And that’s the (possibly) final episode of The Prisoner from @bigfinishprod! As is appropriate for The Prisoner, it ends the story of Number 6 (OR DOES IT?!?) but it doesn’t allow the listener to come away with all the answers. That might have been dissatisfying in a different series, but here, it feels completely appropriate. I’ll miss this series (if this is indeed the end) but I’d rather it come to a conclusion than go on past it’s natural life. I listened to this this morning: the penultimate episode of the series (possibly, so writer/director Nicholas Briggs keeps claiming.) it feels like we are starting to get some hints of answers; we’ll see what happens in the next episode. But I will probably wait until Sunday for that, which is my next work/normal exercise day. Today’s listen was a bit frustrating. Not because of the mind-bendy nature of the story, but because my stupid airpods kept disconnecting from my phone, disrupting the story. I finally made it through, and now we’ve reached the endgame! After my AirPod issues the other day, didn’t get to listen to this until this morning. Like the previous @bigfinishprod Prisoner stories, it’s a great updating of the original series, faithful to the existential twists and turns but with a modern spin. This episode takes on contemporary politics through the lens of an election in the Village. Unlike previous sets, I think all four episodes here make one big story, so this one ends on a cliffhanger.
