I just called him lamb of god. DID YOU SEE? You saw, didn't you? Am I being punished for being an Archie not-understander for years and years? I could've reeled this off like that just two months ago but now this is as bad as pulling out my own fingernails.

This applies to Archie S1-6, and in my defense, S7 canon says a lot of the same things about him.

Archie's not very smart.

He's a closet case. Like, being this oblivious is definitely a personality flaw.

Archie hurts Veronica Lodge a lot, and repeatedly.

He's very scarily violent.

He also has a criminal streak he shares with his Uncle Fucking Frank.

He's a dilettante who can't finish projects.

He has an abusive friendship with Jughead Jones.

He's a bad son, betraying his father and terrorizing his mother.

He has a weak sense of integrity.

He has very low empathy ("wow that sucks" or "what happened to the five seasons?" type of responses are cold as fuck).

OK but. HE HAS REASONS for behaving like this! And he's so aware of all his flaws, and he's so ashamed of all of these weaknesses, to almost a debilitating extent, where he keeps trying to punish himself by crawling off somewhere to die from punishment.

Rewatching the final episode now recognizing that the Jughead walking along side Betty in the finale is writer!Jughead, who just wants to make sure Betty is happy and fulfilled with the ending that he wrote for her... Sorry to everyone who was frustrated with the finale centering around Betty, but RAS wrote that episode framing just for me.

i have soooo many issues with the beginning of s5 because of the way they wrote toni’s grandparents but dear god the father of the kid who killed fred andrews coming to archie who was horrifically abused in juvie after confessing against all advice & reason for a crime he didn’t commit to protect his loved ones. & telling him his son has confessed to the hit-and-run & is no longer letting his dad take the fall for his mistake, and they’re trying him as an adult. my god i am WEEPING
