Strainer: Ensures a smooth pour by separating ice and other ingredients from the liquid. Types include Hawthorne strainer and Julep strainer.
Muddler: Crushes or mashes fruits, herbs, and spices to release flavors. Typically used in drinks like mojitos.
Bar Spoon: A long-handled spoon used for stirring and layering drinks.
Jigger: A measuring tool with two cones or cups used for accurate pouring of spirits and other ingredients.
Citrus Juicer: Extracts juice from citrus fruits, essential for cocktails requiring fresh citrus flavors.
Mixing Glass: A glass vessel used for stirring cocktails. Commonly used in conjunction with a bar spoon.
Garnish Tools: Includes peelers, zesters, and knife for cutting and garnishing fruits and other drink decorations.
Ice Bucket and Tongs: Used for handling ice cubes or crushed ice in cocktails.
Mist Sprayer: Adds a fine mist of liquids (e.g., absinthe) to cocktails for flavor and aroma.
Mallet/Ice Crusher: Breaks down ice into smaller pieces for certain drinks.
Bar Mat: Absorbent mat placed on the bar to catch spills and prevent slipping.
Magnetic Knife Holder: Safely holds and organizes knives, essential for cutting garnishes.
Fine Strainer/Sieve: Removes fine particles from shaken or stirred cocktails.
Speed Pourers: Attachable spouts that control the flow of liquid from bottles.
These tools, when used skillfully, contribute to the precision, efficiency, and artistry of cocktail making. Each serves a specific purpose in the hands of a talented mixologist.

the best of the best — jeong yunho
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in which yunho didn’t expect his tiring shift to end with fucking the prettiest girl who’s ever walked into the clinic.
ripperdoc!jeong yunho x fem!reader. genre. smut. cyberpunk 2077 au. warnings. non-sexual use of daddy, explicit sexual content mdni, big dick!yunho but what else is new, fingering, BACKSHOTS, yunho is a tease, implied voice kink, creampie, he gets a little rough, nicknames (pretty, baby, princess). wc. 2.5k. rating. mature.
lilo’s notes. this is really REALLY rushed because i was hit with inspiration and started writing without actually stopping so like sorry if it’s ass lol. her cyberware is based on this.
DEFINITIONS. ripperdoc; medical practitioners that can install cybernetic prostheses, called cyberware // eddies; game currency. feel free to ask for any clarifications.
listening to. cyberpunk, ateez (duh).
masterlist.
Tumblr media
yunho sighed as he threw a bloodied towel into the sink, hands finally clean after having installed some new cyberware on a customer. his day was spent operating edgerunners, never quite seeming to catch a break. but what else could he do as the best ripperdoc in the district, let alone this shithole of a clinic? besides, he somewhat liked his job and the pay was good, his way with words getting customers to give him a few more eddies than they were obliged to.
but, alas, it was finally closing time and he’d no longer have to deal with people until the next day. or at least that’s what he hoped.
the familiar sound of the clinic’s door rang through the lobby, singaling someone had entered before he could lock up and making him sigh in exasperation. he pinched the bride of his nose, calling out over his shoulder from the backroom, knowing whoever it was would still be able to hear him. “we’re closed, come back tomorrow!”
“please, it’s an emergency!” the person replied and he froze.
a desperate, feminine plea. yunho can’t say he’s used to hearing that tone in the clinic. with furrowed brows, he emerged from the backroom to the lobby, right behind the counter as he laid his eyes on you. he was obviously much taller than you, looking up at him with round doe eyes and softly flushed cheeks. you wore a short black skirt and a loose sweater; not a sight he was used to here either, not that he was complaining as his eyes momentarily flickered to the sliver of cleavage exposed by the low neckline. maybe he could make an exception… no. he wanted nothing more than to go home, and a pretty little thing like you couldn’t just magically change his mood.
“my ‘ware has been acting up and i heard this is the best clinic in the area,” you walked closer to the counter, one of the steps looking particularly painful as you winced mid-sentence and stumbled before continuing, “please, sir, i promise i’ll pay you well.”
he looked down at you with a raised eyebrow, letting a beat of silence wash over you before he finally answered with a sigh, “fine. go through that curtain and wait on the table. the metal one.”
you followed his hand to see him pointing at a curtain much like the ones separating beds in hospitals. with a quiet nod, you shuffled over as he ducked through the door he previously came out of. there was a small space behind the curtain and it reeked of hand sanitiser as you sat down, the table cold against your thighs. you smoothed your skirt down as he walked through the curtain and set down a tray of tools on a desk pushed against the wall.
“so, where’s the problem?” he asked, crossing his arms and giving you a once-over that had you feeling a little nervous.
“my back,” you muttered, looking down at your hands shyly as they played with the hem of your sweater, “i’ll have to take this off, if that’s okay.”
“oh, um…” he blinked before nodding and clearing his throat, moving to stand behind you. “yeah, it’s fine, go ahead.”
after a moment of hesitation, your body stretched lightly as you pulled the shirt over your head, his jaw nearly dropping at the sight. an intricately designed thin silver chrome spine merged with your skin and extending from between your shoulderblades down to just above your ass. instinctively, he reached out and brushed his fingers down the length of it, biting his bottom lip as he caught the way your back arched slightly.
“god, you’re a masterpiece.” he couldn’t help but sigh out as he let his fingertips explore the metal and the skin surrounding it. the clasp of your bra covered up just a little bit of it, but there was plenty more to see. after a moment, he caught a glimpse of a little spark in the metal on the small of your back, humming. “i see the problem… must be some sloppy wiring. i’ll take care of you, baby, just relax and stay still. you can do that for me, can’t you?”
“y-yeah.” you practically squeaked out, mentally slapping yourself for making it obvious how his words and touches made you feel.
he grinned but didn’t say anything, reaching for his tools and beginning to work. as he did, he deliberately brushed his fingertips or his wrist against your skin, against anywhere he could reach while fixing the wiring between the blades of the metal spine, just because he enjoyed messing wiht you. your waist seemed to get the most reactions out of you, unable to hold back your hitched breaths and your thighs pressing together. you were so sensitive and sweet, trying to hold back all your sounds as he riled you up with teasingly calculated touches.
“how’d you pay for this, anyway? a mod like this must’ve cost a fortune.”
“my daddy paid for it,” you explained with a shrug, “i’ve been wanting something like this for forever, so he let me get it done on my 18th birthday.”
he raised his eyebrows in surprise, nodding with a soft smile. “well, baby, you must be daddy’s pride and joy if he’s willing to drop so much on an implant like this that does nothing but make you look that much more appealing.”
“appealing?” you echoed his description of you, glancing back at him over your shoulder, “you think so?”
“of course, i’m not blind,” he roles his eyes playfully, licking eyes with you before going back to work, “in fact, i’m jealous i wasn’t the one to install all this ‘ware.”
it didn’t help that as he talked, his breath fanned over the back of your neck since he adjusted the table to raise you higher for him to work more comfortably. you learned each other’s names as he talked you through the procedure, trying to distract you from the occasional prods of a needle and sparks of the wires. he also liked to watch goosebumps form on your skin and the way your back arched just a little more as he responded to your words with low hums or muttered acknowledgments.
his hands feel a little colder than your skin as he barely runs them down your back, eyes trained on the gleaming metal. the tips of his fingers momentarily dipped below the back of your bra before slipping out again.
“does anything hurt?” he asked quietly, in a tone he noticed always made you stutter a little.
“n-no.” you shook your head before holding your breath, feeling his hands covers your waist and move down slowly, holding your hips lightly.
“good.” he hummed, nodding and removing his hands before stepping away from you completely.
the loss of his hands made your brows furrow as you looked at him, stepping into your line of vision with his back turned to you as he put away his tools.
“did you need something, princess?” he tilted his head at the sight of the pout you were trying so hard to hide, voice taking on a mocking tone.
your cheeks warmed and your brain short-circuited as he took a step toward the metal table he sat you on, standing a breath away from your knees and leaning down to your eye level. his hands braced on the table of either sides of your hips. if he wanted to, he could lean forward just a few inches and his lips would finally press against yours.
“you.” you blurted out without thinking, unable to process any thoughts in the flustered state he put you in.
“me, huh?” yunho chuckled, silky and low, fingertips brushing against the hem of your skirt as he pulled himself up to his full height and looked down at you. “a ripperdoc like me who works in heywood fixing cyberware? you need me, baby?”
flustered and a little speechless, you could only nod, lips parted as you left out soft breaths and looked up at him with eyes that begged him to kiss you. his hands left your skirt but found you again quickly, one on your waist and the other cupping the side of your face, half of his hand buried in your hair as he leaned down and finally pressed his lips against yours.
a whimper made it past you as his tongue swiped along your bottom lip before slipping into your mouth, mingling with yours and exploring. you felt him smile against your lips as you let out that sound, his fingers in your hair holding you a little tighter as his hand on your waist slid down your thigh. you, however, didn’t feel that hand moving until his fingers pressed against your soaked panties, somehow easily finding your clit through the fabric and eliciting a whine as he pulled his lips away from you.
“so wet and i’ve barely done anything.” he whispered, kissing you again as he nudged the fabric aside to run two digits through your folds, quiet squelching sounds mixing with your little moans and whimpers as he circled your clit excruciatingly slowly.
not expecting his hands to feel so good, you couldn’t stop your hips from squirming, unable to kiss back very skilfully. he circled your clit with just the right speed and pressure, keeping you restless as your pussy clenched around nothing and click slowly dripped out to smear against the table and inner thighs.
yunho gave your swollen nub a sudden pinch and you winced, your hands on his biceps clenching as he pulled away from you with a click of his tongue. “didn’t i tell you to stay still, princess?”
you parted your lips to respond but could only moan languidly as his fingers easily pushed themselves into you, crooking and perfectly prodding against your sweet spot.
“do my fingers feel too good? is it too much for you, pretty?” he mocked with a fake pout, drawing his fingers out before pushing back in. you felt his hand drop from your hair to reach for something and with a push of a button, the table lowered itself smoothly.
moments later you were on your knees, facing away from him, hips pulled up and chest pushed down. some time while he moved you to this position, he managed to remove your skirt and bra. your nipples brushed against the cold surface of the table, shuddering at the feeling combined with one of his hands kneading your ass intently while the other ran down the length of your spine. as he got to the small of your back, he pushed down a little harder, making your back arch.
“hm, so pretty and perfect,” he hummed as his clothes and very much erected cock pressed against your flushed core. you let out a broken whine, burying your face into your forearm comfortably, his fingers sliding through your folds again and spreading them apart. he groaned at the sight, your wetness glistening in the neon lighting of the clinic, spread between your thighs messily, needy hole fluttering.
when he finally pressed his tip into you and eased his way in, your breath hitched followed by a moan of his name, hands clenching as you pushed back against him. he steadied your hips with his hands, eyes rolling back from your tightness as he bottomed out and stilled to revel in the feeling if you wrapped around him for a moment.
butterflies roared in your stomach as he leaned down and kissed the top of your spine sloppily, pulling out before rolling his hips against yours. you weren’t used to this angle, especially not with someone as huge as him, but your embarrassing amount of arousal made it easy for him to move. you cursed softly, a string of whines and moans falling from your swollen lips as his fingers dug into your hips and his teeth explored your upper back, licking and sucking and biting marks into your skin.
“f-fuck, you feel s-so good.” he moaned, forehead dropped between your shoulder blades for a moment before he straightened up again, pulling your hips against his harshly as he thrusted into you, teeth sunk in his bottom lip.
not long after that you felt a knot quickly tightening in your abdomen, feeling your breath knocked out of your lungs with each snap of his hips. one of his arms wrapped around your waist before venturing lowers so he could rub at your clit quickly, the knot drawing tighter and tighter until you couldn’t take it anymore.
“y-yunho- i’m g-gonna-“
“let go, baby. go on, be a good girl and cum for me,” he cut you off, voice gentle despite his rough movements, snapping the waistband of your panties against you, “you’ll cum for me, won’t you? i’m making you– fuck, i’m making you feel so good, right? p-please cum, baby, just let go.”
his words egged you on and soon enough you did as he said, shuddering and clenching and squealing as you came all over his cock, your juices drooling down his length as he continued pounding into you. his hand left your clit to grab your hips tightly, chasing his own high now that you finished. knowing what he needed, you clenched around him rhythmically, whimpering softly because you knew he liked the sound.
without warning, he spilled himself inside you, filling you up with his hot release. your combined panting and shivers filled the area as he emptied himself. once he collected himself, he pulled out slowly, shuddering as he did so before tucking your panties back into place before his cum could seep out of you. he flipped you around easily and found your lips.
you kissed each other lazily for a while, mind foggy after your orgasms. you gasped against his lips softly as you felt his fingers press right on the fabric covering your hole.
“if you can keep everything in while i close up, i’ll take you to my place for another round… or maybe a few more,” he kissed your cheek, reaching to the side and giving you your clothes before tucking himself back into his pants, “if you’re up for it, of course.”
you giggled, also kissing his cheek in return. “i’d like that, actually. you have a really good dick.”
“is that so? good thing a pretty girl like you only deserves the best.”

.˚₊┈୨ The Artist in Me🪞୧┈₊˚.
Hello all!! Yes, I know that everyone is playing with infants right now and probably doesn't want to see anything else, but I still want to share what I created with you. In the poll I recently made on Patreon, the artist's room concept came first and I can say this set has become as complicated as an artist's mind 𖦹 In order to share this month, I had to cancel some of the big items, make more clutter and use some ea meshes. I couldn't do everything I wanted to do and think I didn't do justice to this concept. It's not artsy enough if that is the correct term. So, I plan to continue the set in a better way in the future but hope you like what I share now ♡ The set includes a functional easel, mirror, and many decor items for your artistic sims. You can read more information below.
The set includes 17 items:
♡ Bread Plate | 6 Swatches | 900 Polys
♡ Mini Easel | 5 Swatches | 90 Polys
♡ Food Tray | 7 Swatches | 1k Polys
♡ Pear Teapot | 4 Swatches | 2.6k Polys
♡ Deco Canvas | 3 Swatches | 270 Polys
♡ Easel | 6 Swatches | 780 Polys
♡ Tools | 1 Swatch | 1.4k Polys
♡ Desk Clock | 8 Swatches | 1k Polys
♡ Brush Holder | 6 Swatches | 1.5k Polys
♡ Palette | 6 Swatches | 2.5k Polys
♡ Paper Roll | 12 Swatches | 370 Polys
♡ Paper Rolls | 12 Swatches | 1.1k Polys

Additional Info:
BGC
Tagged swatches
Custom thumbnails
Custom specular maps
Frames, bread plate, and pear-shaped teapot were suggested on Pinterest. Thank you very much to those who gave the suggestions🌼 You can quickly access these items by searching “artist” or “aira” in the game. If you run into any issues please let me know. Enjoy!!
♡ Download on Patreon(Free)
────────────────────────────────────────────
Now this is done, I'm going to update all my mods/cc so I can play the game and eventually do small cc requests. I haven't even played with infants yet :S I want to make cc for them and the babies so badly, maybe this can be the next concept. As I mentioned before, I may not be active for a certain period of time but you can be sure that I stop by and check on my fellow simmers from time to time and continue to create content at a slow pace in the background ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎

Lucio's Market [Restaurant, Grocery, Teaching Kitchen] ♥ The Sims 4: Speed Build // CC
Lucio's Market is where culinary passion meets community connection! Nestled in the heart of Anchorpoint Wharf, this venue seamlessly blends a fully stocked grocery store, a dynamic teaching kitchen, and a cozy restaurant—all under one roof. [Lot Can be set as a restaurant, generic, or retail]
➽ Speed Build Video
➽ Rheya's Notes:
♥This lot has been semi play-tested. ♥To make the Grocery part of the build functional, you can turn this into a retail lot. There are also grocery mods available such as SS realistic cooking mod and the Bulk Grocery Mod. Please keep in mind that I did not follow any requirements for these two mods as the grocery part of the build was made simply for aesthetics and storytelling. You are welcome to make adjustments! ♥We do not have a teaching kitchen venue option in the sims 4, however, the gameplay can be achieve with some imagination! You can turn this into a generic lot and simply have your sims cook/bake together on different stoves simultaneously. ♥Lastly if you want this lot to function as a restaurant, simply change the venue lot type in build mode. I would recommend downloading LittleMsSam's lock mod to lock the testing kitchen's door. This will prevent customers from using the kitchen appliances!
➽ Important Notes:
● Please make sure to turn bb.moveobjects on! ● Please DO NOT reupload or claim as your own. ● Feel free to tag me if you are using it, I love seeing my build in other peoples save file ● Feel free to edit/tweak my builds, but please make sure to credit me as the original creator! ● Thank you to all CC Creators ● Please let me know if there's any problem with the build

Racket
Read here on Ao3!
Summer of Bad Batch | Week 8 | Swimming Lessons
Rated: G | Words: 1000 | Summary: Omega faces a bully on Kamino.
Tumblr media
Omega tugs at the collar of her wetsuit. It is a little tight and small, her wrists and ankles exposed. Biologically, she is the same age as the cadets standing next to her against the wall facing the training pool; however, she is slightly taller physically. Nala Se didn’t think it was necessary to have a custom wetsuit made to fit since Omega will only be taking swimming basics, the lessons extensive and lasting less than a week.
“Where’d you come from?” the cadet on her left asks, eyeing Omega suspiciously.
Omega smiles and avoids the question. “I’m Omega,” she says instead.
The cadet frowns at her. “Why are you here?”
“Same reason you are,” Omega says, shrugging.
“You don’t belong here,” the cadet sneers, “You’re not a soldier.”
Now Omega feels annoyed. She’s being friendly, so why is he being so rude? “Well, you’re not one either,” she tells him. “You’re only three cycles. You can’t be a trooper until you’re nine.”
The cadet sticks his tongue out at her, crosses his arms, and turns to face the water again.
Omega learns that the cadet’s name is Racket, which suits him. He is loud and annoying. And bossy. And a bully.
Omega loses count of the number of times he shoves her underwater. While he never holds her there, it is always unexpected, causing Omega to sputter and gasp when she comes back up.
He takes her floatation device and throws it out into the middle of the training pool. The instructor gets it, scolding Omega for letting it get away from her. She tries to explain what happened, but the instructor interrupts, “I don’t want to hear your excuses.”
When they’re swimming laps, Racket grabs at Omega’s legs or arms as he passes her to throw off her strokes, leaving her floundering to recover.
When the lesson is finally over, Omega finds Nala Se waiting for her with a towel and change of clothes. “How was your lesson, Omega?” she asks.
It is all Omega can do not to cry when she asks, “Do I have to come back?”
“That is the intention,” Nala Se replies, guiding Omega to the private changing room usually reserved for the instructors. “Why? Did something happen?”
Omega glances across the room and sees Racket watching her, a cruel smirk on his round, young face. He might be a bully, but Omega is not a tattletale. “No. I just didn’t like it.”
“Hmm,” Nala Se hums. “I thought you would benefit from interacting with individuals your age; however, if you feel it is not a positive experience, perhaps private lessons would be more beneficial.”
***
“Oh, look, a little lab scrabber,” Racket sneers when Omega walks into the infirmary with AZI.
Omega ignores him, keeping her pace to show she doesn’t care. However, AZI stops to look at the clone sitting on the edge of a medical cot holding an ice pack to a developing black eye. “I must correct you, CT-1051811. Omega is not a lab scrabber. She is a medical assistant.”
“Ignore him, AZI,” Omega calls over her shoulder, putting the tray of sanitized medical tools on the counter and beginning to sort them into their proper drawers.
“It’s so sad that your only friend in the galaxy is a medical droid,” Racket croons and then laughs.
Omega rolls her eyes. “Yep. Almost as sad as ending up in medical because you lost a fight against a seven year cadet in a training module.”
“My medical records are classified, you little brat,” Racket growls.
Omega finishes sorting the tools and turns. “I’m a medical assistant,” she tells him sweetly. “So I have access to all your embarrassing records. I hope your cracked rib is healing up okay after that tumble from the Star Destroyer ramp. You really should be more careful.”
“Why you–” Racket begins, but Omega flees the room, AZI whirring behind her.
***
She’s done it. She’s finally found her brothers. And she’s sitting with them for a meal. They don’t seem to know what to make of her yet; however, Omega knows they’ll warm up to her. She’s their sister after all. They just don’t remember.
“Check it out,” a voice says behind her. Omega would know that awful voice anywhere. “The defect squad’s got themselves a new recruit. Another member added to the Sad Batch.”
Omega feels her blood begin to boil under her skin, anger bubbling up so fast she doesn’t really think about it when she climbs up on the table and picks up her bowl of soup. No one talks about her little brothers that way. Not on her watch. The bowl of soup hits its mark stunningly: the back of Racket’s stupid head.
“What the…” Racket whirls around, expression twisted with rage muted by the sludge of soup dribbling down his face and armor. “Who threw that?”
Omega already has her next projectile in hand. “I did. Now apologize to my friends.”
“I like this kid!” Wrecker’s voice sounds delighted, but Omega doesn’t let the warmth that fills her distract from the task at hand as Racket makes his way back to the table.
“What did you say to me?” he demands.
Hunter steps in, moving between Omega and her target. “Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back off,” he tells Racket, “I suggest you keep moving.”
Racket glares down Hunter, shifts his gaze to Omega, and then to something behind her. Omega knows it must be Wrecker looming at her back. She keeps her expression firm.
Wisely, he deflates, scoffing. He starts to turn around, but not without having the final word. “Know your place, lab scrabber,” he tells Omega, smirking.
Omega glares after him. She can take him calling her names.
But apparently, Wrecker can’t. A tray of food flies past Omega’s head, hitting Racket hard, nearly toppling him. Omega grins as the cafeteria begins to erupt into chaos. This will be a good bonding experience with her brothers.
And they already have her back.

"Hello!" Your favorite voice bounced off the walls all throughout the quiet and empty bakery after the sound of the bells above the door chimed.
"Hey, honey! I'm in the kitchen!" You called out, a sickeningly delightful smile smeared across your face as you could hear his foot steps quickly approaching.
Since you we're facing away from the doorway, busy peeling and chopping apples on the big stainless steel countertops, you felt him before you saw him.
Steve's big arms engulfed you from behind as he peeped at what you were up to from above your head. "What's cookin' good lookin'?"
You laughed at his question before setting the big, freshly sharpened knife on the cutting board and ripping off your vinyl gloves. "Well for now it's just apples, but hopefully in an hour or two it'll be a whole tray of apple crisp bars ready to go for morning rush."
"Well it already looks delicious" He commented with a lopsided grin as you tossed the gloves into the trash for an opportunity to give him a proper hug.
You wrapped your arms around each other and lingered there for longer than an average hug, but who could blame you when he smelled so nice and held you so close and snug against his built chest. "They're just green apples, Honey"
"I love green apples" He stated as a matter of fact.
"Well today is your lucky day, because we have far too many so eat away" You released Steve from the hug and finally got to admire him.
It seemed as though every t-shirt he owned was one wrong move away from bursting at the seams, all while his legs just went on for miles and miles an-
"Soooooo, how can I help?" He asked, running his hand through his hair to pull it off his face.
"However you want" You smiled knowing that was his favorite answer.
If there was nothing blatantly obvious that needed to be done, he always found tasks that he loved to do. From organizing the cookie cutter bins by category in alphabetical order, to rearranging all the spools of ribbon on the long hanger to be in order of the color wheel, he always did it with a smile on his face.
At first you found it a little unnerving as if he felt pressured into needing to do something rather than just hang out with you, but after a few weeks of insisting, you finally understood he really did enjoy keeping busy any way he could. Anything that could occupy his hands and mind kept him one step closer to sanity.
"Ohh!" He lit up. "Can I finally fix that light in the bake case?"
He's quite literally been begging to fix it ever since he noticed one of the tiny lights in the bake case had been out. It wasn't enough for a customer to notice, nor was it a dire issue so it kept getting pushed to the back burner. It also wasn't as simple as just replacing the bulb, there were screws and wires and some weird metal pieces attached to weird plastic pieces...
"Be my guest, I know that would make you so happy"
"Just think of how beautiful your apple crisps will be in the morning under all of the lights, rather than all of the lights except for that one that's been out for weeks!"
"What would I ever do without you, Stevie?" You giggled as you snapped on a new pair of gloves to continue your apple chopping. "The bake case would be so dull... much as every passing day"
"Ugh, you're so lucky to have me." He joked with a sigh. "Screw driver?"
"Tool box is in the supply closet, very top shelf, back left corner." Your smile prevailed. "Did you lock the door?"
"Yes ma'am, and closed the blinds."
"Wow, at this point you're my best employee."
"And don't you forget it" Steve threw you a casual wink before disappearing into the lobby.
The light was an easy 15 minute fix, well, it would've been about five had he not lost a screw that took 10 minutes to find but he would never admit that. As he was finishing up, he heard what was almost a hissing sound coming from you in the kitchen, followed by clanking as if something had been dropped onto the metal countertops.
The sounds piqued Steve's concern, so he closed the case back up. But as he was walking back to the kitchen, he heard your little voice call out to him.
"Steve?" It was shaky and scared, something he had never heard from you before. Needless to say his walking pace turned into a jog, and when he made it through the doorway he saw you holding your hand in the other.
Your face was white as a ghost and your eyes were spacey, but the closer he got he noticed you were squeezing a bunched up paper towel to your hand and slowly swaying. He looked over to your apples to see a red puddle and the knife where it shouldn't be.
He recognized that glossy facial expression, he had seen it millions of times before on battlefield and training rooms. So he offered you a comforting smile as he approached to keep a hand on you. If you were about to pass out, he would be there to catch you.
"I um..." You started, but you couldn't quite get the words out without your internalized panic becoming very, very external. "Was cutting- then the knife slipped and I...caught it..."
"Are you okay?" He rubbed your arm as all his extensive first aid training from his days as an Avenger came flooding back to him.
"Bleeding" You stated, blinking your eyes as fuzzy darkness started to overtake your vision in invasive swirls. "A lot."
"Feelin' dizzy?" He questioned gently.
"Very." You nodded.
"Alright sweet girl, let's get you sitting down." He encouraged. You took one wobbly step before Steve stopped you in your tracks. There was no way you were going to make it to a chair by the will of your own two feet. "Okay I'm just going to pick you up."
You nodded in agreement and he swooped you into his arms like a rag-doll. You didn't even feel the need to hang on in case he dropped you, you just focused on keeping firm pressure on your hand as he took you to the front and set you down on a padded booth.
"Can I see it?" Steve questioned as he squat down in front of you. Once again you nodded and slowly pulled the paper towel away from your hand to reveal a nice slice right in the cushioned part of your palm beneath your thumb.
He inspected it the best he could but there was too much blood to even see what was going on beneath it, and when you curiously took a peak at your own hand, the black fuzzies invaded more of your vision.
"I think- I think I'm going to pass out." You mumbled.
Steve's eyes met yours in an instant when you admitted that, and he saw your ghostly white complexion had turned into bright pink cheeks and your head barely standing still. He pressed the paper towel back into your palm to block your injury from your eyesight.
"It's okay, lay down. Deep breaths." He reminded you, and assisted you on a slow and careful journey downwards on the booth. He reached over and grabbed a throw pillow from one of the lounge chairs and slipped it under your head. "Where's the first aid kit?"
"B-bathroom." You mumbled.
"Keep putting pressure on this, I'll be right back." He told you, guiding one of your hands to the other so you could firmly press them together.
You tried your best to stay awake even though you had to fight through the tunneled ringing in your ears and you lack of ability to see anything beyond the dizziness. However, you did hear his feet moving quickly around the store and the hand washing sink running.
Less than a minute later he was back and sitting on the floor in front of you, and setting down everything he had grabbed. You looked down to see him snapping on some gloves that barely fit his big hands, along with a whole roll of paper towels and both first aid kits. The calm expression on his face reminded you of exactly who he was, and what he did for most of the years of his life before he even met you.
"Here, take a few sips of water." He instructed you, cracking open a cold plastic bottle he took from the drink fridge. You did as you were told before placing the cold bottle against your hot cheeks as he sandwiched your injured hand between his two. "I'm going to see what I can do with what I have here, okay?"
"Do I need stitches?" You asked.
"I don't know yet, but I'll try my best to avoid that." He grinned before pulling the bloody paper towel off your hand. "Did you wash this already?"
"Ran it under water" You sucked in a breath as you felt gushes of thick warm liquid as he left it uncovered. Having not learned your lesson the first time, you looked again. "Oh my god..."
"Don't look at your hand, look at me." He advised you as he wiped away at the blood. It really wasn't stopping or slowing down at all, so he sandwiched your hand between his again and held it with firm pressure from both sides. "We're just going to hold hands for a while."
His reassuring smile as his eyes met yours made you feel like you could breathe again. "Well this is nice."
"Walk in the park" He agreed. "Does it hurt or can I squeeze harder?"
"Harder is okay" You agreed, so he did. It was just enough to feel your hand throbbing in his hold but not enough to cause more pain than you were already in.
"So, how was your day?" He questioned nonchalantly, trying to pull your mind away from your hand in attempts to calm you down. Plus he knew he needed a good amount of pressure to stay there for a little while.
"It was fine-busy." You answered shortly wanting to cut to the chase. "You're like, medically trained? You can give me stitches?"
"I'm trained enough to stop bullet wounds from bleeding out, and I've given stitches more times than I even remember." He reassured you. "But I have nothing here to work with, and I don't know enough to medically decide what kind of stitches would be best for this. If you need them, the best hands to be in will be a doctor's" He explained.
"Does it hurt?"
You worried eyes were killing him, but setting realistic expectations for what was to come seemed to be the best way you knew how to deal with your own fears, so he was happy to answer. "Another benefit of a doctor is that they'll numb you before. A few little shots around your hand and you'll barely feel a thing. It definitely doesn't hurt more than catching a falling knife."
You nodded with a gulp before an anxious, almost guilty admission slipped past your lips. "I'm really scared of the hospital. I know that probably sounds stupid to you but-"
"That's not stupid." He shook his head. "Most people only find themselves in a hospital when a bad thing happened to them or someone they loved. It's easy to be scared of a place like that."
"I'd rather you sew my hand together with a needle and thread and no pain killers then have a panic attack by myself in the emergency room." You continued to express your fears.
It was apparent to him now that the panic in your voice wasn't necessarily over the injury itself, but the thought of having to seek medical treatment. His first words without much thought would've been 'you won't be alone, I'll go with you', but you were smarter and more thoughtful than him. Stepping into a hospital with cameras around every square inch of the building and high security would be like locking himself in a cell.
You could see his wheels turning, trying desperately to find a solution to ease your mind before he let go of the pressure on your hand to check in on the cut. "It does actually seem to be slowing down a bit, but it looks pretty deep. Even if it closes on its own it's going to keep ripping open." He sighed.
You could tell he was contemplating the most morally correct option. He could do this himself and it would be fine, or he could encourage you to seek medical help and you'd have a not so fun night in the emergency room by yourself.
"Please" You pleaded, tears pooling in your lash line. "Georgia hates me, I have no family here, and I don't feel comfortable going with any of my other friends. We both know you can't step foot into a hospital."
"Can I ask what exactly you're afraid of?" Steve questioned gently, one of his hands still squeezing yours while the other rubbed up and down your arm to try and comfort you.
"I had a lot of really bad nights by myself at Greenwood medical." You started, unsure of how much you actually wanted to confess because you hated the way people looked at you when they found out. But Steve, maybe he would be different. Maybe he wouldn't look at you that way. "My ex-boyfriend he... wasn't very nice. And going there just reminds me of all of those times I was there alone because of him and I just- I can't go there."
His eyes softened, and his eyebrows tried hard to hide his inward emotion but he was still sympathetic. There was not much detail, but he got it now. He was done asking questions until you were ready to tell him more, and he was going to make sure you didn't have to step one single foot anywhere alone tonight.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that." He sympathized, still rubbing your arm. "I have a lot of first aid supplies at home, I think I can make it work. I have a few things we can try before I sew it up, but just in case I do have a sterile needle."
You quickly nodded, accepting his offer to play doctor for you. "I'll just clean up the kitchen really quick-"
"No" He giggled as you started sitting up. "You stay here and keep putting pressure on it , I'll clean up the kitchen then take you to my house."
"I'll be fine" you insisted, but as you fully sat up a whole new wave of dizziness hit you once more.
"Just stay here." He smiled, wrapping your hand up with lots of gauze and tying cotton wrap around it as tightly as he could. "I'll be right back."
He disappeared through the kitchen door way, leaving you to lean your head back against the wall and take in some deep breaths to calm yourself down. You could hear the fridge opening and closing, the three compartment sink running, and the contents of the sanitizer bucket being dumped out before he came back to you.
He handled you with such tenderness and care as he helped get you into the car and back to his place. You didn't really even have a chance to process the new environment you were in as he urgently rushed you up the stairs and sat you on top of the en suite bathroom counter with your hand dripping blood over the sink.
He started rummaging through the cabinet and advising you to look away once more before he snapped on a new pair of gloves and aided the best way he knew he could.
Through the whole ordeal he told you exactly what he was doing before he did it, let you squeeze his hand as he sanitized it as you both knew the stinging was going to hurt like hell, then at the very end he was just as happy as you were that a bit of super glue and some butterfly closure bandages saved you from that sterile needle he told you about.
When all was said and done, it was nearing 10pm and he could just see the emotional and physical exhaustion dripping off of you. So the second the final wrapping was secured on you hand and he knew you were on the road to a smooth recovery, he gently raised the back of it to his mouth and gave it an exaggerated kiss just to make you smile.
"All better?" He asked, your eyes opening to look at him when you felt his mustache tickle your skin.
"Thank you, Doctor Rogers" You softly smiled, not having much energy left. "Your services are greatly appreciated."
"It's easy to be a great doctor when you have a great patient" He admitted. "I'm sorry, I know that hurt. On a scale of one to ten, how much of an asshole do you think I am now?"
"Zero" Your smile stretched beyond what you thought was possible. "Far less painful than the alternative."
"Good, that's all I could've hoped for." He let go of your hand. "Are you okay?"
Though the question was played off as surface level, you knew what he was really asking. Instead of answering the question with a lie, or forcing yourself into the emotional intimacy of telling the truth, you simply stuck your arms out for a hug.
He didn't hesitate to step between your legs and let you lean forward onto him before he protectively wrapped his arms around you.
The two of you stayed there for a while, but he didn't mind one bit. He ate up every second of it considering human contact in the past year of his life was few and far in between before meeting you.
"Why do you have so much first aid?" You questioned with your chin resting on his shoulder, arms happily keeping him close.
"Nat, Wanda, Sam... they all know exactly where I am. If they need a place to hide away I just want to be prepared." He explained. "Just in case something happens."
"You're a good man, Steve." You told him confidently. Somehow, talking about your hard realities felt easier like this. Being so close yet not having to see the worried facial expressions of each other as you talk about it. "Does Tony know?"
"Yeah" his voice broke, almost as if he was whispering. "He knows Bucky is in Wakanda too. He knows I broke everyone out of the raft, and didn't do anything about it when he got the call. Even if he hates me, I think there's a part of him that understands why I had to do what I did."
"How is Bucky doing?" You questioned.
"They cured him" Steve told you. "I got to talk to him yesterday. He's doing good, but even though the winter soldier is gone he has a lot of healing to do."
"Does it make you happy when you get to talk to them?" You asked knowing how much guilt he held onto.
"It does, I get a lot of peace of mind. It seems like everyone is making the time to work on themselves. Do things they've always wanted to do but haven't gotten to yet because avenging got in the way." He explained as he relaxed into you once more.
With each honest answer, you found yourself wanting to be more honest with him too.
"How about you?"
"I'm doing better. I slept through the night last night- anxiety levels are starting to creep down. I feel like I'm starting to accept that Captain America isn't who I am anymore, and that's okay." His answer sounded genuine to you. "So, I ask you again. Are you okay?"
"I wasn't." You confessed. "For a very long time, I was in a very bad place. I thought I was doomed to a lifetime of never being able to move on from how he hurt me. But I got there, and I'm doing a lot better. It's just sometimes things happen that remind me of how bad it really was, and it makes me panic out of fear of feeling how I used to. But I'm okay now."
"Where is he now?" Steve tightened his grip on you, nestling the side of his head into yours.
“Arizona"
"Do you want me to drive to Arizona and cut off his dick?" Steve offered, earning a heavenly laugh from you.
"It's okay, all that drive time isn't worth three inches." You smiled.
He laughed right in your ear before letting out a sigh. "You're right, three inches is more embarrassing than nothing at all."
You slowly let go of him and leaned back against the mirror, though Steve didn't feel ready to stop touching you yet so his hands make their way to the sides of your thighs.
"You're so sleepy" He grinned, being unable to hide how adorable he truly thought it was.
"I've been up since 4 this morning, of course I'm sleepy." You agreed.
"I'm mad at you, by the way." He stated with a sigh, mischievously raising an eyebrow.
"Oh yeah? What'd I do?" You questioned, hyper-aware of his warm hands squeezing your legs.
"You make me enjoy your company so much that no matter how much time we spend together it's never enough." Steve explained. "And when you leave? I miss you. Why did you do that to me?"
"M'sorry." You apologized disingenuously. "What are you going to do about it? Call the police?"
"Mhm, report you for harboring a fugitive." He joked.
"How dare you?" Your eyebrows playfully furrowed and your lips tugged upwards. "Then what would happen to my stupidity handsome fugitive? I'm pretty sure he survives off of chocolate chips and almond croissants. He'd wither away without the bakery"
"He'd have to run far, far away. Find a new bakery in a different town and cry over how lame the almond croissants are compared to yours."
"How do I keep you from dialing 911?" You asked. "How could I possibly spare you from a dull life full of mediocre pastry?"
"It's simple, just stop making me miss you so much." He shrugged.
"I think that's something you'll have to work on within yourself, sweet cheeks."
"Bucky did always say I have quite the knack for becoming far too attached to the people around me." Steve explained. "But this? This was never supposed to happen. Not when I told myself I wouldn't trust anyone until I could figure out how to absolve my criminal status."
"Well told myself I'd never let another man sneak his way into my heart, but here we are." You shrugged, cheeks warming at your own words.
"Is that what's happening?" Steve asked.
"We're either living in a cloudy bubble of naïveté, or maybe we were both supposed to end up right here, right now." You sleepily let your thoughts spew out of your mouth.
You watched the well oiled gears in his brain turn and crank until he deflated. "I really care about you."
"But?" You asked, feeling your heart sink to your stomach.
"I'm going to have to leave one day." He reminded you. "I don't want to hurt you like that."
"I know that." You nodded as you took his hand into your non injured one. "But you've been on the run for almost a year now, Steve. That's a whole year of your life that you'll never get back just because you don't know where you'll have to go or what you'll have to do next. Tell me, how much longer do you think you'll have until you leave Greenwood?"
"I don't know." He whispered, trying to understand your point.
"How long until you're forgiven?"
"I don't know."
"How long until the world needs their Steve Rogers back?"
"I don't know."
"How long has it been since we've been dancing around whatever is going on here just because time is so uncertain?" You laced your fingers with his, and his thumb nervously traced stripes into the back of your hand.
"Since the moment I saw you." He admitted, cheeks glowing pink.
"It's been a long time. A really long time. Months" You reminded him. "Whether we have a whole life time ahead of us, or only five more minutes, I'd rather spend the rest of my time with you being genuinely happy instead of dully dancing around the inevitable."
"Are you going to hate me when I go?" He questioned softly. You could see the concern smeared across his face. The fear flooded his eyes and sunk his eyebrows, he really couldn't handle one more person he loves hating him.
"Nothing could make me hate you." You denied. "I understand that this can't be forever, and that's okay. I just want it for now."
His free hand made its way up to your hair before gently pulling the strands that didn't quite make it into your ponytail away from your face and behind your ear.
Thoughts were firing out of every corner of his mind and ricocheting off every surface they could. It caused a chaotic sea of emotions, and paralyzed him with lack of words as the only outcome he could think of in this moment was closing his eyes and leaning forward hoping you'd meet him halfway.
And you did. His hand traveled along with your movements, caressing the side of your face as your soft lips met his.
The kiss was long, gentle, and sweet. Both of you couldn't remember the last time butterflies filled your stomach that didn't involve cutting it really close in hand to hand combat or just barely escaping a man that wanted to do you harm.
Most people loved to offer unsolicited advice when they learned of the situation with your ex. They all advised you, butterflies aren't some romantic feeling that was meant to sweep you off your feet, it was anxiety warning you to run.
But this, this was different. They were calm, slow flutters that made you feel so warm and relaxed that running wasn't even an option. You were more so melting into his hands like a popsicle on a hot summer day, you felt like the chunks of butter atop a crumble in the oven; slowly melting and turning a good thing even better.
When you mutually pulled away because the unfortunate human need to breathe was just too much, your foreheads and noses stayed pressed together.
"I think you're braver than me." Steve admitted, thou could hear the sadness in his voice.
"Why is that?"
"You've already accepted that this can't be forever, yet I already miss you even when you're right in front of me." His throat felt like it was closing, and his heart was slowly being ripped apart in his chest.
You kissed his lips once more, then again, and again. "I'll miss you too, but we shouldn't keep wasting such a good thing while it's right in front of us. Our time together is so precious, we have a chance right now to make the most out of it." He kissed you this time, then you continued. "Sunflowers still grow when the moon is out."
"I don't know if I would still be surviving this without you." The confessions wouldn't stop flowing passed his lips at this point. "I guess that makes you my sunflower in the dark."
"You'll make it home one day." You pulled your forehead off of his. "You'll be forgiven, you'll get your family back, and when it happens I'll still be cheering you on."
"I'll tell them all about Greenwood, and how I risked everything for a sweet little baker that catches falling knifes and hides away criminals." His sadness started to dissolve when he saw how yours never arrived.
It did, but you did a good job hiding it for the sake of his own mind.
"I'm not hiding away a criminal, I'm hiding away my best friend. Big difference."
His smile stretched impossibly wide. "They'll never believe me, by the way. All of them will make jokes about it until I find my way back to you and they see it with their own eyes."
"If that's the case, you'll need to fill me in on what kind of desserts Avengers like to eat because I'll have to win them over somehow." A yawn took over the end of your words.
"Do you want me to walk you home?" Steve questioned.
You shook your head. "Don't want to miss you that much."
"Okay, then how does Cars 2 and some real cuddles this time sound?"
"Like a dream come true." You smiled before taking another opportunity to steal a kiss.
"Come on, let's get you cozy." He offered you a hand to help you off the counter.
You both changed into some cozier clothes after he found you a shirt and some sweatpants of his that might've had a fighting chance at staying on your body. It earned a good laugh when you had to roll up the waistband a few times and tie the drawstring tight, but your efforts to still look a little cute in a super soldiers clothes were diminished when his shirt swallowed you whole.
Although Steve's clothes looked much better on him, you couldn't even begin to deny how comfortable you were as you slipped into his bed in his surprisingly well decorated bedroom and found yourself wrapped up in him once more.
"Tomorrow I'll help you change the bandages on your hand and drive you to work." He exclaimed while running his fingers through your hair that was now out of its ponytail and flowing freely.
"That's some real princess treatment." You drowsily mumbled, soaking in his body heat.
"I'm pretty sure that's the bare minimum of human decency." Steve challenged.
"I told the girls that I got injured at work and that I'll be going in late." You informed. "We can sleep in."
"Good, you deserve more than 12 hours between workdays."
"Nobody in the entire world would be able to wake me up before the sun if this is what I'm falling asleep to." You smiled as your eyelids were forcing you to keep them shut.
"I'm happy to have you here" Steve kissed the top of your head.
"I'm so happy to be here." You reaffirmed. "Goodnight, honey."
"Sweet dreams, Sunflower."

WIP Wednesday
A loud clatter and an ominous change in the room’s orientation brought Danny’s attention back to his surroundings. His body had been harshly throwing itself against its bindings, and the gurney had knocked into a mobile medical cart placed too close to it. Something had fallen on him—a tray, spilling medical tools as it fell—and the way his body had thrown its weight, the bed he was strapped to was now tilting in the opposite direction from where the tray had come from.
Danny had better not be about to die ag—WHOA!
One hand had twisted in its restraint to catch a scalpel as everything fell. After his rough landing, Danny found himself hanging sideways from his restraints. He stared at the scattered tools and fallen tray in front of him while the hand with the scalpel worked to cut through the wrist cuff.
Was… was that intentional? Was this body really just working off instincts? What the hell were these instincts?!
Of course it chose to be hypercompetent now instead of earlier, in the middle of traffic, in the scenario that would have prevented any of this. Well… at least his body was taking care of the restraints; Danny just had to figure out things on his end.
After scanning his system for options, he saw that he’d missed system messages. One was from a sender he’d never seen before. These names were all overlapping, though. Nothing about this afterlife game could be convenient. “System Support,” huh? Right.
So, there was a “Transmigrator Support System”, which he accessed with his screen. That seemed automated by comparison to the email-looking message he’d gotten from Peerless Cucumber. This “System Support” was probably… like customer service? Support for users having issues with the system itself. That was promising.
Danny read the message. His account was no longer under review, so he could actually buy things from the system store now! He really needed to find something that could remove the debuff.
【System Message】 Your preferences have context-sensitive advertisements set to “off”. You can change this setting in the options menu.
And now the system was giving him attitude. Great. Well, it was also hinting that it had a solution, which would be actually great. Since his body was doggedly sawing through his restraints, he should probably find something sooner rather than later.
Actually… why had no one come to check on him? That had made an incredible amount of noise. Why was everything so quiet? Someone had strapped him down and just… left him here? With a bunch of tools?
Danny was pretty sure you didn’t need restraints on people you thought were dead. If most dead people were in his place, the restraints would do nothing because their corpse wouldn’t try to escape. In Danny’s case, the restraints would have done nothing because he was dead. Well. If this irritating system weren’t so fixated on nerfing him, anyway.
Danny’s body thumped to the floor as his mind browsed through pages of items in the system store. His body finished freeing itself and stood. It shivered in his hospital scrubs, and his eyes fixed on the sheet covering the table on the other side of the room. He found himself ambling toward it, and refocused his attention on the world around him.
‘No,’ he thought at his body. ‘Bad! Do NOT take the sheet off a corpse! I don’t care how cold we are!’
The good news was that Danny did not have to wear a sheet plucked off a corpse in the morgue.
The bad news was that it was because whatever was under the sheet started moving before he could get all the way across the room.
But hey, there was more good news! Danny couldn’t control his body, so he didn’t let loose with a high-pitched squeal of terror when presented with this horror movie development! You really had to appreciate the little things when the big things were all terrible.
For instance: his human body was always cold from the way his unreleased ice powers cooled his core temperature, and it wasn’t helped by the cool air of the morgue. That was a terrible, big part of his reality. The small bright spot? Apparently, the chill that ran down his spine at the unexpected movement was even worse than the overall cold, because instead of continuing toward the sheet to warm him up, his body instantly changed course to sprint for the exit.
He couldn’t see whatever was going on behind him, but from the scrabbling noises and soft thumps, he didn’t think that whoever that was had been restrained. Because of course they hadn’t. Why would you put restraints on a corpse?
Danny wished he could punch just like, one thing. For, uh… survival purposes.

View House - Part 1, Exterior
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whew. I'm finally ready to share ‘View House’, my latest build on Windeburg's Crumbling Isle. Putting this together was definitely a process. I tried to build two completely different homes on this lot before settling on this one. It is inspired by 'lake two' by McClellan Architects, located in Seattle, Washington. Interestingly, the real life location of this house is not too far from the real life location of my previous build, which is in Tofino, Canada. This makes sense since I always imagined Windenburg as Canada or the Pacific Northwest.
Perhaps the most fun part of building on this lot was its elevation. The original build here was only slightly raised, but I wanted to make it much higher to optimize the view. Hence the name View House. This is my first time successfully building an elevated house using terrain tools and I really enjoyed the process of figuring out how to make it seamlessly fit in the environment using landscaping and debug rocks. Stay tuned for part 2 of this post which will explore the interior. And yes, I will be completing my rebuild of the island.
You can find this lot on the gallery by searching my EA id 'comfysims4' or by searching 'View House'. Please remember to search including custom content. I am not currently making cc lists or tray files, but check out my frequently used creators post and hmu me for WCIFS.

kinktober day 8: Steve/Eddie
& piercings
read on ao3
rated: M for suggestive language? To be safe. cw: probably unsafe piercing methods, dom!Eddie continues piercing while Steve is going into subspace
Robin directed him to a small shady building downtown. When they got out and looked around, he asked, “This is where you want to shop?”
“It’s a surprise, c’mon.”
“Rob, we both hate surprises. You remember what happened for your- oh my god-“
“Pick your jaw up off the floor before he notices, dingus.” She hissed in his ear.
Steve physically pushed his mouth closed and held his hand to it while he continued to stare at the man currently bent over the counter in front of them. He was tall, with long dark hair that was half pulled up in a bun, tattoos covering his shoulders, arms, and hands. The band tshirt was missing its sleeves and was artistically ripped apart but showed off a mesh shirt under it.
Steve had never considered any of this to be his type. But that had clearly not made a difference to his dick.
The man stood and shook hands with the person he was talking to at the counter, and Steve was graced with full lips and brown eyes under an expressive brow.
The customer at the counter left and the gorgeous eyes of the beautiful man were directed at them. Steve held back a groan and left his hand on his mouth. Robin stepped forward with a big smile.
“Hi, you must be Eddie, I’m Robin and this is your one o’clock.” She turned to hold a hand out to Steve.
His jaw dropped again. “What the fuck? No I am not-“
“Remember that bet about Joyce’s Christmas present? Well it’s time to pay up, buster. And since I already booked it and we’re already here, and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to waste Eddie’s time-“ she sent a pointed at him but his eyes had returned to the man behind the counter. Who was watching their interaction with an unreadable look on his face.
“I’m not touching anyone without their consent, sweetheart, so don’t look at me like that.” Steve could’ve melted into a puddle. His voice was deep and dark, flowing over him like chocolate. The tiny sound he made apparently seemed like concern to Eddie who continued, “It’s fine if you don’t want to do this today. Or ever.”
Steve shook his head to try to clear some fog from it. This had probably been Robin’s plan all along. Show up here and let him get all frazzled by a hot guy and he’d allow this to happen. Well that’s-
“Wait, I never made a bet about getting a tattoo, I’d remember that. How drunk did you get me for this?”
Eddie covered a laugh with a small cough and Robin smirked, too. “It wasn’t for a tattoo, Steve. The bet was piercing your nipples.”
“Oh my god,” he breathed. The image of Eddie hovering over him to put a needle through his nipples was not helping his hard on. He was sure his cheeks and ears were bright red. He wished he wouldn’t have lost this damn bet.
“Wow, that’s a serious bet,” Eddie chuckled.
“She’s hardcore about her bets. I had to wear matching sexy cop outfits with her last Halloween-“ he stopped when Eddie’s eyebrows went up and he pointedly looked him up and down. Checking him out. Oh no.
“That’d be a sight to see,” he agreed. “So where do we stand on getting pierced, sugar?”
The pet names were getting to him, making him want to do whatever he told him. He blinked at Robin who smirked at him.
Eddie brought them around the counter into an even smaller room and had Steve sit up on a padded table after he adjusted it. Robin sat on a stool in the corner.
Steve watched as Eddie pulled out sealed bags of tools and unwrapped them to lay on tray next to him. He gulped. Robin looked just as unsure now.
He instead focused in on Eddie’s hands and the tattoos that covered his arms. He traced the shapes and patterns with his eyes and wanted to follow them with his fingers. Or his tongue.
“Steve?” Robin’s voice cut through his clouded brain.
“Yeah?” He looked up and they were both looking at him. Eddie had a knowing smirk on his face.
“Eddie asked if you were ready,” she was holding back a smile, too.
“Oh, yeah, I guess so.” He looked up at Eddie who was standing almost between his knees in the tiny room. Now that he was closer he could see he had several piercings. There was a small hoop through his nose, one through the opposite eyebrow and a handful in each ear. There was a bar through the top of the cartilage in one ear, too.
“Can you take your shirt off, please?” Eddie’s voice and the question pulled a small gasp from him and he immediately ducked his head to pull the bottom hem of his shirt up and off. He twisted it in his hands and refused to meet either sets of eyes until Eddie put his hand down on his.
“Steve,” hearing his name from his lips made him meet his eyes and he almost did melt to the floor this time. Under the direct eye contact, he couldn't shy away from the beautiful man. He watched his lips move but wasn’t processing anything he was saying. “Okay?”
Steve nodded along with Eddie. He’d agree to whatever he asked.
When Eddie rubbed something cold over his nipple he clicked back into reality.
“Sorry, it’ll dry in a sec. You’re gunna have to hold more still when it’s a needle, honey.”
He nodded again, dazed. He’d just hold still. Yeah.
“Here we go,” Eddie said quietly. “Take a breath in-“ Steve did.
“Oh shit,” he breathed. The pain wasn’t terrible, but it added to all the sensations already and his dick was pressing against this zipper.
“Okay? You’re kind of pale.” Eddie was still touching his nipple, sending little shocks to his dick. He looked down to see he was tightening the ball on the barbell. The barbell through his nipple.
“Oh shit,” he repeated. He looked over at Robin with wide eyes. She looked like she might be freaking out more than he was, though. Her eyes were wide and she was clenching her fingers around the strap of her bag.
“Are you okay? Hey, you got this. What can I do? Huh? Do you want to be done?” Steve shook his head.
“Hey bird, why don’t you run over to the bar next door and grab him a coke. It helps.”
Robin nodded and jumped up.
“I’m not going to pass out or anything,” he managed, seeming loud in the quiet room.
“I know. You’re doing such a good job for me. Just needed to give your friend something to do. She gets kind of wound up, huh?”
Steve laughed. “You have no idea.”
“One more? Or you just want to rock the one?”
He shook his head. “Want it. I’m just, uh,” he looked up into his dark eyes. He didn’t know an appropriate term for it.
“You’re hard and wanting and making this real difficult for me.” Eddie supplied.
“Yeah-“ he breathed. “Uh- I mean, fuck. Is it that obvious?”
Eddie chuckled darkly. “Yeah, sweetheart. But it’s cute.” He swiped the cold pad across his other nipple quickly. “Ready?”
Steve nodded, ducking his head down but then that made him look at the needle. He closed his eyes.
“Breathe in-“ he said softly, and Steve did. This time he did let out a moan as the needle went through him. He twisted after Eddie, following him this time as he turned. “Hold still a sec.”
“Why?”
“Because, brat, you only have one ball attached and if that hits the floor I’m going to have to push another one through your new hole.” Steve gasped as he turned his intense eyes onto him, then again as his nimble fingers tightened the ball on his piercing. “But you’d probably like that, huh?” Steve just stared at him.
“Listen, I know you didn't listen to a word of my speech earlier so you’re going to need to read this paper when you get home. Okay? You don’t want those infected. And you can’t play with them for a while. The paper says three months.”
Steve eyebrows shot up.
“I know, baby. But at least wait until they’re mostly healed, alright? Can you stand? Wanna come see?”
Steve nodded, but took the hand Eddie offered him as he hopped down off the table. It was a little clammy from having the gloves on, but so warm and he wanted to trace the callouses on them.
Eddie lead him to a mirrored wall and he gasped. He’d stayed close, and seeing them standing together in the mirror made his knees jelly. Eddie stepped closer to him and ghosted a hand behind his lower back, ready to catch him if he fell.
“Okay, big boy, let’s get you into a chair. You good?” Eddie took his hand again and sat him in a chair in the front room. “I think your bird might have gotten lost. But I’m not letting you wander off yet. Let me grab your shirt.”
Eddie came back with his shirt and he tugged it on. When he’d gotten it over his head he jumped. Eddie had crouched down in front of his chair.
“Did you drive here?”
Steve nodded.
“Hmm. Not the best plan. What do you need right now, sweetheart? Need me to leave you alone so you come down? I don’t want you to drop. But I feel like I’m part of the problem,” he chuckled.
“Oh. Um.” He wasn’t sure. Thankfully Eddie didn’t seem offended or grossed out by him getting worked up over this. “I’m sorry-“
“No, Stevie. You didn’t do anything wrong. I’m trying not to be inappropriate. You’re so sweet. It’s okay. You just sit here with me and we’re going to calm down and wait for your friend. Sound good?”
Steve nodded. Eddie raised his eyebrows. “Y-yeah, yes Eddie.”
He groaned and let his head hang forward for a moment. He raised his head and met his eyes. “Such a good boy. I know. Nothings going to happen today, alright? I promise. But maybe I’ll give you my number, yeah? I’ll buy you a coffee and we can talk about what we want.”
“Oh. Okay. Yeah. I’d like that.” They shared a small smile.
“That bartender is the most talkative girl I’ve ever met! Oh. You’re done? What did I miss?” Robin stared at them, Eddie still crouched in front of him, Steve leaning down towards him.
“Not much,” Steve grinned at her, taking the cup of soda.
“Wanna bet?”

meet cute || ray stantz/gn! reader
Tumblr media
pairing: ray stantz / gn reader
word count: 1447 ish
summary: your typical awkward first meeting with the world’s softest ghostbuster.
warnings: n/a :)
a/n: the plan is to make this short on purpose as a warm up to longer fics after a long absence. we’ll see how that goes rip. also proofreading??? in this economy???
--------
You always knew when Dr. Stantz was working on the Ecto: you could hear his stereo blasting from blocks away, carrying the dulcet tones of muffled rock and roll through the chilly New York air. Since you’d been hired, you and Janine had decided to split the secretarial responsibilities on the days you were both scheduled: today, she was in charge of the technical things, and you were running errands: picking up the flight suits from the dry cleaners here, stopping for parts there, and eventually winding up at the only coffee house in all of New York that everyone could agree on before heading back to the firehouse. You looked a bit of a mess, but that was just par for the course at this point. You don’t work for people called “Ghostbusters” without expecting it to be a weird job – which it absolutely is.
Still, it isn’t the worst job you’ve had. In fact, it might be one of the better ones, despite the unconventional work conditions. Your bosses are, for all intents and purposes, relatively decent people:
Dr. Spengler doesn’t say much to you aside from giving you tasks, but he stood up for you without question when that one guy got mad at you for the state the boys left his house in.
Dr. Venkman drips with sarcasm, even when all he’s doing is asking if there were any calls when he was gone, but he buys you lunch when things are too busy for you to stop and eat. He got you a turkey sandwich when you’d asked for chicken, but it was a nice gesture, and the sandwich wasn’t bad.
Winston stopped and took over the phones the few times you’ve been overwhelmed, sending you to a back area of the firehouse to take a breather before jumping back into it. Of the boys, he seemed most in tune with you and Janine, helping with the customer service side of things when he had a chance.
Dr. Stantz spent a lot of time in the lab or working on Ecto-1. You hadn’t really gotten to know him yet, but he always gave you a big smile when he saw you, and the genuineness of it made your heart skip a beat and a blush to bloom across your cheeks. You weren’t even sure if he knew your name.
The music gets louder as you get closer to the building, balancing the tray of coffee precariously on top of the pile of books Dr. Spengler ordered from the library (considering his already expansive library and Dr. Stantz’s bookstore, you didn’t think there were books left for him to borrow, but the sizable stack in your arms deemed otherwise.) There was no way you were going to get the door open by yourself, so you knock. Of course, there’s no answer, just the sound of the stereo, clanging of tools, and chipper sound of Dr. Stantz singing along to the music. Shit.
“Dr. Stantz?” you call, to no avail, “Dr. Stantz? Can you get the door, please?”
Again, nothing. He’s in his own world, and it would be easier to wrangle your own ghost than to try to get his attention. Sighing, you try to grab the inner door handle from under the stack of books, the weight of them starting to sink in. You can’t get a good grip on it, so it just jiggles pathetically.
“Dr. Stantz!” you call again, louder. Infuriatingly, nothing. Still. The books are slipping from the top of the stack, the coffee going with them.
“RAY!” you yell, trying to open the door again, leaning on it to maybe stabilize the tower of books as your hand once again fumbles for the handle. Over the sound of the music, you can't hear him approach the door, and the doorknob jiggling from the other side doesn’t register until the door opens and you’re falling forward, directly onto the unsuspecting Dr. Stantz. The coffee and books go flying and the dry cleaning slips from your hand. You fully expect to hit the floor next, but instead find yourself in the strong grip of Ray’s arms.
Well. That’s embarrassing.
As he sets you on your feet, the apologies begin, piled on top of one another like the books at your feet.
“I am so sor–”
He cuts you off.
“No, I’m sorry, I should’ve–”
You cut him off.
“No, I should’ve been–”
“Well, my music shouldn’t be that loud –”
“I should have gotten a cab –"
“It’s okay."
“Its fine, I promise.”
You’re both blushy and awkward (and more than a little embarrassed) before the silence just becomes too much for him to bear.
“We haven’t really talked since your interview,” he wipes his hands on a rag and offers it with a boyish smile, “I’m Ray.”
Offering your own smile, you give your name and shake his hand – its large, calloused, and nearly completely envelopes yours. He’s already introduced himself when you were first hired, but maybe he doesn’t remember. Smart people tend to forget small things.
For a moment, you two awkwardly stand there before you both suddenly come to your senses and bend down to grab the fallen books.
“These for Egon?” he asks, reading the title of a particularly heavy textbook.
“Yeah,” you begin stacking them, “did any of them get coffee spilled on them?”
“No, don’t think so,” he inspects the next few books carefully before putting them on your stack, and you breathe a sigh of relief. The coffee can be replaced and the clothes rewashed, but the books would have cost more than your rent to replace.
You both reach for the last book, hands grazing each other, and you both freeze for a moment. You both chuckle awkwardly as he picks it up from a different angle and hands it to you.
“No harm done!” he proclaims.
“Yeah, shame about the coffee, though,” you mutter, shuffling the stack of books into your arms.
“How ‘bout I take those?” he offers. You want to object, but he has a sweet, expectant look in his eyes, and you can’t say no.
“Just don’t dock my pay or anything,” you try to joke as he scoops up the stack with ease.
“Oh, I don’t do payroll. That’s all Pete.”
“I know, I was joking.”
“Oh.”
There’s another awkward silence as you both head upstairs to the lab, only broken by you helping Ray navigate around the stack of books to Egon’s desk, where he sets them down with a THUD!
“Thank you, Dr. Stantz,” you offer a polite, professional smile, “Truth be told, I probably would’ve killed myself trying to get up those steps.”
“Its no problem. I needed to take a break, anyway.”
In all the weeks you’d been here, you’ve never seen this man take a break.
“Right,” you say, “well, again, thanks. Anyway, I should probably head back to the coffee house and pick up more coffee. Everyone’s been really nice since I started, but I don’t want to know what Dr. Spengler is like without caffeine.”
Ray chuckles a little at that, “Yeah, you really don’t.”
You exchange smiles and he walks you back down the ground floor, making light conversation as you reach the door. In the short distance between the lab and the front door, you’d already learned all about what he’s doing with the Ecto today (something about a killswitch) and how he and Winston did all the work on her and how he thinks there’s actually a ghost living in the glove compartment. You mostly listened, observing how his eyes light up when talking about ghosts and machinery.
When you reach the door, he’s still talking, only stopping when his foot nudges one of the unfortunate paper coffee cups from the previous run. He clears his throat, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
“I’ll keep the music quiet this time. Just in case.”
“Thank you, Dr. Stantz.”
“You can call me Ray, if you’d like.”
“Okay, then. Thank you, Ray.”
For a moment, its quiet, but not as awkward this time. Just holding the space.
Funny. You just noticed his eyes are two different colors: one brown, one green.
“Guess I’ll be back soon.”
“Guess so.”
And with that, as much as you want to skip getting the coffee and just stick around him and listen to more about the science of parapsychology, you have a job to do, so you head back onto the street and hail a cab.
Definitely isn’t the worst job you’ve ever had. Actually, you muse as you turn and catch him watching you get into the cab before closing the door, it might end up being one of the best.

He Always Held My Hand (984 words) by Breakingofdawn Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: The Boys in the Boat (2023) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Characters: Bobby Moch, Gaston Moch Additional Tags: Family, Father-Son Relationship, Bobby Moch growing up, fluff-ish, but also a smidge angsty Summary:
He began to see how often others, even the kind ones, will underestimate you.
In Montesano, the rain was expected. The thunder was not. Once a year or so these gales came, but it was the first that his young memory had a grip strong enough to keep. The storm was a monster, rushing in to deliver on the promise of his most vibrant, violent imaginings. Tremors shook his bones; he knew the world would crack apart.
For the young, time flattens and extends, spreading sticky and slow. This storm was surely eternal.
Just when he thought the walls of the room would bear down on him, a line of light slipped across his bed. Quiet steps brought a hovering shadow, familiar and full. Then, a gentle hand, fingertips and knuckles lost in the cave of a larger grip. Bobby curled his hand inside the clenching comfort of his father's.
***
Brow and cheeks flushed, the pain was storied in gripping fingers, a restless head, a rigid jaw. It peaked in Bobby's eyes, so tired of searching for help. They had started to surrender, lashes fluttering, eyes rolling back.
In the day to day, his father did not pull him close, not when they said goodnight or goodbye, not when tears threatened. But this night, his burning body was embedded inside strong arms, pressed to the chest, and carried across thresholds in search of help. Then finally, finally, a promise arrived. Help was coming. They waited together.
Mother's fingers, cool and gentle, traced relief onto forehead heat. And father, with his hand over hand. The touch did nothing to relieve the pain, but instead it repeated, with the rhythm of a pulse - I am here, I am here, I am here.
He was there. But his hands could not stay the cutting, the mistakes, the irreparable damage. He could only gather the broken body back up to himself and carry him home.
***
Just two years recovered, or perhaps remade is a better word. His eyes finally cleared the counter, his hands easily reached the tools - the lathe, the scale, the calipers in their shapely forms, leggy and one-armed. The jewelry shop was his toy store.
Sometimes he brought the pieces his father called for, knowing their names as well as his own, still learning the sizing for one or the other. He was almost grown now you know, too old to sit on the floor with the eye loupes, holding them up to magnify the wood grain, his fingernails, the stitches on his sleeve.
It was when the customers slipped through the door that his whole self would come alive. He cornered them with chatter and questions, curious and full of recall from their previous visits. But wide-eyed and slight, he was laughed at, offered a tootsie roll, or given a pat on the head. He began to see how often others, even the kind ones, will underestimate you.
One afternoon, they have together arranged all the repaired pieces of a watch on the tray, ready to reassemble. Some day, he told his father, he will work by his side.
"Your hands and head, they could do the work. There is already much you know. But Bobby, your mind is too fast; it would get bored."
The father's hand held the youthful, slender one as it twitched with stilted patience. He adjusted his position, strengthened his hold on the handle. Then they pivoted together, heavy fingers guiding fledgling ones.
"You'll find your work somewhere else, I think. You will use your mind to cut the world apart, Bobby. And you will fit it back together the way it should be."
The man's heart hummed on the inside, You've had to see how the world will take things to pieces. You can help make it right.
***
Bobby faces the breeze, lets the salty air dry his hair from the afternoon games and swim. Every day feels like a party when the victories have piled behind you and the Olympics are ahead.
The evening is closing in and he's found a quiet place, a tree to lean on, as he opens mail from home. The words feel as light as ink and paper always does. He doesn't perceive the weight of them when he opens the letter, even with the additional envelope. It's enclosed separately, smaller and stamped with a private note. Read alone is the message's urging.
Unfolding a paper unfolds a story, and it's one that can't be unread. Eyes scanning lines, hands unready to catch the pieces of what he's being given. The truth doesn't care that it falls into unprepared palms, it's been there all along. Bobby squeezes his eyes shut.
This identity, it's too tight, uncomfortable like new unworn shoes. But that can be adjusted, he can break it in with a walk, it will settle with some time. But his father - his father...? He kept it tucked away, like a burden, like a secret. Did he ever unfasten it? From time to time, did he leave it behind in the cedar chest at home? Or was that what made his shoulders curve bent over life, his back to the world, protecting him with his safe hands always covering his own?
***
Before returning to a new job and a new room as a new graduate, Bobby will walk the familiar path to the front door that he no longer thinks of as his. Soft and cool hands will press to his face with a kiss, a motherly smile more welcoming than any party.
He will set down his suitcase, weighted with souvenirs and gold. He will reach to shake his father's hand, and two arms will return to embrace him instead. Bobby will fold his arms around him in surprise, and he will place his hands against his back. It is straight and smooth.
Then he will take his father's palms, press the round shining disk inside them, and wrap his own fingers underneath.

Windenburg Train Station [Restaurant + Cafe ] ♥ The Sims 4: Build // CC
➽ Speed Build Video
➽ Rheya's Notes:
Hi guys, Today I present to you The Windenburg Train Station located in Windslar. This train station is known for it's Classical Architecture and beautiful historic interiors that has been conserved for decades. While the interior was updated with modern furniture's, the overall structure and essence of the building remains the same. Located inside is a 5 star restaurant, "Florentine," and a café, "Stella's Cafe," where sims can dine and lounge while waiting. The Windenburg Train Station is a multifunctional lot athat can be set as a restaurant or a Cafe. Some Spaces were left empty as I did not want to overly clutter the space with too many custom content. Feel free to decorate it! Considering that this is a multifunctional lot, I recommend downloading LittleMsSam's Lock Door mod to lock doors in community lots. This will give you more control of the space. If you want your sims to specifically be seated inside the restaurant, I suggest locking the doors to the cafe and other parts of the building.

Functionality
These mods are not technically in the build but are needed to have mods (syboulette's crossfit and aira's rice cooker specifically) functional.
ZulfAndHakrabr: Let's Get Fits Modpack Ricky: Useable RiceCooker
Vehicles
Technically, the two vehicles used for this build use the the Breeze Motors 2018 Mercedes E-Class Wagon and the 2020 Maserati Quattroporte as their base. I won't link to the download page as its a perma-paywaller and I fundamentally disagree with how Breeze Motors is handling their patreon personally. I will leave it to you to decide if you want their CC and how you acquire it if you choose to do so.
For my personal game, I have edited and stripped down my copies of these two cars and modified them so that they work with Simnation Travel. I have a pinned patreon post that is not paywall locked here explaining that more in depth and include the required files HERE.
If you go that route, and would like to download the cars, you can find them here:
Maserati Quattroporte
Mercedes E-Class
I should note that in addition to lacking the door open /close options of the original as those were stripped down, the textures were redone with simlish for a more maxis match look in game.
Mods for this Build
These are not technically required for the build to function but this build was built using overrides for both Sim Realist's SNB Bills mod as well as Simnation Travel vehicles. You shouldn't get any weird errors if you load the build in without those mods but if there's an exception caught by MCC related to that, it's probably just reconciling that the override the lot was built with is not in place in your game. It should only be a one time alert the first time the game loads in if it happens and should not cause any issue other than MCC making a noise at you about it noticing weirdness.
(The SNB provides the High Speed Internet trait to the lot and I think it will just set that trait to empty if its loaded without but I haven't personally confirmed it, hence the note here. ) Additional Note
I'm pushing this to live today just to make sure it hits my tumblr the same time as I pushed the build to my gallery but I will be going back to add links into the list. There are just a LOT to track down and it might take me a day or two to finish that part.
