Dove - How do you express love?

Mmm in terms of love languages, I think my main ones are acts of service and physical touch. I absolutely love surprising people by doing things for them that I know will make them happy, especially little things randomly just cause I’m thinking about them, like showing up with an extra coffee or something like that. And I’m definitely a cuddler. I am 100% not good at expressing love with words and neither is anybody else in my family lmao...I think it’s probably a cultural thing, which is a whole other topic.

Record Player - Love songs or breakup songs?

Depends on my mood, but I am low-key a huge sucker for like 70s/80s love ballads don’t @ me. I do love a good Alanis Uninvited or Avril Complicated moment though...

Cupcake - Are you in love?

Not at the moment! I like yearn 80% of the time but then when presented with the actual possibility of getting to know someone want to melt into the ground and disappear so that’s fun!

1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?

My family worked in manor houses (only two generations back) and my grandad would take me around to the ones he used to be at, that and I’ve had an idea for a wip set during wwi I lost interest in so figure I’d fuse it with bly!!

5: What part was hardest to write?

I find writing from Dani’s perspective the hardest tbh!! That and anything that isn’t angst lmao

3: What’s your favorite line of narration?

‘Halloween, she learnt, was less of a holiday and more an excuse to drink themed cocktails, play the same playlists as the year before, and throw up unceremoniously under a lamppost at the end of the night. Humanity rarely changed as such.’
