“Okay, Eyekons are asking for us to change the song.” Sophia read off her phone. She looked over at Lara, whose phone was on aux, streaming her rnb playlist.

“Who do you guys wanna listen to?” The Indian questioned, leaning forward to explore some of the answers they were getting from the fans. There were a couple suggestions she couldn’t make out at how fast the section was moving, but she did her best to read out the names she caught. “Drake? Kanye, The Weeknd… Y/N L/N?”

“Oh my God, please play Y/N.” Dani chimed from behind.

Yoonchae clapped her hands, humming in approval. “Yes, play São Paulo by Y/N and The Weeknd, please!”

“São Paulo is so good, oh my God.” Sophia sighed, her head thrown back against Yoonchae lying on the couch. “Yoonchip and I single handedly streamed that song over a billion times, on God. It’s like our current getting ready song.”

“Yeah, Manon won’t stop playing it in my car.” Dani groaned. “I mean, I’m not really complaining, Y/N’s music is so good, but she will just play that one song over and over and over again.”

The three of them let out individual noises of disbelief, heads turning to glare wide-eyed at the Indian singer, who glanced around at each of them with her hands held up. “What?”

“Are you serious? You haven’t heard it yet?” Sophia asked.

“Okay, you’re such an rnb person, I’m actually surprised you of all people haven’t listened to this song,” the Latina added, “You literally bursted into my room to tell me Kendrick dropped his new album, like that’s actually kinda crazy.”

Yoonchae giggled at their collective confusion.

“Girl, cancel Lara,” Sophia said to the fans, earning a harsh swat to the arm from the latter, “She isn’t streaming São Paulo, please bully her for not keeping up with godly music.”

The intro to São Paulo with Y/N chanting in Spanish began blaring through the room, before The Weeknd joined in with his vocals. It was the perfect balance between sensual and hype, and the three surrounding Lara began swaying their hips and moving their bodies to the fluid beat.

“Oh, that’s a real Latina Mami right there.” Daniela nodded.

“Oh my God, y’know what? You weren’t here when I saw this, but I barged into Dani and Manon’s room like two days ago when I heard them playing this song, and I pulled up this video of Y/N doing an interview to promote São Paulo, right?” Sophia began, and Daniela hummed loudly at the realization of what the leader was mentioning.

“Yeah, wait, we needa show Lara this.” She pulled her phone out, immediately looking for the clip they were talking about.

“Okay, so, basically there’s this clip of her talking about her inspirations for the new album and like who are her muses, and then I almost jumped out my fucking bed when she said São Paulo, this really like sensual, passionate song was inspired by our dance practice video.” Sophia’s voice raised with each word, her excitement evident as Daniela jumped in the back.

The blonde turned her phone speaker on max, as all four of them turned to focus on her screen.

“So, basically there’s this group of really talented girls called Katseye, and I’ve been on like a binging marathon of their content recently,” Y/N giggled, biting her lip as her cheeks grew pink. “And I saw this woman, this like drop-dead gorgeous woman with red hair absolutely devour the routine they were doing and she was in this outfit—I just like sat down in my studio and cranked out the song.”

The interviewer’s eyes widened at the singer’s transparency, “Wow, so she could see this interview and find out she’s the muse for the current Billboard #1 song.”

Multiple clips of the girls enjoying the concert on their individual instagram stories were strung together, videos of them dancing. The last one is a picture Sophia posted of Lara leaning over the railing of their lounge’s balcony, just watching the show with the double eyes emoji above the Indian’s head.

At the end of the concert, Katseye is assisted backstage, where a room was set up for meet and greets happening in a bit. The girls all shared little noises of excitement, teasing Lara when the singer tried adjusting her outfit.

“Oh my God, thanks for coming, you guys!” Y/N squealed, sweat still streaming from her forehead when she jogged up from the hall leading to her room. Strands of her hair stuck to her face, her lush lashes and glistening makeup still holding strong along her features. In her sheer performance outfit, earpiece dangling from her sweat-coated neck. She gave each member a hug, running a hand through her hair. “Sorry, I’m super gross right now, but I couldn’t wait to come meet you. Was the lounge okay? Everything to your liking?”

The girls let out collective sounds of approval, glancing between each other and nodding.

Y/N grinned, her soft laughter mingling with the girls’.

Yoonchae looked a little shy, a bright smile on her face, but a reluctance to speak. Y/N slung an arm over her shoulder carefully, giving the youngest a light squeeze. “I heard you’re a big fan, Yoonchae.” She leant into the Korean, who blushed, a hand beside her mouth secretively, whispering, “Don’t tell the others, but you’re my favourite.”

“Aye, I know you did not just say that.” Manon eyed her.

The girls laughed, before Y/N’s attention fell on a certain redhead she’s been excited to meet. Lara hadn’t said anything individually besides agree with what her members were saying about the performance. Y/N shot her a soft smile.

“Lara, I was really tempted to invite you onstage for a duet, but I was really disappointed when they told me I couldn’t,” Y/N chimed, chuckling, “Did you have a good time?”

The other members shared theatrical glances, even going as to winking to their cameras to insinuate the fans were getting fed the content they’ve been asking for.

“It was crazy, I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a concert that much before,” Lara muttered softly, before accepting the taller’s open invitation to a hug. The two of them gave each other a good squeeze, the camera zooming in on Y/N rubbing Lara’s back before they pulled apart.

“I’m really glad you came,” Y/N confessed, her eyes darting between Lara’s. She was so much more different from her personality in the media, she was so much more calm, voice steady with a professional edge. Y/N giggled, her finger raised to be bitten between her teeth. She read the comments, immediately seeing the sudden influx of fans teasing her for her obvious adoration for the group. “You guys don’t know this, but I actually invited Ari out to watch my show with Katseye in the VIP booth. Y/N inhaled deeply, pursing her lips to fight the smile creeping onto her lips. “Well, I’m on my way back to LA from New York early ‘cuz my invite for fashion week is going through some complicated verification issues, but the thing is, my house was supposed to get remodelled until I was supposed to get back in a week, so I have nowhere to stay right now.”

The Katseye member hummed, “Yeah? That’s unfortunate.”

“Yeah, and I was wondering, since you guys are some of the only people I’m friends with that live here, if I could maybe crash for a couple nights? Just until my house is done getting renovated.” Y/N played off, her voice trembling slightly at keeping her laugh contained.

Reign of Gods musing

Keep listening to the Hayfields album by Yaelokre which is giving me brain worms for this AU, so here or some of my ideas

The War hasn’t/doesn’t happen, but the Bishops are some of the most powerful gods within the region, while the others have small followings or none at all (mayhaps a possible God Apollo for that LeshyCat ship, dunno what he’d be tho)

God Lamb doesn’t have a huge following, really is a small god in comparison- BUT their domain is strong as its concept is *Change*. From the flower blooming then wilting, the trees growing their leaves then shedding, the current in a creak growing into a pond etc. but the most important aspect is the inevitability, as change comes for everything, and will come in many forms, the scariest for the Bishops is change to their own godhood.

The Bishops are worried about this, especially Shamura, as the eldest and wisest they can see the probability and change, and with it an imbalance

Narinder however, is curious. His Domain is of course Death after all, the inevitability, yet the idea that change comes for everything has him curious if it’s even possible for his domain

They eventually decide to simply ignore the Lamb, taking into consideration of their cult size they don’t view them as a threat- but do keep tabs on them, and have plans that if a change in the air does appear: The Lamb will be executed

Narinder can’t help but want to know more about the Lamb, so he chooses to visit them. He does this under the guise of bing the one to “keep tabs on them.” But he really wants to know more about their domain

Its first presented more diplomatic, Narinder just wishing to see their domain, expecting pushback at first because, well, he’s the god of death, so assumes the Lamb will tell him to leave- but is surprised when he’s welcomed in happily

And this is how their friendship starts, Narinder visits more often than he needs to simply because he enjoys their company

Lamb is, well, lonely. They have followers yes, and they love their followers dearly, but they want to make a connection with someone who just see’s them as another person. But that was hard, as word spread of this God of Change, of a New Kind of Inevitability, so they were avoided by many, as these other gods worried that if they interacted with Lamb, that they may lose their godhood to this “change”. Narinder coming into their life felt like a blessing, and they savoured every minute their spent together

They both found someone who didn’t fear their inevitabilities

Yada yada they fall in love, the Bishops are like “WE TOLD YOU TO KEEP TABS ON THEM NOT DATE THEM” and Nari is like “Oops… Anyway”

This is all I got so far lol, some ideas I keep going back and forth between, like the Bishops killing Lamb and making Nari become a vengeful deity who has to be locked up but since he’s the god of death he brings Lamb back who defeats the Bishops and free’s their boyfriend/hubby

This idea is tricky tho cause I do want the Bishops to live and be forgiven so they can be a big happy family, but idk how I could do that if they do this specifically

Idk lol I’m insanely rusty with making AU’s and musing ideas, haven’t done this in in 5 years so idk what directions I wanna go with this stuff lmao

Gift Wrap: Dean Archer x Reader

One of Dean’s favourite Christmas traditions is decorating the tree, the two of you sip hot chocolate and listen to Bing Crosby’s Christmas album as you hang up each pretty bauble. Afterwards you tuck yourself up against him underneath a fluffy blanket on the couch and watch Miracle on 34th Street. You always drift off before the end, it's something you do when you’re all cozy and warm.

Before you came along he didn’t celebrate Christmas, there was no family for him to spend time with so he’d take on the shifts that no one else wanted so they could go about their own celebrations. It was his penance for the year, his chance to do a little bit of good around the holiday season.

Now it’s an occasion he looks forward to because he sees how much you light up when that special time of year comes around. The joy you take in selecting the perfect gifts, the care you take in wrapping them. You’d think with his surgery skills he would be a whizz at it himself but he always underestimates the amount of paper he needs and ends up patching it with one from another roll. He’d been embarrassed your first year together about his abilities but you had loved his unique approach and he had loved you for not making him feel like an idiot.

You’d let him unwrap his own gift after that, his hands pushing up your white sweater, his mouth ghosting over your soft skin before he made love to you amidst the ribbons and coloured paper.

His thoughts are interrupted by the sounds of you humming, it brings him back to the moment, to the Christmas tree he's currently decorating.

“How’s it looking?” Dean asks you as he hangs up the final bauble.

It’s a unique piece, one carved out of wood that you’d picked up at a Christmas fair the two of you had attended together last year.

“I think it looks wonderful Doctor Archer.” You say from the electronic tablet he’s propped up on the coffee table and directed at the tree.

It’s the COVID year and you’re currently isolating at the hotel the hospital have set up because you’d come into contact with someone with the illness. It means you won’t be home for Christmas this year, something that devastates Dean despite the fact he tries to hide it.

“How’s yours looking?” He asks you.

There’s a clatter as you tilt the screen and he huffs out a laugh as you show him the angry looking cactus you’ve draped some silver tinsel around.

“I’m too scared to try and put baubles on it.” You tell him as you hold up your fingertips to show him the tiny pinpricks. “It stabbed me enough when I was attempting to decorate it.”

“It’s a shame I’m not there to kiss it better.” He remarks and the way that flush of colour creeps across your cheeks, he knows you’ve missed him in a more biblical sense.

“I know we can’t be together right now.” He says picking up the tablet and heading towards the bedroom. “But there’s still some things we can do despite the distance.”

“Oh Doctor Archer.” You smile as you begin to slip off the robe you’re wearing. “I think you’ve just earned a spot on the naughty list.”

I tried out Serendipity's Embrace yesterday but it didn't feel like something I'd enjoy so that's moving to my "not interested" pile.

I also have planned binges for Bangkok Blossom, The Glory (S1 and 2) and The Crowned Clown to try and clear some of my To Watch list.

Last Movie: I don't watch many movies at all BUT I did recently watch Moonlit Winter and all I can say is watch it watch it watch it. I actually cried, not sad tears, but happy cathartic tears because of how beautifully the movie portrayed the relationship between the mother and daughter.

Otherwise it would have been Inside Out 2, which I can now recommend as an excellent educational tool to use for kids just about to experience puberty and all the new emotions that come with it.

Currently Reading:

Ancestors: A Prehistory of Britain in 7 Burials by Professor Alice Roberts. And look, I know it sounds dry but it's really well written, covers eras of history there is still very little known about, and has an excellent chapter in which the author dismantles TERF and gender essentialist talking points using archaeology.

I've also just finished Spy X Family vol. 11 (now waiting for vol. 12) and I'm about to start Twilight Out of Focus (I can't watch the anime until I've read the manga) and read Red Thread vol. 2 (the manga based on UWMA).

it was a particularly bad year. i stumbled upon their silly videos (thank you stay for the edits<3) and they made me laugh. then i started seeing clips of chans room and him interacting with the boys and just like... he's so wonderful. he's generous and kind and loving and thoughtful. just a shy lil guy who also happens to be a flirt and a fucking dork and it's cute man idk shut upp

who is your bias wrecker?

i was certain i'd never have one, i truly adore each of those boys so so much.

i was however proven wrong after a very sweet, silly compilation of binnie being ridiculous. followed by a face cam of his sclass performance in the supreme jersey?? and the curls?? he has such amazing stage presence and he's a great dancer. but he kept going from his cute sweet binnie expressions looking like he was just so into it and having fun, to the "dark rapper" eyes and commanding stage presence. and like, wow. 🖤 i am a sucker for that kind of duality.

in another reality han is my wrecker. that boy is the epitome of what i used to look for in guys: babygirl. lol. well, and insanely talented and funny and everything. I adore him

after befriending a couple seungmin stans, i started looking for pics and clips to send them and found myself so incredibly impressed with him and touched by some of the things he's said and done. plus he’s a funny little shit.

hwang hyunjin is such a sweet boy. since we got producer jinnie on the last album i have been looking back and just so impressed with his growth 🤍

when did you first discover the group?

i was a kpop fan 2014-2017 and went all in. kcon and concerts the whole thing

but then i was just on my usual 6 hour yt shorts binge as i tried to fall asleep and saw skz reacting to the "your eyes" mv, specifically felix's part, obviously. i watched it like 12 times just cry laughing at han screaming, hyunjin trying to escape, channie hiding behind his hands and squealing. it was just so funny to see a group kind of clowning their own shit? i thought they were hilarious.

then i saw julien (solomita) had reacted to 'topline' and i was soooo into it. immediately went to watch some mvs and decided cool i'll be a totally normal casual fan of this group’s music….. :)

THEN a lovely lady i'd followed on my 10 year old tumblr account posted about skz. i messaged her that I’d finally decided to check them out and she was kind enough to answer questions and entertain my onslaught of messages as I screamed about how much I love these boys. and she still does everyday so. thank you hana 🌸

Your taste in music vexes me.

It's very simple.

I grew up being pseudo-raised by a family down the street and we 50% listened to average American radio (so 90s/2000s Big Music) and 50% listened to raggaeton and other radio stations that were only in Spanish, which no one ever translated for me (I was the only one who didn't speak Spanish), so the songs stayed in my heart all my life but... I had no real way to find them. The specific songs are lost to the passage of time but the influence on my taste remains.

Then I'd go home and my mom would play Enya. And then left my dad for a man who would take her to The B 52s concerts. So, that was my home life. Also, my dad would bring home cds people left behind on the greyhound bus he drove, so I got SUPER into Brandy's Full Moon album and Eiffel 65's Europop.

And then I got into anime at a young age, so both Jpop and meme music got into the mix via anime OP/EDs but also AMVs. But I wanted to kill myself, so I listened to emo music (we can argue whether or not this stuff counts as emo but at the time!! it was) , preferring stuff like Hawthorne Heights but also more metal offerings (which is probably the anime influence, lots of AMVs actually skewed towards "harder" stuff than like... FOB and MCR).

That was all of high school, then in college I realized I wanted to fuck several members of One Direction, so I got really into them and then got into a british radio show which introduced me to The Klaxons, Everything Everything, Laura Mvula, and more. But also, Dubstep was really big... and I was a binge drinker in college, so of course I was into that.

Also in college, I got into video games as well, in a way I hadn't been for years, so picked up Utada Hikaru again and then got into instrumental soundtracks. Through Utada, I rediscovered my love for 90s/early 2000s R&B. And decided to explore more current offerings.

This was amplified by the fact that I was ALSO getting into kpop (as a natural offshoot of my Jpop interest) and had frustrations with the "rap" in the songs and wanted... actually good rap and hip hop. So, I swerved a lot into exploring actual hip hop and not the fun house mirror hip hop that the kpop industry was offering.

All of this is curated by my unmedicated ADHD which demands high energy music and they all collided into a musical open mindedness which makes me willing to try anything.

About Tyler Caillet

The other day I binged a playlist full of Hidden In the Sand covers. There was one that didn’t have any vocals by Tyler Caillet. I don’t remember why I went to Tyler’s spotify profile, but I did. While on his profile, I found out that the Hidden In the Sand cover he did was part of an album called “Patience fruit.” Just like most albums that I find mildly interesting, I saved it to my library, and I listened to it today.

I found Tyler Caillet’s music to be very interesting. For a niche musician, he’s pretty good. A diamond in the rough if you will. He’s not one of those soundcloud artists that hitchhike on planes to get to LA and cell CD’s outside the local Kroger acting like they’re the shit. Well, Tyler might do that, but he doesn’t have to ACT like he’s the shit. 

I was gonna review Will Wood’s “The Normal Album” but I had been listening to Will Wood all morning and wanted to give him a break so I didn’t get tired of his sound. I already kind of teased a review on my blog, so I’ll do that later tonight or tomorrow. 

This is different from an album review, I don’t normally do these. If you’d like to see me go over more artists in general and not just focus on one album, let me know. I could have done that with Doja Cat…

Tyler Caillet has been making music since late 2019, and has so far released 3 albums. Those albums are State Of Confusion, Patience Fruit, and Neurogenic. His first song, released on Soundcloud in 2019, was Unwind. As of now, he has more music on Soundcloud than Spotify, so I may have missed a bit. His albums listed in release date go as follows: State of Confusion, Patience Fruit and then Neurogenic. He currently only has around 200 monthly listeners on Spotify. Let’s get that number up!

I’m actually listening to his music while I’m writing this. It’s great to have on. It’s both calming and motivating. My personal favorite song of his (Other than the Hidden In the Sand cover) is The Underground Garden. 

Would I recommend his music to other people? Yeah, I think I would. He has a unique sound. I can’t say I listen to much music without lyrics, but I’ve never seen someone blend Indie and Rock this well. I think that if he added lyrics to his songs I might just put every one of them on my playlist. 

I looked him up, but I didn’t find much. As previously mentioned, he only has about 200 monthly listeners on Spotify. As for Soundcloud, I don’t know. I don’t check Soundcloud whenever I want to listen to new music. 

If you can’t be bothered to listen to his music, I’ll give you the top 5 as usual. Although, if there’s any one album I think you should listen to it’d be either Patience Fruit or State Of Confusion. Both of those are good, and you can put them on in the background since they don’t have lyrics you need to focus on. Just make sure that if you are doing a task, make it a menial one. That way you don’t miss the sick bass lines. 

1- Hidden In the Sand cover: It’s his most popular song, had to mention that. Anyway, as a major Tally Hall glazer, I think he covered it really well. He added his own touch, yet stayed faithful to the original song. There’s a certain Jazz aspect to this cover. 

2- Candy Cane Peppers: This is the one other song from Patience Fruit I added to my playlist. This and the intermission right after sound like really upbeat elevator music. 

3- Northern Green: Northern Green shows the Rock and Roll side of his music. I’d personally classify this as more somber rock. Reminds me of 505 by Arctic Monkeys. 

4- Colour: This rock is rougher than Northern green, and it sounds great. I don’t know if there’s a bass in there somewhere, but I can’t hear it. That being said, the drums are more than good enough. He plays the guitar quite wonderfully. 

5- Akira: I may have mentioned that his music sounds like lofi, and this is one of those songs. It’s like a chill campfire song for the beach. 

In conclusion, go stream Tyler Caillet on both Spotify and Soundcloud. He’s criminally underrated. My favorite album is State of Confusion, so listen to that first.

new to me 2024 - the highlights, part 1

I listened to 644 songs that I had never heard before in 2024.

For at least the last 4 or 5 years, I've started getting in the habit of creating a playlist at the beginning of each year where I keep track of songs that are new to me - some of them might be very old, but as long as it's a recording that I'd never heard before, it counts.

Listening to the playlist on shuffle over the last week or so, it was honestly very hard to narrow down which songs stuck with me the most. When it came down to it, I was most interested in what the tracks made me feel - things like joy, melancholy, & heartache.

I did the best I could to choose the 19 most noteworthy tracks that I heard for the first time in 2024. A lot of these were top songs in my Spotify Wrapped. Some of them didn't get much playtime overall, but something about them stuck with me. Tracks are listed like a countdown, but they're more or less just in the order that I first heard them.

#19 - Rainbow Kitten Surprise, "Painkillers"

This first one falls under the "melancholy" & "heartache" categories. I heard this track pretty early into 2024, sometime in January. The way the driving bass & guitar melody break down into the half-time drag about halfway through the track really sells it for me. And the name of the band itself really threw me for a loop. I'd listened to some of their newest album later in the year, and was blown away by their commitment to bending & blending genres. It's like I can feel every single word.

#18 - Paramore, "Rose-Colored Boy"

This was my #2 most played track of the year on Spotify Wrapped. I went on a MASSIVE Paramore binge early into the year - I listened through their entire catalogue, and even started putting together a (very unfinished) Hayley Williams chronology. Back in the myspace days, Paramore was always one of those bands that I was actually sorta into, but were too scene for my edgy Hot Topic wannabe-mall-goth (yes that's a thing, spotify keeps using it to describe my daylists) sensibilities.

Whelp, this year I just went for it. Nope, I don't regret it in the least. I am a Paramore fan. That's all there is to it.

#17 - Meet Me @ The Altar, "Hit Like A Girl"

Speaking of Paramore, here's a band that I almost immediately wrote off as a Paramore knock-off. I think I first heard a track by them on some sort of Spotify current pop punk playlist, though honestly I probably couldn't even pinpoint which song it was. The next time I ran into them was on boygenius' the record Blueprint playlist with the track "Now Or Never". Then I checked out their latest album, and thought it was pretty rad ("Try" and "Kool" were also in my top songs of the year on Wrapped). "Hit Like A Girl" was a single released in 2021, but quickly became my go to Meet Me @ The Altar track. As a dad to two daughters, the message was what stuck to me most.

"I'm tough, I'll save the world and won't even break a sweat; No bluff, I'm witty yeah I know how to use my head. Said I'm too loud, I should sit down; (No) I've got a lot to say. So what? I'm rowdy, yeah I hit like a girl"

#16 - Spiritbox, "Sun Killer"

I went on a trip to Southern California early in the year and got to see some good friends of mine. The husband is a musician, and I hold his opinions about music in pretty high regard. When I told him that I'd been listening through the entire Paramore catalogue, he put his hand on my shoulder, looked me dead in the eye, and said to me without an ounce of hesitation, "No, you should listen to Spiritbox".

So I listened through Eternal Blue and The Fear of Fear on the plane ride home. "Sun Killer" was the first track of theirs that I had ever heard, and I found the band's formation fascinating. Courtney LaPlante replaced the lead vocalist of iwrestledabearonce, married replacement guitarist Mike Stringer, and then both of them left to start their own band. What in the world. The track itself strikes a nice balance between the metal & electronic elements, with soaring vocals that don't end up feeling too theatrical. The breakdown at the end adds some heavy punctuation.

"Tell me the waves won't rise and monsters will fade with time; to temper the blaze, with a twist of a knife; a sun killer lullaby"

#15 - Land of Talk, "It's Okay"

This one hurts. The rawness in Elizabeth Powell's voice, the emotion and heartache, are nearly unbearable at times. Again, like I can feel every. single. word. I'd first heard of Land of Talk sometime in high school or into college, with their track "Some Are Lakes"; I'd gotten pretty deep into the Canadian Indie scene with bands like Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, and Broken Social Scene. It wasn't until this past summer that I finally gave the whole album a listen. "It's Okay" was the real standout for me, and ended up being one of those tracks that I came back to during my recap this week.

"Maybe when I die, I get to be a car; Driving in the night - lighting up the dark Something in your voice - it sparks a little hope; I'll wait up for that noise, Your voice becomes my home."

#14 - The Story So Far, "Clairvoyant"

Another one of those bands that I was too cool to like when they first started getting some attention. This track in particular was off of a split EP with Stick To Your Guns, though for some reason the artists have their own contributions to the EP uploaded separately on Spotify.

I love the guitar work on this track, and the honesty in the lyrics and vocal delivery. The minor drop into the chorus is a nice touch as well.

"I think you'll notice when things become different, the good vibes in our lives won't feel so consistent and less becomes more cuz the weight is too heavy: I swim in the water that's breaking your levee"

#13 - Fall Out Boy, "Thriller" feat. Jay-Z

I wanted to end part 1 on a high note, though honestly, I was a little hesitant to even include this track considering the allegations made against featured artist Jay-Z. I decided instead to simply acknowledge those accusations, and include a performance of the track without Jay-Z.

Much like Paramore and The Story So Far, Fall Out Boy got their start in a scene that I balked at for most of my teenage years and early adulthood. It hasn't been until recently that I've started embracing the genre for what it is, cheese and all. I didn't give From Under The Cork Tree a proper listen until I was well out of high school, and honestly, wanted nothing to do with Infinity On High. That said, this opening track from the aforementioned record absolutely slaps, and I can't wait to give it a playthrough. Last book: I read the first short story from Côte Tales which is an anthology compiled of works from an elderly writing group in Oxford who I met at an indie book fair. They were very friendly, and as I was purchasing it about 3 of them said "mine has a lot of swearing in it 😊" so I'm looking forward to that!

Last movie: Wicked!!!! I really loved it!!! I was worried about it being a CGI fest and I'm not. Great. With appreciating adaptations of works I already love. But it was so lovingly crafted! Real, thought out sets!! And packed with extras! Yippee!!

Last tv show: FRIENDS. I got stuck in my binging tv bad habit it was a bad idea to start rewatching....but I do think it's one of the most tightly written sitcoms ever. at LEAST 3 plotlines EVERY twenty minute episode!!

Current Obsession: the history of BBC Radio 4. By which I mean I'm reading Life on Air: A History of Radio Four bt David Hendy and excitedly telling anyone who will listen about the parts that interest me. Did you know that in the 70s/80s there was more experimentation as recording equipment got better, so for a few radio historical dramas they would put the actors in period costume so that they could "authentically swish" by the microphones. The audio engineers loved it at least.

Excited for more volumes!!!

I. favourite colours: red, always been my favourite.

II. favourite flavours: Loving asian dishes at the moment; teriyaki stir-fry, ramen, gyoza, chili-oil noodles.

III. favourite genres: Action and fantasy mostly. I'm such a wimp, I'm useless when it comes to horror.

IV. favourite music: At the moment, I'm OBSESSED with Epic: The Ocean Saga. It's a concept musical by Jorge Rivera-Herrans based on the Odyssey and tells Odysseus' journey from Troy and his attempts to get back home. The previous albums are the Troy Saga and the Cyclops Saga and they are amazing!!!! If you have a moment, definitely give them a listen.

V. favourite movies: I adore the original Beauty and the Beast, my all-time favourite movie. But I also really love Pretty Woman, as cliché as that sounds.

VI. favourite series: Oh, it changes depending on what's new at the moment and what I can binge. Yellowstone, Supernatural, The Boys, the new Percy Jackson at the moment is really hitting a vibe. Also adore The Sandman and House of the Dragon. The Last of Us goes without saying too.

XII. currently working on: I'm still very slowly working on a fanfiction I've been writing since I was 17 in the YuGiOh fandom called Paper Roses. I didn't update for 4 years, but then finally got my arse into gear and back into writing. It's been rewritten over the years, but I'm doing a final overall rewrite of old chapters and slowly working on a new one for all the lovely readers who have stuck by me for so many years.

Last Movie Watched:

I watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018) with my parents on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. For those who don’t know, it’s an anthology film of sorts containing many different stories centred around the Wild West. My dad recommended it to me as he likes watching films made by the Coen Brothers. I don’t have a lot to say about it other than I really enjoyed it. I’m a film buff and I usually have a lot to say about the films I’ve just seen, so having that happen to me was really odd. 🤔

I don’t watch a lot of TV and I don’t keep up to date with any shows, so I don’t know if what I’ve put down counts.

I recently finished watching the Fernando (2020–) docuseries on Amazon Prime and I loved it. 🤩 It’s mainly about Fernando Alonso and the many adventures he got up to during his 2-year retirement from F1. It’s really interesting!

The last book I read was The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and the last fic I read was a Chalex fic called I Can Feel The Sun On You by mintchocolatechip97.

The book I abandoned quite swiftly was a Dave Grohl autobiography my uncle and auntie got me for Christmas. I was never a Foo Fighters listener and I’m not a Foo Fighters fan. I still have no idea why they thought I’d like it. Sorry to the people who like them, they’re just not for me. 🙁

Currently Reading:

A Pocketful Of Happiness by Richard E. Grant. It’s such a sweet, tender, and heartbreaking autobiography that highlights how he got into acting and how he met and fell in love with his acting coach Joan Washington. ❤️

Hmmm, this is a tough question. I’m not fussed with how popular my fandom choices are. If I had to choose one though, I’d say The Beatles. I think a lot of RPFs about certain bands and singers don’t get as much attention as, say, Formula 1 or Super Mario or Supernatural do.

I really want to post some more fanfics on AO3, make some more banners on InShot, and do some video editing and gif making on CapCut, but I’m incredibly slow at doing all of them because college work keeps getting in the way of my plans. 😵‍💫 I hardly have enough free time to do any of them. summary: During the Zodiac Party Puck lowkey missed his lovers, and maybe his lovers missed him. Mostly, they end up talking about what the fuck they're doing and despite barely answering that question, they fall back into bed.

MORGAN The opening credits had rung out that catchy drum intro, Dolly Parton had guest-starred, and Miley had fallen in love with egocentric superstar Jake Ryan. That was the basic run-down of the Hannah Montana episode that was currently playing on the TV, in the dark living room at Morgan's ranch. After a day spent with Eva, he couldn't picture a better way to end it, than to be on the couch with her, blanket draped over them, and a half-eaten bowl of popcorn in front of them, watching a show that Morgan clearly had grown obsessed with, thanks to the beauty next to him. "Y'know," Morgan started softly, not wanting to surprise Eva with his sudden voice after the quiet. "I have to admit something to ya..." Morgan reached over for the remote and paused the episode, just as Miley stopped playing her acoustic version of 'If We Were A Movie', that Dolly had sneakily listened in on. "I've secretly been listening to her albums in the car."

EVA While Eva would never turn down a Hannah Montana binge, she was ecstatic to see that Morgan was now equally obsessed (or maybe more so than her) with the show. She'd lost count of how many times she'd seen most of these eps but she was close to reciting every line, but especially with this one episode, which Morgan was zoned in on. It was so adorable that she found herself studying him more than the screen, so she wasn't startled at all when he spoke up. She was caught off guard, however, when he paused the show, though it quickly went away when he opened his mouth again. "Why is that a secret? I used to do that all the time." She admitted and shrugged. "But let me guess: you've learned the lyrics now and can't get them out of your head?"

MORGAN "Yes!" Morgan exclaimed, sitting up slightly to get a proper look at Eva. How was she so good at just knowing those things about him? She'd been, ever since the mixer, and it astonished him how well in tune she was with him. "They're so catchy!" Morgan jumped up from his seat on the couch, knocking over the leftover bowl of popcorn, and landed on the coffee table in front of them, almost slipping on a fruit bowl. "If we were a movie, you'd be the right guy," Morgan started singing, loudly and incredibly bad. "And I'd be the best friend that you'd fall in love with," remembering the remote in his hand, the cowboy pretended to use it as a microphone, continuing to pour his heart out in the song. "In the end, we'd be laughin', watchin' the sunset" He pointed to Eva, making eye contact and grinning at her, "Fade to black, show the names, play the happy song." He finished and jumped back down again, kneeling in front of Eva. "How can I ever thank you for introducing me to such an icon?"

EVA Eva's eyes widened at his excitement. It had been a fair guess really, but she didn't fault him for still being stoked over her figuring out where he was going with this. "They are super catchy, which is probably why—" Her words were cut off at the sudden commotion, and she barely fought to contain her laughter in response. She wasn't even expecting him to get so carried away with his reaction, but it was still kinda adorable anyways. Before she could say anything else, he was belting out the lyrics to the song, and Eva went from gasping to trying not to scrunch up her face in response to how off pitch her was. She couldn't knock his attempt though, and once he finished, she simply smiled as she reached a hand out and gently cradled his face in said hand. "Oh, that performance was more than enough, babe." She giggled. "But if you must reward me somehow, I think we still have like fifteen horses to go, so let's add in a few more orgasms to go along with those rides, and we can call it even."

MORGAN This was so unlike Morgan. He had barely been the type of person who'd date, and nevermind belt out into song, but here he was, doing just that. And it was all for Eva. He felt like he could act silly around her, and if that warranted a laugh, then he was thrilled. Grinning from ear to ear at her reaction, Morgan felt his heart skip, as if it was jumping from cloud to cloud. The feeling of her hand on his cheek, and the way she giggled was enough to have Morgan's knee shake under him. He nodded eagerly at her proposal and chuckled. "If that ain't a done deal, then I don't know what it is," He said and moved in, pushing Eva against the backrest of the couch, his eyes closing and his lips pressing against hers softly. Hannah Montana could wait, they were busy now. Until Morgan's phone vibrated and lit up on the coffee table. He groaned at the interruption, and pulled back from the kiss, his forehead moving to rest against Eva's temple. "Do we think it's important?"

EVA By now, Eva was well aware that Morgan (and Puck) would pretty much agree to anything she asked, so she hadn't expected anything less than him nodding and agreeing to her request. It was quite the arrangement, in her opinion, and it was a win win for them both. She smirked at the verbal confirmation, and then she was being pushed back against the couch as Morgan leaned in to kiss her, and she instantly returned it. With how things had been progressing lately, one kiss never stopped there and she was prepared to let things progress further than that until she heard the phone on the coffee table, followed by a vibration just inches away from her own phone that was somewhere on one of the couch cushions. At Morgan's question, she nodded. "That was both of our phones so unless we're in an episode of Pretty Little Liars and that's A sending some cryptic shit, I'm gonna assume that was Puck drunk texting the group chat." She hummed, and considering no one else would text them both at the same time, that was the only explanation. Reaching her free hand over to grab her phone, she used her face to unlock it and sure enough, it was their third. "Just like a man." She teased as she spun her phone around to show Morgan the text.

MORGAN As soon as Eva started speaking, Morgan pulled away slightly, leaving only a tiny gap between them, but it was enough for him to take in her beauty as she spoke. He really hadn't been joking when he'd called her a goddess. Her lips moved with every syllable, her tongue hitting her teeth every now and then, and the corners moving up and down ever so slightly. As her words came out he registered them. "That's another show ya gotta introduce me to," Morgan grinned, and moved slightly as she got her phone and showed him the text. That's my boy, Morgan thought to himself with a smirk on his face, and took the phone out of Eva's hands, typing up a reply. 'Waiting for you' and sent it, on behalf of Eva and himself. "And now we kill the waiting time," Morgan said, losing the girl's phone in the couch cushions, grabbing her under her thighs, and pulling her down under him, so she was flat on the couch and completely covered by him, and he could go back to hungrily kissing her.

PUCK It took no time for Puck to excuse himself from the party once he got the 'waiting for you' text. For some reason getting hit on by two dudes and thinking for a hot second a threesome might have been on the table, just made him want Eva and Morgan. Being with them was like making art, or at least what Puck imagined making art was like. Hard, creative and satisfying in the end. Thankfully he wasn't drunk, hadn't even bothered with the drinks because he'd been so distracted by the food. Some of which he was bringing with him, because he wasn't sure if they had eaten or not and he wasn't going to think to hard on why he even cared. Not too long after he got in his truck, he was pulling up to Morgan's place, food in hand and pleased when the door was unlocked. Going to the kitchen first he put the food down, and then went to find his lovers. It didn't take long to see them getting into it on the couch. He watched for a moment. God damn! He thought to himself. Never had he deen two more beautiful people and fuck did they look good horizontal on a couch, two seconds from dry humping. Clearing his throat, he almost hated to break it up. Almost. "You got room for one more or you want me to come back later?..." He asked with a smirk on his face.

EVA After Puck's birthday, it was safe to say that her relationships with both men had shifted, and Eva couldn't even handle a simple make out without needing more. Her body just instantly reacted as soon as Morgan dove right in, arching into his hold as they kissed. She was so wrapped up in trying not to rip her clothes off, along with his, that she hadn't even remotely heard a sound as Puck came in. It wasn't until his signal that she finally broke the kiss and glanced his way. "You know we have room for you, babe." She stated as she smirked over at him. "What's the crown for? Were you the hottest guy at that stupid party and someone gave you a crown for it? Or did one of your admirers give it to you in hopes of sucking your dick on one of those upper levels?" Eva questioned curiously.

MORGAN It was almost like Morgan was constantly insatiable whenever he was around Eva and Puck. He got satisfied; there wasn't a problem there, at all! But he could never have enough of them, for some reason. He wanted to stay in those moments with them forever, when he finally got them. Before he found out that his work had been taking his time, he never would've felt like this. But now, it was like he had so much to catch up on, and he only wanted to catch up with those two. That was why he, once again, groaned as Eva's lips left his, this time with him not being in charge of that choice. He'd been kissing her lips to feel that softness and kissing her neck to hear that breathlessness, had felt the curves of her thighs, ass and waist with his hands, was ready to start causing some friction between the two of them, and had gone back to feeling the softness of her lips again, when Eva had pulled away, and Morgan belatedly took in the fact that it was Puck who'd interrupted, like he was told to do anyway, like the good boy he was. Breathing heavily, Morgan sat up on his knees and took a look at Puck as he stood across the room, and the light from the hallway lit him up. God, what a sight. Eva questioned Puck out for this event, and when the last question rung out, Morgan immediately spoke up. "It better only be the first option. Come 'ere if it is," Morgan motioned for him, and moved to the side, so there was room for Puck too.

PUCK The correct reaction to Eva's questions would be to tell her it's none of your business and I'm here now and why don't we focus on the here and now. Instead, he was smiling because it felt good that she might be a little jealous of these admirers of his. Felt even better to have Morgan confirm he didn't want anyone else on Puck's dick but them. Truthfully, being at that party without them had felt kind of lonely, even though he did connect with a decent amount of people when it came to hooking up or even flirting it just didn't feel right. But being here, squeezing himelf between them on the couch, that felt right. Leaning over to Eva, he gave her a sweet kiss, before turning and doing the same to Morgan. "It was a zodiac party, not the killer, the signs. I wore a crown 'cause i'm a king, baby." He put an arm around the back of the couch, across Eva's shoulders. "I've only got two admirers I let suck my dick these days and they wren't there." He leaned into Morgan. "Is that Hannah Montana?" He asked looking at the TV.

EVA Eva wasn't the jealous type, as if she'd ever had any reason to be anyways, but she also knew that all three parties of this throuple had admirers and if the last PSU event had been anything to go by, she was sure that most people in attendance were drunk and horny. She wouldn't have even blamed them for wanting to be all over Puck, since that was what her and Morgan wanted too, but she wasn't pressed about it either. But Morgan seemed to be thinking the same way that she was, so she simply giggled as she sat back up on the couch just in time for Puck to come over and kiss her. "Wait, did you think it was a zodiac killer party?" She asked, though she was sure the answer was yes. Leaning into the arm now around her shoulders, Eva shrugged. "Nice save. But duh, it's Hannah Montana. Which might not be your thing, and if it isn't that's fine, but our boy Morgan here is addicted now. You just missed his..interesting performance of one of her songs. He got the lyrics right, but the keys? Not so much." She giggled before she glanced over at Morgan. "It was still lovely though, cowboy."

MORGAN Morgan kept his eyes on Puck as he watched him make his way over to the other two on the couch, and he smirked. That was all he needed to know, in terms of Puck not being with other people. The three hadn’t exactly made this whole throuple situation exclusive, but Morgan wasn’t flirting or even seeing anyone else but those two, and he was hoping that they’d accepted that silent agreement too. Furrowing his eyebrows as Puck kept explaining, the tall cowboy couldn’t be any more confused. “So, it wasn’t some kinda murder mystery party? Not that it could ever beat this company,” Morgan said, referring to Eva, “but I do love me a good murder mystery.” Morgan grinned and laid down, putting his head next to Eva’s. He could smell her sweet shampoo from there. Chuckling at her comments about his spontaneous singing-outburst, Morgan shrugged his shoulders. “Hey, I never claimed to be a professional troubadour! Just a professional Hannah Montana fan.” And he wasn’t embarrassed by it either. Humming, Morgan turned to face Puck again and he reached over, poking at the crown. “So, you decided to ditch their party to join ours? Why?”

PUCK "Yup." He answered Eva, getting more comfortable on the couch. "Almost went there with fake blood on my shirt for the vibe but last second Maya was like, 'It's a zodiac party' and I'm like yeah kid, I know and she was like 'Zodiac sign, not killer'. So thank God for her." He laughed at the memory, truly he was lucky one of them was smart. "But there was a dude there dressed as Mark Ruffalo's character in Zodiac so it wasn't just us." He said more to Morgan, since apparently they'd both thought the same thing. Listening to Eva and Morgan talk about their night, he smiled, it sounded nice. For the first time in a while he thought it might have been better to just hang with them in the first place than go to the party. "It was If We Were a Movie wasn't it?" He guessed, because it was the song that usually got stuck in his head, unless you count the little riff Miley does for the transitions. Until Morgan poked it, Puck had forgotten the crown was even on his head, which was probably a very Leo thing of him to do. Shrugging, he wasn't sure he wanted to share the real answer, seemed like too much for whatever this trio was doing. "There was just too many people trynna suck my dick, it was overwhelming, didn't know where to start." He smirked like the fuckboi he use to be.

EVA Honestly, Eva should have expected men to assumed zodiac meant the killer and not the actual signs, but she was still extremely amused by this anyways. "Y'all know women are all into that astrology shit nowadays, but I can see why y'all would think it was a murder mystery party." If it had been that instead, she probably would have been more inclined to attend, but it being the signs was exactly why she hadn't bothered. She smiled when Puck, who apparently claimed not to be as into Hannah Montana as they were, knew exactly what song Morgan had been singing. Maybe it was just that easy to guess? "It was exactly that song, and it wasn't horrendous, just pitchy. But then again, I do come from a musically gifted parent, so maybe I was just judging you too harshly, babe." She decided, and that could stick for now. She glanced at the crown briefly before rolling her eyes playfully as Puck admitted what she'd already suspected. Of course that party was just another fuck fest, hence why Eva had opted to sit it out. She had two dicks she could alternate between so it hadn't been appealing to attend this party. "Yeah, once the drinks start flowing, so does the hormones." She hummed. "But hey, other than what you just walked in on, we've been binging Hannah Montana and hanging out, so like it's much less stressful and thirsty over here." She beamed.

MORGAN It felt really nice to be in a situation where Puck felt open enough to share things about Maya with the both of them; he didn’t know if that was a common thing for him to do with Eva, and if Eva had even met Maya yet, but he wasn’t going to put too much thought into that right in this moment; the important thing for Morgan to note, was that he felt comfortable enough to do it, given his recent observations with the other man being a bit more closed off than himself. He couldn’t help but let out a laugh as Puck kept telling about the party, and how ridiculous it all sounded; it wasn’t his type of crowd, and it would’ve taken something special, for him to go. Especially when Eva started bringing up the hormones, and how it had seemed like the mixer had become a bit of a flirt-fest; he could testament to that, with Eva. Morgan kept quiet as the two talked, admiring their energy and chemistry, and how well they played off each other. He hummed along as the girl told the other man what they’d been up to, and he sat up, his long legs moving over the backrest of the couch to stand on the floor, and move to get the remote. “Speak for yourself, gorgeous,” Morgan smirked, talking to Eva, and turned the TV off, before kneeling back down on the floor, in front of the couch again, like he’d done before. He crossed his arms on the cushion, and rested his chin on them, looking at the two beauties in front of him, admiring them. “I feel like I’m always thirsty with the two of you around.”

PUCK "'Course I know that. How do you think I found out my sign in the first place. Some chick with beads in her hair did a whole chart thing." If you ask Puck, it should have been a murder mystery party, that would've been dope. He should see if there was one of those places around here, maybe it could be a date for all of them, or an escape room. Or both. Something told Puck he'd be hearing Morgan sing something off key and adorably some day and he was already looking forward to it. "It's the song that gets stuck in my head so gotta get stuck in other people's." Normally, he'd sing it because he'd ridiculous but he kind of hated singing in front of people that were his mom or Maya. Laughing at her commentary on the PSU events, because it was true. Damn did folks get horny with a drink or two in 'em. It was something else. "I don't know, y'all looked pretty hormonal over here. Felt bad inturupting, wanted to see how long it'd take ya to notice me." Usually, Puck wasn't much of a voyeur but you'd want to watch them fuck too, if you could. Watching Morgan as he moved and turned the TV off, he had to admit he liked the sight of him kneeling in front of them like this. "I ain't thirsty, I just appreciate the art that is y'alls bodies and the music those noises i get out of you make."

EVA "Someone with beads in their hair?" Eva repeated, but then decided that she didn't even need to ask any other questions about it. Whatever went on at that party was probably off the walls, so she didn't need to know anything else. She smiled as Puck confirmed that the song got stuck in his head, and now she knew what to play the next time she was in the car with him. "I'll expand that discography one day, don't worry. Both of you are gonna be doing the Hoedown Throwdown with me on Instagram or TikTok soon enough." She warned, and while it wasn't the usual content she put on her socials, there was no way in hell she wouldn't have them both in cowboy boots and hats doing the dance one of these days. Blushing as Puck called them out, she playfully swatted his arm. "We had to do something while we waited for you but in our defense, you could've skipped the party altogether and been here this whole time, so that's on you." She shrugged as she watched Morgan get down on his knees again. Leave it to them both to be thinking with their dicks the first time they were all in the same room again. "You're both thirsty, as you should be — but hold up. Are we making this a thing? I mean, I know I've talked to both of you separately about the fact that we liked the threesome, and we all have our own relationships with each other outside of this, but we are all on the same page, right?"

MORGAN There were still so many things that Morgan deemed incredibly 'Los Angeles' - a girl with beads in her hair was something he pictured his grandparents would've dealt with, back in the 60s and 70s, but then again, it was absolutely plausible that it'd take place in LA today. Instagram and TikTok were other things that, to Morgan, just felt more 'LA', despite knowing that it was universal. He himself didn't have accounts on social media - he was too busy for that. But he always enjoyed hearing about the latest trends; it was almost like hearing about a fun bar fight, but thankfully not having been there himself to have gotten injured. "Hoedown Throwdown? Sounds like I could get down with that." Morgan mused with a soft smile on his face - at this point, participating in those things meant he got to be around either one or both of them, and he for sure wasn't gonna say 'no' to that! As Eva asked about the threesome, it was clear in Morgan's brain what the answer would be, but it was also really nice knowing the two of them had discussed it on their own, and had even enjoyed it enough to not be declining the invitation to another; the flirting with each other was confirmation enough for that, let alone Puck being okay with watching Eva and Morgan. "Mhmm, I personally wouldn't hate it," Morgan said, his voice soft as he was feeling the other two out. He'd also pretty much given up flirting, and he definitely made sure not to see anyone, outside of them - not that they were exclusive, but he felt like he at least owed it to them to be more or less just focused on them. "I mean, if y'all are up for it? I know that a team of wild horses couldn't tear me apart from an opportunity like that. Have ya seen the two of you? Damn! And y'all know how much a good time I had on Puck's birthday!"

PUCK Just the thought of having to do that dance was making his shoulder and knees act up. Even though Maya should have been too young for Hannah Montana, Disney Channel use to play reruns and let's just say the Hoedown Throwdown was a staple in the Puckerman household for months. But he figured he'd let Eva 'teach' him because he liked being bossed around by beautiful women. So he just smiled at her and silently agreed to dance whatever and film whatever she wanted. Listening Eva and Morgan talk about what they were doing was starting to make chest feel tight. It wasn't, but it sounded a lot like the,'what are we?' talk and Puck had never been a fan of that particular question. It put a lot of commitment on him and he was a father, who made his kid his priority even if she was a bit to old to use as an excuse for non-commitment and whatever this thing was, a poly- poly something, wasn't traditional and he struggled to commit to one person let alone two people. But it was fine, he could breathe because this wasn't that talk, this was just them establishing that they like the whole threesome thing, which he did, so they were all on the same page. It wasn't just sex though, and that's what had Puck pausing for so damn long, because if it was just sex, he'd have hooked up with someone at that party instead of feeling kinda guilty for getting some numbers. Shit, he should probably say something. "I'm never gonna say no to a threesome with two tens. As a seasoned threesome guy, I've never had better than this." And that wasn't just a line.

EVA While Eva wasn't exactly doing the influencer thing anymore, she still had quite the following and still did a few things here and there on them, so why not record a video of her and her boys doing a Hannah Montana dance? She smiled as they both seemed to be agreeing to it, though she wasn't sure how good either one of them would even be. "Great, so next time we're all together like this, pre-sex, I'm teaching y'all how to do it." Even if they ended up being horrible at it, it would still be fun and it would be something else they all did together, so she was all for it. While her question hadn't been the serious one, she could at least tell from Puck's extended pause that that it thrown him for a loop, or scared him, while Morgan just seemed to agree with not much hesitation. Eva would unpack both of their reactions if she were the type to do the feelings thing but since she wasn't, all she wanted to do was be sure they were in sync about the threesome aspect about whatever was happening here. "Sounds like we're all on the same page, but..it also doesn't always have to be sex. We can all binge Hannah Montana or 911 or something together, go on a date or something close to that, ride horses together — I can spend time with you both separately but I'm game for us just doing some chill shit altogether too. Just so we're clear." She shrugged.

MORGAN There was a slight confusion still lingering for Morgan. Was this just about sex, or were they actually gonna try and commit to each other? Because he was pretty sure that it was gonna be latter, given that he'd stopped being any type of way with other people. Andy had obviously come into his life again, but it didn't seem like they wanted anything to do with him, except to visit the horses for their kid, so even whatever lingering feelings that were still there for them had been pushed aside and been pretty much forgotten about. But as Eva continued to list activities and things that they could do together, Morgan got confirmation. It sounded pretty exclusive to him! He smiled, delighted at the deal, and that Puck had somehow confirmed too, in his own Puck-way, that he wanted to keep this going, and moved in to give first Eva a peck on the lips and then Puck. "I like this deal, a lot." Morgan started, before putting his chin back on his arms. "So, are we binging stuff tonight, or do we wanna..." Morgan gestured upstairs, a smirk growing on his face as he thought about what the throuple might get up to in his sleeping quarters. His eyes moved between the two, waiting for an answer.

PUCK It was comforting to know he wasn't the only one who just liked spending time all together. Sex or not, romantic whatever or not, Puck just thought Eva and Morgan were cool people who he vibed with. Maybe he wasn't ready to tackle any other feelings but he had long since admitted to wanting to be their friend. As lame as that fucking sounded. So he just nodded at Eva's words and made a mental note to text them all the shit he wants to do with them in the group chat. He wasn't sure how three-way dates went but he was down to find out with these two. Puck licked his lips after Morgan kissed them and was on his feet before Morgan even had time to finish his not so thinly veiled suggestion at another threesome. Offering a hand to both Morgan and Eva, his answer was pretty clear but just in case. "I don't know if it was the insane horniness of that party or if I'm just always half hard for you two, either way you'll be lucky if we make it upstairs." he said with a smirk.

EVA Sure, part of Eva knew that just carrying on without a clear understanding of what this was wouldn't be a good thing in long run, but she wasn't about to kill the mood with that now. In fact, she didn't even know if she were ready for anything this serious, so she was content to just frolic along and play things by ear with her boys. Smiling at the chaste kiss from Morgan, she wasn't even surprised that the cowboy was suggesting both binging or moving things up to his bedroom, just as she wasn't surprised when Puck stood up and made his decision clear. "Baby, you're literally always hard. It's okay to admit that." She shrugged as she hopped up from the couch and took one of Puck's hands into her own. "But we're making it upstairs. I have a work thing this week and I don't need any sex bruises from the staircase showing in any photos I take." She teased.

MORGAN Morgan had always been a very restless man, always needing to do something, always up and running about, always finding things to be busy with. He couldn't sit still, unless that was the activity that had been set for him. But that had been true to his sex life too. He liked to think that his stamina was decent, he could hold out for quite a while, and it always felt like he could go for another round pretty quickly after. And he was grateful that Puck and Eva seemed to be on the same page with that. There was a need, a hunger for them. Like a bad drug, he wanted more and more. So when they agreed, and he watched them stand up with the same kind of eagerness that Morgan felt inside, that was when he knew he was around the right kind of people for his sex life. He got up on his feet, and slapped Eva's ass teasingly, before leading the way up. "So does that mean no fun hickies?"

PUCK "That's not true. I spend a lot of my time soft, I'm just always hard for you." He said like it was a sweet sentiment, even gave her a kiss, before winking at Morgan, as if he was the smoothest mother fucker on planet earth. Which, if you asked him, he was. Smiling at Morgan's playfulness, he really felt like all of this, whatever it was, made sense. They matched each other's freak, both in and out of bed. There was no jealousy issues between the three of them and it just seemed like the shit was natural. So when Morgan started leading them upstairs, Puck enthusicastcally followed, his hands on Eva's waist as he followed her up. "I can't help what happens when Puckzilla comes out. You know that." As he reached the top with them, they continued into Morgan's room. "Plus it'll be good for your little students to know they ain't got a shot."

EVA Eva was sure that between the two of them, she teasingly rolled her eyes more times than she could count because of their antics. Not that she was complaining, but still. She had just rolled her eyes at Puck's words before he kissed her, which made her smile in response. "Both of you are cheesy as hell sometimes." She teased. "And Morgan, one or two hickies will be fine, but keep them small, and out of sight." She warned as they headed up. Puck referring to himself, or his dick, as Puckzilla shouldn't have been as amusing as it was, but Eva simply shook her head as she walked into the bedroom and wasted no time starting to strip out of her clothes. "I wouldn't sleep with my students anyways, but I'll be sure to let them know that I'm currently being fucked by two of the best men that I know, and none of them can have me. Does that work?"

MORGAN Leading his two lovers into his bedroom, Morgan unbuckled his belt around his waist, and smirked. He'd happily take what he could get, and when Eva said he was allowed one or two hickies he had a small party on the inside. To him, that was like reading a recipe that required one or two cloves of garlic. He always put double the amount in. Besides, he figured he'd get the chance to leave some marks on the inside of both Eva's and Puck's thighs. He continued to remove his t-shirt, throwing it onto the floor, and moved to help Puck off with his too, making sure not to push the crown off of his head. "I ain't worried about your students," Morgan started, his eyes turning dark with lust for the two people, as they got progressively more naked. "I know for a fact that they'd never be able to compare to us." Was he confident? Sure. Maybe a little too much. But he was also aware of how good Eva and Puck made him feel, and it only motivated him to be the best for them too. He sucked in a deep breath and unzipped his jeans, his eyes staying on theirs, switching every few seconds. His voice was low, almost like a growl, and he could already feel himself throbbing at the thought of what was to come with the two gorgeous people. "Now both of you, get on your damn knees and show me what your pretty mouths can do, before I fuck you senseless."

Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater {5 stars} - A very sweet fae fantasy. Dora Ettings is one of my favorite book characters I've read this year.

Idol Lives by KT Salvo {3 stars} - A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy of books about these two. I say that because the author is continuing the series next year but changing protagonists to kpop idols competing in a survival show.

Light of Stars (and the Destroyer) by Sanguis - MDZS AU

My Summer of You, vol 2-3 by Nagisa Furuya {4 stars} - Finished up this manga series and loved it. Slowest of slow burns, but seeing Wataru and Chiharu get more comfortable with each other and their relationship over the summers was wonderfully nostalgic.

There is such an interesting contrast between the intimacy portrayed in two of the shows I'm watching as they air: Sunset x Vibes is suggestive and takes its time, leaving a lot to the imagination. 4 Minutes is filmed closely, sometimes bluntly and it feels like you see practically everything. I think in practicality, you don't, which is even more fascinating and just shows how important filming style is to the mood and feel of a scene.

4 Minutes, ep 4 - I was happy to see more back story filled in for Tonkla and Korn's relationship, but it really highlighted how little we know about Tyme. He's the second lead and yet the show is very focused on Tonkla when it's not following Great. Yet another thing to pay attention to on my binge rewatch. The highlight of the episode was that last scene between Tyme and Great. The focus stayed with Great's adrenaline rush longer than expected and it was lovely how Tyme's tenderness in response led to their first sex scene. It was just very well done all around. (Even though I found myself wondering where Great found a glamping yurt at that time of night and on such short notice.)

Life: Love on the Line (Director's Cut) {finished: 5 stars} - Um wow. My heart is full and yet again I've got no way to describe how a jdrama has left me feeling. It lived up to every good thing I've heard about it over the years. And the framing device using their ages was genius.

Monster Next Door, ep 4 - I really liked how deftly the show treated Diew taking steps outside his comfort zone, with God's very sweet support and encouragement. Also, God is a very funny drunk. I do wonder what God's character development will be because if they've hinted at it I missed it completely.

Sunset x Vibes, ep 10 - The past life scenes I've been waiting for yay. Does Sun have a past life too? He's not having dreams so I'm inclined to think no, which is disappointing because I like the shared reincarnation trope. I am still all ::chinhands:: about the way Sun is with Lin. I love him.

Last song: Gravity Lies by Red. I'm actually binge-listening to the entire album again -- it's my favourite by this band. (I'm considering designing a tattoo inspired by "The Ever", which is probably my favourite song of all time...)

Currently watching: Uhhhh... I am awful with watching things. The last movie I watched was RED. Show-wise (that's not Bluey or the Wiggles. Can you tell I live with a toddler?)? I think I started Good Omens S2 and then dropped off the radar for that one.

Relationship status: Just actually started dating a guy a couple of weeks ago! He's lovely, and his dogs (two BIG puppers -- a Rottie cross and a Malamute wolfdog) adore me. =D

Current Obsession: The Gale Dekarios costume I'm working on for the comic expo next weekend! (All I have left to do is the buckles on his robe, and buying new pants, and making a satchel!) Outside of that, BG3 in general now owns my soul.

6. Describe your dream home. Honestly pretty close to my current one. It's Relatively compact, but has a spacious balcony you can properly go outside on. I think i'd prefer to live with less other people but I can go either way. I'd love a bit of a bigger living room, one that's not cramped when trying to play ttprgs . In general I think I like things to be just big enough, but not too big. I think my dream would be a balcony facing the sunset, somewhere I can sip tea, eat biscuits, and watch the sunset.

8. What’s your favorite show to binge?

High key I find binge watching pretty stressful. The only long series of full length tv I can think I've properly binged is Breaking Bad. Which is amazing but that's not a hot take. "Binging" for me is mostly watching a 12 episode anime in like 2 days, which isn't actually a big binge. But in that case it's Yuru Camp my beloved, I've at least watched it, like, multiple times!

23. Who are five of your favorite bands/musical artists?

Lately I've unfortunately caught "listens to VGM" disease and been been mostly listening to the Guilty Gear OST which I mean out of all OSTs is one of the less embarrassing but still I need to get back into listening to a variety of bands.... remembering song and band names is hard for me tho. But! I'll give 5 of my faves here, mostly focusing to ones I don't think most people will know but there's a mixture:

Hemlocke Springs, apparently she got famous through tiktok? Anyway her music is such a vibe I love it

Smiling Broadly/Twinkle Park, I feel like the you and probably most of the kinds of people that follow me know Hazel the anime youtuber, well she makes music and I've been really into it lately.

Astrophysics, he's a synth guy on youtube. Love both his own stuff and his Miku covers, though I think I found him through his JoJo's synth covers. Still need to listen to his new album. A lot of his own stuff is a bit more breakcore-ey so it can be hit or miss for me but when it hits it hits.

Covet, a math rock band. Math rock is always super chill to me, I need to start listening to it more again.

MARINA, far from obscure but I ran out of more obscure ideas. Her older stuff is just, The Vibe, I'm obsessed.... I should do it at Karaoke next time I go to it!
