5 Essential Factors to Consider When Buying Curtains or Blinds
Have You Ever Thought of the Role Which Curtains and Blinds Are Capable of Assuming in Your Room? Curtains and blinds are more than just items with which to close your windows— they can fully change the design and feel of how the room looks. Imagine sticking a heavy curtain in a very modern room: would it go? No. Or imagine a short curtain for a big door: strange, right? Now imagine applying the bright-coloured curtain with full patterns to an otherwise simple room that has light-coloured walls and furniture. That will be totally out of context.
Choosing the correct curtains or blinds is not only an aesthetic choice. It should complement your room and also be of some kind of service to you. Below are five must-remember things when buying curtains or blinds, to help you find the perfect ones for the place.
1. Purpose
This is one question you must ask yourself before choosing what kind of curtains or blinds you want. Do you want to block sunlight off from a room, or maybe you just need some privacy or a great decoration in the space? For instance, in the bedroom, one can use black-out curtains to nearly blackout the room while in the living room, sheer curtains help brighten up the space from direct sun rays. To find the right option, first of all, one has to identify his/her specific purpose and find the best curtain dealers. The best blinds and curtains suppliers in Qatar, in fact, really offer wide selections to meet your needs. They provide a variety of selection options when considering your preferences, budget, and purpose.
2. Material
The type of material you are using will have a significant influence on the durability, appearance, and maintenance of your curtains or blinds. Lightweight materials such as cotton or linen are used for a casual, airy look while heavy materials such as velvet or polyester are utilized to create an upscale feel. Materials such as wood, aluminium, or fabric blinds can fit in different styles. Consider always the climate and level of maintenance needed when you select the material.
3. Style
The style of your curtains and blinds should complement the overall appearance of your room. Use colours, patterns, or textures that complement your furniture, wall colours, and decor theme. Neutral shades create a soothing, classic look, while bold colours or prints add a pop of personality. For modern houses, minimalist designs are best; traditional spaces do better with intricate patterns or softer shades.
4. Measurements
Getting the right size is important to give a classy look. You should measure your windows carefully to ensure that your curtains or blinds fit perfectly. You can choose to have them cover the window fully or have them extend down to the floor for a dramatic effect. Proper measurements not only improve the looks but also make sure that the functionality is correct, such as effective light blocking or insulation.
5. Maintenance and Budget
Think about how much time you would spend cleaning your curtains or blinds, as well as money spent. Some materials need to be washed or dry cleaned frequently, while others are dusted periodically. Acquire a budget that will result in quality and affordability, so you get a product that will last long and align with your requirements.
Sum Up
Conclusion
Not all curtains and blinds will complement the room. Even the fabric or material and type of pattern as well as how long or short they will fit in a certain room might cause a major disturbance. That's why it may be true, that even though the material and design are preferred choices, budget still dictates most times. So the importance is planning everything that comes inside beforehand. Considering the purpose, material, style, measurements, and cost involved beforehand will ensure that the curtains or blinds you choose not only look great but fulfil their purpose perfectly.
It is great to consult the Best interior designers and subcontractors in Qatar just to make sure that the one chosen suits the space, style, and budget. So take your time, evaluate your needs, and make an informed choice for the perfect finishing touch for your space.

How to hire a curtain cleaning company in Dubai?
Keeping your curtains clean is essential for maintaining a healthy and fresh living environment. However, cleaning curtains can be a daunting task, especially if they are large or made of delicate fabrics. Hiring a professional curtain cleaning company in Qatar can save you time and ensure that your curtains are cleaned safely and effectively. Here's how to go about finding and hiring the right curtain cleaning service:
Research Local Companies
Start by researching curtain cleaning companies in Qatar. You can use online directories, and search engines, or ask for recommendations from friends, family, or neighbours who have used such services before. Make a list of potential companies to consider.
Check Reviews and Ratings
Look for reviews and ratings of the curtain cleaning companies on various platforms, such as Google, Yelp, or social media. Reading reviews from past customers can give you insight into the quality of service, professionalism, and reliability of each company.
Verify Credentials and Experience
Before hiring a curtain cleaning company in Qatar, verify their credentials and experience. Ensure that they are licensed and insured to operate in Qatar. Additionally, inquire about their experience in the industry and any specialized training or certifications they may have.
Request Quotes
Contact the shortlisted curtain cleaning companies and request quotes for their services. Be sure to provide details about the size and type of curtains you need to be cleaned, as well as any specific requirements or preferences you may have. Compare the quotes and services offered by each company to make an informed decision.
Inquire About Cleaning Methods and Products
Ask the curtain cleaning companies about their cleaning methods and the products they use. Ideally, look for companies that use eco-friendly and safe cleaning solutions to minimize environmental impact and ensure the safety of your curtains and home environment.
Discuss Additional Services
Inquire about any additional services offered by the curtain cleaning companies, such as stain removal, odour elimination, or repairs. Determine if these services are included in the quoted price or if they incur additional charges.
Consider Convenience and Flexibility
Choose a curtain cleaning company that offers convenient scheduling options and flexibility to accommodate your needs and preferences. Whether you prefer on-site cleaning or drop-off/pick-up services, ensure that the company can accommodate your schedule.
Read and Sign the Contract
Before hiring a curtain cleaning company, carefully read and understand the terms and conditions outlined in the contract. Pay attention to details such as pricing, payment terms, cancellation policies, and any guarantees or warranties offered.
Schedule the Cleaning Appointment
Once you've selected a curtain cleaning company and finalized the details, schedule the cleaning appointment at a time that works best for you. Confirm the date, time, and any special instructions with the company to ensure a smooth and hassle-free cleaning experience.
Enjoy Clean and Fresh Curtains
Sit back, relax, and let the professionals take care of your curtains. Once the cleaning is complete, inspect the curtains to ensure they meet your expectations. Enjoy the fresh, clean look and feel of your curtains, knowing that they've been expertly cleaned by a professional curtain cleaning company in Qatar.

First Offshore Job!!
I went for my first job on March 6th and stayed offshore until May 8th when I got to go back to land for the casing break (after begging the company man to let me go to drink beer) then I returned to the rig for the last section May17-28th.
Here’s what I documented while offshore:
Day 1:
Arrived to the heliport at 5:30am. It is just like an airport but much smaller and no carry-on liquids limit! Watched a pre-boarding safety video, put on lifejackets and earplugs then loaded the helicopter. This was my first helicopter ride! I was surprised how gently the helicopter took off and landed, much more gentle than any airplane I’ve ridden. The platform we are working on for the next undetermined amount of time is smaller than I thought but from what I’ve gathered from other people this is a normal size except the accommodation is very, very small. I think the maximum number of people on here is around 200. I cannot see any land or buildings in the distance. However, it is quite hazy today. The water is a very pretty blue color and the waves today are bigger than I expected! Everyone has told me I will start hating all the blue soon but I am optimistic because blue is my favorite color. J
I am sharing a room with 3 coworkers. I am the only female on this rig. We share a bathroom with 2 other guys, 6 total. Due to the high capacity, there are no extra rooms to give me a private one but I don’t mind sharing so it’s a non-issue for me. Our room has bunk beds; I’m in one of the top bunks. There are curtains that go around the entire bed so you do have your own private area…kind of! The bed is comfortable except for the pillow, which is hard. There are constant PA announcements so it is not a little difficult to get a good night’s rest. The water depth here is only 12 meters so the waves don’t sway the rig, the drilling does. It feels like a small earthquake so I woke up twice confused because I wasn’t in California, haha! The food is very good! The water in the shower only stays hot for 2 minutes at a time so quick showers only.
So far I have enjoyed my first day offshore. The rig is still in set-up mode so we are looking at a possibility of not having anything to do for the next 3-7 days. I’m loving every second out here watching this operation!
 Day 2:
We still have no internet. There is not much more we can do until we are granted access to the rig internet. After dinner, I got to go up to the rig floor and stand in the dog house (driller’s cabin) to watch them make up the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA). We are starting a new well so the first section will be the conductor pipe; water table protector, largest hole size. The tools used to drill the conductor are huge. I’ve seen big bits before but never a hole opener! **Note to self: find picture of 36” hole opener to post** We should begin drilling tomorrow if all goes according to plan!
 Day 3:
Still no internet—the struggle is real. We are able to call the base to talk to the Drilling Engineer and our Field Service Manager (FSM). Again, not much to do today. I learned a lot about running electrical cables and the sequence of the wires when using the crimping tool to change/add a head. We were supposed to start drilling today but it looks like we won’t start until early tomorrow morning. I am still enjoying myself. The SLB team that is with me is one other MWD Engineer and two Direction Drillers (DD). The DD’s are the age of my dad and the other MWD is 9 years older than me. All of them are very smart and funny.  Hopefully, tomorrow we get internet so I can do some studying on the tools we are going to be running.
 Day 5:
The mudloggers wouldn’t let us share their internet cable that runs from their unit, which is right next to ours, to the company man’s office in the accommodation and to the geologist’s office next to the accommodation. So, we had to run our own cable which required opening ceilings, drilling holes through walls and lots of zipties. It was a long process but, luckily, we have extra down time because there were some issues spudding the well. SLB won’t be running any of their MWD and directional tools until the 3rd section which was supposed to begin on the 10th of March but will likely happen around the 12th or 13th.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned how awesome the laundry service on offshore rigs are. You just put your dirty clothes outside your room and 3 hours later they’re back nice and clean. I think I would prefer staying offshore 24/7 if we got internet access. I’m still loving the ocean view!
 Day 6:
I slept so good last night! Best sleep since being here. At breakfast, I convinced the kitchen staff to let me have some of the company man’s strawberries…early win for the day! They are running conductor pipe today so nothing to do for us. Still no internet access, which is real annoying. The mudloggers got their internet access yesterday. l won’t be able to access the internet from the accommodation, but I can in our unit. I didn’t properly prepare for coming offshore. I learned I should have brought less clothes and downloaded a lot more books, I guess not that many lessons lol! I am very appreciative of my co-workers, we laugh a lot and talk a lot.
I’ve been doing a lot of studying during all this downtime. I will be going to school sometime in June and July. By then, I will be very prepared. Most people do this schooling with no field experience and I will have 5 months field experience. Because I don’t have internet access, I only have the first two school’s information downloaded and I have gotten through that material so I’ve begun bugging our DD’s about their job. I got a lot of the DD school information from one so I can start looking through that.
 Day 7:
Still no internet. In the accommodation room, on the 1st floor, there is a small collection of books so I won’t die of boredom after I finish the last 10 pages in the book I’m currently reading. I’ve also been collecting movies and TV shows from various people around the rig. I should have brought my big hard driver—another lesson learned.
This week has gone by fast. It is easy to lose track of the days. I’m excited to get to the section of the well where we start running our tools—it will be another big learning curve I am excited to learn but nervous about remembering everything in such a short time period. I will get to shadow during the 26’’ section and then be on my own for the rest of the well. Still not sure if they will keep me out here until Total Depth (TD).
Day 8:
We finally got internet access!!! We requested for 11 mac addresses to be granted internet access but they only gave us 4. So, to compensate we set up one of the laptops as a hotspot and now have wifi in the unit. But no one knows and no one should find out. It was so exciting to finally get on the internet and let everyone know I am okay. I had emails from people I wasn’t expecting and from people I wanted to contact to talk drilling stuff. The rig crew is installing to BOP so we aren’t neglecting work to play on the internet.
I was able to download two more books even though I already started a new book that I got from the Rec room.  Progress is happening! I think I will be out here from at least another 2-3 weeks.
Day 9:
We are finally drilling. Still not running our tool so I have more time to prepare for my job. The other MWD out here with me is leaving to go back to land and they are sending a new MWD on loan from Algeria. I’ll be switching to night shift tomorrow, hopefully things will be calmer during the night shift and I won’t have to talk to so many people (company man/manager/town). J
Day 13:
Time is flying by! I can’t believe I’ve already been here for almost two full weeks! It feels like 5 days. Night shift is really relaxed, partly because we still haven’t run our tool downhole and partly because most people are sleeping so no one is bugging us for data. I miss the sun because I liked looking at the ocean and watching the waves. Today we had TWO drills. Went to bed at 7am, woke up for the first drill at 10am, went back to sleep for maybe 5 minutes and the second drill started. Thankfully, I was able to go back to sleep. I had worked a double the day/night before so sleep exhaustion helped to get back to sleep quickly!
The night DD is fun. He plays music and dances! He’s become like my second dad—very protective. He says he doesn’t like the other guys here asking about me and talking to me so whenever the driller calls for a survey print out I send Yuri up to deliver it. But if the company calls, I’m the one that’s sent. I’ve been put on a mission to figure out how the guys in the surface room are able to get on facebook when it’s blocked for the rest of us. My coworkers tell me I need to use my “woman power”. I just laugh. Disclaimer, no one has been rude to me, just Uncle Yuri looking out!
I’ve been assigned a mentor just 2 days ago. Turns out to be a Texas A&M alumn! I thought I escaped all the Aggies because I’m working in Qatar and not Texas! He’s been extremely helpful, kind and very intelligent. I’m very appreciative for all of his help and for all that he is teaching me! I need to figure out a way to thank him BIG for all he has done for me!
 Day 19:
We have been on standby for 6 days now because of a bad cement job. I’ve been gathering 3-6 movies from people around the rig every day so my collection is getting pretty good. In the mornings I’ve been going up to the helideck to walk/run (running gets boring pretty quick without music and running in small circles). I especially enjoy watching the sun rise, it’s so beautiful over the water. Yesterday it was a really, pretty pink sunrise! I saw a big, brown sea turtle, first sea creature I’ve seen since coming here!
My normal schedule has become:
16:30-roll out of bed, throw on my coveralls, put on socks and crocs, brush teeth, head downstairs to the galley for dinner
17:30-walk into the unit, get the update for current operations and what happened during the day, joke around, get the latest rig gossip (yes boys gossip a lot!)
18:00-start shift
00:00-go to the galley (if operation permits) for some soup
5:00-6:00-go have breakfast
6:30-go to helideck (weather permitting) and walk/run
7:30-go take a shower
8:00-read until I fall asleep
REPEAT
Day 21:
The new joke in our unit has become “are you speaking English?” any time anyone has to ask “what”. It started because the other MWD from Algeria and the day DD from India have a really hard time understanding my English because of “my accent”. I also have a hard time understanding their English but we’re making it work. I’ve been learning some Hindi, French, Arabic, and Indonesian. Just a few words, mostly naughty words.
 Day 23:
Today and yesterday have been long! We got H2S (hydrogen sulfide gas) at surface so we’ve had to muster for 5 hours total yesterday and so far 3 hours today. H2S is a toxic gas, smells bad at low concentrations but can’t be detected by smell at medium-high concentrations which makes it very dangerous. Our unit is located right above the shakers where H2S is usually located. Because I am working night shift, my sleep has been majorly disturbed. After waking us up throughout the day to stand at our muster stations with SCBAs on, when day shift went to bed they decided against having everyone muster and just have those working night shift to muster. So, us working night shift are getting screwed out of sleep. I’m ready to get this section over with!
  Day 30:
We are experiencing problems with the well. We almost got to go home because it was going to take longer than a few days to remedy the issue but town called with a new plan that requires us to stay. I was looking forward to going back to land but I was also kind of bummed because I wanted to work with a Rotary Steerable System (RSS) that we are running in the next section. Right now it looks like I will be staying, you never know though, decisions are always made last minute!
The night DD working with me found some real coffee, not the instant nescafe crap! We don’t have a proper coffee machine nor do we have filters but in Indonesia they don’t make coffee the way we do in America. You scoop the ground coffee into your cup, add boiling water, stir, let it sit for ~5 minutes for all of the grounds to settle to the bottom and enjoy! It was a little weird at first but it’s totally worth having good coffee.
FINALLY BACK TO LAND!
As soon as I arrived on land, I dropped my bags off at the hotel, changed into normal clothes and met the Oil Installation Manager (OIM), rig superintendent and the mud engineer at a hotel bar to celebrate finishing the section. How good beer tastes after so long! After spend a couple of days in base testing tools and a few days sitting by the pool, I returned to the rig to finish drilling the well.
It was fun returning to people I knew. Drilling only took us about a week, the geologist called early TD because we hit water (not what you want when drilling for oil). One of the tools we ran in this run is brand new, only three in the world and two were on board with me. I was very nervous going into this run because I hadn’t run the older generation of this tool, never ran a LWD tool so I had to do a lot of studying and research to gain knowledge about the tool to be prepared for any issues during drilling. PLUS it was even more important for this run to go well because the tool is in the field test stage. Inshallah, all went really well and only took ONE run to finish! This was SO unlike the previous section where it took 9 runs to finish. It was such a happy feeling when TD was called. After all of the problems experienced throughout this well, I didn’t think we would actually finish it.
My first hitch offshore was great. Challenging yet rewarding. It was an experience I won’t soon forget! Now it’s time to prepare for school in RUSSIA!

Meet Pure Skies, PriestmanGoode’s answer to the future of flight, responding to the recent curve ball Covid-19 threw at cabin designers of today. The London-based design studio created a new design concept to support the future success of the aviation industry – understanding that a clean slate is needed to bring confidence back to the passenger experience. ‘Pure Skies’ includes a complete review of Business and Economy Class cabins and addresses pressing consumer, business and environmental concerns.
These fantastical designs might look alien to most, especially in the economy cabin which now features monocoque seat shells and vertical dividers but that’s because the design agency wanted to reinvent the cabin from the ground up.
Nigel Goode, Co-founding Director at PriestmanGoode said: “This latest work from the studio represents pragmatic innovation. With the benefit of over 30 years’ experience, we know how to harness design to achieve long-term positive change. We’ve looked ahead to imagine future scenarios and taken into account new passenger behaviours driven by the global pandemic to ensure our designs can be implemented within a few years and will meet user and airline requirements for many years ahead.”
The design team for this concept even threw out the rule book of traditional cabin naming architecture. No longer economy and Business Class, meet ‘Rooms’ and ‘Zones’ which certainly allude to a more residential approach, something we’ve seen with the likes of ANA’s and Etihad’s naming structures.
The Rooms are akin to a hybridisation of Emirates, ANA, Qatar, Air France and British Airways to name a few design flourishes that look familiar. But these designs are the end result of looking at three core pillars of personal space, hygiene and the new need for a touch-free journey.
Each seat is a fully enclosed personal space, and we love the fact the seat is partitioned by full height curtains which are a softer touch on today’s clunky door mechanisms. An emerging trend from design agencies is the need to simplify parts and seams to reduce dirt accumulation. So the Room is a totally new seat design with minimal split lines and seam-welded fabrics which are antimicrobial in nature.
To give a more homely feel there is personal lighting and temperature control thanks to the fact these seats virtually plug and play into the aircraft architecture creating mini-fully enclosed cabins. While IFE is improving in functionality, to help with the touch-free concept, the IFE system would be fully synchronised with the passengers’ own devices.
The concept would actually ask for the airline not to include overhead bins in the regular fit out of the premium cabin, as each of these units would feature an inbuilt overhead bin as well as a personal wardrobe built in to the wall of the ‘room’.
It’s an interesting concept, and as Luke Hawes, Director at PriestmanGoode added: “As a team our mantra has been to ‘build back better’. We have also found ways to include flexible features that differentiate the service and enable tailored products and tiered pricing options for airlines. This is about providing flexibility and protecting the industry for the future, with ideas that fly.”
In economy there’s even more innovation, although fixed-shell recline seats have never scored highly with passengers – ourselves included, so we’d have to be won over in that regard. The ‘Zones’ as they will be named will feature partition screens every other row for greater separation and to aid the visual cue of airflow being vertical in aircraft rather than horizontal (although it’s good to point out there’s very little need for these screens from a Covid-19 standpoint).
Eagle-eyed readers might notice the staggered seat configuration to maximise feeling of personal space and allow passengers to sit in the groups they are travelling in – whether alone, as a couple or in groups.
The back of the seat shells are truly monocoque, with no gaps to help eliminate dirt traps and keep the seats cleaner. Also, there is a recline mechanism, but it’s entirely contained within the fabric skin of the seat to avoid split lines and hard-to clean gaps. No more lost phone we guess!
PriestmanGoode are also betting on the removal of IFE screens in favour of passenger owned devices which can be charged and held in place by a magnetic panel. This is a nice idea on paper, but the potential challenges this will bring from safety and security standpoints might see a watered down production version of this.
As mentioned in our last article, design thinking can bring revenue opportunities to airlines too. This concept also presents additional commercial opportunities from IFE hire or mix and match seating design with additional screens and space at a greater price point.
Nigel Goode concludes: “With both passengers and airline employees at the heart of this project, we have not only taken onboard present anxieties but also tried to ensure our solutions are future-proofed against future pandemics, recognising the significant commitment and investment involved.”
I have to admit, I’m thoroughly impressed with the approaches each and every design studio has taken to this pandemic. They’ve adapted quickly, and each has come up with innovative approaches to the issues and challenges Covid-19 has brought with it. It’s certainly an exciting time for design in aviation.

10 tips to prepare your home for rent
As a franchisee of Interhouse  Rental and Rental professionals, I am part of a group of driven entrepreneurs in the specialist branch of rental brokerage. We exchange many experiences and contacts,  among other things. As a group,   we rent out thousands of homes per year and have now been in existence for more than 20 years. This wealth of experience ensures that we know what it takes to optimally rent out a home. By optimally  I mean renting out a  property at a high quality rented for one correct rental price. Oh ok during the lease is nice the ford l and continue to experience the good e  preparation and correct choices. Good preparation,  before offering a house for rent,  is crucial. Every day I'm in conversation with (prospective) often asked me what they should do for their home well make. I find it  in these customized advice wonderful to apply my expertise. For every home there are always  different things and we come up with ideas  and tips  that a landlord  had  never thought of. I have decided to write down the  10 important tips and share them with everyone who is interested in them.
Make sure your home is in good condition . It seems so obvious, but actually every home needs  good  critical attention. Think of doors and windows,  central heating  maintenance, kitchen cupboards, sanding a parquet floor , changing lights,  fixing curtain rails  etc. Starting  with  a good state of maintenance prevents a lot of hassle during a lease .
Make sure your home  is also  cosmetically tiptop  OK  is . Take a critical look at painting, painting and wallpaper work. A nice tenant is looking for a  nice house. On the other hand, a home that is not top-notch also attracts a tenant who  'does  n't care' . Often such a tenant is   also a bit 'lazier' in other areas . The  experience is also that a  tidy home also stays much tidier.
Invest once in a  thorough,  professional cleaning. If you do this once and you can submit an invoice for it, we also require this from a tenant at the end of the lease. We include that as such in the lease. The tenant gets it professionally cleaned and must deliver it in this way. A fair deal and actually no more discussion about whether or not to clean .
Deliver a well-arranged key plan to the tenant of at least 2 complete se ts. Depending on the type of home and the tenant's composition (single, couple or family) you adjust the number of sets. Ensure the proper locks and keys,  preferably ensuring that everything is closed at the same time;  so 1 key for all doors. Perhaps a one-time investment, but with a certificate well organized for years. Forget next sets the tenant not the additional set s  for yourself and the broker/administrator.
Put together a carefully arranged information folder  for the tenant. Instructions for use of all (kitchen) appliances in the home, information from the municipality, the waste calendar, some local information, perhaps some useful tips about the home etc. These are all things that benefit a tenant. This folder simply belongs to the home and can be used by any subsequent  tenant.
Make the outdoor spaces easy to maintain for the tenant . Of course this depends entirely on the type of property, but make sure that a tenant  can easily keep the outdoor space in good condition. If the house has a decent garden with the necessary maintenance, try to make a maintenance plan, with or without a (permanent ) gardener. Maintenance of greenery by a tenant is often an i ssue at the end of the lease. V ear cup this because often the cost of good repair by overdue uncomfortably high .
Inform neighbors and  possibly  VVE about letting the property , this h disrupts also ' lettable ' making house. This avoids questions or disagreement  with these parties and  also  your tenant will feel more welcome. Almost all homeowners' associations  enable  reporting  of rental  and  the  signing of a user certificate  by the tenant  required.
You must do this if the property is rented furnished . Upholstered means that the house is equipped with floors, wall finishes, window upholstery and  lighting. It is important that everything is in good condition. So make  clean curtains,  which  operates all the lights,  the  walls nicely finished and free of holes  , and  the  floors  in good condition  are . Avoid carpet. There are few tenants who appreciate carpet. Hard floors are often desirable for reasons of hygiene and allergy.
You must do this if the property is rented furnished . Furnished means that in addition to the upholstery ,  as described in point 8 , you  also take care of a complete interior. The criterion is that a tenant has everything and in fact only needs to bring suitcases with personal items in order to live  and use the property optimally. In addition to the furniture  , there must also be a complete kitchen,  linen, television (s) and audio equipment, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, iron etc.  If there is outside space, also outside furniture, possibly garden tools etc. Also  think about what  (wall)decoration, plants, etc. All inventory must be sound and  note that  depreciation is subject.
Adjust the formal business with mortgage lender, insurance, municipal, subscriptions etc. A house is only  really  ve rhuurklaar  if you  can turn with confidence a signed a lease. This means that parties to which you have obligations must also agree. If your home has a (residential) mortgage, you cannot  simply  rent the collateral of your loan without the permission of the mortgage lender. It  should also be noted with  the insurer that the insured object is rented out;  usually adjusted conditions apply. If you are going to live elsewhere, you must register  there to write and you will be automatically deregistered at the address that you rent. Furthermore, timely  cancel your  current subscriptions such as internet, cable television, window cleaning , container cleaning ,  etc. The meter readings  and instructions regarding this will be  provided by the broker upon transfer.
By years of experience I am  convinced that the right rental agent offers crucial added value. Apart from advising on the  ready to make the property there are many more important issues . Things  that make the strategy,  the  approach, the rental and eventually takes the entire course of the lease as set out. That requires knowledge and experience. Determining the right target group for the home is the basis for this the rest of the route. However, the target group again depends on the type of property, the location, but certainly also the situation of the landlord. Subsequently, that specific target group must be reached and candidates must be thoroughly screened again before you can proceed to conclude a legally correct custom-made lease agreement. After all, you want the agreements made to be legally tight. Once a lease agreement comes into effect, it is important  to implement adequate and accurate management;  this way you keep the tenant satisfied and your property in good condition.

I hope  my tips are  valuable to you . Of course I, or  one  of my colleagues from other locations, is available to answer questions in a personal (advice) interview . I am already looking forward  to visiting your  rental property, meeting  you in person and demonstrating the added value of  our services to you; all this without obligation.

Jobs Report Disappoints, Once Again!
Good day… And a Marvelous Monday to you! You know, I liked last week, when I was still sleeping at this time on Monday morning, due to the holiday! What an awful display of baseball by my beloved Cardinals in the worst possible place, Chicago, this past weekend… UGH! I guess I’ll just have to admit it, this is a bad baseball team, and it’s going to be a long season… UGH! I went to the office yesterday, and cleaned out my office… I’m going to work from home from here on out, so there was no reason to take up space! Now the back of my car is filled with “stuff” that I have to get out of there! Steely Dan greets me this morning with their great song from the Album of the same name: Aja… (my fave Steely Dan album too!)
Well, Friday’s price action in the currencies and metals were something to see.. The Jobs report in the U.S. was disappointing, and the long dollar trades were getting unwound faster than a speeding bullet, no wait, that’s Superman’s speed… Hmmm, faster than you can say Englebert Humperdink! (remember him?) So, the currencies and metals were off to higher ground and remained there through the overnight sessions of Asia and Europe last night. The Petrol Currencies got an extra boost when the price of Oil jumped on news that some of the Arabic countries were shutting off relations with Qatar, saying that Qatar had harbored terrorists…
So, if all this movement in the currencies and metals came about from the Jobs Jamboree on Friday, I guess this is where I have to deal with the BLS’s report… You know I don’t like having to do this, because I’m going to point out the hedonic adjustments, and the off-base assumptions they make… So, here goes…
So, get a #2 pencil and a blank piece of paper and write this down… The May Jobs Jamboree only netted 138,000 jobs, and that puts the year-to-date average at 162,000 per month, and when you just count the last three months, where the drops have really occurred, the average month is only 121,000… So, knowing this, now try to figure out how the Unemployment Rate dropped to 4.3% and is down ½% in these last three months, when the drops in jobs created have occurred… I for the life of me can’t, and yes, I know all about the people dropping off the jobs radar…
Even with this 3-month drop (proving that it wasn’t just “transitory”) I don’t think it’s enough to stop the Fed from hiking rates this month… I said it before and I’ll say it again, they are hell bent and whiskey bound to hike rates this month, so like I said Friday, let ‘em hike rates… I don’t think that in 3 months or so, they’ll be happy about that decision, but for now, it’s all sunshine, rainbows and lollipops, Everything that’s wonderful when the Fed hikes rates in a weakening economy…
Of the 138,000 jobs created by the U.S. in May… The BLS added 230,000 to the survey totals… 230,000 jobs added to the numbers out of thin air! And this brings me to the main reason I just don’t care what the BLS prints any longer, it can’t be trusted as true data! Why can’t 230,000 jobs be added using the Birth/ Death Model? Well, a few months ago, you may recall me talking about how an independent research firm had issued a report saying that there had been far more business deaths in the past 10 years than “births”… But all this time the BLS was adding jobs using this model every month…
Last week, Dave Gonigam, over at the 5 Minute Forecast (www.agorafinancial.com ) talked about this subject regarding business deaths… The Census Bureau calls it” Exits and Entries”… and had a graph that showed how the “exits” were greater than the “entries” but the data stopped in 2013… So, choose your report, the independent research team, or the Census Bureau, they both come to the same conclusion, and that is that the BLS has no basis whatsoever to add jobs each month, especially to the tune of 230,000!
Oh, and one more thing before I go on… the U.S. National Economic Council Director, Gary Cohn, said Friday that we should not obsess over any one number in the jobs report… Hmmm, I wonder if after he said that, one of his “assistants” whispered to him and said, “ahem, the previous 2 months were bad too”… memo to Mr. Cohn… remember to wear flavored socks… wink, wink..
Gold was able to gain $ 13.10 on Friday… As Ed Steer says, “it was able to gain its usual 1% that it’s normally allowed to have on any given day” wink, wink.. Gold closed on Friday at $ 1,278.50, and is up $ 5 in the early morning trading today. We draw closer to the level I said I thought Gold could reach by the end of summer, which is $ 1,300… That’s a good thing, folks, because the shiny metal is ahead of schedule!
Have you heard the news on Gold? Bloomberg, GATA, you name it has been all over this story like a cheap suit, and I’m going to pile on… Basically, David Liew a trader that used to work at Deutsche Bank pleaded guilty in federal court in Chicago of spoofing of futures contracts for Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium, according to court papers… Spoofing is an illegal trading scenario, where the trader places orders without the intent of executing them in an attempt to manipulate the price. This trader also acknowledged front-running customer’s orders.. If you would like to read more about this click here: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-06-02/trader-pleading-guilty-in-metals-probe-tied-to-deutsche-bank
I have to wonder what this leads to… More traders being brought to court? I f I were the CFTC (the commodities regulator) I would have a parade to traders at every bullion dealer, lined up to testify in court of whether they participated in the manipulation of the prices for the precious metals… Yes, or No… Under oath mind you, and then when they said “No” they were allowed to return to work… If they said “yes”, then they were taken to a different courtroom.. Or, was this just a warning to the Big firms that hold most of the short positions?
So, two BIG stories on this Marvelous Monday Morning… Look at Chuck Rocking the Alliteration! HA! The Big Story of the Jobs disappointment and the Gold trader story… Now that’s enough for one day, but hold on, there’s more! And if you’re one of the first 100 callers, you will also get detailed information on the Data Cupboard! HA!
Friday’s Data Cupboard was dominated by the Jobs Jamboree, but there was more behind the curtain… We also saw the Trade Deficit number, that was the net of the actual trade number and investments… The Trade Deficit was larger than expected at $ 47.6 Billion..
Today’s Data Cupboard is chock-full-o-data, that isn’t all Tier 1 data, but it’s printing anyway… First we get the 1st QTR Productivity revision and 1st QTR labor Costs. (that 1st QTR data is really getting stale isn’t it?) Then we’ll see the color of the ISM Services Index, and finally, Factory Orders for April… (really the only data today I care about!) I really don’t care about Services, because as I’ve said for years, “we’ve become a servicing country/ economy and our service lacks BIG TIME!
The U.K. will finally go to the election booths this week on Thursday I do believe. Which also happens to be an ECB (European Central Bank) meeting day. But before we get to Thursday, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) meets tonight (for us, tomorrow for them)… I don’t expect anything but the same-o, same-o, from the RBA… They won’t sound too upbeat in the statement, after leaving rates unchanged, and they have just enough optimism to keep everyone interested…
I think the A$ is going to go through a rough patch here with the RBA dragging their feet with regards to hiking rates. Traders, as I’ve explained many time before, will grow bored with the no movement from the RBA or the currency, and then look for greener pastures…
Getting back to the U.K. elections… The latest poll this weekend has the Conservatives maintaining their lead, but remember the previous polls in the U.K. and U.S.? I won’t believe anything here until the outcome is posted! And currency traders have that same belief, for they’re not giving the pound any chance to rebound ahead of the vote outcome.
And I’m told that the 10-year Treasury yield fell to 2.11% on Friday.. But has fallen back to 2.17% this morning… That’s pretty unbelievable to me, that the 10-year still sports an ultra-low yield like this, with all the talk by the Fed about growth, inflation and rate hikes… Are the bond boys telling us something?
To recap… The Jobs Jamboree on Friday was disappointing and left the dollar out to hang. Traders began unwinding long dollar positions, but it wasn’t just one month of disappointing numbers, May marked 3 consecutive months of disappointing numbers in jobs… Chuck has all the details and a look under the BLS’s hood today… A Gold trader has pleaded guilty to spoofing and front running, but most importantly spoofing because that can be used to manipulate a price. Chuck asks, what will happen next here? The RBA meets tonight, and there shouldn’t be any fireworks here, and the U.K. finally goes to the election booths this week…
For What It’s Worth… Well, this is a subject that I’ve been talking about for over a decade now… It’s the underfunded pensions… Well, this article talks about underfunded pensions around the world, but focuses on the U.S. which happens to have the largest amount of underfunded pensions… The article can be found here: http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/26/pensions-time-bomb-for-worlds-biggest-economies-could-explode-to-400-trillion-says-wef.html
Or, here’s your snippet: “Future generations are on course to become enveloped in the biggest pension crisis in history, according to the World Economic Forum (WEF), unless policymakers from the world’s leading economies take urgent action.
The Geneva-based organization predicted the challenges of an ageing population could result in the world’s largest economies being forced to tackle a pension time-bomb.
Analysis from WEF showed six countries with the biggest pensions, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Netherlands, Japan and Australia, as well as the two most densely populated countries in the world – China and India – would face a retirement savings gap in excess of $ 400 trillion in 2050, up from around $ 70 trillion in 2015.
According to the WEF’s forward looking estimates, the retirement savings gap from all eight countries is set to inflate by 5 percent every year over the next four decades. This translates to an extra $ 28 billion of deficit every 24 hours.
“We must address it now or accept that its adverse consequences will haunt future generations, putting an impossible strain on our children and grandchildren,” Drexler added.
Chuck again… yes, we must address this now, but we won’t… Because talking about that kind of stuff won’t get anyone reelected ! It’s that simple folks… So, like I say about debt that the U.S. keeps accumulating at an alarming rate, it might not be something that keeps people like you and me indoors, but our kids and grandkids are a different story… I thought about this briefly last night, when little Delaney Grace was sitting on my lap talking to me.. But I quickly got that out of my mind so I could concentrate on what she was telling me! She’s so darn cute!
Currencies today 6/5/17… American Style: A$ .7480, kiwi .7137, C$ .7426, euro 1.1265, sterling 1.29, Swiss $ .9641, … European Style: rand 12.7163, krone 8.4232, SEK 8.6574, forint 272.82, zloty 3.7098, koruna 23.3622, RUB 56.60, yen 110.50, sing 1.3563, HKD 7.7912, INR 64.27, China 8.1150, peso 18.37, BRL 3.2403, Dollar Index 96.77, Oil $ 47.84, 10yr 2.17%, Silver $ 17.55, Platinum $ 964.75, Palladium $ 844.61, Gold $ 1,283.70, and SGE Gold $ 1,267.78 (the SGE Gold price hasn’t been updated since last Friday, Chinese time)
That’s it for today… Frank sure did a great job on the Sunday Pfennig yesterday, as he talked about Diversification. (www.dailypfennig.com) And then last night I listened to an interview with the father of diversification, Harry Markowitz, that Grant Williams had imbedded in his letter: Things That Make You Go Hmmm… You should check out Frank’s piece, it’s really good! The older kids were here yesterday with the grandkids, and I smoked some pork steaks for them… They meat was falling off the bone when I took them off the Big Green Egg! Darling daughter Dawn will be back this morning to teach swim lessons (I’m thinking that I should get a cut of her earnings, right?) It was downright “summerish” yesterday, and I love it! The Amazing Rhythm Aces take us to the finish line today with their song: Third Rate Romance… And with that I hope you have a Marvelous Monday… Be Good To Yourself!
