What if during one of the Batboys or girl (can't leave out Steph) Robin runs (Not Damian since he is current Robin) they accidently or rather somehow gets married to Phantom (he can be a Ghost Prince or young/new Ancient or just very powerful but doesn't know any of this just yet. I leave it open ended) during a mission they somehow crossed pass on.

Like Danny was on a mission for a ghost friend and at the time Robin was doing a solo mission or maybe just with their team (like Dick was with the Titans, Jason might had gotten into a fight with Bruce went off on his own, Tim was with YJ, Steph was doing solo stuff, etc etc)

Point is, somehow, someway they are married due to reasons/magic.

And it can't be undone. So they gotta accept it. (And if anything actually blossoms, friendship/romance from the union it might as well be)

And they take the benefits from the marriage btw. And keep it a secret cause why not.

They are discovered however when Damian, the current Robin is taken by a cult and told he was going to be sacrificed due to ancient texts stating a powerful eldritch entity can be summoned by the call of its Robin or something like that.

They think they gotta sacrifice Robin to bring the entity into the world.

Meanwhile the batboy/girl who is married to said eldritch entity scrambles to find Danny's phone number they hid in their contacts.

In canon, a kwami's power must be used through a human wielding a miraculous, otherwise it'll have unforeseen consequences. So, in your AU, does Imago stealing Marinette's agonies cause any sort of trouble?

honestly the biggest unforeseen consequence is that this dude is around and being himself

no but for real, there should be a hypermassive consequence for a kwami unfettered peeking their head in, but there's not because of shit we'll get into later.

just consider it like this for the time being: now that Marinette is a sage and is capable of communing with the gods, she as a living being can be used as that intermediate conduit for power instead of the miraculous gems. If it was Tikki, for example, using her power raw with sage!Marinette, Mari would be able to access the power of creation or be swayed by it - however, it would put a massive strain on her, as she's not a miraculous but still capable of acting as that pipeline.

The reason Marinette has no ill effects from Imago, however, is because Imago is playing with a catch 22. Their purpose was to take agony away from Marinette, so even the exhaustion of accessing the unfettered power of a god was something he stole from her, so it seems like zero consequences have been had. In truth Imago is now SO tired holy moly and they DO NOT LIKE IT LMAO

i’m gonna attempt to sound cohesive be we all know mephone likes to keep the game under his control (or. well. used to)

but god . dude it runs so deep . like fucking obviously it’s because of cobs we fucking KNOW it’s cause of the damn corn !!

but what i mean by it “runs deep” is that it isn’t that he wants complete control of the game as in control of his contestants— but also maintain control of the perception of himself as the head, the host.

whenever he feels as if he’s not listened to, or told anything that he perceives is threatening his role as “host,” he lashes out (or makes a snarky comment)

obviously not all of it is necessarily malicious, doesn’t make it right for the contestant’s sake but you can still tell this clearly is a defense mechanism out of fear of things getting out of his control

in this scene (when he fires toilet AUGHH) there are gaps in his memory he cannot see, a vulnerability. and unfortunately connected the dots wrong and fired toilet in a fit of fear and anger.

i also think this fear of a lack of control is also why he left to make season 3 (and i mean. no shit) he realized that cobs had been in control of everything he’d done up to that point and then ran away to make something truly his. (“…an escape from an escape…” — walkie talkie)

and of course i have to mention the finale. i can’t not— it doesn’t completely tie the whole arc into a bow, there’s still healing needed

but it is a HUGE step to take this escape, this rebellion, something you fought so hard to keep control over and give it up. let it go

I was recently thinking about how Pat, like the other ghosts, didn't want Kitty to talk about her sister and realize Eleanor's cruelty towards her and thought that was a little odd given how he encouraged Mary to talk about her death and how strongly he pushes others sharing things, like maybe the reason he takes this stance about Kitty is because of his revelation about Carol and Morris and he doesn't want Kitty to feel the way he did? And then I remember how he handled comforting Kitty after Mary moved on and I'm like Oh he had just been Like That anyways
