just re-read Thunderstruck for the millionth time, and it keeps getting better :] i haven’t checked up on this account in a long time so i don’t really know what’s going on and how you’re doing, BUT i hope it all gets better. if you ever come back to finish writing Thunderstruck, i’m sure many people will be glad :> hope you’re doing well!!!

Hello and thank you for your lovely message! It's so nice to wake up to an ask like this. I'm slowly getting better with whateverthefuck my life threw at me, and, to be honest, yesterday I ACTUALLY was talking about coming back to writing but changing the original idea for the arc 3 of the fic. So it MIGHT happen.

I can't promise any update yet, as I don't know how the future will actually roll for me (It's a mess for the past 3 years for everybody after all) and I might grab a smaller fic to warmup first. But there's been thoughts about writing TS, so keep your fingers crossed!

Additionally, I want to thank you all for your patience and wonderful comments and asks I've been receiving during this long ass hiatus - you're all fantastic and should feel fantastic!

My, dear. How is that a challenge?

Asgore is a good guy, who wholeheartedly cares about his people to the point of suffering the burdens alone. You think he wouldn’t have enough tea and patience for Jerry? Really? Mr “I have a whole kingdom to run but I will find time to visit the school to show the kids the meaning of responsibility”?

Having to deal only with Jerry, who isn’t the whole kingdom and the guilt on Asgore’s shoulders could be a good thing for him. He could actually feel like he’s able to help his people. Bad WiFi in Snowdin? Somebody being cold? Those sound like easy fixes!

Additionally, Jerry is also pretty clingy, so it also might be appealing to somebody who was ABANDONED. (People also abandon Jerry all the time, so I guess they’re made for each other in this regard).

And Jerry’s kinda shaped like a teapot. BAM.

Well, 2021 passed very quickly but at the same time it seemed like it dragged forever for me. Time is relative and whatnot. I had... well... not a good year, to say the least. It's slowly getting better and (fingers crossed) the 'gift' that kept on giving seems to be done with all the goddamn giving. If everything goes well, things should look brighter when January rolls in.

Saw the post about American school systems and the lack of "recess"/breaks and... yeah. At my school, at least they broke up the classes into four each day, but the classes were an hour? Hour and a half each? With a single 30ish minute lunch break.

Even worse, in my opinion, was one of the big tests we had to take (SAT) went for almost a normal school day length - I think it was maybe an hour or two shorter - and we had a single fifteen minute break in the middle of it where we were given water and one granola bar since there wasn't time for lunch. That was fun.

Wow that's... my dude, I'm so sorry to hear this? I don't mean to be rude or anything but it legit sounds BARBARIC to me? Hell, only during my uni our classes lasted 1,5hrs. AT THE UNIVERSITY! FOR ADULTS! Holy shit, y'all are really getting the shortest end of the stick there.

Reread this fic and it's just as amazing as I remember! I adore how this story takes time to really flesh out the side characters, the world building, and actually shows our main character (Mr. Edgeman) having friendships and flaws and drama (ex. the trial) and not ONLY romance (therefore making the romance itself feel more real and enjoyable to read/care about). I really like how every character is written too tbh, esp UT Papyrus, idk I just love how u write him. Hope to see more! No pressure<3

Ah, another pretty popular ship, even if the fandom tag isn’t filled with those two.

Both guys are portrayed as mysterious to some extent and... well... hot and tall.  Overall, the mystery here seems to be something that ties them together. It’s hard to say anything more without delving into headcanons and AUs (like where they knew each other before the war, for instance).

But we know it works!

J-Jerry and Papyrus....

It seems like Jerry is in high demand today!

The common ground could again be jokes, especially since Papyrus’ type of humor is quite broad (from puns to some more sarcastic jabs). However, Papyrus is a person who also has pretty thick skin so I think he would easily withstand Jerry’s onslaught of stupid remarks AND shower him with fun ideas to spend time together AND give him encouragement for being more social. On Jerry’s side, we can be sure he’s not going to sugarcoat anything ever, so with Papyrus treasuring honesty, it could be a pretty good thing. They also both live in Snowdin and spend time around the Forest. Imagine the puzzle shenanigans!

Also it’s clearly a “smol grump + tol sunshine” type of ship!

Well, it’s definitely looking brighter than it seemed at the beginning, that’s for sure. It’s going slowly forward, one step at a time, one week after one week. But I’m well taken care of so it’s going well.

I see alot of entrapta with hordak, or just as homies with catra and scorpia, but I think scorpia and entrapta could really work and be together. Kinda like the "Jock and the Nerd" trope but make it Soft. They could try to help each other, and contribute to different parts of their relationship. Both of them are really sweet but honestly when it comes down to their loved ones they are pretty scary and dangerous. I don't really see many people talking about the two as a ship so I thought I might bring it up 😔💖

I adore Scorpia and how warm and caring she is and how much she wants to be a good friend to her friends. She’s very patient and forgiving and I think even without understanding what Entrapta means with her scientific talk, she could understand her on another level. I think there was already some sort of bond between them when they were doing missions under Catra together.

Bonus points for the soft Jock and the Nerd trope, we don’t see that often.

I, in fact, have a rare pair SO rare that i haven't been able to find it yet. That might have something to do with the fact that i dont watch many shows, but whatever. The pair that i like is jock/nerdy kid BUT the jock is a skinny, tiny dude and the nerdy kid is this huge. HUGE guy that just wants to read books and be left alone. And the little jock is just head over heals for the big shy guy.

Ah, I can totally see the appeal. Like really, I love big HUGE guys that are shy and loveable, and that totally deserve all the affection they get from a smaller tiny skinny love interest.

The only ship that comes to my mind that is similar to this (if you squint) is the moirailleigance (queer-platonic type of relationship) that Nepeta and Equius from Homestuck have.

Nepeta is small, feral, hunts on her own, always energetic and open about her emotions. Though she does the nerdy thing of RPing in the chat whenever she can.

Equius is big, STRONG, stiff and proper. He’s also very tech savvy as he makes robots and he’s the one who made Nepeta’s biomechanical tail (or at least everything points to that). However, he does utilize the made robots to fight them and train, even if his STRENGTH is already too STRONG.

They’re basically glued at the hip, even if there are some disagreements between them. It’s a canon relationship in the story though, and one that appears in almost every fic that features them both (as a side ship, a constant in the multiverse of fics)

Like I said, if you squint, it may match your description.

Don’t know those guys, but as far as I know, they’re a pretty shipped ship already? Like, one is chill and cute and grows crops and the other one is being spoiled with food and serene life.

Don’t know enough for anything more, but I think that’s the gist - match a character from a “bad” AU with a character from a “good” AU.
