Baby Steps: Drinking Water!
This is the first installment in a series of posts I'd like to do expanding on some of the things I've talked about here (which- blew up by the way??? thank you all so much??? <3) and here!
Long intro/backstory to this post series below!!
Tumblr media
I often tend to immediately tense up at the thought of handling a big upcoming project or tackling something I've procrastinated on or neglected to do, even adding things to my daily routine like brushing my teeth or wearing my retainer- even drinking water, since I've spent a majority of my time in my room just sitting, over the past few years.
I know I have different little posts 'n' such that talk about these things already, but I want to expand on things and get a little more in-depth on advice and things that have worked for me and helped me out!
This series is separate from everything else, though I'll probably list more things in other "regression activity lists" or scenes- You might see some of the same content in multiple posts, is what I'm trying to say- but I do that because different things work for different people, and I know regression in particular isn't all sunshine and rainbows for everyone. I want to try to appeal to a wider audience and learn more from the community, be a bigger part of the community so I can help people out, because that's something I enjoy.
My regression in particular is voluntary and solely for stress-relief, so to me, I kinda feel like I only know surface-level things about it, although I've been doing my research.
There may not be that much to it anyhow, I just-
I just wanna help people as best I can, I think. ^^; Which is why I'm so intent on interaction and explaining that I don't know everything but that I want to learn, so that I can help y'all out.
Anyway!!
Tumblr media
★ This will probably be a repeat bullet point in this series, but if you have a device that can set alarms, maybe a timer of some sort- any kind of time-keeping device that dings in certain intervals, I'd recommend using it.
Alarms on your phone, timers, any little reminders you can make to help you with the things you struggle with, if you're like me and stuck sitting a lot or don't do much during the day (or are the complete opposite and do so much during the day) that you tend to neglect taking care of yourself.
★ Fill up or grab a water bottle whenever you start your day or are about to do something, and keep it with you! This way if you do end up thirsty, you don't have to stop what you're doing and worry about getting water, you'll already have it on you!
When it gets empty, that's what you've got your reminders for! Maybe every half hour or so to check how much water you've got and if you need to refill, or maybe make something as a reminder once the bottle's empty to refill, just so you've still got water and don't have to go back and forth to fill up a cup so often.
★ You could also put ice or fruit in your water! Different shapes or sizes, and whatever fruit (or veggie? I've heard cucumbers taste good!) you want if that sounds yummy! I like my water with lemon sometimes. -w-
I'm not recommending any sort of flavoring or those Cirkul water bottles with the flavor pods because I'm not sure how healthy or reliable they are, or how much sugar they have, stuff like that. If anyone has any info on those sorts of things they use and would recommend, please feel free to share!
Edit: Check the notes, we've got insight! Thank you to everyone for their input!! :3
★ You can customize your water bottle, sippy, bottle, bowl (for the pets!) with whatever you want! Maybe stickers, maybe a straw, you could get one with your favorite characters on it- make it fit and customizable so it works for you, have fun decorating it and make it something appealing to the eye so it might get you to take a sip!
Tumblr media
If you have any other tips, feel free to share! ^w^
Know that I'll always be here for you if you need me, and I'm very proud of you for trying!

Wishlist for Splatoon 4! Mainly customization.
• Playable cuttlefish! (And not a squid named cuttlefish).
• Different body types (default, muscular, chubby)
• Customizable weapons (at least in appearance).
• Freckles that change color with the ink.
• Rainbow skins (Green, blue, pink, purple, ect)
• Wearing any glasses with any hat. (I just want to wear my moon frames with my witch hat. The abilities can come from the hat).
• More dresses (that you buy from the shop and not unlock from amiibo).
• More bottoms like striped leggings, layered skirts, etc.
• Long hairs and octo buns
• Flowers, mushrooms, seashells, and fairylights to decorate my locker with.
• Rotate locker items horizontally.
• Weapons based on watering cans and antique perfume bottles. I'm not sure how they'll work, but I think it would be cute.
• Have both food and drink at the same time! Why can't I level up quickly and gain abilities at the same time?
• Salmon King gauge filling up each time you win a round. I find it odd that it goes up the same if you lose at the first round or win all three rounds.
• Amiibo items to be easier to upgrade to five stars. Look, I paid for the amiibo. Waiting for splatfest to get sea snails for them is annoying. At least let me play a challenge or something to upgrade the gear faster.

Note
You gonna drop the potion recipe or…
You’ll need a few things first so items list
A thick metal pitcher or bowl with pouring spout+ spoon to stir
Reusable teabags
Olive oil
Coconut oil
Avocado oil
I use these essential oils but they are optional and customizable based on your preference: rosemary, lavender, lemongrass, ginger, frankincense, and tea tree oils
Dried rosemary and peppermint/tea infuser
Oatmeal
Rice
Beeswax
Baby shampoo(I use Johnson’s but that’s optional, all that matters is it’s a gentle cleanser)
About 32 ounces of water(I use bottled water but once again it’s optional)
Measuring spoons
Cheesecloth and funnel/strainer to filter
Something large enough to hold the mixture,
A spray bottle(s)
Let’s make our base
You’ll need 1 tbs oatmeal and 1 teaspoons each of the rosemary and mint inside your infuser method of choice.
Place in pot with a cup of water and bring it to a rolling boil then let sit to steep
While boiling/steeping your oat mixture, you can make your rice water
Measure out a cup of rice and wash with clean water 3-4 times until no longer cloudy, the last wash is what you’ll keep
You’ll need at least a cup of this rice water and can do as you please with the access if you have any
Now you combine both mixtures, this is your base for the rest of the conditioner spray
Adding the oils and beeswax
Add your base and a cup of plain water into the pitcher on medium high heat
Add 2 teaspoons of each of olive, avocado and coconut oils
1 1/2 teaspoons of beeswax
3 tablespoons of baby shampoo
Mix until fully incorporated, you’ll know once your wax is fully melted.
Take off heat and mix in 1/4 teaspoons each of your essential oils if you’re using any
Straining
Since we’re using wax and oils in this you’ll have to strain the mixture to filter out the excess oils that didn’t dissolve into the mixture
Take your second container and place the funnel/strainer over it and place the cheesecloth in the funnel/strainer
Pour slowly and take brakes between pours to prevent spills
Once all poured move the funnel/strainer and cheesecloth to the original container or a third container and filter a second time
Repeat at least 2 more times or however many times you feel necessary
Now you can finally bottle it and use how you please, I use it to condition and detangle my hair as well as a toner and makeup remover

1 cup (112 g) raw almonds, soaked overnight in cool water (or 1-2 hours in very hot water)5 cups (1200 ml) filtered water (less to thicken, more to thin)pinch sea saltoptional: 2 dates, pitted, or other sweetener of choice (omit for unsweetened)optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean, scraped (omit for plain)optional: 2 Tbsp (10 g) cocoa powder for "chocolate milk" or 1/2 cup berries for "berry milk"

Add your soaked almonds, water, salt, and any additional add-ins (optional) to a high-speed blenderand blend until creamy and smooth. At the restaurant: I order a dish with pesto sauce. It arrives with mentaiko sauce. Why? "We ran out of pesto sauce." They don't ask me if I want mentaiko sauce instead - they don't ask if I want *any* other option - or even to cancel the order. They just pour on the mentaiko sauce and hand it to me. I'm like, "I can't eat this." They don't make me pay at least.
Ordering online: I select chili. Corn potage arrives. Figure it's a mistake and my order was switched with someone else's. I like corn potage so I just ate it. Not much else you can do when you get leave-at-door delivery. But the next time it turns out they didn't forget the chili, they just don't have it. I have to stand at the door while the poor delivery guy tries to work out how much I'm owed to pay me in small coins, since the meal came as a discounted set. Why didn't they call the first time and ask if I want to swap the chili, instead of just deciding I'd like some corn potage? Why didn't they contact me the second time to tell me they didn't have it? Why did it take them months (!) to remove chili from their online menu??
Amazon Japan order: The megaquake threat freaked everyone out and so we all bought up all the emergency supplies on Amazon. Everything was out of stock by the time I even looked, but my mom who is more freaked out than me managed to get me mildly freaked, so I bought what I could find and fortunately it was going to arrive in August (everything else said sold out until October at the earliest, and most not until December. Btw, you absolutely can just buy a bag and supplies individually, it's probably cheaper that way and more customizable. But the government said "yeah we might all die tomorrow" and so logic and rational thinking flew out the window).
My emergency kit arrived unexpectedly small. "Oh no," I thought. Open it up. There's a note inside: "Because of the high demand after the earthquake warning, we don't have all the items in stock so we will send the rest later." I mean, I get it, everyone panicked and supermarkets sold out of bottled water etc. But why didn't the company contact me and let me know they wouldn't send me everything? I would have CANCELED THE ORDER. Because I've had time to cool my head off since then, and while I don't regret buying it exactly (at least I'm somewhat better prepared now), there were better options I wanted more which I didn't go for because they wouldn't arrive until December. The whole point of buying THIS kit was because it would arrive soon. If not all of it arrives that defeats the point. So I would have CANCELED and figured something out. Also, if I had decided to keep the order, I could have gone and bought the items they weren't able to send separately and asked them to discount the original order or something like that.
Why are Japanese companies so opposed to talking to customers. Especially when the customer has no way to deal with the issue on their own and is not at fault. You don't have pesto? Take it off the menu or tell the customer their options! You don't have chili? Ask the customer what they want to do! You can't complete an order? TALK TO THE CUSTOMER TALK TO THE CUSTOMER TALK TO THE CUSTOMERRRRRR

Not sure if the first one has been asked yet but what genre does the MC's band play? And secondly, just how crazy can the MC get onstage, like on a scale of throwing water bottles at the audience and jumping off of a high spot onto the audience and crowd surf Slipknot's Sid style?
funny you mention that because the genre is actually up to the player as well as what kind of approach your MC takes on stage! I’m trying to make it as customizable as possible, from clothes, makeup, lyrics, theme of that particular song (romance, anger, betrayal etc) down to what instrument opens and closes a song. the genre isn’t even exclusive to rock, I put country and pop and folk and EDM as options and a type in option.
so your MC can get as crazy as you want. It’ll be funny to see people choosing that they sing emotional ballads and they’re throwing themself off stage lmao

Gorilla Shufai Has A Bucket Full Of Fun - Feat. Silverback Oumbi by SloggerVlogger Gorilla Shufai kept himself entertained with some buckets and tried not to get soaked. This was filmed before he had his 7th birthday yesterday ( 24th Sep 2023) Twycross Zoo staff put some buckets of water in their enclosure as it was quite hot. They do have a fresh drinking water tab inside as well. Gorilla Shufai keeps himself busy now his brother Lope lives at the bachelor pad. He pushes over one of the buckets and spills the water. He then tries to rip one of the buckets off the chain. When that doesn't work he stands on it but he slides off. He quickly inspects his foot which probably got caught on the edge of the bucket. All is good, so he steps on the bucket once more and then bites it. Afterwards, he moves onto the big blue bucket which is full of water. I don't think he was expecting it as he tries to pull it and some of the content nearly soaks him. He moves the bucket around a bit more but then returns to the little bucket. Standing and sitting on it. He goes back to the big bucket and beats his chest at it. He moves it and gets a bit of a surprise when the water is delayed in splashing out. He moves away, takes a water bottle and has his aubergine lunch. Silverback Oumbi watching as he comes outside. If you're wondering about Lope. He's doing fine in his bachelor pad. I will try and get some footage of him as soon as I can. Unfortunately, I've been a bit under the weather. HEARD OF FLORIDA WATER? HERE'S WHY IT'S THE ONE THING YOUR RITUALS ARE MISSING
Tumblr media
By Sarah Regan
If you've never heard of Florida water, let's get one thing out of the way first: No, this is not the water you'll find in the state of Florida. Rather, it's a special liquid that's believed to help enhance any number of rituals.
Here, we dive into what makes Florida water so potent, the best ways to use it, and how to make it yourself.
Florida water is an alcohol-based cologne first used in the early 1800s as a perfume. More recently, it has become a staple in mystical practices, explains the author of Revolutionary Witchcraft Sarah Lyons. It's primarily made by the company Murray & Lanman and carries a very citrusy, floral scent.
As Gabriela Herstik, author of Inner Witch and Bewitching the Elements, adds, it was given the name "Florida water" because the Fountain of Youth is said to be somewhere in Florida. She and Lyons both note that today, it's used for offerings, cleansing, and more and is popular among those who practice hoodoo, rootwork, and American folk magic.
Spiritual uses of Florida water
Here are 20 ways you can incorporate Florida water into your own practices, according to Herstik and Lyons.
Note: Florida water is flammable, so always be mindful when using it around candles.
Offer it to your ancestors or guides on your altar in a bowl.
Have some in a bowl nearby when communing with ancestors or guides and asking them for advice.
Place a small bowl of Florida water on your altar as an offering of self-love.
Wipe your mirror with diluted Florida water, and then do a self-love ritual of your choosing in front of the mirror.
Energetically cleanse yourself with Florida water by spraying it around you or putting a bit on your wrists.
Energetically (and literally) cleanse ritual tools like crystals with a bit of diluted Florida water to give them a refresh.
Use it to cleanse your altar and anything on it by diluting some with water in a spray bottle and spraying on your altar, then wiping down.
Use it in your usual floor cleaner to cleanse your home and wash away negative energy.
Fill a small bowl with spring water, Florida water, and a piece of a bluing square if you have one. Place the bowl by your front door to draw out negative energy from your home. Replace the water once a week.
Use it as the water element in rituals, along with a candle for fire, a crystal or rock for earth, and incense for air. (It's considered powerful to have all four elements present when doing rituals.)
Dilute Florida water with spring water in a spray bottle and use the spray to cleanse any room in your home.
Spray some diluted Florida water around you or your space before you begin a tarot reading.
Spray some diluted Florida water around you or your space before meditating.
Anoint yourself with a bit of Florida water (emphasis on just a bit!) if you want an energetic refresh or a boost of creativity and inspiration.
Use it alongside any spells or rituals for attracting love to increase the potency of the spell/ritual.
Wear a bit like perfume whenever you want protection.
Keep some in your workplace or on your desk to welcome positive energy and banish negativity.
Spray some diluted Florida water and patchouli essential oil on your cash for extra abundance.
Add a bit of Florida water to your laundry (especially bedding if you frequently have nightmares) for protection.
Place some in a bowl on your nightstand to more easily remember your dreams.
How to make it yourself
The beauty of Florida water is it's super simple to make yourself and very customizable based on your intention. Herstik and Lyons do recommend getting it from a credible source if you want the "real" thing, though they're not against making your own. Here's what you'll need:
Materials
1 cup vodka
1 orange peel (or lemon peel)
1 lemon peel
8 to 10 drops of your essential oil of choice. (Traditional oils for Florida water include lavender, lemon, bergamot, and ylang-ylang)
A handful or two of fresh herbs of your choosing (i.e., mint or basil)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Method
Combine all your ingredients into a glass container and seal it.
Let the mixture sit for a full lunar cycle (29 days).
Optional: Make it on the night of a full moon and let it charge under the moon's light. Even if you don't make it on the night of a full moon, you can still place it under moonlight when the next full moon comes around.
Where to buy Florida water
If you'd rather skip over the DIY and go with an already-made option, Lyons highly recommends buying it from people who practice hoodoo, rootwork, and American folk magic, "since those are the traditions that first began using it in magic."
Herstik adds that you're likely to find Florida water in your local Botanica stores or witch shops at very reasonable prices, so be sure to check there first.
The takeaway
Whether you're doing a ritual, cleansing your home, or making an offering to your ancestors, incorporating Florida water can be a way to make the ceremony even more powerful.
