Being at home so long has been wearing, to say the least. Thanks to so many creative people out there that continue to inspire and flood my feed with amazing and creative content like never before. One person in particular was @erinoutdoors who definitely was my inspiration here. Trying to combine my love for air travel and San Francisco. I created this with a 4D puzzle I got to make up the skyline, a picture I had with a sunset for the backdrop and to have a distant faded city as well and a mini @alaskaair toy plane to create my scene with my favorite airline. (Can’t wait to travel again, I miss it) Definitely need to keep experimenting with this at home studio work, but figured I’d share this one to get it started! Our Neighbors series grew out of the necessity to remain active and creative in uncertain times, and finding creativity close to home. Most of my neighbors are able to work from home in one capacity or another. For some, the adjustment was easier than others. I think we all agree that pets are definitely getting the upper hand in all of this with all the extra time most people are spending at home. Social distancing has definitely changed the dynamics of life as we knew it. #homeresidency .... that’s my mantra ..... residencies are always about time, space, and lack of distractions (now there are no social distraction just general anxiety- so that is a hard trick the mind)......decided to make some flowers and think of growth, color, and life ❤️my home studio has windows so that’s a lovely blessing in a small space. Lucky to have set it up this winter for home work- silver lining. And my install finished a week ago on LI. Feeling grateful and lucky, as I realized when writing this morning. Yoga and meditation helped a lot today to be productive- yesterday did no physical/mental exercise and well it left me blah. If I can only remember that EVERY day. That’s always a challenge for me@but seems even more important now.
