My headcanon is that Tome would bully reigen and serizawa (lovingly) into making a cryptid factor type podcast with her. I mean… they have so much material to draw from

Apologies to those who have me on other socials and have seen the video and pics a million times already, but I also wanted to share them here, and it was genuinely the best day ever so.
Yesterday I travelled to London, spent a lovely day in the sunshine with some new fandom friends, then saw the Cryptid Factor live. It was a fantastic experience and the show was as chaotic and wonderful as I'd ever hoped. Rhys, Dan and Buttons also came out after the show and talked to us all about how much the show means to them and how thankful they are for our support. It was honestly so lovely and afterwards they did a whole escalator high five thing which was amazing (no doubt there are videos floating around already!). I got a high five from Rhys which is the next best thing to actually meeting him, and I can honestly say the whole thing was just mad and wonderful and so exciting ❤️
Also when I tell you my heart was nearly thumping out of my chest having him a few feet away from me lmao one of my new fandom friends was literally like "are you OK?" 😂😂
Best day ever 💕

Edit: if you'd like to follow me on other socials, my Instagram is jess.in.the.sky and my (fandom) twitter is ohoneonefour, I do also have Discord but I always forget it exists 😂

I've just seen Rhys' video at the Edinburgh Fringe where he states the 'magic kicked [him] in the fucking soul'.
Mr Darby, sir, you are the magic that has kicked us in the fucking soul

Podcasts I'm currently listening to
December 2024 edition
My Brother, My Brother, and Me (MBMBaM). Still going strong, though im about 10-11 months behind. 9/10
Welcome to Night Vale. I often think, "Well, they've done all the words they can do." I'm always wrong. 8/10
No Such Thing as a Fish. I'm about a year behind on this as well, but this podcast is always a comfortable place. 9/0
60 Songs that explain the 90s. This has ended the 90s portion, and I have only a few episodes to go. Usually very good, but sometimes irritating. 7/10
Still Buffering. I don't listen to every episode, depending on the topic. But it's fun. 7/10
Unwell. A horror narrative podcast that another podcast recommended. Moments of it are good, but overall it's pretty meh. 5/10
Random Number Generator Horror Podcast #9. Another one that I only listen to occasionally depending on the topic. But they discuss a lot of movies that I haven't seen, so I have listened to many. 6/10
99 Percent Invisible. One of the greats. 10/10
More Better. Not as good as I'd hoped. I love Melissa Fumero and Stephanie Beatriz, but the topics don't always click for me. 6/10
Allusionist. Great podcast about words and words-adjacent topics. 9/10
Tower 4. Another podcast recommended from somewhere. It's...okay. It hasn't started off with the strength of some other great narrative podcasts I love. But I haven't finished season one yet, so I'm hoping it pulls itself together more. 6/10
Judge John Hodgman. Where would I be without John Hodgman? 9/10
The Adventure Zone. Not all the seasons/adventures work for me. But for the most part, it's good quality stuff. 9/10
Cautionary Tales. Usually very good. When the host is telling a story, it's great. The number of ads, the feed being used to promote other shows, and the host in unscripted segments is enough to take this one down a couple points. 7/10
Lucy & Sam's Perfect Brain. Two of the oddest contestants in Taskmaster history talk about...whatever. It's great, but it might be over. 9/10
Old Gods of Appalachia. Quickly became one of my favorites. It's extraordinary. 10/10
Sawbones. Another one of the greats. I wish they had better content warnings. Every once in a while, I get very skeeved out. 9/10
The Cryptid Factor. A very inconsistent release schedule is the ONLY fault to this podcast. 9/10

Look at our Buttons!! Watch him go!! 😁 It was an absolute joy to meet Leon, Rhys and Dan last night in Edinburgh. What wonderful people they all are. And Buttons' enthusiasm is so infectious. It was a phenomenal show - I don't remember when I laughed so much. Oh, and don't worry, he didn't really hurt himself.

Dan Schrieber will say the most insane shit with his full chest and it lodges in my brain like:
1. He joked his laminated list with his wife includes Murray Bartlett and the Yeti
2. He had a ghost experience with his cousins will in a Tibetan hotel room as a child
3. His wife complained to her acupuncturist about trying to concieve their third child and the acupuncturist was so convinced it was Dan's fault the acupuncturist scheduled an appointment for him to get his sperm count checked. THE ACUPUNCTURIST. And God knows why he actually went and when he reached out for the results they had sent the results to the ACUPUNCTURIST and she OPENED the RESULTS. Then told his wife in all her years she'd never seen such strong results.
4. I think his wife or their neighbor hid a copy of Allister Crowley's book in the garden shed and it disappeared and they still don't know what happened to it.
I SHOULDN'T KNOW THESE THINGS but he so cheerfully offers up the most unhinged stories.

Oh to all my crytpid friends, i heard and saw a squatch yesterday. I have no evidence but I promise I heard a knocking on a tree in the woods and then I saw something that looked like a wookie on a hillside. It only lasted a split second so y'all will have to trust me but...yeah. I want to believe.
