while i was looking into plushes with magnets in them to see if my idea would be somewhat feasible i discovered there's plushes that you can scatter into smithereens - the body parts attach magnetically to each other - so if you have multiple you can reconstitute them into abominations

Recaro Mystere, 1977. The seat-maker's Australian subsidiary had ambitions to go into car making and built this prototype coupé based on a Holden Torana LX Hatchback redesigned by Peter Arcardipane. It used Holden's 5.0 litre V8 with the interior made-over using Recaro seats. It was presented at the Sydney Motor Show with plans for a limited production run but remained a one-off as Recaro's management changed and Holden stopped making V8 Toranas.

Thinking a lot about how the devs basically said there is no conflict in the team or between historically opposed people in Thedas in this game because "the stakes are too high, everyone has to work together." When the stakes are very very similar to Inquisitions?? Albeit we as a player know it's "real" this time. The big one.

But correct me if I'm wrong here (I'm not) the previous antagonist was a blighted OP mage with a knock off Archdemon trying to tear down the veil and ascend to godhood? And we are currently trying to *checks notes* defeat a blighted OP mage with an Archdemon trying to fuck up the veil and ascend to godhood? Oh sorry. Two.

Yes, the Blight. But it's hardly as though there weren't Blight concerns in Inquisition. Adamant, anyone?

Anyways, my point being is that the characters of Inquisition have no reason to see the stakes of that story as any less dire than the characters of Veilgaurd. And bless their hearts, those kids have Issues™️. They're all in on petty conflict. That was part of the genius, that the stakes were so high these deeply different people had to find a way to work together despite butting heads.

And the rest of the world didn't suddenly forget it's drama as well? Halamshiral's underlying elven rebellion. Orlesian civil war. The Mages vs the Templars. Chantry infighting. Seeker infighting. Tranquility. They didn't all go, "wait! there's a hole in the sky! we should put aside hundreds of years of systemic issues in the name of togetherness." Excluding the Inquisition that is.

Okay, Blight. Let's talk about the Blight. The Fifth one. You have the most rag tag group thrown together to stop the spread. This is literally the game that founded the series. Its defining features were political conflict. The king was betrayed! In a battle against Darkspawn! During a Blight! What a time to not stand as a united front, Loghain. In your own party, you're trying desperately to prevent Morrigan from emotionally assasinating Alistair. Oh! More conflict. While we are here, let's murder her mom real quick because *checks notes* Blights are when we all come together to hold hands.

If you play as an elf, you're putting up with human nonsense. If you play as a mage, you put up with mage nonsense. If you play as a woman- oh boy. I would make the argument that the realness of that setting, the way it highlighted human nature's best and worst qualities- is why it sunk it's claws into so many fans hearts.

It just.... whatever they've got going in Veilgaurd on only works for a YA novel. Which Dragon Age has never tried to be before. And, frankly, is a weird thing for it to aim for.

Christmas train station

In collaboration with @baumgarten-sims and @sims4luxury, a Christmas railway station has been created on a 40x50 lot. Christmas stalls have been set up in front of the station building. Some people are out and about to make a quick trip to their loved ones or to stroll through the Christmas stalls and shops. Your sim can enjoy pizza, hot drinks and other delicacies at the small Christmas stalls or your Sims can show off their skills on Baumgarten's functioning skating rink. Inside the station building there are two shops, a cozy bakery with all kinds of treats and hot drinks. Opposite is a cozy bookshop, which also sells all kinds of Christmas decorations and small gifts for children. On the station platform, the Polar Express stands in all its splendor with two train compartments. The train is pulled by a magnificent locomotive, which was not built by me but by @simsnam. (You can download it for free in the gallery under the name Steam Locomotive train).  One is a food wagon (works like a restaurant) and the other is a small bar with a poker table. Sims4luxury supported me with the perfect chairs, cushions and Christmas garlands.

aftg au where bee adopted andrew and later aaron when they were teens. she owns an apple orchard that the twins and occasionally a few of the foxes help run but it's almost harvest season and she needs help prepping everything for the town's fall festivals so she decided to put up a help wanted ad. neil, tired, alone, and running out of options, decides to apply. bee let's him use the renovated barn loft as residence when she learns he's homeless. andrew is wary, his family means everything to him and neil is a flightly little thing that could only bring bad news, but something about neil is familiar. maybe it's how he checks all his exits or how he flinches when people touch him or how he cradles the key bee gave him in his palm like it was a treasure instead of a piece of metal. he asks neil for truths and it's like bleeding a rock but he finds neil is more willing when truth is reciprocated. they spend their days walking down the lines of apple trees, harvesting and talking, and andrew is only a little mesmerized with the way neil's auburn curls blend with the red of the apples and his eyes match the sky like something deliberate, like he was meant to be here. andrew thinks that maybe he doesn't hate how neil looks at him like he's worth something. andrew thinks that maybe he doesn't want to lose this. he's still learning how to accept that not everything is transactional, he doesn't need to make deals to keep people close, hes still figuring out how to want things without the fear of them being snatched away. his mind screams at him to turn away and push any feeling aside but then neil is handing him an apple and smiling and telling him stories he says he's never told anyone else and andrew doesn't think he deserves this but he wants it

Palia Physical Card Game - Interest Check

When my friend said "Man, I wish there was a physical card game for Hot Pot" I sat there and said... I can do that. And so I did!

I redrew every card (Yes, this is my own art, I did not trace or anything, I just stared at the game art and got drawing) including the back. With all that hard work I figured, why does it only have to be for my friends and I? So I am seeing if anyone would be interested in buying a deck of cards! They would come with: A full, 94-Card deck (4 of each card as per gameplay) A box for keeping it in A how-to-play booklet for your non-palia friends to learn how to play too! They would cost about $50usd, and depending may incur additional shipping costs.

Mugen Honda Civic Type R, 2024. The Japanese tuner have revealed their latest upgrades for the 11th generation Civic. Their Aero package increases the car's downforce by 25% whilst inside there's carbon fibre console and Alcantara shift knob as well as special Recaro seats. The special 19inch wheels have been developed with BBS and are lighter than the Type R's standard rims. The special LED taillights and a single tailpipe will be available later in the year. At present the parts are JDM only
