Kasa! You were one of the first enstars rpers to come along and one of my most important enstar friends! I’ve told you before how incredibly intimidated by your writing and characterization I was by the start... and how many times i had to re-read knight’s stories just to try and be sure I was making a good job with Izumi. I still feel like you are an amazing person I need to give my 200% to at all times, so if I’m slow with replies...well you know why xD

In any case, I’m really glad we passed that stage and were able to talk. All thanks to Lionheart and Izuleo. Top ships bringing people together since always. You also tagged along through the drama of this year and I can’t ever express how grateful I am for you doing all this effort for us! You are the best of the best and I’m love you a whole lot.

It was just a typical Tuesday afternoon, and she had finished her small break early. She had been sneaking into the one of the third year classrooms to leave small things to someone she really admired. Chiaki Morisawa had always been someone that fascinated her, because he was always so energetic and happy. Plus she was pretty sure he was actually a superhero.

Aika tiptoed up the stairs, sneaking down the hall way with a small bag of chocolate she had made the previous night. The second year had wanted to talk to him for a while, but she was just…too shy and nervous to actually do anything about it. So she resorted to doing this sort of trick instead. The brunette would sneak inside, leave whatever she had made on his desk and sneak out before anyone saw her. And so far, she had been pretty successful, no one catching her leaving or entering.

Opening the door to the classroom, she swiftly made her way to the desk, placing the little bag of chocolate with another one of her notes from ‘A-chan’. Aika was almost positive he didn’t have any idea she was the one doing it, but she had always tried to cover her tracks…until now when she forgot to close the door. She backed away slowly, turning around, only to have her face turn as red as the heart on her unit jacket. He was right there, and he probably saw her. And she was absolutely frozen with no way of getting out of this or explaining it without it sounding weird. It was on reflex now, her hands beginning to move to sign language. ‘I had the intention to talk to you a long time ago but I get scared.' “Ah…h-hi Chiaki-senpai!”

"Heeeey fam!" Mazumi greeted, patting him on the back. They didn't know him personally, but they did know that he was a certain someone's object of affection... And as a responsible older sibling, it was their duty to scout out this man and make sure that he was a good fit for their little sister! As far as they knew, he wasn't anywhere near a delinquent, but... Still! Mazumi had to be diligent, and maybe help out a little in their own way.

BEFORE MY MUSE DISAPPEARED, THEY GAVE YOURS A SERIES OF ‘OPEN WHEN’ LETTERS. SEND A SYMBOL TO READ THEM. ||No longer Accepting||@mathgeekshugarl & @kingsoath SORRY FOR LATENESS! I DIDN’T SEE THIS! 

Shugarl and Leo had become friends by some odd circumstance that not even the Mathematician could understand. It irritated him to no end, but even he knew there were such mysteries that no one could hope to answer in life. Regardless of how they became friends, or what happened to make them become friends, they were friends. 

One of the select few that he could count on a hand if asked: ‘how many friends do you even have?’ 

All who knew Shugarl well, and even those who didn’t understood that Shugarl was what you could call awkward. Though the man could be brutally honest with his opinions, he was not so with his emotions. 

Farewells were also things that he struggled with. Before he’d disappeared, much like a cat who leaves home when they know their time has come, Shugarl left without a trace.

No… that wasn’t accurate to say. He left behind a few traces in the form of letters. A white flurry of snow was descending onto the ground that spurred something in Leo’s memory. A letter that fit this situation perfectly.

Dear Leo, 

I do not know how long it’s been since we’ve met by the time you are opening this letter. Given when I’ve written this and how long it took for winter to come, I could fathom a guess, but I wouldn’t dare do so. 

I fear that with your knack of losing things in the sea of ~inspiration~ that you may have long since forgotten the letters I’ve written for you, or you simply misplaced them. Who is to say. That is just my guess, but there is always a chance you could prove me wrong. I believe this is at the very leas a 75% probability that you could have forgotten and found this possibly years later. 

If i’m wrong, then I suppose even I can be wrong. Good job. 

Unless you chose to disregard the prompt, it is currently snowing outside. The snow is cold, pure, and beautiful. Though it is this way, it is easily corrupted and tainted by even the smallest speck of dirt. Once the snow gains it’s momentum to become a flurry does one see how relentlessly cruel the beautiful snow fall can be. 

For anyone who is ill-equipped to deal with the weather, they can fall ill or die. For the opposite, they may find some amusement in the snow. That is to say that I do hope that you are keeping yourself warm during the winter season. Don’t get yourself sick because you got so ~inspired~ that you forgot to put on a jacket. 

As cruel of a mistress the snow is, bringing things like death and peril in her wake, she also brings about change and renewal. It is but the circle of life to continuously die and be reborn in a similar but different state. That is how the world keeps it’s equilibrium. 

I often equate myself to the snow. The bitter coldness that reflects my icy heart, and the way that those ill-equipped to deal with me will only be met with pain once they freeze-burn their fingers. I do not know how you managed, but I suppose you were one of those well-equipped to deal with the winter. 

By the time i’m writing this letter, we have not known each other for far too long, but I appreciate your presence and company all the same– albeit there are times where you irritate me half to death. That is for another letter, i’m sure. 

Perhaps the thought of snow was poetic in a way, or it wasn’t. Whichever the case, I do hope that you are doing well now a days. When you enjoy the warmth of the indoors and stare out at the falling snow, don’t you feel a surge of inspiration? 

You could write a song about the scenery a falling snowflake sees. Their lives are so short-lived compared to many living things, but their lives are spent showing their beauty to any onlookers.

If I had to equate your music to something, it would be the snow. Short-lived and their travel time is brief, but the lasting impression they have on people is immeasurable. You should continue to use your gift and compose music for people to enjoy. 

Should you decide to compose a song, I would be happy to listen to it.

Unfortunately, even if Leo were to write up a song, Shugarl would not be around to hear it so soon. Much like a cat, he had known that his time was coming up, but he hadn’t the heart to tell anyone the truth so what he’d opted to do was leave behind a series of letters for people to read in his absence. 

He could not be with them physically but he could be in spirit. By the time Leo had opened this letter, Shugarl was likely no longer a part of the mortal living world. The man was likely already sleeping a deep slumber that none has ever been roused from. 

Perhaps Leo could compose a song and allow Shugarl to hear it when they meet again when it’s Leo’s turn to pass on next.

You’ve found one of the letters I’ve left for you in your locker. That’s wonderful! I’m sad to say that you’ve opened it because things seem to be going downhill. Have you been remembering to eat your three square meals a day? A superhero like you deserves that at the least (and no, just friend fries do not count). You’re responsible for putting smiles on everyone’s faces, you and I both actually. We can’t have you passing out or anything like that!

I know you won’t understand some expressions I say, but I want you to know that they are written from a genuine place within my heart. Deep within, I truly want the best for you. I know everything is rough when it keeps piling onto you, when life does not give you a break… But remember, it’s darkest before dawn.

Put yourself in the shoes of a hero. Everyone’s down, the bad guy won’t let up, it seems hopeless… But all the heroes in those shows save the day! They get their break, and everyone is happy.

I pray for nothing less for the Ryusei Red of my heart of Yumenosaki Academy. I believe everything will be alright, and you must as well!

Honestly tho, I have a lot of ideas for the sprites for different characters and I even made some doodles about it that I could share if you wanted to see them lol. I have honestly thought about this FAR TOO MUCH.

It honestly started bc I made Izumi a lawyer in the canon verse of the group, so I was lik,. LOL but Izumi as lawyer in AA. And things jUST ESCALATED OK?? And then i had like sprites for all the knights and valkyrie and undead and ideas about interactions. I even thought of making Kaoru the rival prosecutor bc he has a style that reminds me of Gavin from aa4.

But honestly, Sakuma brothers with bats flying around them? Arashi just putting on make-up and staring at his mirror during the trial.

Keito being the judge and getting the goddamn bow when ppl are being too noisy to calm them down. I even though if Kaoru was the lawyer Koga should be his assistant and make Leon bite him when he gets distracted lmao.

AJ knows about it. That’s how I got her ass into shipping IzuKao. Just tension between rival lawyer/prosecutors in ace attorney style lmao

This is probably going to sound weird, but I left you something. I...I didn’t want to just leave without leaving you anything, so I picked the only thing that was closest to me. Um...you’re going to find this letter attached to my cat plushie, Neo-chan.  He’s been with me for a really long time, but I want you to have him. You were always the sun, radiating positive energy wherever you went. Even when I wasn’t feeling the greatest or had a bad day, you were always there to give me one of those hugs that made everything else just...not matter. You’re the sunlight on a warm summer’s day that’s perfect for laying in the grass and watching the clouds go by.

Your smile lights up a room wherever you go, and I’ll never get over how much your eyes shine when you get excited about something. Another thing that she wasn't really looking forward in doing was idle chat. At least her senpai had brought up an interesting enough topic for them to talk about.

“Well…basically it's just super speed." That's pretty much the simplified description of it. "Though I can do more than just run really fast but…it's a bit hard explain" She scratches the back of her head sheepishly. Perhaps she could demonstrate it to him when she has the chance?

“Uwaah! Moricchi?!”

Taken by surprise by the hand that suddenly landed on his shoulder and squeezed without warning, accompanied by Chiaki’s boisterous call; Kaoru swiveled in his seat, eyes wide.

He’d been immersed in dark, depressing thoughts about his home life and the argument he’d had with his father that morning and had been on the verge of simply cutting class and hiding out in the Marine Life Clubroom until the end of the day. But of course Chikaki Morisawa; Ryusei Red and the defender of justice would have noticed his sadness. And of course Chiaki couldn’t let it pass him by. Even if his only warning was a loud call of ‘Hakaze, cheer up~!,’ before Chiaki scared him half to death.

Still it was worth it, really. Given a slight exasperated grin to the other, Kaoru tried to shake off the other’s hand without much success. Not that he was trying too hard to begin with.

“Moricchi, you can’t just cause a racket like that, you know~? Do you want both of us to get a lecture from Megane-kun?”

His smile softened, as did his voice.

“Thanks, though..”

These nights had started to become more frequent, but she didn’t mind. They would be out late walking around town, and eventually it would get a little too late for her to be walking by herself…well by her sister’s standards. She didn’t mind though, the dark freaked her out anyway.

She had made plans to stay over that night at his house, and while she usually just slept on the couch or he would offer to let her sleep in his bed instead, she usually just told him no. It was his bed after all, and she didn’t mind sleeping on the couch since she slept all curled up.

She was getting tired, and usually this would be when she waddled back to the couch. But…it was different this time. The single sentence was enough to make her face turn the familiar bright shade of red she usually wore when something new came up…like this thing right now. “Really? You…wouldn’t mind?”

She would bet that he was really comfy…and warm. And while the thought crossed her mind, she never brought it up, for obvious reasons. But if he was offering…she couldn’t just say no. He smiled at her, laughing a little. “Only if you want to of course!”

“I’d like that a lot, yeah.” The soft smile on her face was only getting wider as she crawled into bed, laying there next to him. It was this weird surreal feeling, but one she liked. Closing her eyes, she could feel the heat radiating off him. He really was a portable space heater. She’d remember that for winter.

There was a familiar voice speaking to him. Kanata was too sleepy to connect them together, but he did recognize the tone. It was Chiaki’s voice wasn’t it? Mmm, was he dreaming again? He didn’t remember falling asleep, but that seemed to be normal.

The voice was persistent though, calling his name, and eventually the teal haired young man could ignore it no longer and cracked his eyes open, blinking and squinting in the bright sunlight. Ah that’s right, he’d been drifting in the shallow water of the fountain at town hall again.

Oh voice. That had been calling him. He sat up and ran a hand over his face, pushing his bangs out of his face as he looked around before his gaze settled on a startlingly familiar figure, grinning at him from the edge of the fountain.

“Chi...aki...?”

“It’s... Chiaki...”
