich Terrier and Labrador Retriever. They ended up pretty cute, and I am pretty proud of myself since I’m not very good at drawing animals…however the practice has done me a world of good, and I hope that I’ll be able to draw some more cute animals in the future. As usual, you can find my card…

Mankai with a dog
i was staring at my dog earlier, aggressively barking at a plastic bag. that's all. the rest is history
• at some point taichi just mentioned something along the lines of, "hey, wouldn't it be more fun here if... WE GET A DOG!?"
• whenever an idea spreads around the dorm, whether it's a good idea or an utterly ridiculous one, it's always either taichi or kazunari.
• IT'S ALWAYS EITHER TAICHI OR KAZUNARI (2).
• sakuya is excited about it! he never knew what it feels like to live with a dog, let alone actually grow up with one. this pure bean just wants to experience it, c'mon man...
• muku also agrees!! 100% yes!!! wouldn't it be cute when you get home everyday from school with a dog greeting you? it's like that one shoujo manga...
• tsumugi likes the idea! he also grew up with a dog (gosh dachshunds are so cute... zabi ily with my whole heart) so it wouldn't be too bad to have a dog in the dorm! apparently dogs can help you out a lot when it comes to emotional problems :)
• the moment these three angels literally agreed with the idea, everyone is ABOARD. it would be like taking care of a child except it's 100x times more fun
• actually no scratch that, not everyone is aboard...
• cause there's SAKYO.
• "WHAT'RE YOU GUYS GONNA DO ABOUT THE DOG?? DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT??? IT'LL ALSO TAKE MONEY TO BUY FOOD DISPENSER, DOG FOOD, YADDA YADDA YADDA"
• see it's all about money in the end, but sakyo. we know you want it too. god just pls say yes.
• a LOT of pleading - either the boys shoot sakyo puppy eyes whenever they see him, or some of them (by some i only mean taichi and kazu) waits outside sakyo's room and bleed his ears off with saying PLEASE repetitively the moment sakyo goes out of his room
• sakyo murdered everyone who barged into his room but they always, ALWAYS do it anyways. they don't learn their lesson!!
• SAKYO GOT FED UP. begrudgingly, after this has been going on for a month, he says yes
• EVERYONE CHEERS, FREAKING FINALLY!!!
• taichi and kazu, the mankai boys already aborted their plan of holding a funeral for the both of you... before sakyo agreed on getting a dog, he always has this look of wanting to strangle them to death
• after a lot of debating, they decided to settle on a dog that has a friendly disposition. anyways they get a light brown labrador!!!
• the day the dog got in the dorm, everyone got so excited
• everyone is literally ALL OVER THE DOG. THE DOG LIKES THE ATTENTION BUT GIVE IT A BREAK!! JUST PLEASE
• they name the dog koro! it's simple enough
• (i just searched for popular dog names in japan... don't @ me pls sobs)
• that night the dog kept wagging his tail from being so excited with everyone's presence he deadass sprained his tail
• it recovered after a week
• everyone takes turns filling koro's food bowl and water bowl. the duty of walking the dog is also distributed based on when the boys are free. they literally have a calendar dedicated for koro
• tsumugi makes a list of what the dog can and can't eat! it's most likely that everyone will feed koro, so they better not kill him off early...
• everyone follows the list except juza, it seems like he forgot the existence of the list
• one time juza was eating chocolate cupcakes, and koro was giving him puppy eyes
• how could he resist that face!! his inner resolve crumbled so fast, he was literally about to give it to koro
• tsuzuru to the rescue! the moment he saw juza and koro, he yelled "JUZA NO DON'T PLEASE STOP DOGS CAN'T EAT CHOCOLATE"
• juza just looks at tsuzuru, shocked. what do you mean dogs can't eat chocolate?? how do they even live their lives without the goodness of chocolates?? WHAT?
• he fails to understand, but he doesn't give it to koro. the dog whimpers and just goes away,, juza felt so bad and silently apologized to koro, but now he learned his lesson
• omi spoils koro!! every time he has free time, he whips something up for koro. he makes it as balanced as possible, of course.
• everyone to omi: "please don't make the dog fat."
• omi: "haha i won't"
• cue next day koro kinda looks chubbier
• OMI. PLEASE WE KNOW THE DOG IS CUTE BUT PLS CONTROL IT
• no joke, tenma was excited at first but now every time he sees the dog barking he gets scared shitless.
• JUST BECAUSE THE DOG BARKS AT YOU THAT DOESN'T MEAN THE DOG IS MAD AT YOU. IT JUST WANNA BE FRIENDS YOU FREAKING DOLT
• when he got comfortable with koro, he hid from everyone and patted the dog for the first time, and ran away immediately from embarrassment
• that night everybody was questioning why tenma gets beet red every time koro gets near him. but nobody mentioned it.
• on a whim, itaru let koro pull for a limited banner, making his paw tap the button. who knows if this dog is kinda lucky, right? there's no way of knowi-
• HE GETS ALL THE LIMITED CARDS IN ONE 10X PULL
• itaru just gapes at the dog for five minutes. "koro, you are a godsend..."
• itaru hid the dog's insane luck from banri, but somehow banri caught on
• "THAT'S UNFAIR! WHY WERE YOU HIDING IT FROM ME"
• from that point forward whenever itaru and banri play together, expect koro to be with them. it occurs a lot of times, but koro doesn't seem to mind as long as he gets belly rubs.
• congratulations masumi!! you now have a new alarm clock, but a million times MORE annoying!!
• they trained koro so every time masumi doesn't wake up, koro will just pounce and literally jump on him while barking right on his ear
• masumi hates to admit it, but the dog is goddamn annoying and it's effective at the same time
• hooray to masumi for not being late ever again!
• tasuku just stares at koro dead in the eye while the dog looks at his meal. what if i also train him to..?
• one day during winter troupe's rehearsals, hisoka was actually super duper early and that NEVER HAPPENED.
• "HISOKA WHY ARE YOU SO EARLY?? IS SOMETHING WRONG??"
• turns out TASUKU TRAINED KORO FOR A SOLID MONTH TO FIND HISOKA.
• once tasuku says "koro, where's hisoka?" the dog nyooms to WHERE HISOKA ACTUALLY IS. is he on the tree? in the washing machine? in the long-lost, ever changing storage room? you name it sir
• the days of painfully looking for hisoka are over! tasuku can finally catch a break! this is a big win for winter troupe!!!
• homare just blabs his poems to the poor dog. always.
• it's been going on for five hours and koro is so tired of his shit he just settles on trying to bury his ears on the ground just to not hear him. i am so sorry for your loss.
• homare pets him after he is done with his long ass session so guess that's worth it!
• tsuzuru didn't necessarily train koro to do it, but somehow whenever tsuzuru is in a writing spree the dog just grabs a can of red bull from itaru and brings it to his room.
• tsuzuru doesn't even realize it's the goddamn dog. HE DEADASS JUST TAKES THE CAN AND SAY THANK YOU AND CONTINUE WRITING THE SCRIPT
• everyone just assumed tsuzuru trained koro to actually do that. PLEASE LET THE DOG LEARN NORMAL DOG TRICKS HE ISN'T YOUR MAID
• "I DIDN'T TRAIN KORO!!!"
• Whenever it's misumi's turn to walk the dog, koro joins him in his triangle hunting! koro picked up misumi's habits, so koro picks up triangular objects from time to time and gives it to misumi. d'awwww!
• misumi please don't expect the dog to join you running on walls. please don't. everyone's gonna hunt you down once something happens :)
• citron is super affectionate to the dog! koro is so attached to him and koro listens to citron babbling even tho he understands jackshit
• "back in my country, i am known as the glorious legendary master of dog b-"
• "yes citron. we get it."
• CITRON MAKES A KORO JR. MY HEART MY SOUL I OFFER TO YOU
• it's the dog's fave toy!!! he sleeps with it.
• yuki enjoys making anything for the dog. a dog bed? clothes? accesories? toys? HECK YEAH BRING IT ON SIR
• yuki isn't touchy feely with the dog but that's how he shows his love for koro!! it's okay, the dog understands!!
• koro is literally drowning in all those handmade stuff, spoiled by the only yuki
• whenever it's yuki's turn to walk the dog, he wears matching outfits with the dog as he buys more fabric for the next play (and for the dog but we don't mention that)
• THEYRE KINGS! literally a head turner. everyone just looks at them in awe. yuki wanna show off
• like citron, sakuya is super affectionate to the dog!
• he always gives bear hugs to the dog, especially when he is feeling anxious about something! koro's presence calms sakuya down big time
• please protect these small beans
• muku also loves the dog to death!! every time they arrive at home from school koro just jumps to them and he enjoys it so much
• at times when muku wants company when reading his shoujo manga, or just wants something to hug, koro does the job
• affectionate babies. please protect (2)
• koro is super affectionate when it comes to azuma.
• every after koro gets really excited about something, he gets dead tired so he goes straight to azuma's room.
• do you want to know what azuma does to koro? hmmmm? :---)
• they sleep together! duh
• taichi ALWAYS plays with the dog. it's like two dogs bonding smh
• taichi gets confused whenever they play catch?? whenever koro finally gets the ball, he runs back to taichi but doesn't give him the ball
• "umm, koro? we wouldn't be able to continue playing if you don't give the ball?"
• koro: NO GET ONLY THROW
• kazunari has a lot of aesthetic pics of koro! they're so wholesome, there was a point when his instablam is just full of koro
• ok he does have a lot of funny videos too, that's unavoidable
• best one so far was muku tossing the ball for koro to catch it, but he threw it too far and it hit sakyo's head at the back
• RUN FOR YOUR LIFE MUKU OH MY GOD
• sakyo was about to lose his shit but once he saw muku apologizing and rambling he felt bad.
• should it be mentioned that cleaning sessions are more of a pain than before?
• the dog sheds a LOT MORE than they expected. the fur is literally fucking everywhere
• how does one dog have this much hair??
• those ppl with big sisters (cough itaru and banri) SWEARS this dog's shedding is a hundred times worse than their sisters' hairfall
• speaking of shedding everywhere, everyone's clothes have fur ALL OVER their clothes
• most especially sakyo because he wears all black. poor old dude
• after a month of deliberation from sakyo, they decided to buy more lint rollers and all that stuff that are supposedly effective
• every time the students are late to school, the dorms get chaotic
• unfortunately for everyone the dog joins in adding more noise pollution
• THE DOG DRAMATICALLY BARKS WHENEVER EVERYONE IS PANICKING. IT FEELS LIKE WAR
• cue sakyo's very angry "KORO, SHUT UP!"
• koro didn't bark for a solid week... just pure whimpering. everyone was looking at sakyo like, "you better apologize, he doesn't deserve it..."
• when it was sakyo's turn to walk him, koro looks like he was about to shit. everyone was pretty concerned, but they wanted to see how it went
• the moment they came home, koro was all over him and sakyo is hiding a smile
• SOMETHING DEFINITELY HAPPENED.
• but what happened? nobody knew a thing. and it will stay that way.
• EVERYONE IS SOFT FOR HIM. not taking no for an answer

Dog Café / LFX

summary: in which Felix takes you to his favourite place
warnings: none
these aren’t the actual names of the dogs....... idk the real names
_________________
“Y/N!” Felix exclaimed.
You looked up from the map on your phone, smiling as you saw Felix. It was only your fourth date with the freckle-faced boy, your relationship still very new, and he’d decided where to go this time.
“Hey Felix,” you smiled, greeting him with a quick kiss.
He smiled, “how are you?”
You nodded, “I’m good! So... where are we?”
“This,” Felix started, walking to open the door, “is my favourite place in the whole world.”
He walked inside and you followed, immediately taking note of the small fence around the door.
“Wha— oh my god! Look at that dog!” you exclaimed in joy, pointing at a big, fluffy, golden labrador retriever.
“That’s Kiel,” Felix chuckled, “my best friend.”
You looked back to Felix, “bro, I think I’m in love.”
Felix laughed, opening the small gate so the two of you could enter.
“Oh my god! Felix! Felix! That poodle’s wearing a bow tie!” you exclaimed, pointing to a poodle on a chair, who immediately got down, running towards you and Felix.
“Hey Buddy,” he smiled, kneeling down and stroking the curly-haired dog, “this is Buddy.”
“Buddy?” you repeated, as Felix nodded, “Buddy, Kiel.”
“And this one’s Choo,” Felix said, pointing to the small jack russel in the corner, “he’s a bit shy.”
You smiled, looking at the small dog as he looked up to you and Felix, before putting his head back down.
“Would you like anything? Coffee? Bubble tea? Ice cream?” Felix offered.
You stared at your boyfriend, “are you kidding me? They have dogs, coffee, bubble tea and ice cream?”
“And waffles.”
“I could live here,” you said, standing back up and following Felix to the counter, “I could die here and I’d be happy.”
“Nice to know you love it as much as I do,” Felix laughed, “I told you this was my favourite place in the whole world.”
“God, this place is blessed,” you smiled, crouching down again to stroke Kiel.
Felix smiled, “so, ice cream?”
“You really think I’m about to say no?”
Felix laughed, “I mean... fair point. So I’m guessing that’s a yes for bubble tea as well?”
“Oh no,” you said, shaking your head as you stood up.
Felix raised an eyebrow.
“I’m kidding! Give me that sweet, sweet caffiene.”
Felix shook his head, chuckling slightly as you followed after another dog.
“You two are a cute couple,” the worker said, “so I’m guessing ice cream and bubble tea?”
“Vanilla and strawberry please,” Felix said, handing over his card, “and thanks. It’s new, but I hope it lasts for a while.”

Never requested anything before in here even though I have been on here for like 6 years 🙃 but I was hoping to do a birthday one shot with Ashton, surprising the reader with a puppy they have wanted since childhood. I turn 21 on the 31st December, so yeh (also could you make it so the reader is also on the short side ♡ love your writing aswell )
When you woke on the morning of your birthday, you fully expected to roll over and feel the warmth of your still slumbering boyfriend beside you. Except this year you woke up and were met with cold sheets. You lifted your head, eyebrows furrowing together as sleepy eyes took in the wrinkled sheets, nothing but Ashton’s imprint left to tell you he’d been there but was now gone. It was childish, maybe, but you felt a stab of disappointment at the lack of his presence, for sure thinking he’d be there when you woke up on your birthday.
Maybe he was preparing a birthday breakfast? You didn’t mean to sound entirely conceited, but if it explained his absence from bed, you’d take it.
So you got up, putting on his shirt and a pair of sleep shorts as you began making your way down to the kitchen. Each step invited a deeper furrow of your eyebrows, sniffing in confusion when you didn’t smell any eggs or pancakes or waffles. “Ash?” you called out for him, turning into the kitchen. Which was empty.
The disappointed accompanied the confusion, wondering where the hell he was, as you then took in the counter. A smile spread on your lips at the sight of a big bouquet made up of your favorite kinds of flowers, grand in its beauty. You let out a breath, approaching the bouquet already in a pretty vase, reaching for the small card sitting next to it and grin widening at Ashton’s familiar handwriting.
These flowers aren’t nearly as gorgeous as you, or as grand as my love for you, but they’re your favorite and I love you. Happy birthday, darling. Ash xx
Okay. So maybe he hadn’t forgotten your birthday.
Before you could even decide what you wanted for breakfast, you heard the front door open, and you immediately went over to the foyer to catch sight of your boyfriend entering the house. His hazel eyes landed on your approaching figure instantly, and Ashton grinned as he greeted, “Happy birthday, my sweet! You’re a mom now!”
You slowed your steps towards him, eyebrows drawing together in bewilderment at his words. And then you noticed how he’d entered with his hands behind his back, and once Ashton uttered those words, you watched as he pulled his hands out in front—which happened to be holding the most adorable, tiniest labrador puppy you’d ever seen with a cute little collar around its neck.
“Oh, my Go—what?” you all but shrieked, nearly tripping on your feet as you scrambled towards them. Ashton laughed at your sudden action, his call of, “careful, doll,” going ignored as you stopped in front of him and instantly reached for the little pup. “Stop, Ashton, are you serious?” you gasped, utterly enamored by the dog, cradling him like a baby as you felt his soft fur and took in the way his dark eyes looked up at you. Oh, man, he was to die for. A perfect baby version of the dog you’d always wanted.
Honestly, any dog wouldve done, but for this little guy to be the same breed you’d wished for as a kid made an already amazing situation even better.
“I am,” Ashton giggled, clearly delighted at your excitement as you held the little pup up, who happily licked at your chin, eliciting giggles from you. “One of my buddy’s sister’s dog had all these pups so I snagged one up for ya.” He stepped forward, pressing a kiss to your temple as his arm dropped around your shoulders. “Perfect timing, too. Happy birthday, baby.”
You tore your attention away from the puppy to look up at your boyfriend, the grin on your face wide and hurting your cheeks in the best way. Ashton was smiling down at you, and you felt your heart swell in your chest. He’d never been one for pets, being the only one in his band who’d forgone getting a dog, and so the happiness fluttering your stomach intensified knowing he’d go against his already established lifestyle choices if it meant making you happy. There never had been a doubt of Ashton being the perfect man to let into your life, and it was moments like these that increased your hope of him being a permanent part.
“I love you so much,” you told him honestly, going on your tiptoes, and he got the message as he ducked the rest of the way to press his lips against yours.
It was a soft, sweet kiss that had you smiling into it as he murmured, “Love you more.” The puppy yipped in your arms, and Ashton chuckled. “But if he shits in the house, you’re cleaning it up.”
A scoff escaped you, pushing him away with a laugh as you hugged the puppy to your chest, turning away from Ashton as he huffed. “Knew I’d be replaced right away.”
You grinned at the puppy as he licked your chin once more. You’d need to name him soon. “At least you’re observant.”
Ashton trailed after you as you entered the living room. Haughtily, he said, “No birthday sex for you.”
You rolled your eyes, knowing he couldn’t see you and knowing there was no way he’d stick to that. Sitting down on the ground, the puppy jumping in front of you, you told Ashton, “Can’t believe you thought I’d wanna fuck when I’ve got this little guy to play with.”
“I hate you.”
You grinned. “You got me a puppy. You couldn’t be more in love with me if you tried.”
Ashton kissed your cheek from behind you, and you couldn’t help but lean into his scruffy touch as he murmured, “You’re right.”

the proposal|| past para
tagging: @rachelxbarbra
location: the NYC apartment.
time frame: roughly 8 months ago.
notes: its cute. its a shame they broke up.
QUINN:  Perfection. Everything had to be perfect. This was one of those moments in life where you'd be remembering it for years, if something went wrong it would be the one part you'd focus on. Perfection was one of the things causing an undercurrent of anxiety through Quinn for the past month, if not longer. She'd always been aware of Rachel's twenty-five year plan and how Quinn slotted into it. She knew that engagement was on the cards, she'd been thinking about it herself shortly before she was aware of the fact Rachel was considering it. She still had so many things she should work out before she got engaged to a woman her family didn't even know about. She briefly wonders why shes even doing it today, but in her heart she knows that the only girl she'd ever want to marry is Rachel. Shes the perfect matching puzzle piece that Quinn was missing- despite there will forever be the missing piece where Lily should be- and it completes her. Rachel makes her feel almost whole and content.
She was aware that this proposal idea might be a little cliche, but its not like she could surprise Rachel. Rachel had pretty much all but picked out the ring. Between walking Quinn past tiffany's for two weeks straight, and the fact her notebook had been left open on a page scribbled with versions of Mrs. Rachel Fabray, Rachel had pretty clearly spelled out that she wanted Quinn to give her a ring. Its not like Quinn was against proposing herself- she just wasn't a huge fan of the fact that it meant she was the man in the relationship, and its not like she didn't have her own dreams of what it was like to be proposed to. Shes never been good at following what her dream life looked like anyways.
The ring burns a hole in the pocket of the jacket shes put on over her dress. Every moment she has, every movement she takes, shes acutely aware of it. Its little sparks of reminder that tonights the night shes finally going to get to give it to the love of her life. Shes nervous, and scared out of her mind, but oh so excited that its Rachel. Its always oddly been Rachel. She redirects the nervous energy into something better, making the vegan casserole she knows is Rachel's favorite. She has no idea what to do with herself once its in the oven, and she busies herself fidgeting with the placement on the table and making sure Oliver knows to stay put in their bedroom until she commands him. As sound as she hears the click of Rachel's key in the lock shes already smiling softly and calling out to her. "Hey baby" She announces, fiddling with the flowers in the centre of the table one last time.
RACHEL:  There was something different today. Rachel couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was exactly, but she could almost sense that something was going to happen and the lack of worry in her mind made her hopeful that it would be a good thing. And it seemed that way with how Rachel's had an exceptionally good day today. From having an extra hour of cuddling with Quinn because she apparently took the day off, to having more coffee than ice in her soy chai latte, to delivering her best performance in Jane Austen Sings to date--  Rachel was aware of all the little things and more that made her day brighter today. It was almost as if the heavens conspired for her to have a wonderful day.
For what reason exactly, Rachel doesn't really know but she's not at all complaining; she's just content to spend the rest of her day in an even happier disposition than most days. It isn't until she comes home to their shared apartment late at night after another fulfilling show that Rachel notices why today seemed different. Her entire day almost felt like it was building up to a crescendo and it all finally clicks the moment she steps inside their home.
There wasn't anything out of the ordinary inside the apartment. There weren't any rose petals littered on the floor, or candles littering the path to their bedroom, or balloons hanging up in the air, but her favorite casserole was ready, complete with a flower arrangement on the table; her most favorite person in the world was waiting for her with the most beautiful smile and somehow Rachel just knew what tonight was. Other than those things, it was Quinn and her nervous energy, one she's noticed was becoming more and more prominent over the week that pretty much gives it away.
Of course, it's not as if Rachel wasn't expecting this at all, after all her hard work (some were admittedly executed in the most ludicrous methods) in making sure Quinn noticed her hopes of advancing their relationship to the next stage but she wasn't expecting it to be sooner rather than later. The brunette resisted the urge to beam in excitement, determined in not letting her gift of foresight ruin things for tonight. Rachel just knew she was getting proposed to tonight and she'd be damned if she and Quinn didn't have that moment.
"Hey, baby," Rachel called back almost indulgently, a surprised smile taking on her features with ease as she hangs her coat on the rack. "What's all this?" She asked, crossing the distance between them before pulling the blonde into a much-deserved kiss, trying her best to keep her excitement at bay. "You're all dressed up," She noted with an appreciative hum, arms wrapping around her neck as she reaches up to press another kiss on the blonde's lips. "Don't tell me you made all this just for you to leave me alone tonight."
QUINN:  One of her favourite things about Rachel was the way she made things disappear. From her favourite kale chips to Quinn’s hoodies, Rachel made things disappear. It’s exactly what happens when Quinn sees her, finally, after having to wait the 15 eternal seconds it took Rachel to come into sight. Every one of Quinns worries and fears melts away for a moment, feeling the softness of Rachels lips on hers, and the warmth of Rachels arms resting on her softly.
She can feel the excitement bleeding from Rachel and she hopes it’s just about the food and that Quinn can still surprise her with the ring that she’s actively aware of every time she so much as breathes.
Pulling back and quietly angling the pocket away from Rachel, she smiles, glancing down at her own dress for a moment. “I am.” She responds, before letting herself feel engulfed by the loving kiss Rachel gives her. “I’m not leaving you tonight Rach.” She answers cooly, despite the anxiety rising in her chest again. “I just wanted to do something special for you.” She answers sweetly, leading Rachel around to sit down at the place she set for her.
This was it. This was her moment. Their whole relationship led up to this and Quinn knew with her whole heart that she wanted to marry Rachel. She wanted to see Rachel in a white dress, waiting for her. Rachel was the first person to make her understand what loving someone truly meant, from the sacrifice to the way it made her feel like she was being lifted right off the ground anytime Rachel looked at her.
The one word she needs to use dies on her lips, and she struggles to swallow. It suddenly dawns in her that she’s about to change her entire life in a moment, and it charges her. “Bear!” She calls, watching Oliver excitedly trot towards them. As expected, he bounds immediately up to Rachel, greeting her excitedly. She takes the moment Rachels distracted to drop down on one knee, waiting for the moment she reads the sign she attached to Oliver. It took her 5 tries and 20 minutes to get the sign right. Who knew writing will you marry our roommate on a piece of paper was so nerve wracking. Almost as nerve wracking as standing here, waiting for Rachel to read it and look over to her.
RACHEL:  Rachel's not at all unused to these kinds of surprises. Throughout their whole relationship, Quinn has always managed to surprise her with romantic gestures that's made her fall in love even deeper with the blonde, and this was no exception. Sure, she may have expected the proposal a little due to her endless prompting but this doesn't diminish the blonde's effort in any way. "You always make me feel special," Rachel said warmly, wiping away the lipstick stain she'd left on the corner of the blonde's lips with an amused grin before she allows herself to be sat down by the table.
And while Rachel knows what the outcome will be for tonight (she’s been thinking how to say ‘yes’ with the perfect amount of emotion ever since she walked into their apartment), the exciting part is figuring out how it will lead up to the main event. Ever inquisitive, Rachel couldn’t help but be curious on how Quinn would be asking her. There aren’t many clues in the setting but the brunette doubts the ring would be somewhere hidden in a champagne flute or inside the casserole itself. The blonde wasn’t big on cliches but she knew she wasn’t one for unoriginality either.
Her answer comes in the form of a black labrador who practically leaps at her just as her mind registers Quinn beckoning the animal. Rachel almost yelped at the way the large dog bounds up to her. “Bear!” Rachel briefly grabs onto the table to steady herself before wrapping her arms around Oliver, giggling as she playfully avoids his excited kisses. Once he was calm enough, Rachel ran her hands through Oliver's warm coat of fur before her fingers caught on a string.
“What have you been up to again, you silly bear?” She lightly admonished, pulling back lightly before noticing the sign attached at the end of the string, entirely unprepared for what she sees next. Rachel could’ve imagined a million ways on how Quinn would’ve proposed to her, but this wasn’t one of them. The words “Will you marry our roommate?” written in elegant script on a sign attached to their black labrador was not like anything she could've ever predicted.
It was so unexpected yet so incredibly Quinn that the surprise actually renders her speechless for a few seconds. It was perfect. “Quinn?” She whispered moments later, brown hues already teeming with unshed tears as she turned her attention to the blonde. She wanted the blonde to say the words already because she’s not about to burst out her agreement before Quinn pops the crucial question.
QUINN:  Quinn had never truly been able to keep up with Rachel. She’d always been a step behind in the twenty-five year plan, a step behind in thinking about marriage, but reading the expressions on Rachel’s face, she knows she was a step ahead in at least one part of this. It’s one of those timeless moments where she can see all of it, brown eyes scanning the words, the — of it settling in, the shock, and then the excitement as Rachel lifted her eyes to match Quinns. Despite the fact it was seconds, it felt like minutes and Quinn was so glad she got to experience it that way. It was magical.
The soft way that Rachels eyes meet hers reassures her that she already knows Rachels answer. Despite its wateryness, the gaze is intense and unwavering, teeming with excitement. Oh god, the way it fills her up with love. Shes never truly felt complete and unselfish love until Rachel. Sure, she thought she loved Puck, and theres always going to be a connection between the two of them, but it wasn't romantic love. Rachel makes her feel romantic love, the way she'd give every piece of herself to see that beaming smile, or the way her heart skips a beat when she laughs. Rachel really is it for Quinn
She may be incredibly afraid, or worried that shes rushing into this before shes ready but she does know that Rachel is her forever, regardless. She'll bottle up the feelings about that, shes a Fabray, and its not something that Rachel needs clouding them. Quinn needs to be the partner Rachel deserves. Its how she feels and while she doesn't think she fits it yet, shes going to try her hardest to. That includes pushing away her scared feelings. She can do it.
It takes her a moment to realise that Rachels waiting for her to ask. She kind of expected that the sign was enough. It doesn’t bother her, but it takes her a moment to get the courage to say it. This is one of those really important ones, and well, Quinns still nervous, despite the fact she knows it’s a yes. “So uh-“ she begins, and immediately berates herself for not sounding resolute, “Will you marry me Rach?” She says, opening the light blue Tiffany’s box to reveal the sparkling ring it took her hours of research and two actual hours in the store to pick. It had to be perfect so it could fit into a perfect moment like this. Quinn hopes Rachel adores it, she wants Rachel to be happy, it’s really all she cares about.
RACHEL:  Rachel was already expecting this. She’d thought up a hundred different scenarios on what Quinn would do for when she was ready to pop the question. From the simplest proposals to the most elaborate ones (that may or may not have involved mariachi bands or flash mobs), she knew whatever it was, she would automatically love it because it came from Quinn. But even though she knew what was coming next, nothing could still prepare her for when the moment finally arrives.
The way her voice shakes for a moment when she started to speak, the way she looks when she steels herself in her trademark determination before finally asks Rachel that particular question she’s yearned to hear for weeks still has Rachel reeling despite its simplicity. It’s a stark contrast to the ring that’s soon revealed from within the small Tiffany’s box, with a princess cut diamond large enough to cater to Rachel’s subdued desire for opulence. It was simple and grand all at the same time, and it makes everything even more perfect.
“Oh, Quinn,” Overtaken by a multitude of emotions, Rachel’s only slightly disappointed that she couldn’t give Quinn a proper yes when the blonde managed to render her speechless yet again. She nods her head a little too enthusiastically instead, throat thick with unbridled emotion as she finally manages to choke out a soft “Yes,” moments later. The trembling of her own voice surprises her but she forces herself to say what she’d desperately wanted to say for so long. Slowly but surely, the underlying excitement she’s had breaks through and Rachel couldn’t help the excited squeal that escapes her lips as she reaffirms her decision. “Yes! Of course, I’ll marry you!” There was no question about it. She could never imagine a future without Quinn now, and Rachel knew she would marry her in a hundred lifetimes if the heavens permitted her so. Rachel pulled the blonde into a searing kiss, hoping to convey the words that seemed to have escaped her for the moment.

Labradors are polite, easy-going, easy to make happy dogs that take well to instruction as guides or service animals. Poodles are smart, intellectual dogs that speculate about commands and don't always follow the ones they don't think make sense. People hoped that a mix would combine the labrador's suitability to guide work with the poodle's hypoallergenic coat. It turned out that happens from time to time, but not all the time, when the breeds are crossed.
But this hasn't dispirited Labradors breeders. They continue that the cross has created a great new breed that combines the labrador's wonderful affectionate, easy-going nature with the poodle's brains and sometimes its hypoallergenic coat. Even those without the completely hypoallergenic coat are low-shedding dogs, and usually have little doggy aroma.

Holidays and Dogs: Keep Your Pup Happy at Every Age

Two years ago, I did something I always advise others not to do this time of year: I adopted a puppy. I’d been thinking about getting another dog but had no intention of doing it during the holidays. I had gift buying to do, parties coming up and a long car trip to my cousins’ house on Christmas Day. But a week before Christmas, while buying cat litter at the pet supply store, I fell in love with a little black puppy who was up for adoption. I took him home that day. It was quite the hassle trying to fit little 9-week-old Mookie into our holiday plans, but it did give me the chance to really pamper him in a very special way. Holidays and dogs don’t have to be a stressful. If you’re lucky enough to have a puppy, adult or senior dog in your life this holiday season, you can do a lot to make him feel special.
Holidays and puppies
The holidays pose tons of safety issues for dogs — especially puppies. Photography © Smitt | Thinkstock.
Any dog under the age of a year old is considered a puppy, and it’s easy to see why. Young dogs are playful, full of energy and always up for new adventures. Use the holidays as a time to pamper your pup by giving him the vital socialization that every pup needs. The experiences he has at this stage of his life will shape his future.
„Take him on outings. Make him part of the festivities while also getting him some exercise and socialization. Bring him with you to watch a tree lighting, or take him with you on an evening stroll through the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights. If you’ve got snow on the ground, find a fenced-in area and let him help you build a snowman.
„Introduce him to guests. Use guests as an opportunity to give your pup positive experiences with new people. Ask guests to greet your pup with a treat so he associates visitors with something good. Dog lovers who come over may even be willing to go outside and play with your pup, tossing him a toy he can catch and return. If children are part of the festivities, ask them to help you socialize your pup by letting them feed and play with him. Supervise all of your pup’s interactions with children, as you want the experience to be positive for everyone.
Keep him safe. The holidays can be full of hazards for young dogs. If your puppy is still in the chewing stage, make sure he can’t get ahold of holiday decorations, gift-wrapping accessories and kids’ toys. Strings of lights can be particularly hazardous to a puppy, who can get burned or electrocuted if he gnaws on the cord.
Holidays and adult dogs
Your adult dog has seen a few holidays come and go and may be used to the hustle and bustle. He may even feel a bit neglected because you’re so busy with shopping and preparing for company. This year, make it special for him while also taking care to keep him safe.
Buy holiday gifts for your dog. If you’ve never watched a dog open his own gifts on Christmas or Hanukkah, you don’t know what you’re missing. Buy him a few new toys or treats, wrap them like you would any gift, then help him open the first one when it’s time. If your pooch is like most dogs, he’ll figure it out quickly and will be tearing at the paper to get at the next gift.
Watch the treats. Though you might be tempted to share your holiday meal with your dog, keep him away from rich foods. They will upset his digestive system (and may cause a bout of holiday diarrhea) and, in the case of certain foods like onions and chocolate, can cause serious illness. If you want to pamper him by giving him a taste of some of your holiday food, limit it to a small amount of turkey, chicken or lean meat served with his regular dinner.
Keep him close. When friends and relatives come over to spend the holidays with you, warn them not to leave doors or gates open. To be on the safe side, make sure your dog is wearing a collar with an ID tag bearing your name, address and phone number in the event he should get out.
Holidays and senior dogs
Senior dogs might be a bit calmer about posing for holiday photos. Photography © kingpics | Thinkstock.
Senior dogs know the drill around the holidays, and many try to stay out of the way with all the commotion going on. Because of this, it can be easy for them to get lost in the shuffle. Give your older dog some extra attention to let him know you still love him this time of year by making him a special part of the holidays.
Dress him up. Pet product retailers go crazy offering all kinds of holiday apparel for dogs at the holidays. Canine Christmas sweaters are particularly popular and come in all kinds of styles, colors and patterns. If you have a sweater-loving dog, this is the time of year to spend some money on a too-cute holiday sweater.
If your pooch isn’t the sweater type, you can still dress him up with a holiday collar. Glitter, jingle bells, Christmasy bows and an assortment of other cheery decorations adorn holiday dog collars these days.
You might also want to dress him up with a holiday bandanna. My senior Aussie-mix, Candy, gets to wear a kerchief adorned with turkeys and pumpkins on Thanksgiving and a blue one covered with white snowflakes at Christmastime.
Take your dog’s photo. Plenty of pet stores and grooming shops offer pet photos with Santa. Dress your senior dog up in holiday cheer with a special collar, sweater or bandanna, and have his photo taken with old St. Nick. Or, if you like to send holiday greeting cards that include a family portrait, include your senior dog in this year’s photo. Doll him up for the occasion, and help him feel like he’s an important member of the family.

My best friend moved to Florida with her husband in 2009!  She took my Luna girl with her.  I was Aunt Linda to Luna!
Tumblr media
See my “Dedication Page” where I explain my relationship to my Luna girl!  I started my store because of my Luna girl who you will also see on my “Dedication page”.
My best friend got Luna a playmate in 2010.  His name is Harry!  He is a British golden retriever.  Harry loves his Luna so much and was so devastated when we lost Luna to lymphoma in 2011.  The vet suggested she get Harry a playmate otherwise he would die from a broken heart.

So my friend went on a search for a playmate!  She looked up golden retriever breeders and found a breeder from Texas.  Harry’s new playmate name is Billie.  Billie has the same coloring as Luna.

Harry took on the big brother role. He was almost more like a daddy to little Billie.  He was a very protective big brother.  Harry and Billie became very close!  Harry and Billie love each other very much!  I became Aunt Linda to Harry and Billie.  I love both of them so very much.

About a year later, my girlfriend decided she wanted another golden retriever.  She went back to Billie’s breeder in Texas.  Harry and Billie was getting a sister.  Her name is IvyBella.  She is so sweet and cute.
These are my Florida Pups!  I miss them very much!  I wish I could move to Florida so that I can see more often.  I send them stuffed animals that we call “babies” and I touch each of them so that my puppies can smell me on their babies.  When I go there my little IvyBella will gently open her mouth and take my hand in her mouth and walk me around the house.  Harry will hang out with me on the couch.

Billie girl has become a “prima dona”.  She wants you to come to her.  She will hang out on the couch or walk around you waiting for you to come to you.
I have several dog gifts from my store that you might interest you including personalized items where you can switch your pets photo with our photos.
