Tbh while I like Fulgrim and Emperor's Children during Great Crusade timeline, post heresy chaos ECs do creep me out to fringes of hell.

Night Lords? I am absolutely fine amounts of gore with those guys. Thousand Sons? Cool. Love them as heretics. Death Guard? Kinda gross, but it's their full shtick and I get it. Emperor's Children? Ah hell nah. Not touching that bunch of Ed Gein cosplayers even with 5 meter stick... They scare me too much...

I very much recommend watching Epic the Musical on Youtube.

I know a little about it! Mostly through animatics. I've heard all of "The Horse and the Infant" from ROTTMNT but all I really recall of it is the infant section I heard more recently in a LMK one. I've also seen "Get in the Water", male and female version, but I heard the female version first for an animatic of Hama that's now on Youtube (First link is tumblr, second is youtube).

Everything I've heard so far is a bang-up job! I just keep forgetting to actually check it out.

For some reason this song title reminds me of The Man Who Fell To Earth in a way

Like partially it's because of the word 'subterranean' since Bowie's track Subterraneans from Low was initially written when he tried to do the soundtrack for tmwfte and other than that it's just the feeling of the song ig? I know it's not what it's really about, that was just my first association, it is really beautiful though (me and my piano teacher went on a tangent about Radiohead today so that's what I've been listening to all evening lol)

#tbh I've kinda been hesitant to listen to them before because I was just really annoyed by creep #and I found other of their more famous songs like karma police or high and dry alright but not too interesting harmonically #but recently I finally gave in and listened to kid a and it was so beautiful and weird #definitely a fan of the way they mix acoustic and electronic sounds #and the melodies!!!#I had to get used to thom yorke's voice for a bit but now that I listen to it I do like it #I love how our piano lesson conversations evolve because we were just looking at a strange satie piece #and then it reminded my teacher of everything in its right place #so of course we talked about radiohead #and he told me how it was the band that got him out of his four-year-long jazz hyperfixation #and then later we talked a bit about music studies which evolved into a conversation about math and the point of it #because he took calculus for a year as a second course when he was studying jazz #my piano teacher is the best really #radiohead #the man who fell to earth #tmwfte #david bowie #Spotify

really weird thing ive noticed lately re: hermits getting critiqued for stuff theyve said or done is that as soon as someone holds a shit opinion (even if it's just them being stupid, or a centrist, or saying a bad word without knowing what it means, or whatever) people immediately seem to flock to the 'this guy should die' 'kys' 'why are we giving this person a platform' rhetoric and like. that's not how meaningful change is made?

like, yeah, if one of my beloved CCs posted a tweet or video tomorrow about how much they hate gay people, or believe in conservative ideals, or they just said a bunch of slurs or whatever (these are hyperbolic examples obviously) then yeah, fuck them, they should go rot. but like, having some dumb takes, or saying bad things in the past, doesn't = evil terrible person...

idk, i feel like we can critique content creators without getting so insane about it. like, shit, there are things some of my favourites do that i don't like, but theyre not even really worth bringing up tbh. unless its something actually important, i feel like it just creates more drama out of nothing and all these assholes come crawling out of the woodwork to tell everyone how much they hate that creator. or find their content boring anyway so clearly they have no real merit to anyone.
