Hello madam you lovely, talented lady, if it isn't too much trouble could you draw horrortale or undertomb Papyrus as a Cryptid who can only be seen by someone who wants to hurt someone else walking alone at night? Like he appears silhouetted by the lone person to ward off would-be attackers. I got the idea from a story I read about someone who was walking alone and they noticed they were being followed but the followers ran off after seeing an intimidating person next to them that wasn't there.

Cryptid Doodle - Day 8: Horrortale Papyrus as a Night Protector Cryptid

This is a fantastic idea and I’m all for cryptids that are like this. Big, scary, intimidating and seem to be only a danger... but ultimately turn to be your ally and friend, even if it’s just during the short walk through the dark alleys or something. A very big and very good boy!

Daily Draw February 2018 - Day 5

Interlude: Perseverance (Bonus)

Chara painstakingly cleans up the inside of the house, leaving the bespectacled human in the front yard for Muffet’s couriers to pick up. While curious, Chara closes the curtains, worried that seeing too much of her process would only give her another reason to silence them. With the purple soul safely contained and the floors mopped clean, Chara moves on to Asriel’s bedroom. 

Fortunately, the only mess here is the human’s belongings and the torn notebook paper scattered about. With a sigh, Chara stoops down to start collecting the pages. Sketches of local plant life, notes about alleged cryptid sightings, and journal entries of human’s thoughts. All trash. 

Chara notices a torn page that settled on Asriel’s bed: it has a garish heading in large, looping letters with little flowers doodled around it: “February 6, 2056 !!” it reads, and under it, “My birthday!”

Chara pauses, and reads it again.

2056? That can’t be right.

They pick up the remains of the notebook and begin leafing through the other pages. All are dated with the same year, the most recent being March 21, 2056.

Chara sinks down onto Asriel’s bed, mind racing to make sense of the date. Did the human travel backward through time? Or perhaps, something had messed up the timeline on the surface, thrusting humans years into the future while the Underground remained stagnant.

No. Chara shakes their head to dismiss the thought. That was backwards. Something had messed up time down here, and that something had to be them. Ever since their brush with death, Chara had continually turned back the clock, ensuring a life free of mistakes, embarrassment, and regret. And while time stepped back within the Underground, it must have continued marching on, untouched, on the surface. Chara never questioned how much time they had lost over the years, but now they were facing the startling truth: nearly 30 years sacrificed to retries and fixes.

Chara feels a pang of guilt, as if they had committed some sort of abomination against the rules of the universe. They push it down. No, they haven’t done anything wrong. Quite the opposite. This is how it has to be--how it should be. With their interference, Chara can collect all the souls and ensure the monsters’ freedom within their own lifetime. They will have to be aggressive with the reloads, but considering they had already compressed 42 surface years into only 13 underground years, collecting three more souls would be easy.

Chara stands, their doubt transformed into curiosity about the surface that awaits them. They set the documents aside and stride into the kitchen, lifting the soul container to eye level.

“What do you say?” they ask, a wry smile on their face, “Should I bring you back for a short interview?”

Chara gave the soul a moment to respond, before nodding in mock agreement, “Ah yes, you are right. It would be a pity to undo all this clean up, wouldn’t it?”

They set the container back down with a sharp laugh, running a hand through their hair, “I suppose I’ll just have to save my questions for the next one.”

From the house of cats (who are my inspiration this morn'): SF Papyrus - cryptid of color plastic springs. So there are these cat toys of small, brightly colored plastic springs that bounce & snap really nicely. My girls love to chase them across the floor. I'm picturing Rus just slinking around public places/houses of those he wants to annoy with hundreds of these tiny springs. Look away and BAM - a spring or more skitter past you. It's hilariously annoying by day & uber creepy by night.

Cryptid Doodle - Day 5: Swapfell Papyrus as Kitty Spring Cryptid

For a moment I thought you were describing slinkies, but I figured those are too long to be safe for cats to play. I didn’t know such a toy exists but it seems quite fun and cute! If there’s a chance to put Swapfell Papyrus in something rainbow-colored, I will do it. Colorful springs everywhere!

Hello! I love these doodle events you do, they are amazing! For a cryptid, I was thinking of Edge as a Monster under the bed, only he acts as guardian of children against things that go bump in the night. He’s a fierce protector and if he ever breaks any bones, he would heal himself with kintsugi, that is, mending the broken bone with gold. He’d wear the marks with honor, every one tells a story of a terrible battle to protect the vulnerable against the darkness!

Ok, I’m all about Edge being the gentle but fierce kind of a person who will protecc weak and vulnerable with all his might. Love the idea of a good monster under the bed for him. It suits him and the kintsugi motif makes him all more precious.

Hello! I hope you're having a good day so far! For the cryptid doodles, I was wondering if we could see UT Sans as the cryptid of missing socks? You know, the ones in the pair that appear to go missing when you go to do laundry, never to be seen again until after you decide to get rid of the remaining one. I imagine he goes around the Underground collecting them & the sock in his living room actually swaps out with other socks in his collection, not that anyone notices. Thank you so much!

I am absolutely not surprised this is the idea for this guy. All your socks are belong to him. He has a huge collection and he’s very proud of the fact that he works hard to liberate every sock in existence. It just... takes time.

Hi again! This new doodle prompt looks amazing! (But don't burn yourself out doing it, okay?) I'm not quite sure if this fits, but I could imagine Outertale Papyrus being a sort of star-making cryptid? Each night, he goes out and maybe takes wayward souls, making them burn in the sky with all the other stars. I just think Outertale Paps would be a lot like OG Paps and this is a kind act for the souls, maybe? I'm not sure I'm making sense, but can't wait to see what comes!

Cryptid Doodle - Day 7: Outertale Papyrus as a Star-Making Cryptid

I didn’t have the time to tackle Papyrus’ design for Outertale version but this was a very neat prompt to start figuring it out. To match the cryptid theme, I added stars everywhere on his ‘body’ where I can. One good starry soul leading the other ones to their place. Very good cryptid, 10/10 would be a wayward soul again.

Heeya bb UwU ❤ Could I get my Boney boy as a cryptid? my idea is that he can be met in a harbor, said to be the walking remains of a pirate who got betrayed by his lover and then drowned at sea, can be seen smoking a pipe at random spots looking out at sea, humming sad songs, getting too close he will disappear, if you leave like a bottle of wine/tobacco at one of the spots he frequently visits, it will be gone the next day with a small trinket left in its place 1/2

I’ll never get tired of drawing Boney in all his beautiful glory. Best pirate skeleton to ever pirate in my humble opinion. This one was VERY fun to draw, especially adding all the little details of the sea thingies on his body. Yo ho, and a very sad bottle of rum wine.

Cryptid Doodle February

Hello, my delightful monster-lovers!

It is true that January is a Monday of the year, at least to me. It’s a little later, I know, but I’m once again launching a Doodle Event here!

My fantastic Patrons have chosen the theme for this month. And it’s...

CRYPTID REDESIGNS

Send me a character and an ORIGINAL cryptid creature idea for me to redesign! Cans collecting cryptid? Rainbow smoke cryptid? Wardrobe cryptid that eats your socks when you clean their favorite spot? Your pick!

Rules:

1. Be nice to me! Say hello! Tell me something about yourself! Connect with me! I don’t want to feel like a cheap art printer, so please, make me feel even a little appreciated for what I’m doing.

2. Please stick to original ideas and don’t reuse the already known and famous cryptids. For those who might have trouble coming up with ideas, I’ve found some generators here and here that might help.

3. One character per ask, one cryptid per ask. If you’re not certain which configuration you want, ask your friends or ask your local cryptid for help.

4. Tell me what this cryptid does and why. Do they hang out in dark alleys to scare off cats in the most time-appropriate moments? Do they sit in front of the local mall and hand out pamphlets that are all black but nobody dares to throw them out? Do they sneeze glitter? Go wild!

5. No OCs, no obscure AUs. Redesigning is already a lot of work, please don’t make me do additional time on research.

6. FANDOMS I’M FAMILIAR WITH AND I’M WILLING TO DRAW FOR:

Deltarune, and Undertale (Original™️, Underfell, Underswap, Swapfell, Horrortale, Outertale, Outerfell, Seaswap, Lilytale, and Humanswitch)

u made a mistake allowing humanswitch to be requested bc now im sliding in w the request of rus as local corner store cryptid- youre pretty sure she’s staff but are staff supposed to know odd details about everyone who enters the store? she knows where the best discounts are in the inexplicably maze-ish store that you swear looked different the other day. she can navigate it perfectly, and kids never seem to get lost. come to think of it, has there ever been another staff member around here..?

Ah, Terezi is one of the coolest and weirdest trolls there are. It’s a great idea to put a blind character in a spot of a cryptid that CAN’T BE SEEN. I bet she fucks with people (and cats) often just because she can. Also, I had to draw her in some version of her Redglare cosplay.

Like I said in the rules - I don’t accept the actual existing cryptids and/or mythical creatures or any other entity that already exists in any culture. 

I will be working only on original ideas. Thank you for pointing that out, however. I hope my followers will read the rules properly and avoid that anyway.
