It was either going to be Cressida or Happen, but my boy just kept hitting though con saves. And I haven't actually properly drawn Cressida yet. Correction, I have, plenty, it's just this is what I decide as my first Cressida art.

I'm curious to see how far Ellen goes with portraying Cressida's evil nature. She's playing a very different character from Prudence, who was evil but affable, friendly even, when she wasn't burning down your village in honour of Cthulhu. Cressida is much more of a relatable, less cartoony, Real Life adjacent kind of evil. The faceless bastard who takes your home because they swindled you into taking on impossible amounts of debt. But she's also a lot of fun in that she doesn't care about doing the bad, ill-advised thing like throwing money at elder beings/fae with a tone of disrespect.

I imagine she would have a LOT of Baroque-style oil portraits at her home - though they definitely wouldn't include the new *cough* additions.

I'm playing with Clip Studio Paint to see if I enjoy the interface better. I am in love with the colour mixing palette. Also, what do we think about the rendering style? I'm playing around to see what feels like me.

Having just watched episode 5, I’m still very much on the autistic Happen train. I like to imagine his flat and quiet voice is part of autism (although I may be proved wrong and that’s just how his whole community talks lol) because struggling with volume and tone is a pretty common autistic thing. It might be a coincidence, but Luke looks around a lot when Happen is talking to others, including staring down at the table, which to me screams ‘Happen has eye contact issues’.

Also, I grinned when he lunged to catch Lug when he previously abandoned Willowfine, because it seems like he worries about Lug more in that situation - which to my brain, is because his crush continues. 😂🥰

Oh, and I love how Morven and Cressida are slowly forming into this bitchy team who have no time for anyone else’s shit. 😂 Miiight be shipping them a bit too.

Willowfine's braided headband is going to be a nightmare. Luckily, nobody's design is overly complicated, minimal armor, and Cressida has the most pattern work, so drawing everyone at nauseum will be a joy!

Also, until we get more Wyrdwood, this is my Happen. I have filled up a sketchbook trying to draw him, and in my brain, his freak dial is up to 11. I adore the little luck pervert, but I can't draw him not as a freak.

Cressida is being extremely contemplative of her wine, which in fairness, I am too. And by that I mean, I have to think before ordering something if I will actually like it or not, and even then it's like a 50/50 shot.
