1. How many works do you have on AO3? across pseuds I have 1,010 works. with my "current" one I'm at 607. that is more or less my entire oeuvre, though there's a fair number of short fics on tumblr I haven't gotten around to crossposting though I'd ostensibly like to at some point. eventually. maybe.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 4,873,723. aYIKES. but hey closing in on 5 million! wonder when I'll hit that. I bet I would if I posted my unfinished wips for the mcu tbh

3. What fandoms do you write for? ever or currently? the list of fandoms I have written at least one fic for (not counting ones where the one fic was a crossover) is [deep breath] the mcu, the untamed/mdzs, supernatural, the silmarillion, a song of ice and fire, black jewels trilogy, wheel of time, doctrine of labyrinths, death note, the caliban leandros series, avatar the last airbender, kinnporsche, doctor who, buffy the vampire slayer/angel, gentleman bastard sequence, marvel comics, harry potter, temeraire, good omens, code geass, realm of the elderlings, greek mythology, dragon age, sandman, dexter, lymond chronicles, the firekeeper saga, lucifer (the tv series), crimson peak, kushiel's legacy, the x men movies, chronicles of narnia, twilight, and a couple other small book fandoms.

i used to be a lot more multifandom than i am now in terms of what i wrote for, and have been writing fic for which is how this happened.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? Not my favorite fics, for the most part. They are:

5. Do you respond to comments? I do not. I feel bad about it, but (a) I don't know what to say, (b) I feel unbearably self-conscious/self-important trying and (c) I already have too much I'm trying to do in my limited time/too many obligations I have placed upon myself to add another one that will just stress me out. Again, I have all kinds of guilt about this, though, which probably kind of defeats the (c) purpose of not doing it.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Almost certainly Mercy, though it's possible I could dig up others; that's the literal murder-suicide one, though, and I'm pretty sure I've only written one of those. I've written a lot where one character dies but another survives and has to live with the grief, which is arguably worse? but I still think Mercy wins. once there was a way to get back home might give it a run for its money, though.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I've actually written a fair amount of fic with happy endings! just mostly they have to suffer to get there. but trying to think of fic with a straight happy ending...I feel like I wrote some fairly fluffy fic in Black Jewels Trilogy fandom that I don't want to link to because I don't think it's very good. Maybe Life in Reverse, honestly? That's a fic where I tied up most things and resolved them in a pretty happy way.

Oh, or actually With Absolute Splendor might qualify.

8. Do you get hate on fics? I have in the past! Not a lot, but it happens every so often. Usually I just delete it, tbh; it doesn't feel worth leaving it there and I'm certainly not going to respond to it.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Sure do, primarily for pairings that are dysfunctional in one way or another, and for the most part I want the sex to say something about the inner life/psychology of the characters I'm writing. truly plotless smut does happen but I find it weirdly difficult. I have to do so much pre-justification work for my smut, at least in my head if not on page.

a lot of what I write at least has a little bit of kink or D/s flavor to it even if it's not explicitly written as such (and a lot of it is at least a little explicitly written as such). I also like to write about power dynamics (in sex) and sex that's sublimating some other emotion or desire, if that latter makes sense.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I used to, but not anymore, and I probably won't; I don't know why, but I'm just generally not a crossover fan these days. But I did write a Lord of the Rings/Cthulhu Mythos Morgoth/Cthulhu fic back in the day. No, I'm not going to link it, you can find it if you really want.

The Scarlet Pimpernel/Black Jewels Trilogy might be objectively weirder but it was because of an RP and therefore feels more reasonable to me.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I had forgotten about it until just now, but yes, actually. Including one that actually got reposted on AO3, which takes a particular kind of guts that's not the same as reposting on Wattpad or the like, imo. (I've also had fic scraped off AO3 and reposted on other sites.) The person took it down when I called them out on it.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I have been fortunate enough to have a number of fics translated into a few languages! I was curious which ones so I went and looked, and it looks like I've had fic translated into Russian, Chinese, and Japanese.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I've started co-writing a fic but never finished one.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? Might have to give this one to xuexiao, though there's a lot of room in my heart for many ships! that's just one that hit an incredible number of my favorite things squarely on the head several times, leaving me concussed and helpless. It's so much, you guys.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? There's a number of my MCU wips that I look at and am like "yeah what I have of this is good actually, too bad I'll almost certainly never finish it", among which is Dead Superheroes Walking, the fic about everyone who died in Infinity War being trapped inside the Soul Stone and having to work together to fix the ensnappening from the inside. I have about 3/4 of it written if not more and the remaining quarter will probably remain unfinished. It was Wanda POV and a lot about Wanda and Loki bonding.

another one is the one where Hela decides instead of fighting Odin to strategically back down and plan to overthrow him later, and therefore is around while Loki and Thor are growing up. I really liked what I had of this one, and really enjoyed writing Hela's POV, but again. don't think I'm going to end up finishing it.

I have a whole folder called "MCU Salvage" that's basically my MCU wips that I parsed out because I was like "these are pretty good actually, maybe someday I'll have the motivation to return to them", which is probably delusional but, well. one never knows.

16. What are your writing strengths? I think I'm pretty good at dialogue - I love to write characters having conversations, probably to a fault - and, when it comes to fanfiction, characterization.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Worldbuilding for sure is one. I hate it, I don't think I'm very good at it. also description - I feel like I lean heavily on dialogue in fic and tend to go light on descriptive language. this is probably partly because I'm not a very imagery-focused reader, so I don't think a lot about creating a "visual" with my writing, but also because I just don't like doing it as much as I like writing about internal thought processes and interpersonal verbal exchanges.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I almost certainly would not do it, as someone who is monolingual and has zero confidence in my ability to do it right in a way that wouldn't read absolutely awfully. The one exception to this is in Lymond fic, and that's because the canon did it first, so it is fully justifiable for me to have this guy spout off in five languages in one fic. Otherwise...not since I tried writing a fake Phantom of the Opera fic mocking bad Phantom of the Opera fics.

19. First fandom you wrote for? I always say Wheel of Time because that's the first fandom of my heart but technically I wrote a crack Harry Potter fic before I wrote for Wheel of Time. But in my heart it was Wheel of Time. That was certainly my first fandom in any meaningful sense of the word.

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written? This question is my nemesis. My favorite fic I've ever written changes at least once a month. I have a series for this on AO3 that I'm going to link to as a lazy answer to this question even though that's sort of 50 of my favorite fics, so sue me, I've written a lot of things over the years and I actually do like a fair number of them, even if you have to make me say so.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

35! Some of them are locked to attempt to minimise AI scraping.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

44,236 holy shit

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Currently, I’m pretty deeply embedded in the Sandman-verse. But I’ve also written an AC Odyssey fic recently.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

I’m skipping this one because I embedded so many links in this post and I don’t wanna do it anymore. 😂 And people can just filter by kudos on AO3 if they’re interested.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I respond EXTREMELY slowly, but I make every effort to reply to comments when I have the energy to spare. It means a lot to me when people take the time to tell me what they liked about my stories.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oooh. Good question. It’s either “pour the dirt into our bed” (Ranger’s Apprentice, referencing homophobia faced in a queerplatonic relationship) or “if you want voices in the dark, listen to mine” (Good Omens, after a temptation gone wrong.)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I write a fair amount of tender stories, so there are a lot of possible answers to this one! Potentially it’s “our place in the sun” (Sandman, Lucienne/Calliope domestic fluff) which is all about coming to rest and settling into love. Another option is “throw down that spade and dig up the garden” (Good Omens, Ineffable Husbands) which is about…pretty much the same thing, now that I think about it. 😂

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully not. I genuinely can’t understand why people leave hate comments on fics. Sure, there’s a lot of things I take issue with in certain fandoms, but I bitch about that stuff strictly IN MY OWN SPACE, I absolutely do not barge into other people’s spaces to do it. I never will and you can hold me to that.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I WANT TO. I’m working on it!! I actually have a smut prompt ask game queued up for next year, when I’ll have fewer writing obligations. As for what kind, I want to write so much femslash smut. There is devastatingly little in the Sandman fandom.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

OHOHOHO. I have written a Los Simuladores/Good Omens crossover and it is genuinely one of my favorite stories that I’ve ever written. “every morning the same big and little words all spelling out desire” is appropriately zany, hopefully sexy, and seasoned with a dash of angst to balance the flavors.

(Shout out to @jlemonster for writing such a glowing post about it, it makes me happy just remembering it.)

Another crossover I’m working on is Johanna Constantine/Mary Poppins. I PROMISE it will make sense when it’s written. …well, maybe. 😂

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes!!! As part of Fandom Trumps Hate this year I had two fics of mine wonderfully translated into Spanish by @yourneighborhoodneighbor and it was an amazing experience.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope. I don’t know if that would work with my writing habits, tbh. Maybe someday though, if the right idea and right person come along!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Oh GOD. Complicated question!! There are ships I’m currently enamored of, obviously, but who knows if they’ll stand the test of time? I know that Kaz/Inej (Six of Crows) and Irina/Jack (Alias) did something to my adolescent brain that may never be undone, but that’s the closest I can get to an answer to this question.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I’ve got a Good Omens Ineffable Wives AU inspired by Anne of Green Gables that is very dear to me, and has many aspects I’m extremely proud of, but I don’t know if I’ll ever finish it. My interest in Good Omens has flagged of late and unfortunately I don’t know if I’ll complete many of my WIPs for that fandom!

16. What are your writing strengths?

I like to think I have a good grasp on characters’ voices! Also, I think I write tactile and descriptive details well.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I have done it once!!! For the aforementioned Los Simus fic. It was so much fun, and a good challenge for me. The dialogue was in Spanish (with very valuable help from @thisisnotjuli) and I loved writing how the two characters spoke in somewhat differing dialects.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Oh, lord. Probably Harry Potter? By hand, in a notebook from the dollar store. I was probably about eight or nine.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

They’re my children. My babies. My beloved frogspawn. I can’t give a definite answer, but…two of the stories that I worried my lip over the most for dread of failing to do them justice, the ones I think I put the most heart and consideration and care into, are “it’s an old song (and we’re gonna sing it again)” (Sandman, Calliope & Dream + healing and rediscovery and intimacy and changed but no less important relationships) and “sister dear, bear me away” (Good Omens, a human AU about gender discovery).

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

14,232 at time of recording. I'm a short story girlie.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Currently, only BG3. Before this, I used to write for Destiny (and I can be tempted again if The Final Shape is any good/has some good Awoken food) and Overwatch (lol. lmao.) IDK why I gravitate to writing about videogames. I guess that video game writing is more "open-ended" and thus creates more nooks and crannies for me to get my fanfiction claws in?

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Unsurprisingly, they're Overwatch ones, given that it's the largest fandom I've written for. 1. Thaw (Mercy/Pharah, 159 words, Explicit) 2. Theobroma (Mercy/Pharah, 390 words, General Audiences) 3. Liebesträume (Mercy/Pharah, 1824 words, General Audiences) 4. Our Lady of Mercy (Mercy/Moira, 972 words, Explicit) 5. to pretend (Nocturne/DJ!Shadowheart, 225 words, Explicit) Kind of feels like exposing an old shame, to link this here, lol. But hey, stats are very silly -- they say more about the popularity of the pairing than about the quality of the work, in this case.

5. Do you respond to comments?

I try to! I am in the very awkward situation of someone posting comments on my destiny fics a long time after I published and I haven't responded but I think about responding a lot but the more time it passes the more awkward it is...

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Deliverance, arguably? Petra Venj gets Taken. So yeah. (The Savathûn tag is there because the fic was written back when we thought Savathûn had acquired the power to Take)

Liebesträume is, as per the notes, 100% high fructose fluff syrup.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

At time of recording, I haven't.

I do! The kind that doubles as character exploration. (although I have written pure self indulgent shit that I had to get out of my head somehow, like i rejoice in my sufferings for your sake)

I don't, at time of recording. There's a BG3/Destiny crossover that lives in my mind but haven't written anything for it (yet?) It's very self-indulgent.

I've been kicking around a thing about Petra Venj's exile in the City, but I struggle to make it a coherent, cohesive thing, instead of a bunch of Situations. Same for loss.pdf, tbh

I want to believe it's characterization. But I'm obviously biased.

Plotting. Plotting. Plotting.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

It's actually a huge pet peeve of mine lol at least when it comes to real-world languages. It's something that is often used to add some flavor to foreign characters ("No, mon cher, I expect you to die", said the Spy) in a way that doesn't match how multilingual people I know speak other languages! For example, when I'm talking in English I'm talking in English, when I'm talking in Spanish I'm talking in Spanish. I often forget how a word is said in one language but remember it in the other, or some grammar quirks from Spanish make their way into my English. I may be on a call with a friend and speaking in English while we play videogames, and I cuss in English in those cases -- unless we have been silent for a while, I have returned to thinking in Spanish, I'm startled when getting killed suddenly and I cuss in Spanish. Not to say it's 100% unheard of to hear examples like the Spy one above, it kind of makes me think of my Galician friends very intentionally dropping a carallo in a convo in Spanish to play the stereotype, lol

I'm pretty sure I have some Final Fantasy X-2 and Doctor Who fics in some long-abandoned hard drive at my parents' house...

What’s your total AO3 word count?

About 236,000 currently, but a lot of my HP fic was never transferred over from Fanfiction.net. I’ve definitely posted over a million words.

How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

Technically 3 because I wrote 1 Syd/David fic for Legion (FX).

My other 2 are my main obsessions - Harry Potter (Ron/Hermione) and The Handmaid’s Tale (June/Nick).

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

DRIVE, Mysterious Bruises, HOME, HAUNTED, Sixteen

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Yes, I try to reply to every one. I sometimes miss things for months (or years, yikes) at a time, but I’ll try to circle back eventually because I’m a little neurotic about it tbh.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

The Last Thing - this was my first June/Nick fic, and it is very short but ends bleak.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Pretty much every fic I write ends happy (The Last Thing is an exception).

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I started a Harry Potter / X-Files crossover where Mulder and Scully end up stranded in Scotland and stumble upon Hogwarts. They then enlist Harry, Ron and Hermione to help with an impending alien invasion, of course… but it quickly became way too complicated (obviously), and I never posted anything from it.

I also would maybe kinda count doing major references to other fandoms or fics as secret crossovers?

I’m working on one for Osblaine that’s a direct reference to my favorite fic of all time, The Furious Winter by CazQ, which is an X-Files fic originally.

And I have another in (very slow) progress for Osblaine called STAY that’s a big ol’ (smuttier) reference to Not As a Last Resort by Arabella, which is an incredible bed sharing fic for Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter... And I’ve just now discovered the fic is not on the original site because the whole site is no longer there. Just go ahead and kill me now...

Oh yes indeed - some pretty nasty comments in Harry Potter fandom.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Intrigued but have never done it. I would consult a friend who spoke the language rather than using a translator because, especially for dialogue, I feel you need to be pretty intimately familiar with casual speech patterns that would be very hard to nail without immersing in the culture.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The X-Files but under a different pen name that I shall never speak of again 🤗

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

7 Years, 6 Months, 4 Days in HP fandom and probably DRIVE in The Handmaid’s Tale fandom.

3. What fandoms do you write for? House of the Dragon (Daemyra) almost exclusively now; previously mainly Dragon Age: Inquisition and Horizon Zero Dawn, with several different single fic fandoms like Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Skyrim, and probably others I'm forgetting.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

I found some hate for you, just for show

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to! Sometimes I respond right away - other times it takes me a while to get to it. Tbh sometimes it's harder to think of a comment reply than it is to write the fic - especially those amazing long, thoughtful comments. I always worry nothing I can possibly respond will properly express how happy I am to receive them. But I truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to comment - nothing makes my day more than seeing that Ao3 comment email.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

It's got to be i've looked at clouds from both sides now - the ending is just purely hopeless angst. Even my necro fic where Daemon & Rhaenyra both die somehow has a less angsty ending.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

It might surprise people to learn that a lot of my fics actually do end happily, despite my deep, abiding love of angst. peak ends very fluffy and happily; and after some angst in the middle, better not touch (i want it too much) has a very happy ending.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not outright hate - sometimes I get comments I don't necessarily appreciate, but I've been pretty lucky so far I guess? Maybe I'm not writing fucked up enough stuff, idk.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. Whatever I'm in the mood for - which in the past couple of months has been cannibalism and necrophilia. So. But usually it's some flavor of Daemon being dominant and dirty-talking a lot, featuring my not-so-subtle hand/finger/ring kink and choking kink. I also really enjoy writing Sad Men Jerking Off.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Crossovers aren't usually my thing, although I did recently write a ridiculous HotD/Naked Attraction crossover: Naked Attraction: The Lost Episode.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Only once that I know of, but it was quickly taken down. It was literally a copy/paste of do you really feel alive without me mixed with the work of another Daemyra author.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, with my permission.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, although I definitely take a lot of inspiration from conversations I have with other writers in the fandom. I like to think we all mutually enable each other's ideas, with excellent results. And the #ghost 2 au that you might see pop up from my asks has definitely been a collaborative idea with a number of anons! Otherwise, my writing process is too chaotic to make co-writing really viable. I would end up being too stressed over annoying my co-writer with my disorganization.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Daemyra quickly took root in my brain and became my forever OTP. <3

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have confidence I'll finish all my HotD WIPs. I have an outstanding fic I wrote for The Magicians for a prompt event that is supposed to have a second chapter, but I don't know that I'll ever get around to it since all my fandom energy is spent on Daemyra these days.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I feel like I come up with some interesting premises and can push myself creatively pretty regularly. I feel like I'm good at adjusting my prose and narrative voice to suit the setting? Idk, I like my own dialogue and am not ashamed to admit I make myself laugh when writing a lot of it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Uhhh plotting lmao. I mostly write based on vibes. Also planning, outlining, posting with any sort of regular schedule, etc. Like I said earlier about my writing process - it's pure chaos.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I use High Valyrian phrases mixed into dialogue a lot, but otherwise I'm way too lazy to write in a language other than English because I'm nowhere close to fluent in any other language, and I don't want to embarrass myself with shitty online translations.

Harry Potter. Dramione was my original OTP. <3

2) what's your total AO3 word count?

277,051. It's not a ton, esp not compared to others, but it'll increase a lot over my next couple of series.

3) what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

in order: The Bond Between, oneshot, tcw, gen (ahsoka & obi-wan)

we'll hold each other soon (in the darkest of rooms), oneshot, kotor, cassus fett/mandalore the ultimate. important caveat - this fic got hit with that kudos bot right after it was posted, so though it's listed as my second highest fic, i have no way to gauge its real kudos count

i try to, yes! i've fallen a little behind for general chaotic life reasons, but assuming the comment isn't an outright hate comment, i will try to respond as much as possible.

5) what's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

i never actually got around to writing it, and i unpublished it a couple months ago because i knew i'd never finish it, but it was a lockwood & co. backstory fic for kipps. and it essentially ended with all of his friends and the girl he loved dying in various ways to ghosts; the final scene was him standing over the girl's grave.

6) what's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

uhhhhh i don't actually tend to write fics with happy endings? at least the traditional flavor of them. ultimately, it'll end up being start a war, but that is still in its very early stages, and to get a happy ending, it's got a lot of trauma for everyone to get through first.

7) do you write crossovers?

i... used to, with my own ocs, and sometimes i still write them in my head because it's fun to make my horrible ocs from different works meet each other. but in terms of actual writing i'd post, no, though i do love fusions; my biggest project to date is a swtor/kotor/hp fusion, and i have a swtor/mass effect fusion floating around with @revanchxst

8) have you ever received hate on a fic?

yes. usually i laugh because it never manages to be coherently thought-out, but occasionally it's just... someone being rude. then i just tend to move on.

9) do you write smut? if so, what kind?

oh god. fuck. yes, and it is almost universally intensely Loyalty Kink. there is always a Dynamic there, and for a weird amount of them there's an incredibly strong dom/sub dynamic, for others it's a loyalty kink. in one case it is. weird loyalty, an intense amount of dissociation, horrible decisions, blood magic, a mental bond, ill-advised ritual knives, and more dissociation. also internalized homophobia and weird amounts of dysphoria, for a cis character. and active withdrawal from what is essentially a magic addiction. i don't know how it fits in one doc either.

10) have you ever had a fic stolen?

nope!

11) have you ever had a fic translated?

not that i know of, no

12) have you ever co-written a fic before?

yes! several, actually, with @revanchxst, and we've got several in the works too.

13) what's your all time favorite ship?

oh god i can't pick one. frankly Scourge/Jedi Knight ends up being one of my absolute favorites for the angst potential, the loyalty, all of it. Exar Kun/Ulic Qel-Droma has given me terminal brainrot and they're never going to leave. Revalek is an old classic, they're so awful and i adore them. i am also immensely, immensely fond of Theon/Robb from asoiaf for incredibly horribly crunchy loyalty reasons. also the i should have been with him. where was i? i should have died with him kills me Every God Damned Time.

14) what's a WIP that you want to finish, but don't think you ever will?

anything from a fandom i'm no longer really part of tbh, which includes my lockwood & co stuff.

15) what are your writing strengths?

i like to think i'm good at putting a lot of emotion into darker stuff, and frankly i'm very fond of how i write Force/magic/whatever visions and powers. it's always been a favorite of mine.

16) what are your writing weaknesses?

dialogue. i hate dialogue so much. if it's not a big dramatic speech, it's awful. i hate having to write characters' reactions and movements in, and the whole thing always feels stiff and awful.

17) what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

it depends! i think that if you're doing more than a phrase or something that's very significant for some. idk, ritual or ceremony or something then it's better to simply indicate via italics or something else that the dialogue isn't in english (or whatever language the fic is in, but i write in english). but i love seeing bits of other languages thrown in there, be they real or conlangs, and i think a lot of readers also like little things like that, as long as they have an easy way to translate it!

18) what was the first fandom you wrote for?

uhhhh honestly i think it was Sherlock? that was certainly the first real fic i posted that i remember. naturally, it was about my oc, Sherlock's secret younger sister. i was like... 12

19) what's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet, but want to?

frankly, if i have any ideas, they get at least partially written immediately. so in my docs i basically have all the stuff i currently want to write for. however, i want to write more cassus/mandalore the ultimate and exar/ulic.

20) what's your favorite fic you've written?

start a war, without hesitation. i am in love with this fic and the characters, and the entire series is going to be incredibly fun to write. the hp au is a very, very close second, especially any parts with my favorite horrible rat bastard (not that many, but i love him).

Last book: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. Interesting read, lot's of commentary on rape culture and exploitation of female minors, very disturbing to me that people think it's romantic or lovely in any way. I honestly hate that it's title become synonymous with cp.

Last movie: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation because my coworker said it's a must-see for the holidays. It was okay I guess. Lots of boomer humor. I think the onky part that I genuinely enjoyed was special forces breaking into his house with "Here Comes Santa Clause" playing in the background lol

Last TV show: Santa Clarita Diet. I watched like, three episodes of the first season while working on embroidery. Her poor husband lol

Sweet/spicy/savory: savory for sure, good food with good seasonings and flavors is unbeatable

Relationship status: in one?? Steady dating? What's that called? Occupied? Idk

Last thing I googled: how to extract heme from blood, because someone on tiktok suggested that you could maybe use blood as ink if you removed the plasma and miced the red blood cells (and other solids tbh) into an ink medium so you still had the pigment but gave it some extra stability and I had to double check that that was scientifically a useless idea before telling them that (in a nicer way of course)

In case you're wondering, blood is a poor medium for ink writing because it clots, destablizes and fades over time, and sometimes even attracts bacterial and mild growth (ew). The cells would still do all of that even without the plasma, so you'd be better off just trying to dilute it in water and alcohol than trying to separate the blood or go through the lengthy chemical process of extracting heme.

Or you could just use oxblood ink like everyone else.

Current obsession: ive been playing a lot of State of Decay 2... Though the amount of time and thought I've spent on DC/batfam recently has also been somewhat concerning lol (like those WC/DC crossovers, man. They're all the same but I can'tget enough. Or Tim Drake causing chaos, that pathetic little psycho lol I need me more fics like The Drake's Spoiled Brat)

I do! No shade thrown to people who don’t / can’t but for me, that’s part of the “community” aspect of fanfic. I love hearing about people’s thoughts and feelings about things I’ve created. And I’ve made some of my best friends through fanfic interactions.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I... don’t really do angsty endings? XD But if I had to pick from any work it’s probably The Ballad of Crisis Core. That’s a poem, however, so I guess the angstiest fic would be Picking Up The Pieces, because it’s canon compliant and you know it’s a false hopeful ending.

7. Do you ever write crossovers?

I do! I’ve got... two now, I think! They’re fun.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Nothing horrific? But definite bullying.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I don’t know that anything I’ve done solo counts as smut. There’s some very tame M/M stuff later on in To Save the Future...

Yes, probably more than once honestly. It’s hard to keep track of these guys.

I have, on a couple occasions, and I’m hoping to do more.

12. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Oh man, you can’t do that to me. My ship feels are a revolving door, it’s not “all time” it’s “flavor of the day” - Ardyn (FFXV) & Genesis (FFVII) in a crossover parent-child ship is one of the newest ones. Vincent and Veld (both FFVII) as either a romantic ship or a brotp are also amazing. One of my oldest ships is Valenwind (Vincent / Cid from FFVII) and then I have a couple people to blame for Lazard/Reeve (FFVII) being such a dynamic ship so don’t make me pick.

13. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I... think it was DBZ? It was certainly the first I actually posted for.

14. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

How can I pick just one of my babies??? I love them for different reasons! In order of age:

To Be Human - an older favorite (can you believe it’s been four years since that was finished?) but a favorite because it was just... such an achievement? It was my first real long fic, and yeah, it took me three years but dangit it was done and I am so proud! And you can see me improve as a writer over the process. i learned so much. Would I rewrite it before continuing it? In a heartbeat. But I remain so proud of it.

Dog Whistle - this will be chronologically my second longfic, it’s WIP but getting closer to the end, and it was not supposed ot be this long damn it. But in this one, I took everything I’d learned in TBH and put it into practice. I really feel the quality of writing is just higher here?

And then, not individual “fics” but series -

In Spite of Destiny (currently posting To Save the Future) is a FFVII/FFXV crossover fixit I’m doing with @wandererriha and it owns my heart. It was another “what if?” that got out of hand and I just love it and the ships - platonic and romantic both - so dang much.

And then I just started posting Stand By Me (Let Us Defy Fate) with it’s first fic, To Live in Expectation, but I’ve been writing the series for the past three months and holy crap I knew I loved Ardyn but I didn’t realize I loved Somnus and Gilgamesh until now, not to mention Aera and also the toothrotting fluff that is Aera/Ardyn. It is also a shameless fix it that may not go where you think it’s going. But it’s a good thing, I promise.

- I try to respond to every comment, though I know I lose track of them on older fics. I post stories that I want to share with other people, and getting to talk to those people about my stories or just thank them for reading gives me warm fuzzies.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

- this is tough because I don’t tend to write angsty endings. I think probably ‘Love Him Protect Him’? which, fun fact, I wrote for an English class after we watched The Truman Show. you heard that right my loves, I submitted fanfic for a grade without an ounce of shame. I can’t remember what grade I got on it, it was so long ago, but it must have been at least a B+ because I still liked that teacher afterward. 😂

Do you write crossovers? If so what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

- I most certainly do. half my favorite shit I’ve written is off-the-wall crossovers. one that still seems to get kudos is ‘corrupting the youth of today’, which is iron man mcu/ouran high school host club.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

- yeah. not recently though now that I’m thinking about it? which might be because I stopped crossposting to FFN a while ago. it was mostly out of laziness, but I also feel like the comment culture there was starting to get pretty bad around when I stopped.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

- I do occasionally venture into the porn mines, it’s true. usually when I’m seized by an idea for just a really compelling interaction between two characters, and then I have to write a whole scene around it to justify it. or sometimes a whole fic, in the case of Sucker Punch. 😅

- not to my knowledge, knock on wood.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

- I think so? I’ve had people ask for permission and granted it, but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten confirmation or a link to the posted translation.

What’s your all time favorite ship?

- the ships, they come and go with the seasons, and I but wait for them to come in. aka don’t have one, unrepentant multishipper.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

- I started a couple of sequels to older fics of mine right after I originally posted them, and never really made headway on them. I’m no longer active in the Eureka or Psych fandoms so I doubt I’ll go back and finish them. I’m pretty happy with where I left the endings on the original one-shots so I’m fine with those sequels/timestamps being trunked.

What are your writing strengths?

- probably dialogue, humor, and flow of both.

What are your writing weaknesses?

- empty rooms and blank faces. why describe what a character looks like or where they are? the reader has an imagination, they can use it, right? also rarely finishing anything in the past, though I’m going to chalk that one up to the previously undiagnosed adhd.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

- if it’s in a language a writer is fluent/has background in, of course. if it’s natural for the characters, and the writer is actively seeking fluent beta readers/translators/feedback, I can see a place for it. if it’s just inserted as ‘flavor’ or to make a character seem ‘exotic’ or ‘worldly’ a la google translate, nah. other people’s cultures aren’t window dressing. I’ve seen that happen a few too many times in english-language fandoms for original works in other languages, so I’m a bit wary of it now.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

- probably teen titans? the original cartoon network animated show, never read the comics. and haven’t seen the new teen titans go or Titans.

What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

- usually whatever I wrote 6 months ago. long enough ago that I’m not super-critical of it anymore, but not so long ago I forgot about it lmao.

please elaborate on diary of a wimpy kid dork diaries cw crossover

GLADLY! see the thing is that the doawk books have been adapted to movies, and the dork diaries books i think are in the process of being adapted, but none of that matters because those adaptations are for middle schoolers, the CW’s crossover would be targeted at college kids who grew up with either or both books. and the combination of them is what gives it the flavor necessary to accomplish this! we all know greg, we’ve seen his shit, but boys don’t know about nikki and her insanity. this is how we accomplish feminism.

and obviously greg and nikki are both terrible people, hence the fact that they could do jeffbritta. they would be endgame of course but it’s also important that we establish some good gay baiting with greg and rowley (s1 jarchie) and nikki and mackenzie (s2 beronica). obviously the series’ token gays would be brandon, zoey, and rodrick. and obviously there would be a musical episode where they all do grease and we pretend that nikki and greg are anything like sandy and danny

if we were to come up with a dream cast right now, i’d campaign for molly gordon as nikki (i’ve only seen her in booksmart but i heard she was good in shiva baby and i like her and trust her) and griffin gluck as greg (he’s weird and skinny and carried american vandal what more do you need for greg). i’d also propose jenna ortega for nikki but that’s probably just my the babysitter killer queen stan bias. i also think that no one but devon bostick could be rodrick so he’s in the dream cast too. and i forget if it’s chloe or zoey that’s the dancer but whichever one is the dancer should be played by sofia wylie (because i love my little disney girl ok). and the rest of the cast i haven’t thought about but jack dylan grazer needs to fit in there somehow i just know it. i also wanna say julia butters as brianna but i think she’s too young for the timeline and tbh i only want her because her scenes in once upon a time in hollywood were my favorites <3

Nope, they’re all different demons! The demon that Parveen summoned is notoriously difficult to contact, so a bunch of teenagers wouldn’t have been able to do it. Likewise for Remy; you can only summon him once you have his True Name, and he’s already destroyed most references to that (sorry Patton).

Yes he can see ghosts/demons, and you’re right that the scars (or rather the deal with the demon which gave him his powers and scars) are what lead to him being able to do it. The red is just a general indicator of something supernatural/not of our Realm.

There’s no relation between Elliott and Patton. Elliott is the child of a seer and a psychic, Patton is the son of witches. They’re similar, but different. (Also you’re assuming that Roman hasn’t liked the Snake Man since high school, but considered him off-limits because he’s his brother’s best friend).

They’re both aware of each other’s secrets! Technically they’re both doing their best to protect everyone, but that doesn’t mean they agree with each other’s methods or bond over the shared responsibility. 

Patton is indeed a witch, and Dee is a regular human who happened to summon a demon one time. Patton thinks Dee is the occult equivalent of a satanist, which he disagrees with because dark magic is unnatural/dangerous in his eyes (making deals with demons only leads to trouble!), and would prefer Dee not endanger his friends. Dee doesn’t like Patton because of his perceived moral superiority, and finds the way he can be so secretive and two-faced creepy 

Regardless, they’re both sitting in glass houses and have more in common than they think.

He may have been more involved as a believer in the past, though that doesn’t mean he was ever super open about it. He was aware of how it would look like to outsiders (being genuinely skeptical at one point himself), so he wasn’t going to paint a target on his back by talking about ghosts and demons and things most people can’t see.

Of course, that didn’t stop people from stereotyping and making those sorts of assumptions about their friend group anyway, but no one besides them really knew about their secret-- not even Virgil.

The result of that would depend on the being. Ghosts can kinda appear on camera, although it’s very rare for them to appear as a full bodied apparition, which is why they usually only manifest in spirit orbs or light/shadows. Poltergeists are better since they’re able to interact with objects, but likewise since they can’t manifest into a physical form they can easily be brushed off. Demons and other miscellaneous creatures will straight up not appear if captured directly on film; you’ll simply get video glitches and distortions.  

So essentially, they may technically have found something already, but capturing evidence that’s also compelling is a lot more difficult than you’d think. I imagine there’s a good chance that anything legitimate wouldn’t get taken too seriously because of how easy it is to fake evidence nowadays.

It’s not a weak idea at it, it’s really cute! (though I may just have a soft spot for the Ladylike cast and crossovers). 

The only thing to note is that I’ve chosen not to include Thomas’ friends in this AU because I personally weird about writing fiction about real people? (I was on the fence about including character!Thomas for a while too, tbh). So, apologies to anyone who’s sent similar asks or wanted to see any of Thomas’ friends; they wont be around!

They might have gotten the opportunity to chat back when Remus came back to help shoot the Room 1046 video. It wouldn’t have been a complete reconciliation by any means (dealing with years of baggage in one sitting is Hard), but now Remus is aware that Dee is open to discuss things again at some point in the future, so progress!

Miguel GC Gamer Age of Extinction is the only film that entertains that I don't skip any parts of the movie and I like all the characters in this film and the transformers designs are great, dino bots are Awsome. They were just there to be bad. The Burden of Bordem For me I think this film would have worked much better if they just had Starscream as the main villain, and maybe Barricade hunting bumblebee and give them a more personal relation ship as enemies. How did they act around you once they realized they were head over heels? - Aah he was pretty good at hiding it, I didn’t know that he liked me until I confessed! He just has a caring personality in general (which is part of why I fell in love with him), and he was protective of me even back then (though he is even more now).

Technically we still live with my parents (they know about him) and tbh our room is very much more of my aesthetic than his (so very girly and pink),, we’re moving at the end of summer though so I plan on decorating the new room to be a mix of what we like!

A crossover event between the stage plays and musicals for Touken Ranbu was announced last night for later this year and Kitamura Ryo (the actor for Yagen in the first stage play and the live action movie) posted this picture!!
