One of the things I love about the Cars fandom is that there is no shipping wars. Most people ship all the canon ships like Sally/Lightning or Flo/Ramon etc and ships that people have don't split any of these canon pairings up like Cruz/Natalie or Sarge/Fillmore etc. Some people ship Lighting/Francesco or Holley/Finn etc but I've never heard anyone disrespect anyone's ship or get into any arguments. Everyone is really respectful and nice. It's one of the reasons I love being in this fandom. ❤️

My thoughts on weatherstorm post cars 3

So before the movie i had a lil ship of cal weathers x jackson storm and after seeing the movie it changed a little. Im gonna start talking about the individual characters of cal n jackson first... Cal Weathers Positive -holy shit cal was such a sweet babe and i need to protect him. There is honestly no reason for me to dislike him and hes sweeter than i thought he would be. Hes also the 'monkeys butt' and those characters hold a special place in my heart! -his little rivalry with bobby and lightning was sooo fun to watch. I loved it! (My gf who i saw the movie with started to OT3 them and thats cute) Neutral -i'm really glad cal decided to retire rather than be fired Negatives -hes.... way older than i thought he was? I was under the impression he was younger, which was naive of me... i mean he still doesn't seem 'that' old to me... but whatevs. -he's king's nephew and not son, this was rather disappointing to me. Jackson storm Positive - hes an edge lord like i assumed he was. -he wasnt as much of an asshole as he couldve been. I mean, no attempted murders. *side eyes chick* Neutral -he... was very bland... and i may need to rewatch the movie but i had a hard time telling if he was sincere at all during that movie. But i have to say, i enjoyed to jabs he made at lightning. Negative - he got the 'chick' treatment where he was nothing more than an obstacle for lightning to overcome and only appeared in the movie when lightning needed motivation to win... i was hoping he'd be more that that... So do i still ship weatherstorm??? HELL YEAH!! I know they never meet in the movie but i think cal's personality, which is kind of pushover-y and meek contrasts well with Jackson's cocky, confident and sarcastic(?) character. This is just a crackship now okay? (Also useful for myself who'd rather ship cruznat and salqueen)

"the dinoco team is really close with rsn" factoid is actually just a statistical error. the average dinoco team member doesnt personally know any rsn worker. cruz ramirez & natalie certain, who are fucking insane about each other and got engaged on their 5th date, are a statistical outlier adn should not be counted

As a lesbian, I a million percent agree. The only real sapphic ship I've seen that has more then like one person shipping it is NatCruz (I've also seen it called CruzNat), and even then it's still a pretty obscure crackship technically.

To be fair though, a lot of that is because there are barely any female characters in the main cast, and those who do exist are in relationships. Flo is already with Ramone, Sally ends up with Lightning and Lizzie, although widowed, is still very fond of her Stanley. I'm pretty sure the only exception is Cruz and even then who the hell do we ship her with EXCEPT the one other female character with more then one line?

Either way, I am starving, send help.
