Queen Genevieve Aillenette nee Sauveterre
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Genevieve Sauveterre, known as Eugenie by most of her intimates was born to two decently noble parents. At 2 she was engaged to marry the oldest son of Princess Cordelia-Mercedes under the belief that, although royal, the Prince Alistaire would not ascend to the throne. Until the age of 7 she was encouraged to have a liberal education with her targeted interest being art. When she was 7 her fiancé’s rank increased thus making her the fiancé of the heir apparent. After which her childhood went from happy an enjoyable to strict and controlling, with dominating and ambitious parents.
At 18 she decided to attend Bisous, to pursue her artistic dreams, and higher education regarding the field. At 21 she graduated, but could not become a certified artist due to her position as the future Crown Princess. In the 7th month of the year 1000 she married Alistaire, the Crown Prince.
It was not a harmonious marriage, the Crown Princess valued she independence, and had particularly bad blood with her mother in law the Queen. She lived in a completely different household from the royal family, only seeing her married family a handful of times throughout her 17 years of married life. Eugenie did not live without her fair share in scandals, breaking many court taboos, such as dressing inappropriately, painting figures in the nude and allegedly taking lovers which was a crime punishable by imprisonment.
In 1005 she visited her married family and got into a bad argument with the Queen which resulted in her death 2 days later, making her the Queen Consort. Still Eugenie avoided her husband, managing to last 17 years into their marriage without consummation. As her tenure as Queen, she was outspoken about her contempt for both the royal family and the rules of life that were enforced in Idealps. A quote from one of her pamphlets about her married family read
“the entire family, and the entire country is corrupt. We praise upon how we are the richest, looking upon the other nations for not being as grand, when we both ignore the poor, and charge 5 times the amount they do in the other nations for a loaf of bread… the royals have no position other than being the perfect puppets of the state. They can not break free of tyrannical rules, that they do not favor. Had it been possible I would not be a queen. There are no tender or affectionate lives in the nation, everyone does as their laws command, with no change from the agonizing monotony. The former Queen in particular was weak the the chains that shackle her tightly to this country. My husband, the King, just as weak, he is the physical embodiment of all Royals, a corpse among us with no soul.”
In the end of her life due to pressure she did consummate her marriage, resulting  in her pregnancy. At 38 years old in the year 1017 she passed away giving birth to her only child, a son named after his father, the future King of Idealps. Her philosophical ideas would be shared with both of her grandchildren, who would go on to repopularize her works.

❤️❤️❤️

Tumblr media
The current royal family is comprised of King Alistaire the 67th, his wife Queen Noemie and their two children Alistaire the Crown Prince, as well as their daughter Odelie Mai.
Tumblr media
The King and the Queen have a very rocky relationship. Where she adores him and their family unit, he does anything to avoid her. Unfortunately not super uncommon to have an unhappy relationship in Idealps. Despite having been officially married at 18 (due to the necessity for an heir), they didnt have their first son until their early thirties. The King is grumpy and unsociable, whereas the queen is his opposite in every way. She gives money to charity and spends an abundant amount of time with their children.
Tumblr media
Speaking of the children there is the Crown Prince and the Princess Royale. The Crown Prince much to everyone’s dismay is a trouble maker with no are for education. He would be the favorite of his mother who encourages his likes. On the other hand the Princess Royale, is a top student, orderly and perfect. She is the favorite of her father, who wishes he could legally leave the kingdom to her. She has a close relationship with her mother as well, who uncharacteristically was super involved in her children’s upbringing. The Crown Prince is engaged to marry Lady Camilla-Pomona, whilst the Princess Royale is engaged to Lord Kenichi Minawara (who belongs to @irrelevant-subjects.)

The Royal Regalia of the Royalty of Pridaxus (these are the ones that are worn)
Some notes:
These are usually only worn of official state functions ie wedding, coronations, and some state funerals. On smaller occasions these rulers usually wear their own personalized belongings
Any space that is brown can replaced with any colors depending on the monarch
For Glimmerier and Elvenwick those crowns are for the consort no matter the gender King and Princess are gender neutral but usually infer their traditional respective gender’s. But a female consort in Glimmerier is a King and a male consort in Elvenwick is a Princess
In Idealps there is no crown for a Prince consort, only a Queen or Empress consort
