when exactly does everyone die in your au? except for the ghosts because they’re already dead

THIS IS SO SAD LOL i dont have specific deaths in mind for them, but i can give you the general lifespan i'd give them... if i were to make a comic, none of them would die in it cuz i like them.

this is all under the assumption that a random car accident or whatever doesnt kill them first. CW for death and brief mentions of suicide

Tim and Brian would probably live into their 50s, maybe older. they got away from O/S and do live a relatively relaxed life, but the sickness and other stuff took a huge toll on their health so i cant see them living into their 80s at all

toby is not living past his 30s. canonically he dies like mid 20s - only reason i make him live into his 30s is cuz i like him. O/S syndrome (and plot armor) keeps him going

kate also would probably only live into her 30s-40s. her health is fucking horrible, she was malnourished for so long, she's been beaten and torn up and attacked so many times by random shit . again, only reason i havent had a random cryptid kill her at age 17 is cuz i like her...

natalie would be more likely to live a long life, i could see her being a 80 yr old lady covered in tats. by time she's in her 30s, she's completely settled into a career and apartment. wouldn't have killed anyone in a decade, has no plans on going back to it (since O/S syndrome is why she did it) so its a decent lifespan.. but she doesnt have great health, very related to O/S syndrome

jack would live well into his like... 150s. this is dark but he may take his own life if he realizes how old he's getting without visible signs of aging, he has NO idea what his lifespan is because he can barely describe his own species, and he doesn't see himself making a new set of creep friends after the proxies and natalie and nina move on/die. immortality in such a form is genuinely hell for him and he rather die than spend forever being what he is

jeff dies before he's 30. either a cop or one of his victims fights back and kills him.

liu has a relatively 'normal' life and health+healthcare, so he would have a decent life. i could see him growing old with grandkids

like liu, jane would have a long, fulfilling life

nina is always putting herself into insane dangerous situations but she eventually wants to settle down, so a normal lifespan i suppose...

basically, if they were actively infected with O/S syndrome (proxies, natalie, jeff) , they're gonna live a shorter life. if they weren't infected (liu, jane, nina, jack) then they're more likely to live a longer life, if we assume they die from average health/old age complications

random misc. hollow knight au thoughts go

five great knights are back but it’s just the first five people ghost yanked off the street bc they thought they were cool. this results in what is simultaneously a great and awful lineup of: tiso (glass cannon)(literally still in recovery), briar (was picking flowers), cloth (doesn’t know whats going on), hive knight (dragged out of hive), and hornet (only one here who knows whats goin on)

i am a lemmquirrel truther sorry. let the historians do history. quirrel deserves to live his best life as a quirky librarian i dont make the rules. let him make cookies and wear big cardigans and go to therapy

tiso sets up a little studio to teach bugs how to fight. by bugs i mean the people he drags out of the colosseum half-dead before they can get thrown into the acid. the nailmaster urge to rescue/train others lives on in him

also sly is ecstatic that he now has like 6 grandkids. he shows this by charging them 2 geo less at his shop as a ‘family discount’

My brain is weird because what started as a normal Octonaut Gravity Falls AU, turned into exploring cryptids that live among society and making everyone upon the octopod besides Inkling Tweak and Barnacles a paranormal creature, Shillington who was also Dipper is now a selkie but a sea otter silky and Kwazii and Dashie are both vampires and Dashie is also in Northwest making the Northwest family vampires and Peso is now a siren who in this world is a bird-like creature most similar to the actual original siren but their power of persuasion is not as strong Also he's Fords' grandkid that he never knew about how did we get here

Also, it goes without saying that this is sort of a human AU, I said sort of because only three members of the crew are actually human also peso has six fingers on each hand just like Ford

I forgot to mention Inkling is old man McGucket and no he does not know that he hired mostly cryptids to run his crew he started the Octonauts to get away from weirdness

Ford canonically dated a siren before, though I will say that Peso being Ford's grandkid came after Peso is a siren that happened because my brain loves creating connections and interconnecting everyone and I don't know I love making messy family dynamics

Encanto Headcanons #6

Yeah we're back baby! (Kinda). Now we got Disney confirming Encanto as a franchise?? Where's my show PLEASE!!!

Camilo has never been more disappointed than finding out he was about the same height as Bruno.

Pepa laughed her ass off when she found out Camilo thought Bruno was 7 foot.

Bruno thought it was sweet but also could never even imagine himself hitting 5'6".

Dolores and Camilo are the type of siblings to wish nothing but hell itself upon each other and then go get food and gossip together.

Dolores is a professional chancla thrower, taught from the best (Félix with the aim, Julieta with the accuracy, Alma with the energy).

Needless to say, Camilo fears One Thing.

It doesn't matter how old they'll get, nothing will stop Pepa and Bruno going out of their way to bother Julieta together when they're bored.

Julieta thought they'd stop when they reached their 20s at least. Years later and poor woman is a fool for thinking so.

Félix still carries all his kids like they're still babies. Antonio loves being carried, Dolores doesn't mind but does get a little embarrassed, and Camilo just goes limp cat on him.

Modern AU Bruno would go into the Olympics simply from that whole chase scene throughout Casita's walls.

The man knows all sorts of parkour. He teaches Camilo and Mirabel his moves. Dolores gets her 10/10 cardio from him (seriously, how the hell did she get from the hill to Casita so fast-).

Dolores and Bruno: the cryptid uncle-niece duo.

Sometimes Antonio will follow Luisa on donkey duty so he can talk with them. Apparently the donkeys are big fans of Luisa.

He tries to convince them to make his prima's life a bit easier and not escape as much. They'll try at least.

Miraboo is Agustín go-to nickname for Mirabel. Nobody else can call her that or she'll personally break their knees.

Sometimes when Dolores has no one else to talk to, she talks to Casita. A house can be a really good listener!

Pepa taught Mirabel how to sew. When Mirabel was younger, the two would just sit on her bed, sewing away.

More than once has Pepa tried to steal Mirabel away from Julieta. Soon she'll achieve.

Julieta knows how to use a rolling pin like a bat and it strikes fear in the heart of her siblings.

Camilo insisted that instead of "puberty", he'd call it "photosynthesis" for Isabela.

Dolores can wiggle her ears. Little ear wiggles.

Due to the family's natural clumsiness (or more Julieta's side of the family), Casita now has natural instincts on catching people from falling into mishap.

Casita gets so giddy when the family starts decorating it for parties. It feels pretty :3

Agustín and Mirabel have swapped glasses before, many times, just to see how it feels. Julieta fusses at them afterwards when they're complaining about headaches and eyes hurting.

Isabela may or may not chuck cacti for a living at people who talks bad about Mirabel.

"The not special special?? Oh hell no-"

Mirabel and Félix are peas in a pod, their positive energy nearly blinding the whole family when they're together.

Alma used to be a menace to society before she met Pedro. Now the triplets know who they get it from.

Pedro was more on the wholesome side but also had his moments when he'd be up to no good.

Chaotic energy came from Alma, sassiness came from Pedro.

Pepa is strong enough to lift up Luisa.

Alma will just sometimes sit in the middle of the grandkids' chaos and sip tea, enjoying the life of being an abuela.

Mariano likes to do origami in his free time. Every week he gives Dolores a new creation.

He even starts to make some for the rest of the Madrigals.

Mirabel "Dolores, I'm stealing your boyfriend for the day" and Dolores "Return him by 6" Madrigal.

Mirabel with Camilo is chaotic neutral while Mirabel with Mariano is chaotic good.

Rock kid Dolores. I'm in love with this headcanon, you have no idea.

Antonio starts to take after Bruno a lot more with his quietness and preference to talking to animals. Pepa doesn't know whether to consider this sweet or concerning.

Neither does Bruno, to be honest.

I have so many thoughts about this family, it's not even funny... But that's all for now folks!

I have questions about Become One With the Forest.

How did Micheal’s spouse react?

How did Pierre and the rest of the townsfolk deal with Tree!Micheal day-to-day?

Did the wizard ever apologize?

Micheals Spouse was Shane and it was.. well a difficult transition. the first real sign that things were wrong was that Michael stopped aging and had some “ weird calluses on his hands and stuff. the transformation was very very gradual happening over many years. it was only when Micheal started growing a few leaves in his hair that the pair marched up to the wizards house to demand answers.

it was there that wizard explained that Micheal was “ becoming one with the forest” and would outlive Shane by many years. Shane broke the wizards nose.

after that disastrous interaction shane and micheal left back to the farm where there was much crying and freaking out and holding one another. eventually though they both calmed down and had to deal with the problem in front of them.

Micheal promised Shane that he would spend his entire life with him and Shane promised the same.

During Shane’s lifetime Micheals “ condition” was explained to the other residents of the valley. Overall reception was positive if a bit wierded out because 

a. Micheal still looked fairly human at this point & 

b. Micheal was a valued member of the community 

as the years rolled on micheal became more and more inhuman and seemed eternally youthful in comparison to his husband. at times they would be mistaken for son and father by outsiders and then grandson and grandfather. The townsfolk did their best to help the two and make them feel normal. ignoring that sometimes Micheal would be found spacing out/ photosynthizing in the town square or going barefoot to get nutrients from the soil. one by one however the original villagers grew up and changed, elders like marnie, george, lewis& the like passed on and their kids and grandkids either decided to stay or moved away.

Jas grew up and had a family Micheal and shane were ecstatic to be Grand uncles! Micheal promised that he would watch over the family as best he could.

eventually though mortaltiy comes knocking and Shane passed on. it was peaceful and calm ( died in his sleep around age 90) but never the less devastating.

Micheal began to pull away from humanity so much. Jas and her children tried to help and visit often but eventually she would pass on too and while he would check in on her children and grandchildren it was nowhere near the amount of socialization he used to have. 

he spent long hours on his farm turning it into a food forest, talking with the junimos, and reaching out to two cursed doves that had apparently been his grandfather children at one point. his more human features began to get lost at this point and he devolved into the local cryptid.

as it stands currently He is held in sort of a feared reverence by the current generation of townsfolk. they know he wont  hurt them and you can walk through his forest and eat the food but he is unearning and rarely seen. Legally he also still owns the land. if teh locals want to ask a favor of him they will bring a gift and place it along with a request in the old remnants of the shipping bin. whatever they require will be there within a day or two.

the wizard did try to apologize after shane’s death. there was nothing he could do however and micheal did not forgive him.

BaaB AU ꣏ Bleach Thought

UraIchi family becomes a legendary cryptid like family of Karakura Town as the ages pass, which says something, honestly, because they just never stop having kids.

All anyone knows for certain is that Kisuke and Ichigo are the originators/patriarchs, they’re still alive despite all evidence that applies that they should most definitely not be at this age and they are capable of crazy and crazy impossible on a level beyond all their kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, etc., etc., etc.

Also, their family cat(s?) might be some sort of weird demon/deity hybrid(s?) so it’s best to just give it(them?) a treat if you happen across it. Something Ichigo possibly finds amusing enough to let his husband fuck with everyone by building a tiny shrine that was “long lost” on the opposite side of the Town.

It kept the explosions in the house down for a small while, at least.

Oh the absolute hilarity of a Kisuke and Ichigo who just ... keep having kids and don’t even try to hide it.

At some point they even stop worrying about pretending to be pure vanilla humans.  Cause like really what’s gonna happen? What’s anyone gonna do to them?

Kisuke is Kisuke and Ichigo is Ichigo.

What’s gonna happen realistically here? Someone gonna call the government or something?

Soul Society knows better.  Hueco Mundo knows better and Harribel is a friend. By that point Mikan, Momo, and the rest of their demon fruit brood probably are the human world government.

Every time one of the Kurosaki-Urahara brood ages out of high school all of Karakura Town holds its breath to see how long it’ll take for Ichigo to get hit with another bout of baby fever.

Longest they ever went was about 5 years and that’s because Kisuke whisked Ichigo away on a 20th honeymoon multi-world tour. But the next set of kids were a set of utterly demonic twins so really it wasn’t worth the trade off.

And Ichigo absolutely lets Kisuke build a “ancient shrine” because it’s both hilarious and it’s a good bonding activity for him and the kids.

In The Dark – a cryptid AU about Bad and Skeppy – part 2.

THE STORY

Bad told Skeppy that he is- he was a human, a long, long time ago. And Skeppy didn’t really suspect this, no. But, when the rare rays of sunlight snuck under the canopies, and danced across Bad’s features… sometimes, in those flashes of light Skeppy did see a human face. It happened just a few times before. And if after that conversation, at times of silence and comfort with just the two of them, the white eyes faded out to green more often, Skeppy didn’t mention it. He just collected those moments, like his pretty shards of glass – dark on first sight, but shining brilliantly, when you look through them at a sunny day.

Skeppy keeps them close, and doesn’t ask yet, doesn’t pry in too deep at first. Because he knows even more about this town’s story now. About all the animal attacks many years ago, about woodcutters killed and thrown out of the forest, or hanged up on the trees by “the mafia”. About how quickly the tree logging business was shut down after the big “accident” on one of the forest stations. About the photo he saw, in the little museum near the closed factory, with families of the major business owners of the town. And one of the faces he saw on that picture was the same that shined with gentle kindness, between the flickering of shadows, when Bad sneakily tangled wildflowers in Skeppy’s hair.

Bad never speaks about his past, and why he despises people of the town so much. And with trial and error Skeppy learns that asking doesn’t get him anywhere. It only gets Bad to fuss up, and disappear to nap in the deeper woods for a few days. It is a long way to where they can talk about it directly, without someone freaking out.

Anyway, the woodcutting business is slowly coming back to town, and more and more people and workers are wandering around the forest. So Bad has plenty of reasons to be irritated already, and they both have so many fun pranks to pull on the locals to get distracted and pleasantly pass the time.

THE PAST

The trick of it all, is that the forest is old. And the forest is alive, like an animal in its depth might be. And a while back, in the 40-50s, the wood logging company started cutting way deeper into the woods than before. Going to far, not letting the land recover, chasing that profit on increasing sales. The business was doing amazing – by destroying the calm existence of the forest, hurting it’s body and mind, and not giving anything back.

And in many places, they could’ve done all this and more without immediate consequences. But this land was old. And this forest was alive. And, when scared and hurt, living things can bare teeth and lash out to protect themselves.

The forest was in distress, and angry, and its feelings were feelings off all the living things inside of it. Over time, the animals started getting sick, and more aggressive, venturing into the town, possessed by the shared pain and fear. That pain and fear seeped through the land, and in the town, too, distrust and crime rates started rising up. All was unwell. And, of course, it was very bad for business.

Said business was run by several prominent families in the town. The tree logging factory and the adjacent businesses were all tied together economically and through the reliance on the forest being there on their doorstep. And the people running those businesses more or less knew about what this forest was, how it was. Everyone from the town who was around long enough understood – at least in some way – that these woods are more alive and dangerous than many others. And with several years of disturbing happenings occurring more and more, not many of these business owners could deny the supernatural element of their troubles.

And so, they began looking for the ways to make it better. To appease and calm down the spirit of the forest. It was a real group effort, a whole ass multi-family project. Even if some family members and younger kids didn’t fully believe in all this “occult pagan stuff” – they still tolerated it, and went along. Because families and communities stick together. And what harm can come from building some altars in the woods? Or a few chickens spilling blood on the old rocks near the abandoned trails? They will go on the grill same afternoon anyway.

The spirit of the forest is just, well. A spirit. It’s not exactly sentient, it’s more like a mushi, or a very smart animal, or a thunderstorm – half-personified, semi-aware, just a force of nature taking form and prominence. It just exists, and lives, and it is not human. So, taking leeways with appeasing and calming it down should be ok, right? It’s not like the forest spirit would care, if people will make even with the land by taking care of it, and letting it heal with time… or just perform a cool ritual, and give the forest an equal sacrifice in return for its pain.

Replanting the trees and reworking the business is way too expensive and time consuming anyway. So, they try, and research, and try… And the forest barely takes note of their efforts. And the creepiness, and all the bodies keep piling up, all the bad press is getting harder to contain… It starts to seem, that to really break equal the sacrifice should be of an equal or a greater value than the hurt they’ve caused.

So, in a tragically escalating turn of events, several heads of the families came to the conclusion, that the proper sacrifice, the one that will hold, should be one of their own. A human sacrifice – a life of-, and from people connected to the land, those who caused the forest distress.

It wasn’t the main plan, of course. Probably. Not from the start, for sure. Things just turned out this way, you know. It was just an option on the table. And it just happened that things were going especially terrible, down the drain so fast, and it just happened that they had a good option, a person who was there, and-

It was just so convenient. The accountant in their clique, the newer guy who just recently joined old wealthy families in running the town, build his own business from ground up through the years. He had a son, 20-something. That quiet but loud one, that they barely noticed. And it’s sad, of course, that it had to come to this. And tragic, yes. A real sacrifice. But, really conveniently, no skin of the main businessmen’s back.

They can even keep the distance, and ask their kids/grandkids to mark him for the ritual. None of them really liked the guy anyway. They all were just forced to hang out sometimes, because of status and all that.

So, they’ll gladly go on to make the special paste, or whatever, and make sure the guy touches it. Even if the kids may not believe in all this ritual stuff fully – it’s still fun, and creepy, and that guy was so-o-o stuck-up-ish anyway. Always pretending to be so perfect and proper, you know. Didn’t even partake in all their fun ritual stuff all year. Fuck him, draw a little mark on his raincoat with old herbs and dirt, on the soles of his shoes too, and the inside of his jacket. All 6 of kids got to draw a little finger-painting on something of his, and they all watched him leave to visit his grandma in a cabin deep in the woods.

By the time Darryl got to the grandma’s house, late at evening, the bouquet of flowers he brought her was overgrown with wildflowers.

The voice coming from the dark bedroom, asking him to come in was ever so slightly off grandma’s usual stern tone. So, Darryl didn’t go in, of course. He had his hands full with the pastry bags, and the sweet smelling flowers, spilling out from their paper raping. And when grandma came out – moving just a bit too smoothly for her age, staring at him just a tad more intense than any human would – Darryl excused himself to go chop more firewood behind the house.

And standing there, under the light rain and weak backyard light with only the old, dull iron axe for himself, he knew that his grandma always had a distant, and a bit scary presence, but… The creature in the house was not her. And he knew that something was watching him from the forest – and from the window of the house – dozens of inhuman eyes staring right at him. Waiting.

He tried to run, of course, to get back to town. But the car started to die halfway. And the other kids, the 6 that followed him into the woods, to make sure he stays put… They were right there to take him deeper through the trees, away from main roads. Perhaps, they, too, were scared, and saw the glimpses of white fur far off in-between all other animals following them. But it was too late, they were too deep, and Darryl lost his glasses, struggling on the way to the clearing they decided to stop at.

There was no going back now. The ritual was in motion, gears turning, and the forest took the offer that was promised – the blood of the youth that was tied to the earth. All 7 of them, who partook in the offering, and touched the herbs and blood, and the sigils made with them – because this is how the ritual works, if you really, actually read through and research it.

The kids, or, more likely, their parents, didn’t. And so, after that night, none of them ever came out of the forest. Well, not in one piece, at least. Six badly mangled bodies (some partially eaten by wild animals) were recovered couple days later, and it was blamed on the mafia taking revenge on the local businessmen for some dealings going bad.

The tree logging company and the adjacent businesses didn’t really had a chance to recover after that. Not after several years of lawsuits and bad rumors, and not after loosing most of their kids – one of the bodies was even never found!

And with that tragedy and the following scandals, no one really noticed at first, but the animal attacks quieted down, and people stopped disappearing in the woods. But, in retrospect, it made sense – with mafia moving on from the totally defeated and bankrupt rivals.

THE FOREST SPIRIT

So, yes. The ritual kind of worked, the forest took what was offered, like water running down the newly dug out path. At that time, going down that path, the forest was angry, and hurting, it felt helpless and betrayed. And so did Darryl – just as strongly. And here they were, getting dragged down the same path, connected through it, unable to stop it all. In that shared intensity, being so similar in the moment, tangled through the flow of the ritual, they… kind of became the same thing.

Its normal for the forest spirit to have a vessel – an animal from that forest that carries out it’s will. And over time, those vessels can change, when the time comes, or something big happens with the forest. And there, at that moment, close to death, and merging with the forest spirit, Darryl became it’s next vessel, too.

It’s normal for the forest spirit to possess other forest life sometimes – they act out it’s feelings, if they get too strong. This is a natural prosses, easy like breathing, happening purely on instinct. Usually forest spirits do not possess fully sentient beings (or don’t do it for long). Because people and thigs similar to them, they have more self-awareness and recollection. They can not follow the impulses of the forest so blindly.

What happened here was a freak accident, an accidental turn of unexpected events… Because even after dying, and coming back to life no longer human, even connected to land and the forest so deeply now, being literally a part of them. Even with all of that… Darryl couldn’t get too “possessed”, like other animals or vessels would. That could probably happen, but only if those feelings would be really big, all encompassing, and – matched his own. If they shared them fully and strongly, with the forest, like at the time when for a few minutes they became one.

BAD

When Bad’s sense of self slowly came back to him, he was no longer human. And, after being connected to supernatural world so deeply, he knew of many non-human things just on instinct. He knew what happened with him (what was done to him). Knew that the people who did it paid for it right after, and will be doing so for the years to come. Bad knew that he, himself, will be here, in the forest, for all the years to come. That he’ll never be able to come back to his old life, or even say proper goodbyes.

Not that he’d want to, though. Most people in the town, and especially from his family’s newer circle didn’t like him. For his dad finally making it big and “forgetting the roots”, for Bad being too perfect of an example to compare other not so helpful sons to. And, of course, for Bad being too close to not fitting the perfect example of what a proper young bachelor should be. But the Darryl they whispered, and spread crude rumors about was dead. And Bad didn’t have to try to- or pretend to like them back.

He didn't have to deal with it anymore: with all the greed, maliciousness and distrust of the people and “the business”, all the lies. He was no longer part of them – now outright – didn’t have to deal with them, or pretend to be anything he wasn’t.

They could just. Stay out of each other’s way.

It was pretty easy to do now, since Bad had lost most of the human cravings due to his supernatural nature, and his pain. Pain, and anger, and- So, yes, sure, he could keep people out, just like the forest spirit wanted, and have everyone leave him alone, like they both wanted.

RAT

Forest was already not as seething, and the tree logging business was shutting down, and Bad’s restless, half-dazed wandering between the trees was at least somewhat calming. At some point, Bad found a small wolf puppy deep in the brush. It was really small, weak, and completely alone. Its fur was as white as Bad’s new hair, and its eyes glowed, exactly like the ones Bad saw watching him from the shadows, back on the last day he was human.

This was the previous host of the spirit of the forest, Bad saw it now. He knew that it was born in these woods, and took on the spirit of them just after being born, and carried out it’s will for many, many decades, until Bad came along, and took this wolf’s place. And now its job was done. And it was dying. Slowly fading away to become part of the forest again.

There was some sort of solidarity between them, stumbling into each other between the gears of nature and time. Or, at least, Bad felt it in the moment. And, well, he didn’t have much to do, and fussing over and taking care of a little pathetic puppy the size of a rat was way more pleasant way to pass the time, than just endlessly feeling all the things Bad felt all the time.

So, he took care of Rat (yes, the Rat) for a while, took on hunting for her, and learnt to sleep in the minds of the forest creatures, while she rested. Time lost nearly all of it’s meaning for Bad, but it did pass, more and more of it. And Rat got better, and grew back into a full wolf, and lived past the life-span of all other wolfs born after the ritual. She went on to live on her own, but stayed close by, always keeping Bad in her sites. She joined him on the hunts, and watched over Bad, while he slumbered in the shadows.

Bad had no idea why, but her fur still rippled under moonlight, and her growl rumbled the earth, like some of the power of the forest remained in her still.

Serial Killer Nya/Serial Killer!Nya: Nya is a serial killer, and very over protective of Kai. Instead of Samurai X Nya creates the persona Mazoku X. Kai is aware of her habits, but largely in denial. She's a bad influence on Lloyd.*

Hypno Lloyd/ Hypno!Lloyd: Lloyd has oni hypnosis powers.*

Evil Hypno Lloyd/ Evil Hypno!Lloyd: Lloyd decides to use his oni hypnosis powers to force all his friends to turn evil with him. Nya is able to get away because she doesn’t have an elemental connection to Lloyd for him to exploit.*

Thief au/ Thief!Kai, Theif!Nya, and Thief!Lloyd: Kai and Nya were adopted by Ronin, later finding and adopting Lloyd as well. Zane, Cole, and Jay are the same and have to try and get these hooligans to cooperate with them to save Ninjago.

D&D au: All of the show is just a D&D campaign the characters are playing.*

Moviekhan: Nadakhan shows up in the Movie universe, the movie ninja force wish for someone that can defeat him, Show!Jay gets teleported into their universe and has to coach the much younger ninja and help them defeat Nadakhan.

Siren au: Nya and Kai are sirens. Jay is a pirate they kidnap and keep as a pet/friend. 

Djinn!Jay: Somehow Jay gets turned into a Djinn. He gets his own rules and his wish granting has it’s own quirks.

Villain Vibe: All the ninja are just evil and group up to be bad evil people and rule ninjago. Each are their own brand of bad guy though.*

Cyborg Jay/ Cyborg!Jay: Jay has been augmenting himself in secret and has a whole system of inventions he’s wires into himself.

Oni Misako au: Misako is an oni that was sent to Ninjago as a scouting party, but met Mystake, fell in love with Garmadon, and decided to just live in Ninjago instead of trying to destroy it.

Fate/Ninjago: A holy grail war featuring all your favorite Ninjago characters! (Or at least weird reincarnated substitutes of some of them.) Cross over with the Fate series.*

Ninjatubers: The ninja get Youtube channels for various reasons. Chaos ensues.

Tall Vampire Lady Misako: Misako is a Lady Dimitrescu style vampire. Garmadon is a simp for his giant wife. (There is no tag for this because it got out of hand too fast and there is no way I can dig through and find everything now.)

Grandpa Djinn: Darla was pregnant before Nadakhan's banishment and was Kai and Nya's great something grandmother. Nadakhan escaped the tea pot early and is delighted to take in his great something grandkids.

Uncle Krux: Multiple versions. Krux takes Kai and Nya in instead of leaving them to fend for themselves and either raises them to be evil, or slowly gives up on the evil plan. Alternatively, he gives up on the evil plan before he ever kidnapped Ray and Maya.

Brainwashed Kai (Mod Ivy's Version): Instead of just stealing Kai’s element, Aspheera decides to take him as well, brainwashing him into being her decorative pet

Mod Kat:

Miraculous au: Lloyd accidentally gets stuck in the Miraculous Ladybug universe, the rest of the ninja soon follow. Hawkmoth is his usual jerk, the ninja use some miraculous and just generally deal with the chaos all while they figure out how to get home.

Monkie Kid crossover: the ninja adopt a child from another realm when he randomly gets spit out by a portal directly in their front yard.*

Amnesicpirate!Jay au/ Orpheus!Jay: Jay gets kidnapped by Nadakhan and has his memories stolen. Jay is told that he’s always lived on the Misfortune’s Keep and that his name is Orpheus. The ninja recognize him, he doesn’t know who they are or why they keep calling him “J”.

Bunker au/ Bunker!Kai: Movie!Kai finds an abandoned super villain lair under his house and decides to use it as his own personal secret clubhouse. Show!Kai ends up in the Movie universe and Movie!Kai puts him in the super villain bunker and keeps him a secret from everybody while Show!Kai figures out how to get home.

Cryptid Jay Aus: Jay is a Cryptid that endlessly builds towers that the ninja need to stop. 3 versions, Gay, Child* and Greiving.

Amongus!au: The ninja are aboard a spaceship, and everything is going fine. Until they realize there is an imposter on the ship, planning to kill everyone.*

Kai instead au: In the pilot, Kai gets taken by the skullkin instead of Nya. Now she has to go find her brother. Nya gets help from three students who are also trying to stop the skulkin, they also want some weapons that she couldn’t care less about.*

DHMIS!au: The ninja as the Dhmis characters. Things go about as well as expected.*

Animaniacs au: The Warners mess with a machine of the Brains, meant for Brain to use the help of alternate universe versions of himself. This causes the three Warners to to be teleported to this weird place called “ninjago”, like what a stupid name!*

Hadestown au: It’s the Hadestown musical. Garmadon is Persephone, Misako is Hades. (Plasma au)*

Wrong place wrong timeline: The ninja keep seeing the apparition of a strange person desperately trying to get to them, disappearing right before they get to them. When trying to learn more about what’s going on, they learn that Garmadon is a little more ruthless than they thought.*

Brainwashed Kai au/ Brainwashed!Kai: Instead of just stealing Kai’s element, Aspheera decides to take him as well, brainwashing him into being her servant.

Siren Jay au/ Siren!Jay: Jay is part siren on his mother’s side and doesn’t have perfect control over his siren powers.

Element Swap au/ Element Swap!Kai, and Element Swap!Nya: Nya is the master of Fire and Kai is the master of water.

Ghost of Time AU/ Ghost of time: Kai dies fighting Krux and Acronix in the timestream, causing him to be removed from time. Small evidence remains of him existing like a blurry video of his final moment. Kai’s ghost is outside of time and has virtually no memories. The ninja think he’s important, but can’t figure it out, plus there are some holes in their own memories where things don’t make sense. 

Duolingo Lloyd: Lloyd is the duolingo bird (with a gun) and terrorizes Kai in his nightmares. (and I guess now Misako has an alter ego named Rosetta Stone that’s the same thing)

“Obaa-chan,” says Hana sweetly, like when she was six years old and wheedling extra strawberry sweets from her poor old grandmother. She is twenty-three now, a college graduate with nothing to do but visit her grandparents and poke at the overcrowded job market for openings.

Hana and her grandmother sit across from each other, enjoying tea and pastries at a tucked away coffee shop, just down the block from U.A. They’re waiting for Hana’s grandfather, who is ostensibly playing substitute teacher for Class 3-A. Hana hopes he’ll meet Toshi-ojisan, and report back to them about her favorite (and only) uncle’s adventures in student-teaching.

“Yes, Hana-chan?” says her grandmother, a quick smile twisting her lips.

“You know how ojii-chan doesn’t have any merch?”

There’s a pause. Her grandmother blinks, processing Hana’s sly question, but then her silvered scars crease into an anticipatory grin. Hana recognizes it from Tenko’s face; when he gets excited over something new, his whole spirit brightens.

“Pro-hero merchandise didn’t become a thing until All Might happened.”

“Well, yeah, but once All Might was on the scene, every other pro-hero followed suit. You couldn’t name a pro-hero without comparing their brands or licensed products.”

“Except the underground ones--”

Hana interjects, having prepped for this whole conversation in her head, “Who have unofficial fan-made content!” She twists around and digs into her purse, soon withdrawing a small box, wrapped in yellow paper and topped with a ribbon bow.

“Is this for my birthday or his?”

“Ah-h-h-h,” says Hana, who had perhaps forgotten both of her grandparents’ birthdays, and did not even have the excuse of an early Christmas (it is closer to Halloween than any other notable date; not for the first time, Hana curses her sense of time-keeping). 

“I kid. How old are you again? Six and a half?”

“Obaa-chan,” Hana whines, and she scoots the present to the center. Her grandmother carefully picks at the ribbon and pops open the lid. She watches the glee rise, slow and miraculous, as her grandmother’s hands pluck a small keychain from the box by its yellow plastic loop.

Now, Hana has seen photos of her grandparents in their prime. But she’s only ever known her grandfather as the stooped cranky figure who nevertheless spoiled her and Tenko with delicious home-cooked meals and straight-shooting advice. His continued career as a pro-hero is an open secret in the family, and one her maternal grandparents secretly disapprove of.

Nothing good will come of it, her grandma had advised her grandmother. It’s not like the two of you need money! And he’ll never be honored for it.

He’s never done anything for the sake of recognition, her grandmother had cheerfully said.

Hana has seen some of the tributes to underground pro-heroes. Said pro-heroes are treated as cryptids most of the time; the press reports the names, the forums discuss whatever information is made public (title and Quirk name), and the fans go rabid over any sighting.

Gran Torino is the most cryptid of all the cryptids; he’s one hero amongst many. Without any indication of his age, his longevity goes unnoticed. Without any reports of his work, his fans are limited to only those that know him.

Hana had once spent an entire weekend trying to dig up old photos and videos of her grandparents. Her father had eyed her - after primary school, Tenko was the only one to retain and pursue his dreams of being a pro-hero - and then helped her sort through the albums.

“Hana-chan!” her grandmother cries, delightedly holding up the mini Gran Torino figurine before her eyes. It bounces with the force of her jangling it. “He’s so cute! How’d you make it?”

“My college still lets me access the 3-D printer,” says Hana cheerfully. She pokes at the figurine. “Do you think I got his face right?”

“Oh, yes, absolutely. Ah, you even got the buttons on his cape!”

Hana sits through her grandmother’s cooing with a smug expression. She loves it; she’ll probably attach it to her purse, so all the world can tell that she is Gran Torino’s #2 fan--

“Number two?”

“Well, the title of number one belongs to you now,” the old woman teases. “I would never have the incentive to make a little keychain of your grandfather, y’know! His ego would shoot through the roof!”

“What ego,” says a familiar voice, warm and worn-through, like it had spent the whole day yelling at teenagers. “What the hell is that?”

Her grandmother spins the keychain’s face towards Hana’s grandfather, making kissy noises. “It’s you! Look how cute you are, old man!”

Hana snickers and slips out of her chair to hug her grandfather. “Hiya, ojii-chan!”

“Hana,” her grandfather greets automatically. He’s out of his gear; the only things connecting him to the little figurine are the wooden cane and jagged tufts of hair. The difference is that his hair is gray. Silvery at best, but not pure white yet.

(Hana had not wanted to pay for an excess of colors. The green buttons were the little bit extra to give the keychain some pizzazz.)

“Sit, sit,” she ushers, and pats her pockets down for her wallet. “Let me buy you a drink. Taiyaki’s gone cold, I’ll buy some extra…”

Later, after Midoriya Izuku (her new cousin? Hana’s father was a little unsure, and Toshi-ojisan had only gone very pink) spends a week with Hana and Tenko’s paternal grandparents, Hana receives from him a polite commission for two figurines: another of Gran Torino, and one of Seventh Wonder.

I started writing an outline for a non existent Flower Shop AU series but it just turned into Loving Avatar Thuy Hours.

Here are some great things about Avatar Thuy (SUPER long post because I love Thuy):

She tells her folks that she’s a girl around the same time she tells them about the bald man who taught her to sling mud. Because there’s not a lot of gendered differences in the Swamp Tribe, the trans thing wasn’t a big deal. Finding out their daughter was the Avatar, on the other hand, REALLY WAS.

The concept of “kin” (FOLKLORE TERM) and the connection of all life in the swamp via the root system has a profound spiritual effect on Thuy. She can perfectly call up any Avatar and, as she gets older, can channel them easily when in the Avatar State. For the on-screen Avatars, here’s Thuy’s hot takes:

Wan- She is Not A Fan. Doesn’t like how he shifts between being super cocky and super insecure. Wishes he had not closed off the Spirit Realm. (Not like it worked, as she gestures angrily around the swamp)

Yangchen- When Thuy learned about Fairy Godmothers from a book of Fairy Tales someone brought into the Swamp, this is immediately who Thuy thought of. Yangchen was always calming and patient, and listened every time Thuy would rant about her cousins stealing a toy or when someone pushed her into the swamp. Family is big in the Swamp and Yangchen became another mother.

Kuruk- He can’t handle kids. He also cannot handle the concept of hick Waterbenders. He is a North Pole Waterbender and (SPOILERS) fell for a high class Fire Nation Lady so, he does not like the Swamp. The Swamp is not a fan of his either.

Kyoshi- TBH Thuy was intimidated by her at first. However, when puberty hit, they talked a lot about body dysmorphia and what it means to be a woman. Thuy was able to accept her body with the continued help of Kyoshi. 

Roku- Roku is a story-teller. He told Thuy about the start of the war, and his time with Sozin. He talked about Azulon and what the royal family used to be like. Thuy was fascinated by the Fire Nation, wondering how such a mythological sounding people could do something so human like wage war.It allowed her to think of the Fire Nation as something more than just The Enemy.

Aang- The first Avatar to greet her. He was her confidante and like a very fun grandpa. He taught her to meditate and throw mud pies (breaking the rules by tiptoeing into Earthbender territory). He talked about the war as it was happening, and explained to her how important it was that she grow up safe. He talked about his kids and asked her about the Swamp. He explained how important it was to understand how all things, all nations, were connected and to make friends in every nation. He told her about Zuko, and about his grandkids. Especially Rohan, who might know a thing or two about pronouns. 

Sometimes, catgators are tame enough to keep near the residents. However, this is similar to things we see in the news when people keep exotic pets. Tame does NOT equal domestic, and bad things happen. So when Thuy shows up with Mister Whiskers, Everyone Is Quite Alarmed. 

Catgators, like real life catfish, are also borderline cryptids. No one knows how old they get. Or how big.

I imagine catgators move like alligators and can be surprisingly fast for their flat, fat bodies. Remember kids, run in a zig zag because they WILL get you.

I am from Florida. I live in Florida once again. My family has lived in Florida since we came to this country. I was “poor white trash” and had an accent. I am NOT indigenous (see above comment about coming to this country). I give Thuy a lot of traits from what I remember about growing up, things I know about the rural south via my family, and throw in the pieces I like from canon. I also want to explore topics that are indigenous specific like what’s happening to the Amazon and the continued sins my country commits on native and/or sacred land. As a sensitivity point: I do not wish to ever write about the trials and tribulations of these issues. That is for native people, as they are the ones who truly understand the generational trauma surrounding it. What I would hope to do is bring awareness to real world situations where we as non-indigenous people can assist.

Don’t let them cut down the Amazon y’all for real. And blowing up Mount Rushmore is RIDICULOUS.

Thuy loves people. Because she’s so used to being around a supportive community, and being a teenager, she doesn’t understand when adults are rude or mocking at first. 

However, she is VERY secure about who she is as a person. Her family and tribe has always supported her, so she has a very strong foundation. It takes a lot to rock her. Mostly, she gets embarrassed when people call her out or make fun of her for being loud and overly excited.

She is scared to meet Katara at first, because she learns a little about what Katara did in the war. What and who she lost. She feels bad that she wasn’t there. Thuy doesn’t know how to start a conversation with her, which is bad because Thuy not so secretly wants to replace Kuruk with Katara as her Water Tribe connection. She doesn’t want to go to Arnook, who lost his daughter, or Hakoda, who lost his wife, and Sokka is in the same category as Katara, obviously.

Suki finds her freaking out. And remember, Thuy is a close friend of Kyoshi. They talk and Suki relaxes Thuy by putting the Avatar in Kyoshi robes. Sokka finds them with Thuy thoroughly disguised and, I might actually write this scene so you’ll have to wait.

Thuy likes Azula at first because she is oddly fascinated by the performative femininity of the Fire Nation. Azula is powerful, confident, and very feminine, and that intrigues Thuy. But Azula is Azula and has very little interest in some backwater peasant, even if she is the Avatar.

Toph embraces everything about the Swamp Tribe, as does Rohan, so they are the ones Thuy is the closest to. Toph, as a more destructive Gyatso, figures out how to rig a pressurized device that launches mud projectiles and the two of them wreck havoc at fancy Beifong dinner parties. Rohan takes the technology up a notch and they all terrorize the Air Temples. Doesn’t have the same impact, because they all survived Aang. Toph teaches Thuy to take no shit and give no fucks.

Thuy is insecure about her inability to communicate with the Spirits. Having grown up in the swamp, she could see them and heard how other people ran into them. Especially the refugees that were allowed in. The Spirits seemed to guide certain people to Thuy, which meant they didn’t hate her, but they never seemed to engage. The only thing she could think of was Wan and blamed him unfairly for a long time.

Thuy does a traditional education as the Avatar. She works for a few years with Toph, having a basis in earthbending already from Aang. Crystalbending is her special talent and Toph dismisses it as playing with jewelry (but never discourages her pupil ofc). 

Jinora is Thuy’s airbending teacher and spiritual advisor. She is very good about calming Thuy when she continues to have this disconnect with the Spirits, but is unable to help her overcome it.

Tenzin deems Rohan too irresponsible but allows them to ferry Thuy around so they still teach the Avatar new things. Plus, in this world, there’s a secular sect of Airbending that Bumi - Aang’s son and an Airbender since apparently all Air Nomads are Benders?? - started during the war. They have a very loose relationship with the Air Nomad commitment to non-violence and can live in permanent residences. They are required to do their initial training at the temples, but many go back to their homes, don’t shave their heads, don’t live a monastic life, etc. Rohan goes back and forth about their place, but ultimately takes over as the head of the secular branch. It appeals to Thuy more and they take their role very seriously because of the responsibility. 

Zuko teaches Thuy firebending. His adaptations to include other styles makes it easier for Thuy to pick up, though she still learns the basics at the Royal Academy for Girls (where she meets Suzu and Zula). 

Katara is Thuy’s “master.” She helps Thuy navigate the political world and they work together on the Water Tribe restoration and re-unification plans. Katara oversees the training schedules, the visitations, the summits, the tributes, and every other bit of minutiae. She also gives Thuy a break and they hang out doing Waterbender stuff.

Sokka and Suki teach Thuy non-bending martial arts. Thuy can kick your ass in a multitude of ways basically.

Thuy gets her Avatar Companions at very different stages. You’d think they wouldn’t get along, but Thuy has collected them and they like her, so they make it work.

Suzu and Zula (those are their names, not nicknames) are twins. They are Firebenders and are not related to the royal family at all. They grew up near the palace, went to the Royal Academy for Girls, and were sent to the palace to keep Thuy company and it was supposed to be very formal and politically advantageous for their parents. Except they actually became friends with Thuy and escaped the Fire Nation to go on adventures, which their parents did not like.

Suzu is a blend of Azula and Ty Lee in my mind. She is named in honor of Fire Lord Sozin. (Her family is SUPER into Fire Nation superiority) She is cheerful and enjoys playing around. She and Thuy get overly excited about things together instead of being “mature” and “above such things” as many noble girls tell them repeatedly. Her “Azula” traits come out when someone insults her family or Thuy. She ends up learning chi blocking from Ty Lee. Suzu is not to be left unsupervised.

Zula is a blend of Azula and Mai. She is “the eldest” and does everything her parents tell her to do, even if she hates it. She is named in honor of Fire Lord Azulon (and I guess Azula?). She ends up becoming an instructor at the Royal Academy for Girls until Thuy whisks her away to go adventuring. Zula hates the rigid society among the nobles and very happily dashes off. Can’t say no to the Avatar right??? Her firebending skill is in marksmanship. She can and will singe the sleeve of some snotty little noble from across the room if they irk her. She learns to bend lightning from Iroh and even Thuy is a little scared.

When Thuy moved from her earthbending lessons and onto air, Toph opened up her metalbending academy to have something to do between professional bending competitions. Jae-hwan was a late addition because he couldn’t afford the fees. Then he found out that the fees were arbitrary because Toph is a Beifong and she gave him a room to stay in. Thuy met him when she visited her Sifu and he, not knowing she was the Avatar, stole her purse as a joke. When he did find out, instead of freaking out, started to make fun of her because some lowly Earthbender orphan was able to steal the Avatar’s wallet. He never lets her forget that or any other embarrassing thing he witnesses.

Tashi is very quiet. He surprised everyone by choosing to join Urban Dust, the secular branch of the Air Nomads, instead of continuing on at the temples. People thought he would become a great sage and possibly live old enough to see the next Air Nomad Avatar. But Tashi is a true child of the sky and would live on his Sky Bison Dawa if he could. He does not like being on the ground for long and frequently disappears to go flying. Tashi specifically asked that Rohan be his mentor, again shocking everyone, but Rohan understood. Getting older, Rohan calms down and becomes very philosophical. Tashi finds them to be very wise and they contemplate the nature of things together. Thuy appreciates the one friend of hers that would never end up in jail with her. Tashi brings the bail money. Tashi also hides the body. Tashi can keep secrets.

Aktuk was born and raised in the North Pole. His father is a waterbending master and his mother is a waterbending healer. His older sister is a waterbending prodigy. He lost his leg during his ice dodging ceremony when the boat crashed. As a non-Bender, he had almost drowned and has a fear of the open sea. He makes his own prosthesis and is very into mechanics. When Thuy attended a festival in the North Pole, they had collided because Aktuk was carrying a bunch of parts and material for a project and didn’t see her. Freaking out, Aktuk tried to scurry away as quickly as possible but Thuy kept asking him questions. When she asked how he kept his leg from freezing, Aktuk immediately started to infodump and forgot about being scared. Thuy had to drag him around for awhile, because Aktuk had been basically taught to defer to Benders, but they refused to let him. Suzu and Zula hated the reminder of Fire Nation propriety, Tashi accepted everyone, and Jae-hwan only cared if people were paying attention to him. Thuy and Aktuk date for awhile, but part amicably after they grow into different people.

Thuy saves the world and I steal Korra’s ending for her own. She balances the Spirit World and the Physical World, opening up the portals. She brings back DRAGONS.

Zuko and Katara ultimately retire. Their daughter Izumi becomes Fire Lord. Sokka and Suki’s daughter Kya surprises everyone when they find out she’s a Waterbender and sits on the Water Tribe triumvirate as the chief of the South Pole. Kya and Izumi, having been born on the same day, terrify the rest of the world with their closeness. They consider themselves more like sisters than cousins and have to be repeatedly talked back from their plans to rule the world. They aren’t killing machines, more that they think they know what’s best and only listen to each other. Sometimes Lu Ten. But ALWAYS Suzu. 

Rohan becomes the head sage of the Urban Dust and creates a flying society that freaks everyone out for awhile. Tashi goes to the Spirit World for a long time and comes back, a little weird. IDK, I have stuff to explore with him. It’s not bad, just very different. 

Suzu marries a nice, minor Fire Nation lord and settles down to teach firebending in his rural home. She adores the royal children and they adore her. When Suzu shows up at either the Fire Nation palace or the South Pole, other people know it’s because either Izumi or Kya were planning something.

Zula never leaves Thuy and they travel together forever. Are they together? IDK, it might just be my attempt to fix (what I think is wrong with) k*rr*sami tbh. 

Toph DOES end up going to the Swamp, but her family knows about it and visits her often. Toph does not become a cop ffs, she becomes Willy Wonka but without the candy and slave labor. Lin tries to head the Beifong family after her mother just leaves one day, but she is much more suited to being a metalbending instructor. Once Suyin settles down, she gently pries the Beifong stuff from her sister’s terrified hands and does a really good job at managing Gaoling. They both studied under the Avatar for a little bit, and their rivalry came about with Suyin getting along better with Thuy. 

Sokka, pulling an Iroh, never leaves his flower shop. People ask him if he’s THE Sokka, brother of the Queen of the Water Tribes, brother-in-law to the Fire Lord, friend of the Avatar, then the father of the South Pole chief and he always goes “No, I just look like him and we have the same name.”

He often says this while Zuko is sitting with him behind the counter, drinking tea. 

Aktuk helps rebuild the South Pole and the Water Tribe navy is reborn. The Earth Kingdom is shook. Toph introduces him to another Swamp Tribe member and he marries her. He loves the Swamp. The Swamp Tribe gains a lot more replacement limbs that were lost to catgators. 

Jae-hwan has a hard time letting go of the metalbending academy. He basically grew up there, and spent every free moment there if he wasn’t travelling with Thuy. When Toph has kids, he realizes he had thought of her as his mom and freaks out. She assures him that it’ll be okay. Before she runs off to the Swamp, she legally adopts him, making him a Beifong. He opens more metalbending academies but runs the one in Gaoling because of familial pride. He encourages Lin to take up pro-bending, and becomes a coach when the mixed bending circuit opens. Rohan is OBSESSED with mixed bending matches. 

Ultimately, Thuy gets to relax in a way Avatars had been unable to for many cycles. The Water Tribe navy keeps the coastal city-kingdoms in the Earth Kingdom in check, while also reinforcing the United Republic. With the Swamp Tribe literally in the Earth Kingdom, the city-kingdoms become more firmly established and the Earth King becomes the Earth Emperor, but has to manage all of the city-kingdoms and it’s just a lot you guys he is so tired. The Fire Nation goes through an artistic renaissance under Zuko’s rule and the former colonies turn into industrial powerhouses. They are an economic force unto themselves and protect the Fire Nation from Earth Kingdom advances. 

With the world in relative harmony, Thuy travels often, since her friends and family have settled all over the world. Mister Whiskers grows to ENORMOUS size and they put him in a wagon when they go around. He does not eat people (anymore) but the wagon still warns others not to get too close. 

Zula is always there, with her RBF and scary fast bending. Thuy is still prone to gleeful outbursts and Zula smiles lovingly. They like to read together and will fall asleep resting on Mister Whiskers as they all bask in the same sunny spot.

Mirabel has Blue monarch butterfly wings, antennas, claws, and a long strong tail that can lift someone off the ground if need be. Her irises are very big but you can see the whiteness of the sclera. Like everyone else, she has a big smile that goes ear to ear...literally.

Isabela's stomach can open like a mouth and her hands can turn into venus fly traps. her eyes are clear but you can tell when she's looking at you.
