Summary 1: Severus is forced into taking a holiday and is surprised when he has a nice time.

Summary 2: After finding Harry at the Hotel (read part 1 for details), Severus returns to Britain to clear out from Hogwarts, and then meets Harry in Paris for a holiday. The Order of the Phoenix tries to stop them, but they manage to have a nice time, regardless.

Tiny details I noticed in the Percy Jackson TV show--episode 4!

I guess this is a recurring Thing now. See the "tiny details in PJO tv" tag for my posts about the other episodes.

Annabeth's hair wrap has little sheep on it. Adorable.

Percy wakes up from his nightmare very quietly and calmly, with his sleeping bag still neat (letting us know he hasn't been tossing or turning at all).

If they're on a train passing through St. Louis, with the eventual goal of making it to LA, then our trio are currently riding the Texas Eagle-Sunset Limited train that goes from Chicago to San Antonio to LA. They should have ridden the Southwest Chief--it's cheaper, faster, and runs more frequently… It just doesn't stop in St. Louis. Also, I now want to know how they got from New Jersey to Chicago.

Ambrosia and nectar haven't gotten a mention yet (for those of you non-book readers, it's the food of the gods that in the books can have incredible healing powers for demigods). Interesting choice.

The actor for younger Percy appears to have brown eyes.

Grover and Annabeth have now watched two separate forbidden children insist on staying behind to fight a deadly monster, so the two of them could get to safety. In both cases, the forbidden child was about to die, but at the last second, their godly parent saved them.

Percy's flannel is almost the same color as the Mississippi river water.

The pieces of glass on Echidna's jacket are fairly small, and I had to rewind a couple times in order to see them properly. Grover is VERY observant.

EDIT because I forgot to put this detail in: Percy tells Annabeth that he's "only been a demigod since last Saturday." Which first of all implies that Percy sees himself as someone who BECAME a demigod rather than someone who just found out something that's been true about him all along.

Also wtf, Percy and Sally's trip to Montauk was LAST SATURDAY???? What a week this poor kid's had

I finally did it, I have used my savings to go on the backpacking adventure of my dreams! I hope you all enjoy the journey with me.

First stop Germany and its beautiful castles. I met the nicest guy in Germany, he had on a cute sweater with hearts all over it. He stood out, but in a lovely way. I wish I got his name, but it was so nice meeting such lovely people on my first week.

The possibilities are endless, I recall seeing posters for an Arcade that said its out of this world. Sounds super fun and another poster that was advertising a hunt, like a real life game quest. I think that one was in England so I might make my way there.

The train rides here are like nothing I have ever done, the people watching is one of my favorite parts. I wish all of you were here as well.

i always admired percy as a character but it only happens more and more so as i get older. i was 12 when i read the lightning thief for the first time and i do remember feeling bad for him and as though i would be out of my depth in the situation but overall a twelve year old in that situation didn’t seem too crazy (let’s blame it on desensitization as a result of my reading many ya/middle grade books with similar magical and world-altering premises at the time) but now i’m 20 and my sister is 12 and i’m just like dear god the fate of the world should never be in her hands

I think the reason people sit around pretending like youtube and twitch aren’t alt right cess pools is because they can’t be convinced to give those platforms up so they need to pretend they're good platforms. Yeah Kick has Adin Ross but Youtube platforms Ben Shapiro who has actively caused mass shooting with his bigoted videos. Youtube literally made the alt right pipeline Kick come out of. Yes Kick has slurs and Twitch invented the concept of the hate raid. Or even twitter it's run by a lunatic who wants to kill all trans people and these hoiler than though stans give their money to that. So it's ethical consumerism but well off Americans and Europeans decide the ethics 🤷‍♀️

Thank you so much that's very sweet!! I was so pissed off about it. I went FOUR YEARS without getting COVID and I was finally hit by the dodgeball like TEN DAYS before my trip. But I'm up to date on my vaccines and I felt mostly fine. Vaccines lose their efficacy after 6 months, my recent vaccine saved my ass, please check to see when your latest vaccine was.

Unfortunately I continued to be dead (Sims, writing obsessively again, preparing for my trip) and I will continue to be dead (I am going to be in Hawai'i for a week). I need to tweak some things about the chapter so I'm going to wait until I have time to do so before I post it. I try not to be on my computer a lot during my vacations, so it might take a minute.

Since I graduated college, I pretty much have a habit of feeling an insane need to flee once every three or four months, and I call up a friend who lives Wherever and take a trip to hang out with them (internet friends, 80% of the time - love you guys!). But I guess my Big Move six months ago satisfied my need for novelty, because I've only travelled once since then to visit my mother on Thanksgiving. Objectively feels weird to only take one trip in six months, so I'm happy that I'm taking two this month. Hawai'i is going to be extremely good because I have not Seen A Tree In The Wild for six months (it's either city trees or...corn......there's no fulfillment in corn....) and it's probably doing weird things to my psyche.

What the fuck do you do during a ten hour plane flight? Hopefully the Sims? What happens? Insane.
