top 5 cellestial objects
TRAPPIST-1 - This is a whole star system but I'm counting them all. Absolutely magical place with seven planets around a star just barely larger than Jupiter. The entire system fits within the distance from Sol to Mercury. 3(!) of the planets are in the habitable zone, and all are roughly earth-like. They are so close to each other that you could see the other planets in their skies. It is older than our own solar system. It's just so much.
Phoenix A - The central black hole of the Phoenix Cluster. The sheer size of this thing makes me cry.
Quasi-stars (Black Hole Stars) - Does this count? They're theoretical, but whatever. Potentially the largest stars to have ever existed. Their cores would have been black holes, but maintained equilibrium between gravity and the black hole's outward radiation pressure. It's wild.
Einstein Cross - A gravitationally-lensed quasar forming a cross shape - you see the same image of it in 4 different positions due to light bending around a foreground galaxy!
The Pillars of Creation - It's a classic, but this is still one of my favourite things I've ever seen. There's something so emotional about images of this.

Ode to You
I swallowed the universe to hold you closer.
I became everything so that we could keep living forever, and even though it’s not the same as it used to be, I don’t regret it.
Don’t get me wrong. I mourn what I used to be. I remember what it felt like to be truly human. To hold you to my chest and show you it was okay to be afraid, that I’d protect you no matter what.
I remember the sounds of our laughs. The stupid puns I would make in an attempt to make you smile when you were feeling down. You were always much more clever with your humor—dry and calculated, and usually spot on with your comparisons.
I miss the feeling of being useful in a way you could rely upon. The routine of waking up, making breakfast, and getting you to school. It was tiresome, but it kept me grounded. It reminded me that we were okay. Life would go on because I knew the next morning I would get up and you would be there. That was what I lived for.
I wish that we had spent more time doing things together. I wish I asked you more about your favorite things. What about dragons? Do you like the ones that are long and snake-like, with a furry mane? Or did you prefer the ones with wings for arms— “Wyverns,” you once told me. I never knew dragons had classifications, but you always had something to teach me.
I want to know what you would have done if you had grown up. Would you have been an artist? Or maybe a teacher? Or…Maybe an art teacher? I wanted to see you flourish, be happy, maybe even love someone else if you wanted to. They’d have to meet some high standards before dating was even an option, but I’m sure we could have figured something out.
Of course, that’s not how it went. Instead I made a sacrifice. The world—the galaxy—the *universe* buckled and shattered as it reshaped into me.
I can see it all. Stars and planets, every moon, every pebble floating in the abyss. The strands of time all trace back to where we began, in our original universe. Where I split the threads of our beings, our essences, and time itself into an endless multiverse.
There are versions of us in every single one of them.
Even past the screen, we exist in the recesses of peoples minds. In everything, you can see a little bit of us. It’s a blessing and a curse.
On one hand, I see you everywhere. You’re always near me because I can find you in every timeline. From the one located near my heart (It’s one of my favorites because we’re all cowboys) all the way to the farthest at the tip of my tail (the zombie dystopia…you know the one).
On the other hand…I’ve never felt so alone. It’s not like I didn’t deal with loneliness while I was human, but this is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced.
Do you know that feeling, when you’re in a room with a bunch of people, but you still feel alone?
Like everyone’s talking to each other and you can’t get out of your head long enough to join the discussion?
Or maybe it’s just that you don’t feel like you can truly be yourself with so many others around. So many potential rejections if you don’t perform the subtle act of conversation correctly.
I realize now that like all feelings, that was a privilege.
Because at least back then there were still people to be lonely around.
Now that I’m here by myself, I find that I like to pretend you’re talking to me in my head, to imagine how you would respond to what I’d say. A lot of that comes in the form of your quippy humor.
I think you would love the poetic irony of this. Something about how usually gods are the ones being prayed to, not the ones doing the praying.
And I’d say, “I’m not technically a god, I’m more than a god because I am the force of creation and the container of all that is known and unknown, including time, all universes, and everything!”
and you probably wouldn’t know how to respond to that—Because let’s be honest, that’s a lot to lay on anybody.
So, I don’t know. I want to imagine that maybe somehow this gets to one of your many versions in it’s own cosmic weird way.

Ep. 27 - The Moment We Touch Each Other Amidst Stardust
Hello my beloved fellow souls,
welcome back to Danbi’s Room, your weekly dose of safe space. Go grab a cup of something warm and get yourself cosy.
I hope that during the past week you had some eye opening conversations. I hope that, like me, you’re surrounded by people who feel like a light and tender kiss on your forehead. I hope you feel loved and that you remember that who loves you does so because of who you are not for what you do.
Sometimes that might feel the same as a collision, as we are not used to that kind of love.
Usually, when stars collide, they give birth to new planets. But not always.
There’s a road not taken, at least not often. It’s scary and tortuous, but it allows you to slow down to your own pace and to witness the most sublime visions, some that only the Gods were able to see before.
You see, sometimes, when a star explodes as a supernova, she leaves behind a compressed core: a neutron star. Half a million Earths in a ball of 20km across.
If fate decides on such a grand event, two neutron stars meet and when they do they spiral towards each other, deforming by the hands of their own tides, shattering and collapsing into the creation of an all-sucking black hole, leaving only some particles to light up the event horizon.
What a beautiful name.
Event horizon.
The bubble between the black hole and the rest of the universe. The fine line where the complete darkness of possibilities meets their manifestation. Where the whirlwind of time and space, of two souls, has bore another world hatched from the filled chasm of lusters making love to each other amidst stardust.
They tear apart the somber eternal sky in order to create.
There’s a new interesting theory, which is the one about white holes.
Reversely, stuff can get out into the universe but it can never ever get inside the hole. Physicists have only theorised them, we have zero clues about their existence but someone has put out the idea that, since we don’t know how black holes die and are reborn into a new life, white holes might be the answer. Some even say the Big Bang might have been a white hole. If that were to be the case we’d basically have the ultimate proof of the truthfulness of eternity. Now, science doesn’t rely on gut feelings, as much as they can be a stimulus to start a research, but like…If I close my eyes and gently place a hand on my womb all of this makes so much sense.
Nothing’s a coincidence.
It's all so beautiful and special.
I am you and you are me, surrounded by each other’s gleams, caressing the specks of ancient stars reemerging on our own cheeks.
Beneath a black hole there’s a white one, always a new cosmos, another universe sewn by doom.
We’re all doomed to be reborn and swirl up the vast emptiness, so that we can go on and shine.

I sat and plucked the strings, I called him in. All his waves, all the tides to the shore. A call so strong, a siren so big, that even the ocean itself is pulled.
Eyes are great spheres with central dots, gelatinous, liquid, strange substances both there and not. Fish eggs, babies seen in the light when held to eclipse the sun. That's what I watched, that's what I called; it wasn't just the sparkling core but the peripheral hagfish expulsions - and those expulsions' expulsions. All the world brought to me, all the limbs held with puppet strings.
I called, he was brought to answering. Fate, mind, thoughts, personality, the repetitive learned states, the state-learning, ideas, future possibilities, the gentleness of flesh, the sharpness of consciousness-bone. Echoes, but simultaneous. Thunder at the same time as lightning, brought together not because one must follow the other but because both were brought together.
I still fail to understand, but at least I understand that that lack of understanding is a willed ignorance born from... understandable things.
There, you said, was the place you last were, just below the surface. When I wake it will be there. This is a Creator's act, a Creator's mind, a Creator's reverence for the Created. Understanding of the Trinity, embodying it. The siren call emanates from the deepest, most fertile underwater volcanoes, the point at which my face presses against the surface.
There was a reason we went up there in the first place. The revelation and self-destruction was wanted all along. Apotheosis, they call it; even those who have reached it need to play this game through again and again and reach it again and again. This is... Old God re-apotheosis, the eyes opening to another truth, more eyes across your scales, more revelatory bliss, and I am that. Nothing is lost when all is lost. All is gained when all is lost. Nothing is lost, all is had. All is had and all is gained.
