…it’s really seeming like Molly ended up as the common sense of the group. At least ‘Bear Trap’ makes sense with her motif. How does “Car Crash” fit a minion!? It just sounds like he crashed a car!

Like, Crusher sounds cool, like yeah crush things! And Spike is like dangerous, spiky! And Flame Thrower?? Dark Star?? Like those are intimidating. But Car Crash just doesn’t have the same power behind it. Sounds like a walking disaster.

Eh. At least it isn’t just Ben.

Heh. Ben. Even Molly got a minion name. I’d laugh if I wasn’t trying to get one too! Once er, if I get one, then I can pity poor Ben. Maybe. Probably not. Definitely not, I’ll be laughing. Like a bad guy!

The fact that Prison of Plastic reveals that in the Banzai Blasters the Captain is not the one who gives nicknames but it's more a group activity implies that Giovanni's boys simply started calling Crusher basically the upgrade of "Lover Boy" and he either was on board with that or they just kept doing that until it became an official thing against his will and I don't know which is more hilarious.

For your evil mermaid au, how did Molly end up becoming a mermaid?

OOOO OK I ACTUALLY THOUGHT ABOUT THIS

To make a long story short, Molly ran away from home and asked the boys and Giovanni for help, she wanted OUT of that house. The boys and Gio DID have the idea to ask Ramsey to give her a contract and have a "free trial" of underwater life to see if she wanted to stay with them instead, and pitched it to Molly!

Needless to say, they wrote an official contract once the free trial period was up (Adoption Papers) and Molly has been living as a mermaid under Giovanni and the minions' care since!
