Hello everybody Mr Burke here again wanting talk a film I watched today honestly not impressed with it I watched Black Water: Abyss. There are things about that are ok the direction fine and some of the sense are atmosphereic but really the characters to me sink this film sorry about the pun. With decisions that they do and make to and really underwritten. Its on Netflix now if you live in UK but honestly watch it when got nothing to do or just skip it I'm going give Black Water: Abyss a 5/10. And remember people if you go into a cave thats never been expoled please leave it alone cause don't want to see anything like this ever again hahaha. 🐊 Snap Snap 🐊 Rogue is an Australian independent Horror Film. The film was inspired by the true story of Sweetheart, a male Salwater Crocodile that attacked fishermen boats and tours in the late 1970s. However the premise and circumstances of this film is completely fiction, as Sweetheart was never reasonable for attacking people. Back in 2007 Rogue was one of 2 independent Australian productions that explored true story events about a large Crocodile preying on humans the 2nd was "Black Water". The premise shows an American travel journalist who joins a small group of tourists on a crocodile watching River cruise, however when venturing out too far into the outback by investigating a possible destress flare, they eventually stumble into a 25ft Crocodiles territory, who immediately crashes their boat, causing all of them to be marooned on a small tidal island. With the rising tide and a hungry Crocodile, in the water, the group must band together and work out how they will survive. As another Sunday night creature fest Rogue is quite enjoyable and entertaining, with good performances from all its cast and a surprising appearance from Sam Worthington in a pre/post Avatar performance. Rogue definitely trys to do something in its own right, and not just a crocodile rip-off from JAWS, but by adding the "based on a true story" it does become a little more engaging with the possibility that incidents like this could have happened and still can. The Big surprise however is the VFX and practical effects of the crocodile itself, with being a independent movie, and a low budget, the effects are done incredibly well and feels realistic in it's responses and movements. And its a fair treat to see a practical puppet in use, in a movie rather the over use of lame cgi. Overall Rogue is a quite thrilling and entertaining, that serves its purpose in being a joy ride, with having a good cast and strong performances from all.
