Top 5 Sports Played in Western Australia
Sport is an important part of Australia that dates to the early stages of our nation’s origins. Cricket, Australian rules football, rugby league, rugby union, soccer and tennis are among the earliest organised sports in Australia, which have helped shape the Australian national identity through events such as the Ashes, the Melbourne Cup and the America's Cup.
Australian Rules Football
Australian rules football is also known as Australian football or Aussie rules is a sport played between two teams of eighteen players. Points are scored by kicking the ball between the middle goal posts. The "home" of Australian rules football in Perth is Perth Stadium, commercially known as Optus Stadium. There is also a local West Australian Football League (WAFL) with nine clubs representing metropolitan regions of Perth. Australian rules football is the most popular football code in Western Australia with over 1,030,000 spectators attending WAFL and AFL matches in 2004. Western Australia has a proud history in interstate football, having a successful historical record and winning three Australian Championships and a State of Origin Carnival Championship, in the State of Origin era.
Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a 20-metre pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at the wicket with the bat, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Cricket is one of the most popular sports in Western Australia. The governing body of the game in WA is the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA). Western Australia is represented at Sheffield Shield and domestic one-day level by the Western Warriors, and in the Big Bash League by the Perth Scorchers. The WACA also hosts international Test and One Day International cricket matches. The Western Fury represent WA in the Women's National Cricket League.
Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball. Western Australia's number one basketball team is the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League. The Wildcats' sister team is the Perth Lynx of the Women's National Basketball League. Western Australia also has a second-tier basketball league, the State Basketball League, with teams located in Perth, Rockingham, Mandurah, Bunbury, Kalgoorlie and Geraldton.
Field Hockey
Field hockey is a widely played team sport of the hockey family. The game can be played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf or synthetic field, as well as an indoor boarded surface. Each team plays with ten field players and a goalkeeper.
Perth has a strong regional field hockey competition. There are many field hockey clubs for children, men, women and veterans. Western Australia contributes significantly to the national Australian men's and ladies' hockey teams which have both been winners of Olympic Gold Medals.
The Australian Institute of Sport hockey unit has been based in Perth since 1984, when it was the first sport to be decentralised.
The 6,000 seat Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University is the premier hockey venue in the state and is the home of state teams Perth Thundersticks and the WA Diamonds.
Netball
Netball is a ball sport played by two teams of seven players. Netball is most popular in many Commonwealth nations, specifically in schools, and is predominantly played by women. Netball is the highest female participation sport in females in Western Australia, with more than 150,000 participants. West Coast Fever plays in the National Netball League and is the premier netball team in WA. Their home court is Perth Arena.

Pool & Snooker - Tips for Beginners from ColourUp Australia
Snooker is played on a rectangular table covered with a green cloth, with pockets at each of the four corners and in the middle of each long side. Using a cue stick and 21 coloured balls, players must strike the white ball to pot or pocket the remaining balls in the correct sequence, accumulating points for each pot. An individual game is won by the player scoring the most points. A match is won when a player wins a predetermined number of frames.
Gripping A Snooker Cue
The first thing you need to teach yourself as a snooker beginner is learning how to grip your cue. Gripping your cue greatly determines how you play a snooker championship game. When gripping your cue, always ensure that you don’t grip it too loosely or tightly.
Work to see you have a natural grip of your cue. Having difficulties finding the perfect cue grip? Simply put the cue stick down on the snooker table then pick it up as this will become your natural grip.
Find The Perfect Snooker Bridge
Finding the perfect snooker bridge is another great tip for snooker beginners. When finding the right snooker bridge, always ensure that your hand is perfectly placed on the table. If you are having difficulties bridging in snooker then here is a perfect effortless tip.
Start by placing your hand flat on the billiards table and then spread your fingers. Now raise your knuckles and keep your fingertips on the table. Once you have done this now take your thumb and bring it up to the forefinger. Make sure that it does not move when you are cueing.
If you do this correctly, you will have a good base to run your cue stick through.
Work On Your Sighting
Another great snooker tip for beginners is practicing or working on your sighting. In fact, this tip is not just for beginners even pros are and should work on their sighting. Why is sighting important? Well, you need to ensure that your aim is good. You can only achieve this with a great vision or sighting. One way you can work on your sighting is switching glance.
When you move and go down to take your shot, switch your glance back and forth. Do this in two specific areas, one, where the cue stick is going to strike the cue ball and the object you want to hit. Once you perfect this, you will have a valuable and priceless sighting in snooker. When it comes to snooker sighting, just make sure that you don’t look at the cue ball when taking your shot. Instead, focus mainly on the object ball only.
Practise Good Cueing Action
Having a good cue action is mandatory for snooker player thus the need for beginners to familiarise with it. With a good cueing action, you’ll be able to hit all your snooker balls more accurately. This ultimately is sure to increase your performance especially if coupled up with sightings.
If you are new to snooker cueing action, there are a few things that’ll help you find your best cue. For starters, when cueing, try as much as possible to keep your arms still when hitting the ball. Ensure that the elbow of the hand you are using to hold the cue stick is in line with the cue ball.
Sticking your elbow out or tucking it into your body when taking your shots can easily result in you not hitting the ball straight or accurately.
Establish Your Stance
Establishing your stance is very important in snooker. In case you are wondering, your stance in snooker refers to your position. With your stance, you want to ensure that you maintain a firm base before taking your shot. This way, you’ll be increasing the chances of you having or making a straight accurate shot.
When establishing your snooker stance, there are a few things you ought to consider. For instance, you need to factor in which side of the hand you use and your weight. If you are using your right hand, make sure that most of your body weight is over your left foot. At the same time, the cue stick should be moving across your right foot’s tip.
Like any other cue sport, snooker championship requires skills and practice for you to compete with the best. Luckily, there are several places Australia wide that offer snooker game spots for you to practice. Once you are familiar with it and you are playing well, you will be surprised by how enjoyable it is.
Play the game focused with all the techniques to win the game with ColourUp Uniforms.

ColourUp Top Australian Soccer Hall of Famers
Mark Viduka
Mark Anthony Viduka is an Australian retired footballer who played as a centre forward. Mark was born on 9 October 1975. He captained the Australia national team to the Round of 16 at the 2006 FIFA World Cup which remains their best performance to date. His four goals in the UEFA Champions League are the most scored by any Australian player.
Viduka began his international career in a friendly series against South Africa at the age of 18 in June 1994. The first game was played in Adelaide and the second game was played in Sydney. Australia won both games 1–0. He scored his first international goal in October 1997 in the 23rd minute of a friendly game against Tunisia.
In 1996, Viduka joined the Olyroos as they competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics. In Australia's first group game they lost to France 2–0. In their second group match they defeated Saudi Arabia 2–1. Viduka scored Australia's second goal in the 63rd minute with a clever back flick past the goalkeeper. In Australia's final group game Viduka contributed early in the game with an assist to Aurelio Vidmar in the 3rd minute. Despite Australia's early 0–2 lead, Spain made a spirited comeback and won 3–2. Due to the losses to France and Spain, the Olyroos did not progress further in the tournament.
Viduka began captaining the Australia national team in September 2005 in place of the injured Craig Moore, the regular captain. His first game as captain was in a World Cup Qualifier against Solomon Islands in Sydney, in which Australia won 7–0. He scored 2 goals on the occasion including a spectacular bicycle-kick goal.
Harry Kewell
Harold Kewell is an Australian association football coach and former player who was most recently the manager of English club Notts County. Kewell was born on 22 September 1978. Kewell played for Leeds United, Liverpool, Galatasaray, Melbourne Victory, Al-Gharafa and Melbourne Heart. While at Leeds he was named the PFA Young Player of the Year in 2000. Internationally he has received 58 caps, and scored 17 goals, while playing for the Australian national team. A left winger also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or second striker, he is often regarded within the media as "Australia's finest football export", despite his career being blighted with injury. In 2012, Kewell was named Australia's greatest footballer in a vote by Australian fans, players, and media.
Kewell scored a goal against Croatia which took Australia through to the knockout stages of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the Australian national team's second World Cup. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Australian Professional Footballers' Association. Kewell also has a British passport through his father's heritage. Former Middlesbrough midfielder-turned pundit Robbie Mustoe named Kewell as one of the greatest players he had played against but questioned his consistency and attitude after his initial injuries. Former German international Michael Ballack has also highlighted Kewell's ability and inconsistency.
Kewell has represented Australia at the 1995 FIFA U-17 World Championship, the 1997 FIFA Confederations Cup, where Australia finished runners-up, the 2004 OFC Nations Cup, which Australia claimed for the fourth time, the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the 2007 AFC Asian Cup, the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, where Australia finished runners-up.
Mark Schwarzer
Mark Schwarzer is an Australian former professional association footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Mark was born on 6 October 1972. He represented Australia at international level from 1993 to 2013 and was selected for both the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups.
Having progressed through the youth ranks of Colo Cougars, Penrith, Blacktown Association and Marconi Stallions, Schwarzer turned professional for National Soccer League side Marconi Stallions in 1990. After making 58 appearances for the club, he moved to German Bundesliga side Dynamo Dresden in 1994, appearing twice, and then to Bundesliga side 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 1995, appearing four times.
Schwarzer joined then-second-tier side Bradford City in 1996 and made 16 appearances before joining Premier League club Middlesbrough in February 1997. He made 445 appearances for Middlesbrough but decided to leave the club in May 2008. He then switched to Premier League side Fulham and made 218 appearances for the club until he moved to Chelsea in 2013. He was the first and to date only, non-Brit to have made more than 500 Premier League appearances (making him the highest-appearing non-Brit in the Premier League's history), and also the oldest player to have played in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League. He joined Leicester City on a free transfer in January 2015 and left the club at the end of their 2015–16 Premier League-winning season.
Having played for Australia at under-17 and under-20 level, Schwarzer made his full international debut in a World Cup qualifying match against Canada in 1993 as a substitute after Robert Zabica was sent off in the 17th minute. During his international career, he won a total of 109 caps for his country. He became Australia's most capped player when he surpassed Alex Tobin's appearance record in January 2011.

Rugby Coaching Tips from ColourUp Australia
Rugby union is a popular sport around the world, played by male and female players of all ages. Rugby union is a full contact sport involving 15 players on each team, with 7 substitutes on the bench. The aim of the game is to score more points than the other side and points are scored through tries, conversions, penalty kicks and drop goals. A match is split into two 40-minute halves, played on a rectangular field, with a referee and two touch judges or assistant referees.
Wear Protection
When playing the full contact version, you will want to give your body whatever protection is allowed. There is an array of protective equipment available, from lightweight jerseys with removable pads, to forearm guards, bicep guards, tackle suits, tackle bags, crash pads, calf and Achilles protectors, headgear and mouthguards. Although you may want to start with equipment, headgear and mouthguards are the two most important pieces you will need.
Practice your kicking
Kicking is a vital skill and different types of kicks should be practiced over and over. One of the best ways of doing this without tiring yourself out is to practice your kicks inside an enclosure (a cricket net or baseball cage is good for this) to prevent you from having to go and get the ball after each kick.
Practice your catching
If you can find someone to train with, you can practice your catching while you are practicing your kicking. Two players in an open space can kick the ball to each other which provides the opportunity for some great catching practice too. Also take the opportunity to practice a range of passes short and long. Spinning the ball whilst throwing is not essential, but it is certainly recommended as it's easier to catch and allows players to throw it further.
Prepare with training drills
Players can improve their physical condition for rugby with some training drills. Shuttle-runs and circuit training helps build up power, long-distance runs improve endurance and overall fitness, and weight training will help build strength and help you bulk up.
Commit to the tackle
If you are going to tackle someone, then commit to the tackle. If you fear going into a tackle, you’re more likely to injure yourself if you go in half-heartedly without correct technique. For a really big hit aim for the waist or the thighs. Practice hits on big bags during training. Also, never close your eyes unless in direct contact, as an evasive maneuver could spell trouble for you.
Choose a position relative to your strengths
Whether it is speed, strength, stamina or other attributes you possess, there will be a position to which your skills are best suited. Broadly speaking, if you are a fast runner then the wing is likely to be your best suited position. Players with safe pairs of hands will make a good full-back or scrum-half, while those with good kicking ability will be suited to the stand-off position. Strong players with good stamina, who like a tackle, will likely be best suited to a forward role.
Play other forms of the game
There are several noncontact forms of the game with a variety of different names including Tag Rugby, Touch Football, OzTag, Flag Rugby and Eagletac. These are a great introduction to the sport to those who may initially be put off by the physical contact of the full version of the game.
Play the game focused with all the techniques to win the game with ColourUp Uniforms. You can design your own custom rugby jerseys and other custom rugby jumpers online.

Gun Shooting Tips for Beginners.
Shooting sports is a collective group of competitive and recreational sporting activities involving proficiency tests of accuracy, precision and speed in shooting - the art of using various types of ranged weapons, mainly referring to human-portable guns (firearms and airguns, in forms such as handguns, rifles and shotguns) and bows/crossbows. If you've never been to a shooting range, it might be confusing, even downright intimidating.
BASIC PRINCIPLES OF SAFE GUN HANDLING.
Many of Range, Guns & Safes' visitors are first-timers, for whom the activity is just a recreational thing.
Importance of learning safe gun handling's four basic principles:
Consider the weapon always to be loaded.
Keep your finger off the trigger.
Point the firearm in the safe direction. In other words, only aim it at the target if you're on the range's firing line, and keep it holstered everywhere else.
Always know what your target is and what's behind it (also referred to as the "backstop").
BRING ALONG AN EXPERIENCED FRIEND
One of the main requirements before learning how to shoot a gun is for first-timers to take a fundamentals course. Importance of attending with at least one experienced shooter - especially if you're going with a larger group. "It's hard to teach four, five, six, seven people about firearm safety, and then keep them safe when they're [on their own]."
TAKE A LARGER VERSION OF A SMALLER PISTOL.
Any first-time shooter should start off with a smaller-sized pistol, such as a .22 caliber, .38 caliber, or a 9mm. However, it shouldn't be too small.
"The biggest misconception is that little guns don't kick," he says. "Little guns actually kick way more than big guns. We always have to go through the spiel of 'Don't get the itty bitty 9mm, because it'll hurt to shoot it. It kicks real hard. Get the medium or the large 9mm, and it'll kick much less.' It's much easier to handle."
DON'T PUT YOUR THUMB ON THE PISTOL SLIDE
When you learn to shoot a gun —specifically semi-automatic weapons— beginners "always put their thumb on the top of the rear of the slide,". The top part of the gun that moves backwards when fired. "They could get injured that way. We caution them to make sure they put their thumbs on top of thumbs instead of the slide."
NEVER WEAR A V-NECK.
One overlooked aspect of gun range etiquette is the attire. Some fashion choices are more obvious: not wearing open-toed shoes, for instance, goes without saying. But visitors should also think twice about donning any kind of V-neck shirt. If they hold the gun loosely, then the round will go backwards and go down their shirt. Kind of embarrassing."
Customize your favorite shooting wears with Colourup Uniforms.
When you’re heading to the range for a practice day or a competition, you might find that you need to follow a shooting range outfits.
As a general rule, you should dress conservatively and comfortably, keeping the temperature and range conditions in mind.
The season will dictate what you put on if you’re heading to an outdoor range, but even if the weather isn’t a factor, here’s a quick run-down on the best gear to wear while you shoot.

12 Soccer Tricks and the Players Who Invented Them
Soccer moves help you beat defenders. A good move will put defenders off balance allowing you to dribble past them into open space.
Too many players use soccer moves and tricks to show off, rather than be effective on the field. Doing moves should help you beat defenders quickly – not waste time unnecessarily.
You don’t need to learn tons of moves and tricks to beat defenders. Most great players use a few great moves that they’ve mastered.
Tricks are often used to a player's advantage, helping him get past an opponent in order to further his team's progression up the pitch. They're also used to humiliate the opposition or for sheer entertainment purposes.
The Cruyff Turn: Johan Cruyff
The Cruyff turn is one of the most famous and one of the most evasive tricks in football.
Though the Dutch hero undoubtedly performed it countless times beforehand, it was first witnessed by the masses during the 1974 World Cup in Germany.
Cruyff, one of the most talented players the game has ever seen, faked to pass the ball before dragging the ball in the opposite direction and heading into the penalty area-leaving the Swedish defender utterly baffled.
The Okocha Turn: Jay-Jay Okocha
Augustine "Jay-Jay" Okocha—the man so good, they named him twice—was one of the best tricksters the Premier League has ever seen.
The Nigerian had a number of evasive moves in his arsenal to out-manoeuvre the opposition, but his most famed trick was dubbed "the Okocha turn."
Rolling the ball one way with the studs of one boot, Okocha would then fake with his other foot to take the ball in the opposite direction but would instead step over the ball and carry on in the same way—often leaving the defender wrong-footed.
The Ronaldo Chop: Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is full of skills and tricks and is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to ever grace the game—his recent exploits in Portugal's astonishing 3-2 win over Sweden, in which he scored a hat-trick, are proof of that.
One of Ronaldo's favourite and most successful tricks is "the Ronaldo chop."
When facing a player from the opposition, the Real Madrid man often attacks him at pace, using the inside of either foot to move the ball inside the standing leg and at such an angle that it takes him in a different direction.
The Marseille Roulette: Diego Maradona
Also known as "the 360" and "the Gringo," this move was made famous by Diego Maradona.
Whilst running at the opposition, "the Marseille roulette" is executed by using one foot to stand on the ball, spinning over it in order to shield it away from the opponent and then using the other foot to drag it away from him.
The Panenka: Antonin Panenka
One of the most cocky or most skillful ways of beating a goalkeeper from the penalty spot, "the Panenka" sees a player nonchalantly chip the ball down the centre of the goal whilst the goalkeeper dives either one way or the other. As reported on FIFA's official website, "the Panenka" first came about in the final of the 1976 European Championships.
Antonin Panenka stepped up with a chance to score the winning penalty for Czechoslovakia against Germany. Facing German custodian Sepp Maier, Panenka simply lofted the ball down the centre of the goal and past the keeper.
The Aurelio: Rodrigo Taddei
Performed on a regular basis by Rodrigo Taddei, "the Aurelio" is one of the more difficult tricks to master. Stepping over the ball with the non-kicking foot, Taddei then uses his favoured right foot to drag the ball around the outside of his left—fooling the opposition to thinking he is going one way—before whipping it on in front of him and back on to his right side.
The Step-Over: Law Adam
One of the most simple yet effective tricks in football, "the step-over" can create a player space to pass, cross or shoot if done correctly.
Many, many players have used it throughout the history of football—Chris Waddle, Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo to name a few—but it is believed that Dutch footballer Law Adam was the first to perfect the trick.
The Trivela: Ricardo Quaresma
"The Trivela" is a very effective way to play a pass or a shot when a player has been forced on to his weaker foot. Portugal's Ricardo Quaresma is an expert at "the Trivela." Having been turned onto his weaker left side, rather than using his unfavoured foot, Quaresma often uses the outside of his right foot—and to great effect.
The Back-Heel: Juan Carlos Lorenzo
"The back-heel" is one of the more simple tricks in football, but if used correctly, it can be one of the best. Simply put, when wanting to play a pass or a shot in the opposite direction from where a player is facing, "the back-heel" is the most effect method of doing just that. It is believed that Real Madrid forward Alfredo di Stefano was one of the first to execute it, after notching one of his four goals in a match against Atletico Madrid back in 1955.
The Flip-Flap: Rivelino
Also known as “the akka” or “the elastico,” Brazilian Rivelino first executed the trick during the 1970 World Cup. Often done using the player's stronger foot, the ball is moved one way—as if meaning to go past the opposition in that direction—before being whipped back, using the inside of the foot.
Ronaldinho perfected it after bursting onto the scene, and it has since been used by countless other players.
The Mule Kick: Gianfranco Zola
Fortunately, England Under-21 striker Ravel Morrison scored a goal using this trick in training recently, and it has since been dubbed "the mule kick."
Though it is sheer improvisation that forces a player to kick the ball in such a way, many players have used in throughout the history of the game, but the most famous is surely Gianfranco Zola's effort against Norwich.
The Dive: Jurgen Klinsmann
The most hated trick of them all, "the dive" has been around for years and is now adopted by many, many footballers in order to con the referee into awarding a free-kick. Though many players will have performed this trick beforehand, it first reared its ugly head properly when German international Jurgen Klinsmann took a dive during the 1990 World Cup.
So much was said about Klinsmann's dive that he adopted it as his celebration whilst playing for Tottenham in the Premier League. Love it or hate it, "the dive" is one of the most popular tricks around and, when executed properly, can be one of the more effective methods of defeating an opponent.

Dart game basic guide for beginners.
Dart is a fun game for all skill levels. The game uses all the numbers on the board, which makes it especially good for beginners.
It is a sport in which small missiles are thrown at a circular target ("dartboard") fixed to a wall. Though various boards and rules have been used in the past, the term "darts" usually now refers to a standardised game involving a specific board design and set of rules.
5 feet 8 inches is the standard height from the floor to the bullseye on the dartboard, while the distance between the front of the board and the toe line should measure 7 feet 9.25inches.
A player must hit the numbers from 1 to 20, in sequence before your opponent. Hitting double and triples counts but just a single score. A perfect turn would advance you three numbers.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO PLAY DARTS
A good dartboard
Set of three darts, either soft or steel tip
Safe, well lit place to play
Rubber Dart Mat ( Not Essential )
Dart game rules.
These first five points are common to most dart games.
Each and every player takes a turn in rotation, by throwing three darts.
At first each player throws one dart at the bullseye to decide who will start. The one closest begins the game or else if you prefer, a coin toss may be used.
Each dart thrown counts against the player’s overall three turns. But any dart that misses, bounces off or falls from the board earns no score.
If a dart sticks in another dart, it counts as a throw but it do not get any score.
The score earned by any dart that sticks in the target is based on the point of entry within the wire divisions and not the colour.
301 Game.
A player must hit a "double" before any score is counted. By subtracting from 301 the count of each dart s player's score is being determined.
The small inner ring counts triple the designated score and the outer ring counts double.
To win the game, a player must reduce his score exactly to zero and the last dart must be a double.
For example, if you need 45 to finish you could do it with a single 13 and a double 16.
When a player scores more than the exact score needed, his turn of three darts will not be counted. For example, if a player score remains ~ as it was before that turn. That means if 15 is required and the player scores 16, his score remains at 15. Also note that if the player hits a single 15, that turn does not count; his score remains at 15. And if 14 is hit, then the throw does not count because you cannot go out on a single 1.
501 Game.
In a game of 501 the object is for one player or a team to be the first to reach zero from starting total of 501.
In other terms, after three darts are thrown, the throwing player subtracts the total scored from his current total until he reaches zero.
Except that the "double" is not required to begin scoring, "501" is played the same as "301".
For team play, the score may be increased to 601, 701 or higher, depending on the number of players. 501 is the game used for most tournament or championship matches.
Scoring.
The standard dartboard is divided into 20 numbered sections, scoring from 1 to 20 points, by wires running from the small central circle to the outer circular wire. Circular wires within the outer wire subdivide each section into single, double and triple areas.
Various games can be played (and still are played informally) using the standard dartboard. However, in the official game, any dart landing inside the outer wire scores as follows:
Hitting one of the large portions of each of the numbered sections, traditionally alternately coloured black and white, scores the points value of that section.
Hitting the thin inner portions of these sections, roughly halfway between the outer wire and the central circle coloured red or green, scores triple the points value of that section.
Hitting the thin outer portions of these sections, again coloured red or green, scores double the points value of that section. The double-20 is often referred to as double-top, reflecting the 20's position on the dartboard.
The central circle is divided into a green outer ring worth 25 points (known as "outer", "outer bull", or "single bull") and a red or black inner circle (usually known as "bull", "inner bull" or "double bull"), worth 50 points. The term "bullseye" can mean either the whole central part of the board or just the inner red/black section. The term "bull's ring" usually means just the green outer ring. The inner bull counts as a double when doubling in or out.
Hitting outside the outer wire scores nothing.
A dart only scores if its point is embedded in or is touching the playing surface. This rule applies to any dart that lands in such a way as to be partially or totally supported by others that have already hit the board.
When a standard board is used, any dart whose point does not remain in contact with the playing surface until being collected by the player does not score. This includes darts that bounce off the board for any reason, that fall off on their own, or that are dislodged by the impact of later throws. However, when an electronic board is used, fallen/dislodged darts do score as long as their impacts have registered on the board first.
The highest score possible with three darts is 180, commonly known as a "ton 80" (100 points is called a ton), obtained when all three darts land in the triple 20.
Game Winning.
In order to reach zero each player must finish by throwing a double, that is if a player one has 34 remaining he must hit double 17 to win, while if player two has 43 remaining he must hit single 3, double 20 to win - or a another combination of scores provided the final dart scores on a double.
Some versions of the game require a 'double start' whereby players must begin the game with a double as well as 'checking out' on a double.
A uniform promotes unity and can motivate players to work together and bond.
In sports, choosing a unique team uniform design, which makes your team look slick polished, radiating confident energy towards opponents and to each other.

History Of Baseball In Australia.
Baseball was believed to have been brought to Australia with Americans gold miners in the Victorian gold rush of the 1850s, where miners would play baseball on the gold fields on their rest days.
The first reports of organised teams and results appeared in Ballarat, Victoria in 1857.
In 1867, Victorian cricketers William Gaggin and Louis Goldsmith tried to set up a game of baseball at Yarra Park but were disrupted by fans arriving for a local Australian football match.
The first competitive series was played between the Surry Baseball Club and members of the New South Wales Cricket Association over June/July 1878.
However, it is argued competitive organised one off matches from as early as 1875 were played before this time. The first interstate baseball games were played in 1890 when Victoria played South Australia at the East Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The visitors won the best of three series 16-14, 27-18 and 22-26 in Melbourne. These two states in 1897 formed the first Australia representative baseball team which toured the United States on what became known as the Kangaroo Tour.
The Australian team sponsored by Mr A.J. Roberts with £1,500 was selected to tour the United States. They were outclassed by the home teams, winning only eight of their first 26 games.
The Americans were surprised to note the Australian outfielders did not wear gloves.
Many of the tourists relied on friends and relatives to get them home as the organisers ran out of credit to send them back home. Those players on the team who could afford it continued on to tour England. Games were billed as Australia vs England and were played at the Crystal Palace Sports Ground, although the tour turned sour when the team manager left London with the gate receipts, leaving many more players in financial limbo.
This set the game back several years in Victoria and South Australia; however, it continued to flourish in New South Wales where the sport was established as a winter sport through the New South Wales Winter League in 1898.
The first Australian championships were in 1910 in Hobart, Tasmania between New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania and won by NSW. This was followed by a similar series in Melbourne, Victoria between Victoria, NSW, South Australia and Tasmania in August 1910.
NSW also won this series. In December 1888, an American, Albert Spalding, brought his Chicago White Stockings and a team of U.S. all-stars to Australia, as part of a world tour. Sydney Cricket Ground hosted three games.
At the end of the 19th century, Americans also tried to set up baseball leagues and competitions in Australia, with some success. A national league was initiated in 1934, and the national team entered World Championship competition in the late 1970s.
Prior to winning the silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Australia had finished 7th in the Olympics twice, which is also the highest position reached in World Championships.
In the late 1980s to late 1990s the national league took off, with most capital cities having a team. The games were broadcast weekly on ABC television around the country. In the 12 months to March 1995 baseball hit its peak attendance rates with 133,000 people, equivalent to 0.9% of Australians over 15, having attended a baseball game that year.
This was just under the attendance of Golf and above outdoor hockey and lawn bowls. A national-level competition still exists, as well as lower-level club competitions, but the game attracts comparatively little or no spectator or media interest.
Several Australians, however, have attracted the attention of American scouts and have gone on to play in the major leagues in the United States and Japan.
Although baseball remains a fringe sport at adult level, it has experienced explosive growth at the youth level in the 21st century. The first Little League Baseball-affiliated league in the country was established in 2007.
By mid-2012, the number of Little Leagues in the country had risen to about 400, making Australia the largest country in Little League participation outside of North America. This growth led the parent organisation to announce that Australia would receive an automatic berth in the Little League World Series starting in 2013.

Custom Sports Food Diet In Australia.
Daily training diet requirements
The basic training diet should be sufficient to:
provide enough energy and nutrients to meet the demands of training and exercise
enhance adaptation and recovery between training sessions
include a wide variety of foods like wholegrain breads and cereals, vegetables (particularly leafy green varieties), fruit, lean meat and low-fat dairy products to enhance long term nutrition habits and behaviours
enable the athlete to achieve optimal body weight and body fat levels for performance
provide adequate fluids to ensure maximum hydration before, during and after exercise
promote the short and long-term health of athletes.
The athlete’s diet
An athlete’s diet should be similar to that recommended for the general public, with energy intake divided into:
more than 55 per cent from carbohydrates
about 12 to 15 per cent from protein
less than 30 per cent from fat.
Athletes who exercise strenuously for more than 60 to 90 minutes every day may need to increase the amount of energy they get from carbohydrates to between 65 and 70 per cent.
More recent advice also provides guidelines for carbohydrate and protein based on grams per kilogram (g/kg) of body weight. The current recommendations for fat intake are for most athletes to follow similar recommendations to those given for the general community, with the preference for fats coming from olive oils, nuts, avocado, nuts and seeds. Athletes should also aim to minimise intake of high-fat foods such as biscuits, cakes, pastries, chips and fried foods.
Carbohydrates and exercise
During digestion, all carbohydrates are broken down into sugar (glucose), which is the body’s primary energy source. Glucose can be converted into glycogen and stored in the liver and muscle tissue. It can then be used as a key energy source during exercise to fuel exercising muscle tissue and other body systems. Athletes can increase their stores of glycogen by regularly eating high-carbohydrate foods.
If carbohydrate in the diet is restricted, a person’s ability to exercise is compromised because there is not enough glycogen kept in storage to fuel the body. This can result in a loss of protein (muscle) tissue, because the body will start to break down muscle tissue to meet its energy needs, and may increase the risk of infections and illness.
Carbohydrates are essential for fuel and recovery
Current recommendations for carbohydrate requirements vary depending on the duration, frequency and intensity of exercise. Foods rich in unrefined carbohydrates, like wholegrain breads and cereals, should form the basis of the athlete’s diet. More refined carbohydrate foods (such as white bread, jams and lollies) are useful to boost the total intake of carbohydrate, particularly for very active people.
Athletes are advised to adjust the amount of carbohydrate they consume for fuelling and recovery to suit their exercise level. For example:
Light intensity exercise (30 mins/day): 3–5 g/kg/day
Moderate intensity exercise (60 mins/day): 5–7 g/kg/day
Endurance exercise (1–3 hrs/day): 6–10 g/kg/day
Extreme endurance exercise (more than 4 hrs/day): 8–12 g/kg/day
Sporting performance and glycaemic index
The glycaemic index (GI) ranks food and fluids by how ‘carbohydrate-rich’ they are and how quickly they affect the body’s blood sugar levels. The GI has become of increasing interest to athletes in the area of sports nutrition.
More research is required to confirm the best recommendations for sports nutrition. However, there is a suggestion that low GI foods may be useful before exercise to provide a more sustained energy release.
Moderate to high GI foods and fluids may be the most beneficial during exercise and in the early recovery period. However, it is important to remember the type and timing of food eaten should be tailored to personal preferences and to maximise the performance of the particular sport in which the person is involved.
Pre-event meal
The pre-event meal is an important part of the athlete’s pre-exercise preparation. A high-carbohydrate meal three to four hours before exercise is thought to have a positive effect on performance. A small snack one to two hours before exercise may also benefit performance.
Some people may experience a negative response to eating close to exercise. A meal high in fat or protein is likely to increase the risk of digestive discomfort. It is recommended that meals just before exercise should be high in carbohydrates and known not to cause gastrointestinal upset.
Examples of appropriate pre-exercise meals and snacks include cereal and low-fat milk, toast/muffins/crumpets, fruit salad and yoghurt, pasta with tomato-based sauce, a low-fat breakfast or muesli bar, or low-fat creamed rice.
Eating during exercise
During exercise lasting more than 60 minutes, an intake of carbohydrate is required to top up blood glucose levels and delay fatigue. Current recommendations suggest 30-60 g of carbohydrate is sufficient, and can be in the form of lollies, sports gels, low-fat muesli and sports bars or sandwiches with white bread.
It is important to start your intake early in exercise and to consume regular amounts throughout the exercise period. It is also important to consume regular fluid during prolonged exercise to avoid dehydration. Sports drinks, diluted fruit juice and water are suitable choices. For people exercising for more than four hours, up to 90 grams of carbohydrate per hour is recommended.
Eating after exercise
Rapid replacement of glycogen is important following exercise. Carbohydrate foods and fluids should be consumed after exercise, particularly in the first one to two hours after exercise. To top up glycogen stores after exercise, eat carbohydrates with a moderate to high GI in the first half hour or so after exercise. This should be continued until the normal meal pattern resumes.
Suitable choices to start refuelling include sports drinks, juices, cereal and low-fat milk, low-fat flavoured milk, sandwiches, pasta, muffin/crumpets, fruit and yoghurt.
Protein and sporting performance
Protein is an important part of a training diet and plays a key role in post-exercise recovery and repair. Protein needs are generally met by following a high-carbohydrate diet, because many foods, especially cereal-based foods, are a combination of carbohydrate and protein.
The amount of protein recommended for sporting people is only slightly higher than that recommended for the general public. For example:
General public and active people – the daily recommended amount of protein is 0.8–1.0 g/kg of body weight (a 60 kg person should eat around 45–60 g of protein daily).
Sports people involved in non-endurance events – people who exercise daily for 45–60 minutes should consume between 1.0–1.2 g/kg of body weight per day.
Sports people involved in endurance events and strength events – people who exercise for longer periods (more than one hour) or who are involved in strength exercise, such as weight lifting, should consume between 1.2–1.7 g/kg of protein of body weight per day.
Dietary surveys have found that most athletic groups comfortably reach and often exceed their protein requirements by consuming a high-energy diet. Protein supplements are therefore unlikely to improve your sporting performance.
While more research is required, other concerns associated with very high-protein diets include:
increased cost
a potential negative impact on kidney function
increased weight if protein choices are also high in fat
a lack of other nutritious foods in the diet, such as bread, cereal, fruit and vegetables.
Using nutritional supplements to improve sporting performance
A well-planned diet will meet your vitamin and mineral needs. Supplements will only be of any benefit if your diet is inadequate or you have a diagnosed deficiency, such as an iron or calcium deficiency. There is no evidence that extra doses of vitamins improve sporting performance.
Nutritional supplements can be found in pill, tablet, capsule, powder or liquid form, and cover a broad range of products including:
vitamins
minerals
herbs
meal supplements
sports nutrition products
natural food supplements.
Before using supplements, you should consider what else you can do to improve your sporting performance –diet, training and lifestyle changes are all more proven and cost effective ways to improve your performance.
Use of vitamin and mineral supplements is also potentially dangerous. Supplements should not be taken without the advice of a qualified health professional. It’s best if dietary imbalances are adjusted after analysing and altering your diet, instead of by using a supplement or pill.
It’s also important to remember that if you take supplements, you are at risk of committing an anti-doping rule violation no matter what level of sport you play.
Water and sporting performance
Dehydration can impair athletic performance and, in extreme cases, may lead to collapse and even death. Drinking plenty of fluids before, during and after exercise is very important. Don’t wait until you are thirsty. Fluid intake is particularly important for events lasting more than 60 minutes, of high intensity or in warm conditions.
Water is a suitable drink, but sports drinks may be required, especially in endurance events or warm climates. Sports drinks contain some sodium, which helps absorption. A sodium content of 30 mmol/L (millimoles per litre) appears suitable in sports nutrition.
Using salt tablets to combat muscle cramps is no longer advised. It is lack of water not sodium that affects the muscle tissue. Persistent muscle cramps might be due to zinc or magnesium deficiencies.
Things to remember
Good nutrition can enhance sporting performance.
A well-planned, nutritious diet should meet most of an athlete’s vitamin and mineral needs, and provide enough protein to promote muscle growth and repair.
Foods rich in unrefined carbohydrates, like whole grain breads and cereals, should form the basis of the diet.
Water is a great choice of fluid for athletes to help performance and prevent dehydration.
