frank, is there some thing in the way people treat you that bothers you or that you would like to change? happy new year's btw!

I don't know, it really varies. This is partly because I've had such different life experiences — I'm a total freak in some ways, but very ordinary and boring in others, and these two things do not seem to go together.

One constant, though, is that I've always gotten kind of annoyed with all the "franken" jokes. It's kind of amusing to me how people always end up saying "frank, what are your hobbies? :)" when I tell them what I like.

hey im from brazil and i really agree abt the lgbt activism post. obvs coming from an incredibly lgbtphobic country fucking sucks but. being lgbt has never hampered my life like being poor has. & im still in the "socially acceptable" section of poor, meaning im quiet, white, english-speaking. even then, it's a major limit on the education im able to get, all my life prospects are measured by it not to mention how being poor & from a developing country rule my life. i live with a fucking dictatorship defensor in charge of the nation and ppl only bring up his name in international conversations when they're fellow latinos or to say that he's brazil's trump. as if trump hadn't funded and legitimized his whole campaign. like when people only bring up latin america's coups when they want to dunk on the us. sorry, I'm getting rambly. just wanted to let you know that i support your perspective on that.

its not just you either! a huge part of the world is living with the real and material consequences of united states and european imperialism, and i think the number one thing that americans, especially wealthy americans, should be concerned with is reparations to those people. we need to fix our goddamn mess. we need to end imperialism so that we can start to let the world and its people heal again.

i mean my friends kind of have a wide range of traits? like, one of my best friends from high school, very type a, Big Sister Energy, is the kind of of nerd who spends friday nights in the library bc she wants to succeed. my roommate, smart in her own way, but she’s an absolute Disaster, regularly destroys 60-count bags of pizza rolls within like 2 days, did not fill up her gas tank for a 2 hour drive she was taking this weekend and got stranded on the highway, etc. so, you know. if we get along! we get along! u feel me?

uh, today i got my roman history midterm grade (94! which is fair i think i mislabeled a source and i didn’t identify years as often as i could have) which bumped me up to an a in that course, which means the other class i’m on the precipice for an a that has a midterm this wednesday that she just told us was happening on sunday THANKS PROFESSOR but at least it’s open book and i have a project due thursday that i haven’t started that the professor apparently grades hardest of all of the projects, but i have an a in that class, but also if i focus on this other class i currently have a b- in bc the professor gives us daily quizzes that are the most specific things EVER, then i could, ostensibly, get straight a’s for the second semester in a row

school, basically. i’ve been thinking a lot about school.

it depends on the season, tbh. like, rn, bc it’s still pretty wintery where i am, i really miss cloudless blue sky and sunny days where i can laze outside. i like rainstorms that make you feel all cozy and make you wanna wrap up with a good book and some kind of warm beverage. i like it when it snows, at first, bc it looks so pretty coming down and it’s so quiet and everything looks like it’s been frosted over. i like brisk fall days that are just chilly enough that you can drink something warm and wear a cute sweater. 

sunshine 🌸: what do you do when you’re trying to relax and destress?

listen to music, scroll through tumblr, play the sims, eat something nice or drink tea. work out sometimes but i gotta be in the mood for that

hi! what would a female young and poor character give to her first girlfriend (and first crush)? she's pretty young and she loves flowers and studying their meanings, and she is going to give a present (which would be the flower and a necklace I still have to figure it out the colour etc) to her gf in her birthday. thanks already! ^-^

There are several options your character has, first of all, there’s, of course, the very classic red rose (love of course) with a side of baby’s breath (everlasting love) and maybe a bit of greenery too. An old hat, I know, and though roses can be a little pricey sometimes, your girl can’t go wrong with that. Especially if she buys it last minute she might want to fall back on it.

A rose with red and white stripes would also make a lovely combination as it would combine the meanings of both the use of colours and the stripes and she’d get unity (red and white) and warmth of heart (stripes) all in one go.

If it’s spring yellow tulips are also a great choice, as they stand for being hopelessly in love. There’s a chance the florist sells them in packs so she might get a little more for little money. Tulips are an ever common spring flower.

Another spring darling would be the ranunculus, it stands for a few lovely things: you are radiant with charms, your charms are resplendent, I am bedazzled by your charms. They come in all sorts of colours from white to pink to orange.

Also red chrysanthemums (I love), they can be very long lasting and are generally available all year round.

Alstromeria’s stand for devotion, if that works too. They come in many colours and are available the whole year.

And last but not least pinks! As a single they stand for pure love, clove pinks stand for true love and a double red pink stands for pure and ardent love.

To finish this up, of course, we can’t forget her favourite flower, given that it is within the price range, even better if she can get it in her favourite colour too. It’s a gesture that will speak of thoughtfulness and that she means enough to her to remember this, even if the flower might be utterly wrong in meaning. Although any flower in her crushes favourite colour could make a wonderful present.
