i tend to think continuity error too, mostly because Shadow didn't immediately call Wednesday out like BUT IT WAS ON YOUR LIST. He acted like it was his idea.

I'm sorry but is no one talking about how Charlton said that his door was the one to his childhood bedroom, and the one that appears for Eliot is the front door of the cottage by the mosaic?...

Oh there’s def been talk about this nonny, but honestly? I will never stop screaming about this.

This episode is so multi-layered and this is one of those little details that really drives home the depth of Eliot’s feelings for Q. I mean when this door appears we’ve already learned that:

Quentin is deeply in love with Eliot.

Quentin wants to be in an actual real life relationship with Eliot.

Eliot is deeply in love with Q to the point that rejecting him was so traumatic he had to repress that memory deeper than any other trauma experienced in his life.

Eliot wants to give a relationship with Q another go if he can ever take back control of his body for good.

And then you see this door, the door to the home they shared together for five decades, and it’s like… shit. Quentin isn’t just the love of Eliot’s life. Quentin is Eliot’s home. The Physical Kids’ cottage is Eliot’s happy place because it’s meant to be a distraction and an escape. But what this cottage door represents? This is not a happy place, but the actualization of happiness itself. And that he got to walk out of that door and come face-to-face with the man that spent fifty years with him and came out thinking only holy shit I want to do that again? Poetic cinema tbh.
