hello!! have u read consequences to the grave on ffn? im a smug gregory truther and cttg!gregory is sooooooo hes SO. its not pure gregstophe, damstophe also plays a big part, but if you havent read it i think you’ll love it!!
I HAVE NOT BUT IT’S BEEN ON MY TO-READ FOREVER!!!!! after gregstophe, I’d say damstophe is my second favorite Christophe pairing, maybe 3rd favorite South Park pairing in general (style will always right there behind/beside gregstophe for me <3)
anyway I know CTTG is like THE damstophe fic of all time (like how The Well and the Lighthouse is THE gregstophe fic of all time, to me) so I know I really need to read it. especially since my favorite damstophe artist from dA back in the day made a lot of art for it. I honestly had no idea that it was Gregory was also in it (or gregstophe?? I thought it was entirely damstophe) but now that I do….. I REALLY gotta go and read this thing huh!!
#everyone else read it with me!! theoretical book club except we don’t gather afterwards to discuss we just post about it maybe#also dude (kenoade) I saw ur tag rant and you are so real and right about everything….. u GET IT…… smug but kind that is the ideal gregory#south park

As always, this story begins with paranoia – with the impending feeling of surveillance.
hello again, friend of a friend... -- Legundo's involuntary trip through the multiverse has landed him in all sorts of predicaments, worlds with hidden dangers or unobvious threats. One thing has been constant, though - he has always been alone, with the exception of the ghosts of his past that h(a)unt him.
Technically, that hasn't changed. It's just gotten infinitely more obvious and infinitely less easy to negotiate with. With Legundo's usual ever-present time limit bearing down on both him and this new unknown, things seem set to unravel whether or not anyone wants them to.

Chicken Pot Pie! :D
this is an actual recipe, but I have not tested it so have no idea if its good.
Ingredients
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 lb. bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 tsp. fresh thyme
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. chicken stock
1/4 c. dry white wine
1 c. frozen peas
1/4 c. fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 (14-ounce) package all-butter puff pastry
1 large egg, beaten
Directions
Step 1Preheat oven to 425°F. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook, skin sides down, until golden brown and crisp, 6 to 8 minutes. Flip chicken and transfer skillet to the oven. Cook, until the internal temperature of the thickest thigh registers 165°F on an instant-read thermometer, 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board. Discard skins and bones, and chop chicken.
Step 2Place skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, carrots, celery, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, just until crisp-tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Add flour and cook, stirring, 30 seconds. Slowly stir in stock and wine. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in chicken, peas, and parsley.
Step 3Cut puff pastry into a circle 1 inch larger than the outside rim of a cast-iron pie plate. (You may need to roll the dough on a lightly floured work surface to get it to size.) Place pie plate on a rimmed baking sheet. Transfer filling to pie plate and top with puff pastry; crimp edges. Brush puff pastry with egg. Bake, until golden brown, puffed, and cooked through, 20 to 25 minutes.

It is not, mostly cause I got 20ish pages in and realized i was maybe a quarter done with what I wanted to get on paper. Absolutely feel free to ask if you have any questions, whether that's big picture stuff or specific card choices.
https://fabrary.net/decks/01H4HRCDQJTKZ7H9WJ7CV2XTMP
This is my public list, it's basically my pre Rosetta list with calls but CttG is insane and warrants some larger deck building shifts that I'm working on in private lists
Mtg is cool and all and I would 100% get back into edh if I found a group around me that I vibes with but God damn if you play card games competitively I'm begging you take a look at Flesh and Blood this game is so goddamn good. Kinda hoping the multi-player format they're working on is interesting and fun.
Like I've never had a mtg deck that I've enjoyed so much that I write basically a PhD thesis on it but I'm at close to 10k words on my Levia guide and maybe 1/10th of the way done.
Also she looks like this so you know

It's not Gregstophe centric but have you read Consequences to the Grave on ffn? If you have what are your thoughts on it? It's so iconic to me and it shaped so much of how I understand their dynamic and their characters
I HAVE NOT BUT I KNOW OF IT…… one of my old favorite Christophe artists from dA (apatur4iris) drew a lot of art for that fic!!
nowadays, i’m a huge fan of damstophe (or dristophe as i know many others call it). however, back when i first got into south park (aka back when i constantly read fics on ffn), i only moderately liked the pairing. so i didn’t really read fics for them. now that i do like the pairing though, i’ve been meaning to read CttG for months at this point. since it’s on the longer side though (max i like to go for is ~70k and CttG is ~158k words), i keep putting it off 😅
but it really does seem to be THE damstophe fic of all time and if you’re recommending it anon, then maybe i’ll sit down soon and finally get started on reading it 👀
#actually I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about it in a post a while back and how I wanted to read it but hadn’t yet lol#so yeah. maybe this is the prompt I need to get started#and honestly even when gregory and christophe aren’t kissing (or going to kiss later) I still adore their dynamic!!#so i would love to read a fic that explores their characters and does so iconically enough it’s impacted others

The Slow Train - Flanders and Swann
I have started discussing sad train songs so I can't escape the link. I realise when looking for sad songs, one may not seek the works of a comedy duo though despite their more light-hearted song writing and relatively small discography, they have a few heavier hitting songs.
Twenty Tons of TNT is a track about nuclear disarmament, specifically concerning how there were estimates that for every person on earth at the time there were 20 tonnes of TNT worth of explosives held in nuclear weapons.
This was back in the mid-1960s, roughly the time of the Cuban missile crisis so was very much in the era of nuclear warfare but it always posed a question in my mind, how many tonnes of TNT are there now in nuclear weapons? Obviously there are plenty of nations who have scaled back their weapon numbers but also more countries have them now and nuclear weapons are more powerful than they used to be. I am not the most proficient researcher but I never was able to come up with an answer because of how unknown figures are which I'd argue is another more terrifying concept.
The song has a vaguely militaristic chant sound to it, with a call and response of "Twenty tons of TNT", though by the forth verse, they just play through the line without saying the line, emphasising the repetitiveness of the problem and how it is the root of the issue. While this song did not win being the saddest Flanders and Swann song, I would highly recommend the song on its own.
Misalliance is a song about plants, which goes against the typical animal songs that they wrote. It is harder to find people's views on Flanders and Swann tracks as there is generally not as much discourse about them online, so I find that the song basically is a shortened version of Romeo and Juliet. However, I feel like there is an analogy for people’s objections to homosexuality in the 1960s, with them describing how they would not be able to have any offshoots. Maybe I am reading too much into it but the attitudes the bee has seem to be similar to homophobic attitudes which adds another tragedy to the Shakespearean tale.
Finally, there is the Slow Train, which is a song about the closure of railways of stations within Great Britain under the Beeching Axe. There is too much to go into Beeching for a short song analysis (if you want a rant about it, let me know) but for those who don't know, Beeching was tasked with making the British Railways more "efficient" which was really a task of cutting the railways back. The first of these reports resulted in 30% of the track mileage and 55% of the stations in Britain to be closed.
This led to many communities to be negatively impacted by a lack of decent connections to other places as well as a loss of so many places ingrained in a part of British culture. These stations weren't typically the large stations and often small, quaint, rural stations. The song misses the regular ongoings of people's lives and the life which these stations brought would be taken away, such as "no churns, no porter, no cat on a seat". The song misses an image of the railways which is often romanticised to this day.
