Ranrok tries to run, having a deep-seated fear (with good reason) of physical contact with humans. His legs are so short that you get ahold of him easily, but you'll need to be prepared to wrangle the equivalent of three furious cats when you do.

H. Wm. Macnair (Poacher Stalker):

Macnair laughs maliciously, giving you a few condescending pats on the back.

"Mum always did say witches would find me irresistible," he gloats, his mask hiding a twisted grin.

Mortimus Ackerley (Poacher Executioner):

After recovering from his momentary shock, Mortimus takes the opportunity to slam you at full force into a wall, knocking you unconscious.

Oh, dear, we are in trouble.

Oswald Tarrington (Ashwinder Scout):

The young Ashwinder stiffens, possibly in more ways than one, as he is unaccustomed to physical affection, especially from a pretty witch.

"What are you doing!?" he stammers, his heart racing as he struggles to relax and appreciate the warmth of your soft body and the smell of your shampoo.

Theophilus Harlow:

Mouth agape, revealing yellowed and crooked teeth, his wide eyes immediately dart towards Rookwood.

Thank you @curodole for the request! So what I gathered from this was:

1. Sole goes missing.

2. Companions find them at Fairline Estates with others

3. They are seeing visions from the past (kinda like in Dunwich Borers)

4. They view this as the truth and deny the existence everything that happened in the Commonwealth.

5. Companions try to get them to snap out of it.

That was my dissection of it. I’m really sorry if I butchered it, but I think (?) that’s what you were going for. If not, just let me know and I’ll fix it. Please enjoy! 😊

Part 2

FO4 Companions React: Rescuing Sole From Pre-War Visions (Part 1)

Sole had been missing for about two weeks, and running off without a word was unlike them.

[Companion] was starting to fear the worst and had spent the past few days roaming the Commonwealth in search of them.

When they reached the Fairline Estates, they found Sole but...they weren’t alone. They were a part of a circle— a cultish-like setup—that was mostly composed of ghouls. The group was surrounding a bubble that was showing flashes of Pre-War memories.

[Companion] tried to intervene, but Sole got defensive. [Companion] knew if they tried to be direct again, the group would get hostile. They knew they had to try a gentler approach this time.

...

Codsworth: [Sir/Mum], please snap out of it! I know you miss the past, I do too, but these illusions are fictitious.

Piper: Please, Blue. You’ve gotta come with me. I want to help you. Try to think of all the friends you’ve made here in the Commonwealth!

Nick: I know you’ve been having a hard time, but think of all the individuals you’ve helped and lives you’ve saved [to the crowd] All of you. All of your lives in the Commonwealth are your realities. Don’t lose sight of them [back to Sole] [Name], please come with me.

Danse: I don’t know who or what is producing these visions, but it’s something sinister. These aren’t real. You saved my life, soldier, and you’ve made a positive impact on countless others’. How can you possibly deny that? We need to get you out of here.

Curie: [to the crowd] Everyone! Zees ‘allucinations aren’t real! I’m zure you all ‘ave loved ones who are worried. Please, return ‘ome! [putting a gentle hand on Sole’s shoulder; whispering] Please, [Madame/Monsieur].

Hanocck: [to self] I haven’t seen a vision this convincing since that Daddy-O trip a decade ago [to sole] C’mon, [brother/sister]. None of this is real. What’s real is how much you’ve helped the people. The common man. You don’t wanna spend the rest of your days living vicariously through an illusion, do you?

Gage: What the hell is that thing anyway? Some sorta portal? Boss, you’re smarter than this. This thing ain’t real. It’s a bubble of bullshit.

Deacon: [serious] I know this doesn’t mean much coming from me, but these visions are lies. They’re fake. I don’t want you to get stuck here forever. You can write off your life here all you want, but you can’t deny the fact that you’ve changed my life. You’re my best pal.

Strong: Human confused. These pictures no real. Life real and Strong real. Fake pictures are lies!

Cait: C’mon! This is all a buncha bullshite! Yer life here is the real one. Let’s go!

X6-88: [to self] Such a strange phenomenon. I wonder what’s causing it. [to Sole] These visions aren’t real, [sir/ma’am]. I am not certain how they are being produced, but they are simply illusions. You need to return to the Institute. We need to treat you; you have been brainwashed.

Ada: A diagnostic scan has indicated that these visions are real. Snap out of it, [sir/ma’am]!

MacCready: [Desperate] You can’t seriously believe these visions. They’re not real. The life that your denying is. Think about all the people you’ve helped— like Duncan. You’re just gonna pretend none of that ever happened?

Longfellow: C’mon, kid! You can’t stay here forever. You’ve got so much to live for out here! [to crowd] That goes for the lot of ya! Get outta here!

Preston: General, the Commonwealth needs you and...you’re one of my closest friends. You’ve helped so many people, and you have an entire life ahead of you. Please don’t get trapped here, [name]. [to the others] That goes for all of you. You all have so much potential. If you need somewhere to go, feel free to come with us. We’ll help you. [To Sole] Let’s head back to Sanctuary.

For someone as infamous as Sole, a bar in one of the bigger, safer cities was out of the question. They'd just get bombarded with people asking for help and their stupid bleeding heart wouldn't let them say no.

Which leads them to smaller settlements. Sketchier settlements. Thankfully, they have achieved the impossible with having over a dozen close friends as an adult and never leave home base alone. They weren't particularly afraid of anyone looking to hurt them when they had a friend on standby. But of course, they couldn't be around all the time as nature calls or smoke breaks happen. But even while drunk, Sole was a force to be reckoned with so they still weren't worried.

That's why their guard was down at the bar and they didn't notice the random drifter putting something in their drink.
