Letter #1 | Tianna

I was just an hour away for my flight to land in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I was away from home, and from everything that kept on haunting me since the past 4 years.

I was away, from the burden that made me feel suffocated everyday, and perhaps it was not going to stop that easily.

“You are being a coward this time, that you are running away from everything all at once!” I repeated the words Henna said to me last week when I got my tickets ready.

But, I guess it didn’t matter anymore because there was none i would have stayed there for. There was neither any reason to live. So ,I just wanted to breathe, and feel less suffocated, just for a while...just a while!

Its been a week , since my 23rd birthday, and i am all set, this time, my year wont pass with books, exploring a new city, or just my work that simply. I joined Columbus coffee also called CrimsonCup Coffee since a few years. It has 4 branches in Bangladesh, and I had to shift in there, as one of the most hard working one. Didn’t knew that i really worked, because it was always fun being there with all those people. We together worked like a family, and it was a home. 

The flight landed, and I started this walk from the 2nd terminal. From all the way to Ohio ,I was in a place where roads could be discovered with google maps, not with the heart, but, I guess, my heart would respond soon too, and the streets would be as fun as it was before for me back in Ohio, when I had everything, everyone....when i had gammy with me.

I got my keys for the apartment I was going to live in, from Jewel , the quality manager who was in the head office in Bonani. The place was pretty messy, and the 2nd floor was going to be taken fully.

The address was of a place named Uttara, which was pretty far from Bonani and I had to work at the Uttara store, the biggest, the calmest.

I texted Katie, my best friend and neighbor since childhood, who was supposed to come right after a week I arrived.

“Hey, Katie,

I have reached here, Its all good. Just come soon, the apartment is pretty tough to be taken care of by me only. Come soon, I would need you. 

See you soon.

Tianna. “

And the journey begin.

But. It just happened in an imagination.

Didn’t even finish writing it, 

That’s just my story of imagination, and writing my first incomplete Story to be known as an author again.

Kinky Fuckery...

it was all in his smile! I was sitting right beside where my coffee was served, and he was lost in texts! Well, not the book-text-thingy, but the phone texts! As a 19 year old with just one book released, my knowledge about men was 0% acceptable to any of the Authors out there. My knowledge of romance in real life was- “When i will be meeting the love of my life, things will always be bright, days will be sunny, rains will be flawlessly romantic when we kiss, and nights will always be peaceful!”

Damn me!

These were never like that! Because I was just believing in things I watched in movies and read in books. To be honest, things were easy in my first book. I am no Shakespeare and I really don’t have the perfect words to actually explain any of my feelings. In real life, things are more dramatic and unreal-that its hard to believe because nothing is scripted like the movies!

I know this amazing writer who writes for one of the newspapers in town, Tahiya, she has amazing words to write-tough and strong. Convincing.She has this series of writing in her Instagram page where she writes about people and their passion they seek living a very simple life!

I saw this man arguing in the counter for not being able to find an empty chair in the smoking zone because all were occupied by the chic-teen-smokers! I took a sip of my Americano. It was almost 7 in the evening , and the crowd didn’t bother me anymore because I was lost gawking at the person with that kinky fuckery. His smile, every time he talked there was this smile. It was hard to imagine him all the time to write about him, specially when I knew nothing about him, really nothing, but his smile, was kind of a hope for getting words from. Fuck! I was gawking at him! Yes, I was, being helpless to write a fuckin’ book, to find a character for an unnamed story. I was cursing my Mr.Ex-Boyfriend, he inspired me to work on the thing i loved-WRITING! And pushed me to get my works published because according to him i was always the best!

It was after a few days of the Bengali New Year and we finished the recording of the music video, I started visiting the Dhanbmondi 27 store, the first store of CrimsonCup in Dhanmondi. And for the first time ever, while coming back home that day- I loved the crowd, the traffic didn’t really bother me, and just felt like- “This is it” when I didn’t know why and how?

The next day at work, my shift started at 2pm and ended at 8pm. There was this event going on where we had different new beans. The Celtic Gorg became my new favorite.  I was asked to come at the smoking zone by one of our bosses! The one who trained me- will always be my favorite! Mr.Boss asked me about my work, how is everything and all the other things. There was this guest-friend of mine Saleh, he was from the Middle East who was offered a cigarette by Mr.Boss, while he was smoking I managed to ask him if I could write about him?

Oh, by him I meant Mr. Kinky fuckery with a good smile. Mr.Boss said- “Sure, but you would have to start your day at 5 for him, because that when he wakes up.” I was nervous, even though things were different since the beginning, but I still wanted this to be very official! Mr.Boss called him immediately and PERMISSION GRANTED!

I was allowed to write about him- but- without falling in love! Now, that was hard-writing without falling in love with the character, or its face how was I suppose to it! But, a few nights, a few rains, and some cup of tea till 6 in the morning became my best friends for staring this whole new book I named now.

“Latte & Love...” which was suppose to be written with no love at all!

No Nitro

So Starbucks opened a new store near my work and got me hooked on Nitro Brew. Well the are always out or the machine is broken and it's only at this particular store. So I have been forced to go 3 miles out of my way to get Nitro elsewhere. Crimson Cup has amazing Nitro brews but there isn't one close to where I live so that makes it horrible on the weekends. What the hell?

Letter #2 | Jess

Hate the Rain!

So, as it rains

I see my shevy standing still in my yard, if it had a life, I would have felt useless just as I was feeling. Rain... Didn't seem to be romantic anymore. Working days turned into chilled days where I have more lattes than my customers would have brought for themselves.

I wondered if he thought about me after that day. I wondered if he remembered me even for a moment.

I wondered if he still loved the rain while I still hated it so much without his presence.

I was bad in pretending to feel him beside me, because it is kind of wanting it more, and when you can't have it, it kills you.

I always expected a call, even when I knew that he wouldn't ever. As I was not allowed to call him either, so I thought it's better to keep on walking and let him catch up

But, not everyone has this one person to love and that same one person to live with too.

Maybe he was a little bit of a writer for whom his story was meant to be like Catch 22 and not like the love stories I used to read for him.

I fell in love, in the most unexpected way, because I never expected anything from him, neither Love, because I never knew that if he was in Love with me. 

Sometimes, It felt like some kind of demon standing beside me to ruin it, but, on the next second, I couldn’t even stand as myself to just stop it from killing me,

Thus, I never said, 

And neither I wanted, or regretted!

But, now you know, and I know that it’s too late to say it all, 

But, I guess, this is it.

With all my love from the most rainiest place you have ever been- Seattle again.
