Jimin, dude, man, bro, wtf? What in actual goddamn fuck???

Listen, there like 3 Jimin solo songs I like and I am not a big fan of some of his vocal choices but let me tell you I was really hyped and hooked when the teasers came out. The drama, war anthem-ness, the grandeur of everything, I liked it all. So I was quite disappointed when the news of him rapping came out because I've heard him rap before and it was bad, and I especially was reluctant to watch the whole MV after I heard a snippet of it on my tl (the stylistically autotuned rap part, yeah). I was afraid to be disappointed after such great teasers.

despite my fears I finally watched the MV... fuck... WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK PARK JIMIN??? It's so damn good! Even the rap part??? I LOVED it. Separately it doesn't sound very nice but combined and mixed it somehow works well. And his stylistic vocal choices, the way he changes his voice all the time, it's amazing, it keeps you hooked and anticipating what comes next, it keeps surprising you, even shocked at some point. I haven't been a fan of bts songs since the fake love era (even black swan is not IT for me, it's really good but not THAT great) so it says a lot. this one is easily one of my faves EVER in their discography.

The song is a statement. A grand opening. Empowering.

BTW, the song is totally a type of song that you would play in your car while driving around with your friends and singing-shouting along. Wow, just wow.

Ask 2: Opinions on set me free pt. 2 seem to be divided in some circles 👀👀👀 ofc because of the vocal processingz that’s a common complaint for so many years already lol. I mean Pdogg is the main producer of the album so idk what they expected… personally i love the song and i think the vocal processing works but i think i can understand some people have different tastes and expectations… at the end of that day it was a choice consciously chosen by jimin and his producers. It’s there for a reason imo. I’m happy though that jimin really tried something different!!!!! So many people were expecting a ballad for this title instead we got a banger lol… and like you said Yoongi’s style is obvious even when he doesnt have a hand in making it directly… now i’m so curious what like crazy will sound like!!!! Posting these two asks now because my inbox is already getting out of control and between getting zero sleep and a flight I've got to catch in exactly 73 minutes, I'd rather briefly get out some thoughts now, regardless of if they're coherent or not, because I don't know when next I'll have time.

I don't think I'll ever write a full review for this song, because there's a lot about it I don't want to talk about, a lot I don't want to share and would rather keep to myself.

That said,

Everything about Set Me Free Pt. 2 is right up my alley and objectively brilliant. Every single thing about it: the melody, the autotune, the chants, the rap, the fact the whole thing plays out in the same prison, the way Jimin uses his body as a canvas for inscriptions that only enhance his storytelling, the performance.

I have nothing to say to anyone who doesn't like this or that about it. Rapper Jimin was in my wishlist for PJM1 so... and I'm a hiphop head who listens to Travis Scott-type autotune at least a couple times a day. Plus I've got Yoongi, that nasty, autotune-loving, foul-mouthed cat as my bias. Joon and Hobi aren't that much nicer either. Anybody reading this to hear me say something critical about this song should wake up and smell the matcha.

Some things I want to gush about:

First of all, the instrumentals. PDogg went stuuuuuuuuuuuupid on this track goddamn.

This song is pure trap. An orchestral, haunting trap anthem is what Set Me Free Pt. 2 is.

It is so sick. So maddening in how good it is. No wonder he was so excited about Jimin ending k-pop in 2023, the song he produced is easily the best produced Korean song so far and believe me when I tell you that is really saying something, because the competition this year has been stiff.

The Vocals

Jimin's voice is the most emotive in BTS. That's one reason I love it. Another reason is because nobody's vocals in BTS, in k-pop, fuck, in all of Korea, drips as much sauce as Park Jimin's. I've said before, Jimin sounds inhuman almost, I describe his voice as serrated steel coated in honey and wrapped in silk because it sounds distinctly metallic, but can be oddly soothing. But with Jimin, there's a tone he takes sometimes that has this undercurrent of nasty, of unapologetic vulgarity, and in Set Me Free Pt. 2, he uses autotune to amplify it to brain-piercing perfection.

PDogg brilliantly uses autotune to aid Jimin in sending a message.

The shrillest, most distorted we hear Jimin is when he raps after the first chorus, and that's by design. The use of autotune in this song is intentional, and we can see this because every time it ratchets up, Jimin is being crude and uninhibited - as though it's a second voice, an alter-ego, or Jimin himself speaking the deepest truest thoughts he holds, pushing them to the surface after suppressing them for nine years.

PDogg has used this sort of autotune on Jimin's voice before, in the second chorus of Black Swan (timestamp: 2:24 - 2:50)

It's hidden in the backing vocals in Black Swan but felt in full cathartic force in SMF pt 2. And it feels incredible.

The Message/Lyrics

This is the part I don't want to write about because I'd rather keep my thoughts to myself. Not because I have special insight or think I've discovered something no one else sees or whatever, but because it's the only thing about this song that stayed within my expectations of who I think Jimin is. Plus I'm certain various interpretations will be offered by many other bloggers, so I'm okay sitting this one out.

I'm not sure how much I agree with this take but one thing I totally agree with is that armys focus is on all the wrong things and I think it's because they genuinely don't like most of the music bts releases that much anymore. They love the old beats like mic drop or black swan or fake love or hyyh era but among the new stuff? That's why face era, short and terrible as it was, in some ways totally reinvigorated armys for a short while because they were totally into the music again. Now they're back to having to praise MVs and song lengths and visuals because nobody really likes the new songs or feels like streaming them 20-40 times a day because they're tired after the fifth listen.

The thing that keeps them armys is because they like the guys personalities and relationships. Even when Namjoon or someone releases good songs, he's doing it ways they don't like. They want that classic bts sound back and they just feel obliged to support their music because they like them. Also maybe not being able to focus on them as artists is why a lot of them just fall into shipping or some weird parasocial loop? Or spend all their time focusing on their bodies and their looks or spend way too much time on things like their idol or military friends or fighting with other fandoms. That's the stuff that gives them the serotonin boost nowadays. Streaming for them is a job because trust they do not wanna keep listening to those songs over and over again nor are they interested in discussing them after the first two days of release

No bc you can definitely tell when armys like a song. You constantly see hit tweets about like crazy and closer by rm bc those were GOOD songs and armys truly liked them. You never see them talking about layover or golden music wise bc one was boring and the other was a compliation of jb rejects. They don't talk about jin outside of him being free soon, yoongi outside of him being IA and jhope outside of lollapalooza ☠️.

Ok, like jk says: lets get it! Right, I do understand people feeling sad about jimin and face era. It was awful how sabotaged he was, and i still dont get what really happened and i'm mad to whatever or whoever is responsible for it. But i'm seeing so many people doubting the veracity in jungkookie's success with seven and i'm hating it. I dont think the song is getting payola, nor playlists by paying for it and neither ads on youtube. First, the song was sent to radios, but just a few of them r playing it, one of them being a guy who loves to plays "k-pop" songs. If there was payola, it would be playing everywhere all the time already. The playlist thing: just like "like crazy eng. ver", seven entered the Today's Top Hits playlist. But at #23 place. I just saw a tweet by a guy talking about this: https://twitter.com/cantorpedia/status/1680258574688088066?s=20. We know that there's some shady thing happening in this playlist for a while, and if seven have deals to get this high debut numbers, it would had debuted at the top in the playlist, even in the cover (it may go up next week, because there is supposed to be some internal logic that the more a song receives streams IN the playlist, the more it rises). Also, seven had a huge filtering in spotify, just like all BTS' songs, which also shows that they r not making deals. Now, about Youtube ads... i saw a person posting a ss about seeing an ad of the song, but apparently is fake.

Seven is doing AWESOME numbers because: its a english catchy song, with a cute mv, sang by THEE Jeon Jungkook. Im not joking, seven is really a gp success.. yesterday i saw 3 people from my daily life and inner circle talking about loving the song. My sister, who is not an army, said that she listened to the song all day while i was not home. Gp is loving it. So they did with butter (which is a eng song too), but Seven has a differential: the clean and explict version r being counted combined. Plus, seven is doing awesome everywhere, even in korean charts.

If there was something shady going on, i dont think they would make more than 1 version for the song, even on youtube (there is a new perfomance video for the explict ver). They would just send to radios and count on the payola and the deals w spotify, tiktok, youtube, for the charts (thats what most western artists does). But since billboard started filtering the songs so much so that made like crazy drop from 1 to 45 in a week and then stopped counting digital versions from usa based artist stores, BTS had to start making available to fans different versions of the same song because they know they cant count on radio, but can count on the sales and streams. Since Like Crazy, i feel like Hybe is experimenting ways of overcoming the sabotage by the industry.

The thing is, i think we can and should talk and raise questions about how jimin was treated badly, in every chart and streaming platform. For example, views from youtube were not being frozen in Yoongi's songs too, just like jk's. So, its not a privilege that jk is receiving, its just that something was really happening with face promotions, who knows what and why. But that was not jk's or any member fault.

Anyway, i'm happy for jk and i know much more is coming his way. And i cant wait for jimin to make a new comeback soon too. I hope it all goes well yk, Jimin deserves the best in his promotions just like jk and the other members. Lets hope. I'm sorry for hijacking your tumblr for this rant, im hoping u have some thoughts on the subject

I shared my thoughts about most of this a few weeks ago, I'm sure anyone who wants to can still scroll to go find it all, I'm not *really* wanting to open it all back up for discussion again. People are VILE honestly. I enjoy the song, it's fun, it's not much more than that and it's clearly made to be a western audience radio hit. Jungkook deserves and has my full support though! 💜 thanks for sharing

How many times had her fingers touched those keys? I stood up and put one of the keys in my pocket.

Four years had passed. The house was filled with silence. Silence that drove me crazy. … 

I picked the piano key out of the trash can under my desk. When I opened the window, the night air blew in. My mind re-played the events of the day in quick succession. I threw the piano key out of the window with all my might. It had been two weeks since I went to school. They said I was expelled. I might get kicked out of the house even if I wanted to stay. I couldn’t hear the piano key hit the ground. Now I’d never know what note it made. It’d never make another sound again. I’d never play the piano again.”

“I bent over the piano and rummaged through what was under the piano frame with my hands. The scores were buried in the corner. I’d forgotten. I’d put them there. I couldn’t throw them away or keep them—music, the scores, piano, and myself.

And I remembered that night. The day I came running to this place, the day when my expulsion was decided. The day when I was given the verdict that I was no longer allowed into this classroom. I got drunk, and feeling desperate, I came running here. I didn’t know why I felt so desperate then. It was fear; without this place, I would never do or play music again. I was desperate to find out that that would not be the case.

… I was afraid of pressing down on a key, and it seemed impossible to play. The piano was pushing me away.

I pressed down on the keys harder. Meaningless notes echoed in what used to be our lair. I got mad and started to press any key and screamed, ‘That’s not the emotion!’

Suddenly, I stopped. My mom had said that. The words I hated to hear most. I tried playing the note that had disappeared in my life. I couldn’t move my fingers. It was the note that was everywhere in my music scores, the note that I didn’t even think about when I played the piano with my friends, and the note that I couldn’t play anymore after being made to dread it.

I couldn’t remember what I felt that night. I could’ve felt hopeless or felt like giving up. I returned to my place and threw away my mom’s piano keyboard that I had salvaged from the burned down house. And I decided I would never play the piano again.

In hindsight, it was a stupid thing to do. Nothing changed just because I had thrown away my mom’s keyboard. I couldn’t stop playing the piano or give up music. But since that day, I hadn’t played that note. The note was nowhere in the music I wrote.

… I looked down on the scores under the piano frame. I played a melody that was on the scores. It sounded strange from the piano out of tune. The strange sound became a strange melody and strange music.

Memories of my high school days trickled out with the melody. … Everyone’s laughter filled our lair, and SeokJin captured it all with his camera. I also recorded that day in my own way. The day when we’d all laughed together, the happiest day of our lives, and the time we spent together. It was in my music.

And after playing a note, I stepped back from the piano feeling as if electrocuted or my fingertips were on fire. For a moment, I was cut off from all my memories with my hands frozen in midair. A few notes:

Yes, I know that one of these things is not like the others! In Blood, Sweat, & Tears, YoonGi playing the organ parallels the character Pistorius in Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth by Hermann Hesse, a novel frequently referenced in the Wings era.

Speaking of Wings era: the short films share a handful of recurring images between them, one of which is the burning piano. The fourth gif is made from JungKook’s film Begin, but a very similar shot appears in JiMin’s Lie, too.

The Japanese version of Blood, Sweat, & Tears also includes a few shots of YoonGi and a piano in the covered alley. They are short or partially obscured by JiMin running away from him, so I decided to simply include a screenshot below.

YoonGi plays the piano alongside JungKook towards the end of I Need U, but for whatever reason the piano itself is never visible in the shots. I’ve used that scene elsewhere, including their Kindred : Comfort set and Youth : Joy.

In his 25 July Year 15 Notes entry accompanying the Map of the Soul: 7 album, YoonGi grows frustrated with his mother’s scolding during a piano lesson. She questions if he should be composing if he can’t play Chopin correctly and tells him he’s not playing the right emotion. He finally yells at her to stop and throws one of her trophies at the piano, breaking a key.

I’m looking for a fic I read quite a while ago and if you can help me i’ll be forever grateful... it was about namjoon having powers and accidentally causing damage, so seokjin (who was a kind of a social worker assigned to him) sent him to live with yoongi as a way to make up for his “crime”. Yoongi was also magical and lived isolated from society. If I remember correctly hoseok was also guilty of something and sent to yoongi with namjoon. Sorry if it’s too vague, but that’s all I remember

2) Hi, I decided to give this a try though I think the fic may have been deleted because I just can't find the fic anymore. Basically its ot7 and the main character (Jungkook?) took the boys to meet his mom. The author had the boys super athletic, tall and in college;they were also from Texas. Jungkook sadly had to deal with homophobic classmates. It was a one shot I believe.

I had a PSA on my old blog about how I speculate about the members, but for new followers, please note I write all I do about the boys knowing I could be way off base and completely wrong about them, but ultimately, I try to respect them as artists. With that out of the way, here goes:

Performance and personality were specifically asked for so let's start there. :)

Tae used to get a bit of a bad rep for being weird and a bit alien-like in their earlier years... I mean, didn’t Yoongi at some point say in the beginning Tae was the member he understood the least? So Anon, you're not alone and you're not the only person who gets contradicting vibes from Tae.

He's a very simple guy. I think his fans consider him to be mysterious, reserved, unique and all that but I think Tae is possibly the member who acts most like a typical Korean man in his 20s. I think Taehyung, and to a lesser degree Namjoon, are the most 'Korean guys' in the group i.e. the guys who most act like many Korean men I know. The way he says things, the way he asserts himself... in the West, Tae would be a Chad who idolizes his dad and who spent summer breaks at his grandparents' cottage where he developed a love for jazz. He loves his dad and wants to be like him, said at one point that he wants five kids, he posts thirst traps as though he's aiming to get those five kids as soon as possible.

Which brings me to anon's point of him being aware of his image. I agree. People might wonder why I say this given he's the guy who seems to care the least about showing facial hair, he often speaks and writes in a deadpan tone and is quick to tell off ARMYs/fans. He also seems to give the least fucks about what the company wants. All of these things are true and I think all of these things are qualities he's meticulously curated into his idol identity. When we add the fact he's the most conventionally handsome guy in the group, and that he's reminded of this as often as in every Bangtan Bomb, one can't blame him for also playing into that.

In terms of positives, something I like about Tae is how casually candid he is - he's not the type to fake it for long. Example: BTS Festa 2016 (timestamp: 21:03 - 25:00)

(The way Joon looks at Tae here gets me every. single. time. He was like "Tsk, this messy mf.")

Jimin stands out. Let's be frank. Festa 2016 was filmed sometime in the spring of 2016, BTS had done their Perfect Man cover with orange-haired Jimin the previous December. It was the '3:33 man in Fire MV' era. BTS were about to begin preparing for Blood, Sweat & Tears and the Wings comeback later that Fall. Jikook were jikooking like crazy in 2016. Jimin was preparing for Lie.

It was 2016 and Jimin stood out. All the members saw it, I think all the members felt it, but Tae was the one who actually voiced it (in an arguably petty/bratty/passive aggressive way but yeah). Btw, the way they all navigated this instance is one of the things that back then made me think they'd go far. But bringing it back to Tae, over the years he's become more refined in his delivery, but he still just says and does what he wants and rarely holds back. They're all a bit like this, but Tae really takes it lol. I like how simple Tae is in that way. He's probably the most predictable person in the Maknae Line.

Musically, I've come to really appreciate Tae's vocals. They've developed beautifully and I enjoy listening to his verses. His solo music debut is going to be a real force, I'm nearly certain.

On his dancing, I've said before that I think Yoongi is as good a dancer as Tae is, if not better, and that in my opinion Tae seems to do more dancing with his face than his body. I still think all of this is true, but I also think it seems to work for him. He's already a pretty good dancer but because he's a bit ambitious, I think he's preparing to showcase himself in a difficult choreography for his solo releases. Maybe he'll put aside his trademark 'laidback' dancing for something more intense.

We'll see. :)

“SHIT” you cursed out loud, an automatic reflex you had acquired as a result of hanging out with Yoongi so much during the past 2 years. You rubbed your injured arm, a slight pout adorned your pink lips.

You shot daggers at the slowly growing red bump on your arm due to a mosquito, which unfortunately for him, you gave no mercy to. Slumping your shoulders, you make a big fuss about the slightly stinging pain on your arm. You tugged on your boyfriend’s flannel, complaining that all the mosquitoes and other insects were personally out to get you.

The comments you both got on a daily basis about how cute you were together were way past your expectations, for all you saw was the weird quirky couple that fantasized over anime and basically lived in band t-shirts and baggy joggers. 

“Don’t worry my fair maiden, I’ll protect you from the arch nemesis known as the Mosquito of Death” he said in the most ridiculous accent trying to imitate someone from the medieval era, but sounding more like a strangled Englishman. The way he stretched his arms out as in to protect you from God knows what in combination his facial expressions of trying to look fierce had you flailing over grabbing your stomach erupting in laughter. Only Taehyung could ever make a sour situation into an immensely hilarious one; one of the many reasons you were with him. Finally composing yourself from your laughing fit, you pretended to wipe the fake tears from your eyes as you stared up at the unbelievably cute box smile shining down at you. Smiling and grabbing your boyfriend’s hand, you continued down the somewhat deserted and shaded path to the camping site.

The sun was slowly disappearing from the blueish grey sky as the evening started to set in. You and Taehyung had spontaneously came up with the idea of going camping the other day after watching an extremely cheesy movie where the couple did the same. It looked like a perfect idea for a vacation, that is until you were basically attacked by bugs and becoming practically burnt from the scorching sun because a certain brown haired dark eyed boy forgot to pack the sunscreen, despite the endless nagging from you not to forget it.

Dodging the low hanging tree branches and the multiple jagged stones that obstructed your path, you were surprised you hadn’t tripped and face planted yet. It was something that happened to you more than you would like but that’s what you got for being a clumsy person that pays little to no attention to what’s happening around you. Luckily for you, you had a nice caring boyfriend that was always there to pick you back up, after laughing at your failure at life that is.  

Seeing the empty outstretched fields come into view, you sighed out of relief, tired of walking for so long. Exercise wasn’t your favourite activity and walking definitely wasn’t a substitute either, the only exercise you ever got was when things got heated between you and Tae.

A contented sigh left your lips as you stretch out on the warm patch of grass under a shady tree. You looked up at Tae as he looked down at your comfortable form. You crossed your hands behind your head smirking at your boyfriend making yourself more comfortable.

“Wouldn’t you like to join me Tae?” You asked seductively tapping the spot next to where you lay.

“No thanks” he smirked down at you nonchalantly putting his hands into his black jeans.

“Why not” you frowned a little disappointed.

“Because you’re lying on an ants’ nest”  

And as soon as the words left his mouth you were scrambling to your feet at the speed of light frantically brushing your hands all over your body all the while screaming at the pitch of a drowning cat. As you practically ran around trying to get rid of the horrible bugs on the verge of tears, you could hear the hysterical laughter coming from your evil boyfriend. Stopping in your tracks and snapping your head in his direction, you glared at him ready to strangle his neck. Taking a deep breath trying to compose yourself from the burst of fear and anger, you stomped your way over to your bag grabbing it from it’s place on the ground and putting it somewhere else away from the devil insects.

“You see what I mean Tae, they’re after me, they’re out to get me” you huffed pretty confident on your theory.

“I told you not to worry babe, I’ll protect you.” He assured you although you could sense the humour behind his voice.

“So why didn’t you warn me about the ants??” You retorted crossed your arms.

“I did tell you didn’t I?” He smirked, his words laced with cockiness making you roll your eyes.

“Whatever, just stop being a dick and help me set up the tent” rolling your eyes again earning a chuckle from Tae. 

After choosing a suitable spot, away from all of the devil’s creatures, you and Tae begun to assemble the tent, which under normal circumstances would have been a quick and easy task, had you not decided to go camping with the weird child you called your boyfriend. He was constantly using the sticks that were meant to hold up the tent as a sword he would swing about and pretend that he was battling with it. After giving him a light scolding, you both were able to put up the tent before the moon was out. Unpacking your sleeping bags and setting them out under the tent you took out your food supplies, spotting marshmallows, chocolate and some crackers.

“Tae, let’s build a camp fire, I want to make some s’mores!” you exclaimed bubbly, spinning your head around to bring his crouched down frame into view. His face immediately lit up at the suggestion, his frame came tumbling over to your side as he visually assessed the ingredients you had before nodding frantically. You giggled before grabbing his hand, pulling him up and out of the newly set up tent and out onto the camping grounds, you squinted your eyes looking around the area for some camp fire wood. Within a span of 5 minutes, you had spotted a pile, pulling Tae eagerly towards it. Halting in front of it, you looked up at Taehyung expectantly.

“Tae, grab some and let’s go.” you urged him. He looked down at you in response.

“Why can’t you grab them? My back hurts from carrying those heavy bags.” He whined. Sighing, you moved forward to grab them when you caught a slight movement among the wood. You screamed, jumping behind Tae for protection. 

“Calm down y/n, it was just a lizard” He spoke mentally shaking his head at your childishness. You shook your head huffing, pretending you weren’t just expecting a wild raccoon to jump out and eat you alive.

“I am not touching that wood. What if that lizard jumps out and bites me on my nose?” You exclaimed frantically. Practically speaking, the chances of that happening, and today of all days, were actually fairly high and you didn’t want to take any chances. You doubted that mother nature would let you off for the third time in a row.

Rolling his eyes, Tae bent down to pick up the fire wood, slightly groaning at what you assumed to be the ache in his back. He then proceeded to walk towards your tent, with you trailing behind him like a lost puppy. After a short walk, you arrived back at your tent.

By the time you had reached the place where your tent was set up, Taehyung, bless his sweet heart, had taken it upon himself to set up the wood and start the fire. You soon found him scurrying around the tent, in search of the ingredients you had found earlier. After he found them, you assisted him in assembling the marshmallows on the metal skewers you had brought, before finding yourselves sat in front of the fire, cuddled into one another with a blanket over your shoulders and marshmallows pierced by skewers in both of your hands.

“You know, I once tried to roast marshmallows on the stove when I was younger” you chuckled to yourself remembering back to that time you wanted to see if it would be the same.

“And how did it turn out” he asked genuinely curious about your adventurous methods of when you where a little kid.

“First of all, it tasted like burnt sugar which was horrible and secondly, don’t use wooden skewers, unless you want to start a mini fire and get grounded for a week” you both laughed at your story of when you were a curious and obviously dumb seven year old. You loved the sound of his laughter, it was like music to your ears and could listen to it til the end of time. You were completely whipped for him and you were fully well aware of it. You loved him and you would give up anything for him because you knew he would do the same. Aside from the constant quarrelling and childlike behaviour you both portrayed, he was the love of your life, your first love, and you wanted it to stay that way.   

Leaning your head on his shoulder, you took a deep breath, taking in the moment. The peaceful sound of the crackling fire mixed with Taehyung’s calming breathes was the perfect getaway you could ever ask for. Twirling the softening white ball of sugar a few inches above the calm fire you wished it could always be this way, with him by your side. 

Looking up at his perfect face, sense of heat flooded through your body causing a knot to grow in your lower region. The affect Taehyung had on you was no joke but you couldn’t help it, he was too hard to resist sometimes. You gazed up through your eyelashes to take a peck at his chiselled jawline before moving to kiss his soft perky lips. You shifted your body in order to get a better look at his face. Him, feeling your movement, turns to look down at you just in time for you to capture his lips in a sweet kiss. You let your lips move against his in sync, long forgetting about the marshmallows that had been forgotten and cast aside, probably burning into nothing in the fire. Keeping your lips connected with his, your hands started to travel up his heated body as you pressed yours against his, desperate to feel close to him. He wrapped his arms around you in response copying your actions as his hands wandered your clothed body, feeling the same heat you felt, feeling the need to be close to you, feeling the need to feel your naked body against his, feeling the need to be inside you. 

Getting caught up in the sudden change of mood, you could feel Taehyung’s excited member poking against your stomach before he pulled away, gasping slightly for breath.

“Let’s go back to the tent. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be able to control myself” he breathed out through his swollen lips, his voice low and husky as his breath fanned across your face, causing your eyes to flutter. All you could manage was a hasty nod, wanting this just as much as he did. Taehyung delicately picked you up, seemingly forgetting about his back ache, and carried you back to the tent where you could get privacy from the onlooking empty trees and outstretched forest.

He carefully laid you down onto the already laid out blankets, his eyes piercing your own pair as his hand sneaked down to caress every crevice, curve, nip and tuck of your body, earning needy moans from you. With his head buried in your neck, leaving heavy kisses and marks on your flesh, he slowly peeled away each article of your clothing with gentle hands pushing down his strong desires, making you feel as if the setting was a five star hotel instead of a camping ground in the middle of nowhere. 

Looking down at your fully unclothed body, a low growl erupted from the depths of his throat signifying he couldn’t wait much longer. Shifting your body forward, feeling Taehyung watching your every move, you helped him to remove the material that was preventing you from seeing all of him. Audibly gasping at the sight of his sun kissed skin peeking out as you removed his covers, you could never get used to seeing him like this. His body was one you could only describe as something you could only dream of, but luckily for you it was real and it was yours.

With you both completely bare and heavy breathing filling the confines of the tent, you gazed at his frame towering over you as you felt your heart speed up. No matter how much times you two got intimate, it always felt like it was your first time experiencing and feeling these sensual sensations his him.The feelings present were so intense that it made you dizzy and to the point you needed him right now. 

Coming down to your level once again, Taehyung paused for a split moment, looking in your shaking eyes before attacking your lips like he couldn’t wait any longer. Your hands immediately found their way into his silky strands slowly grinding your hips against his needing to feel him as much as he needed to feel you. Abruptly pulling away, causing a needy moan to leave your throat, already missing the feeling of his soft lips on yours, you were quickly silenced by the feeling of his tip at your aching entrance and a hand softly caressing your left cheek.

“Are you ready?” he asked with a low shushing voice brushing a loose curl behind your hair. 

You stared up at him through your lashes with wide eyes, a smile finding it’s way to your lips before nodding your head for him to continue. And with not a second passing, he thrusted into to you causing you to let out a long awaited loud moan of his name. Gradually picking up the speed of his movements, finally getting to feel you wrapped tightly around him after so long had him a moaning mess as his erratic noises matched yours. Finding your lips once again, his warm tongue explored your mouth making your moans slightly muffled as he kissed you with all the passion he could muster. Wrapping your legs around his waist, giving him easier access, you returned his actions kissing him back with all you had. He spilled his feelings and love for you with every kiss, every moan and every thrust, making you feel cherished and cared for. He was giving you pleasure only he was capable of giving and wouldn’t wish for it any other way. 

You wrapped your arms tighter around his frame, bringing him closer to you as he continued to bring your climax closer and closer with thrust and every touch to your body. You were a moaning mess and you knew you wouldn’t last much longer. His ragged breathing, his strong hold on your hips in contrast with the soft hold he had against the side of your face as he kissed you was too much for you to bare. His diligent thrust with all of those things joined together lead you to the most bone shattering orgasm you could possibly have as the scream of his name echoed around the tent. His breathing becoming more strained, you knew he was close too and after a few more thrusts he came shortly after with a low growl of your name. 

Breathlessly collapsing next to your heaving sweaty body, gasps and huffs filled the otherwise quiet tent as you both calmed down from your high. After a few seconds of only the sound of your heavy breathing, Taehyung pulled your tired frame closer to him still needing to keep you close to him. You cuddled into his side, placing your arm across his chest and tucking your face into his neck, you placed a sweet peck at the nape of it smiling at the moment you both just shared.

“Maybe we should make camping a regular thing huh?” He breathed out softly, finally catching his breath. You giggled, wrapping your arms around him tighter liking the sound of that.

“Yeah, maybe.”

The newly-weds first dance was beautiful and so was the rest of the ceremony. I had never thought that I would see Namjoon dancing but I had to admit that he was pretty good, compared to what I saw when my aunt sent me a video about him. He made quite a progress and thanks to his hard-work, the cheers and claps were even louder. Then, we sang an old love song together while the lights were turned off and it was so emotional that I even shed a tear. What made it even more special was the fact that the only sources of light were the candles in our hands. It was picturesque as the hall was illuminated by hundreds of tiny flames and the sweet melody lured into our hearts.

Well, I wouldn’t say that the next minutes were more memorable because I was literally forced to stand among the girls who were craving to be a part of the bouquet tossing. I had no intention of getting it but I wasn’t in the least satisfied when Kang Gain was the one who grabbed the bouquet in the end.

At least one person was definitely having fun and that was my one and only cousin. Taehyung was jamming wildly to every of the songs and even hummed the lyrics for them. It was all thanks to Park Jimin who decided to sing something more captivating than trot hits and the dance floor was soon filled with enthusiastic couples. Taetae dragged me alone and since there was nothing else I could do, I gave in and we started dancing. To be precise, what I was doing couldn’t be considered dancing but I was trying. Grandpa and dad also asked me to a dance and it was quite weird because I think that I hadn’t danced with them since I was 6 years old. At that time, I was crazy about everything that was new to me and it was one of them. It was one hell of an era.

I can’t really remember for all the things that happened during the next few hours because I was either bored or talked with a friend of a friend’s friend. My cousin sometimes joined me, especially when we encountered my aunt’s best friend’s daughter who was only 4 years old. Taehyung was always good with kids and they got along as soon as they saw each other. I could tell that he wasn’t totally sober but he didn’t behave badly, so I tried not to think about it.

However, after our playing time with the little girl, he seemed much paler than he should have, hence I had to test the waters.

“Alright, Taetae, you don’t look well. How many shots did you have?” I cupped his chin quite furiously and forced him to face me. You can tell just by looking at someone if they are drunk or not and he definitely was! He had quite an amused expression displaying on his face while he was pondering.

“I dunno.” He shrugged his shoulder but started counting on his hands. “1, 2, maybe 4? Wait, 4 is after 2, right?” He looked at me with his puppy eyes and I was aware of the fact that he wasn’t that type of drunk guy who started picking fights or got emotional but I still didn’t get used to see him acting like this.

Gosh, where were his parents? I knew that they booked a room at the motel on the other side of the street but if they were already at their accommodation, I had to drag him all the way there. Around 2am, probably without the street lights on and totally alone. No, thank you, I didn’t want that.

“No, 4 is after 3, you genius.”

“Really?” He chuckled with a childish grin but I just rolled my eyes. I needed plan B. I needed to find his parents.

“Is there an earthquake? Omo, Jia, it’s an earthquake! Awesome, it’s an earthquake!” He piped up as his current state threw him off balance and he would have fallen to the floor if I hadn’t caught him in time.

“Oh, great…” I murmured under my nose as I slung my arms around his shoulder to make sure that he wouldn’t fall and make a total idiot out of himself. I pushed him forward and tried to manoeuvre the two of us among the crowd to get to the garden.

Luckily, we didn’t bump into anyone who would ask us what happened, even when I wanted my cousin to sit down on the bench. As expected, he shook his head and didn’t budge, not even a bit.

“No-no, Jiamia!” He waggled his finger. “Taetae doesn’t want to sit down.” He stuck his tongue out at me when I already felt a need to slap him.

“Do you need help?” I heard a worried voice from behind and came in sight with the photography crew. Seokjin was the most frightened out of the three and he came up to us without waiting for my answer. Beside him, Yoongi merely stifled a yawn while his hands were lazily tugged into his pocket. Jungkook stared at us, probably not sure about what was going on but followed his hyungs right away.

“No, thanks. I’ll manage on my own.” I smiled that fake sort of smile and tried to sound as confident as possible but they didn’t seem to believe me.

“What she needs is you; her cute photographer.” Taehyung blurted out and pointed to Jungkook who was quite taken aback because of the nickname.

I mentally cursed myself for telling my cousin about our talk with the photographer but who knew that he would make such a big fuss about it?

“What?” Jin and Yoongi croaked in chorus.

“She likes you, Jonghyun. She likes you a lot.” Taetae cooed with high-pitched voice and flashed a knowing grin.

Oh gosh, I seriously wanted to curl up and die. It was humiliating because he was telling the truth but it still didn’t feel right. For God’s sake, I wanted Jungkook to know it from me and not from my crazy drunk cousin!

“I’m Jungkook.” Mr. Innocent cleared his throat and glared at him but he didn’t seem to notice his slight frustration.

“I know that, you silly!” He snorted like he was hurt and swatted my helping hand away. As a result, he started stumbling on the pavement and almost fell to the ground but Seokjin managed to grab his hand and prevented him from further undesirable consequences. “But believe me, Jongdae. She was talking about you the whole day and I know her and I know that she’s totally in love with you.” He prattled proudly and gave us one of his ridiculous drunken smiles. Then, he started fidgeting in Mr. Hot Pink’s arms but he still didn’t let him go.

I thanked God that he was there because if it wasn’t for Seokjin, we would probably be in an ambulance car by now, heading to the nearest hospital. I was so thankful for him because I couldn’t even handle my cousin, not to mention my crazily rumbling thoughts! I was totally embarrassed, my heart was beating like a drum and the air became so hot, I was afraid that I might faint.

It wouldn’t have been an understatement to say that Jeon Jungkook was baffled. He was more than baffled; he was literally shaking from the sudden confession. I guess Tae’s words finally dawned on him but instead of nervously biting his lower lip, his eyebrows were knitted together in question.

“She already has you, so why me?” He flung his arms in the air and clenched his jaw. His eyes seemed to lose their prominent glint as he looked at me like he had prosecuted me for something terrible.

“What?”

“What?”

“What?” I managed a sentence out and the others were incredulous as well. After Seokjin’s yell, Yoongi also caught up with what was going on and his eyes widened in surprise. Taehyung looked like as if his eyes were going to pop out in disbelief.

“I’m her cousin, my friend.” He puffed his chest out in pride and I saw as the situation finally made sense to Mr. Innocent.

His shoulders slumped at ease, his cheeks were heating up a bit and his eyes became shiny again. He nervously looked down and let his eyes linger on his toes instead. Even his ears turned red.

“You really thought that he was my boyfriend?” I couldn’t help but laugh at this awfully tangled situation. It was too much to handle. How could he think that we were together with Taehyung? I would never ever date a guy like my cousin! Not that he was a bad guy but he was definitely not my type!

“Yeah. You danced together, he was whispering into your ears, you were feeding him food, so you two definitely acted like a couple.” He stumbled on his words which sounded so brittle.

I shook my head, still unable to believe that he thought that we were dating. But come to think of it, if I were in his shoes, I would probably think the same way due to the fact that we were pretty close, both figuratively and physically. Not to mention that we were at the same age and even sat down at the same table. Still, it was so bizarre. Me and Taehyung? Ugh, what on Earth?

“Will you invite me to your wedding with Jonghoon?” Taetae said crossly and looked at me with his puppy eyes. I really felt a need to facepalm. He acted like a 5 year-old kid when he got drunk but his confusion with Jungkook’s name was something that I had never experienced before.

“Jungkook.” Yoongi corrected him but I saw as the corner of his lips was curving into a smirk.

Okay, I knew that it was time for me to scoop Taehyung up before something even more embarrassing happen, so I gave Seokjin a brief nod and he let me take over his place.

“I’ll help him to his room but I would like to talk to you afterwards.” I said to Mr. Innocent who finally looked up at me. As we met each other’s gazes in the dim light of the garden, I realised that he had the most mesmerizing onyx-black eyes. His orbs were beautiful yet mysterious and shined dangerously yet lovingly. Oh gosh, his presence didn’t help at all.

He nodded in submission and if I knew that it was the last time I saw him, I would have said something to him. But by the time I got back, he was gone. The wedding reception came to an end and the photography crew left. I didn’t realise how much time had passed since I busied myself with assisting Taehyung who started sobering up. Unfortunately, it meant that he had to go through awful and frequent vomiting.

I stayed beside him for hours and didn’t even have the time to call his parents, so I ended up tugging him to bed and watching as he finally dozed off. His parents came back to the motel after the wedding ended but it was too late. Jungkook was already gone.

Okay but predebut!joon is so fucking cute like he has the same thing going on that the other boys do, he still has a bit of his bby chub, he’s still gotta grow into his features a lil more, cheekbones weren’t as sharp etc. all of the typical things but it’s really really adorable he looks so squishy

His cheeks were (and are) s o kissable and soft and I just wanna squish them bc they look so cute I love squishy cheeks so much

Gotta do black hair!joon for this bc I feel like we haven’t had black hair!joon in a while (I’m not complaining a t a l l bc I love dyed hair!joon with all my heart) and also predebut!joon had dark hair and I’m trying to keep it somewhat close to reality but it all works out bc I love black/dark hair!joon

Okay so Namjoon’s fashion is always changing and evolving, one day he’s wearing all black the next he’s in a bright pink shirt, one day he’s in black jeans the next he’s in overalls and I have to give joon some applause for taking risks and wearing whatever HE wants to wear bc his fashion is another form of expression and I love that he’s sending out the message of just do you (wink wink)

Some of my personal favorite Kim Dailys are when he’s in all black, there’s this one picture where he’s in all black but then there’s just a pop of pink from his hair and it’s so aesthetically pleasing but my all time favorite has to be this one picture is where he’s in a black tank top, black shorts and he’s got a headband on and glasses and he’s got the blondish hair going on and it’s just so wo W he looks so boyfriend in his Kim Daily posts and it makes me want to scream

HS!joon is always trying new things out and he loves finding new clothes or a new accessory like this one time you give him a hat for his birthday and he wears that thing for like three weeks straight bc he loves you and he loves hats so it’s all perfecT

Okay so Namjoon is really really friendly but he doesn’t make friends with everyone he walks next to so he has zero issues with becoming friends with someone and speaking to them first but he likes staying somewhat close to his group, the boys will always be his b e s t friends (and of course, you but you’re a lil more than a friend)

Namjoon likes to hang out with the kids that are pushed out of cliques for being different or ‘aren’t cool enough’ bc fuck that, no he’s gonna be friends with them and he’s gonna show them that not everyone cares about how much money they have or don’t have or how popular they are

And lowkey head canon that he’s super sarcastic with the 'popular’ clique that are all really arrogant and cocky so he gives them these really fake smiles when they talk to him, the type of fake that you know is fake so they can see he’s not having their shit and every single word is dripping with sarcasm and Yoongi’s helping him and they’re both just slowly but surely putting the clique in their place

 Namjoon is totally the type to stick up for others around bullies like he’s tall and broad and he’s got that deep voice so he can easily psych the bully out and get them to leave the other person alone

Namjoon is obviously in the music club, he loves music so much but I also feel like he’d be in the fashion club maybe bc Namjoon seems like he’s really interested in different styles and different looks so he’d definitely try it out

He’s the president of the music club and everyone loves him in both clubs and he loves having people around him that are interested in the same things that he is like the people in the music club know about so many different artists and everyone’s always trading song suggestions and the fashion club is so open to different fashion styles like you have one kid that forever wears all black, there’s someone that likes to go for a nice dress and has a more vintage style he likes the quirky people that have something they love

I’m not sure Namjoon and sports should go together bc Namjoon has been given a certain nickname (god of destruction) and idk if giving him a ball and telling him to kick/throw/hit it is a good idea bc that sounds like a pretty good way to end up with a broken window and/or limb

Prom with Namjoon is so cute though like joon would be such a sweet boyfriend and he makes you feel so special the entire night like his eyes never leave you, his arm’s around your waist and he’s just so proud to be standing next to you and to be able to say yes hi I’m the boyfriend 

He’s so !!! when he sees you like there are so many emotions, at first it’s all cute and his eyes are all bright and he’s so happy and in awe and then he gets this smirk and just does the “ok” hand motion and very blatantly checks you out

“NiCE”

He gets you a single rose (cue the cheesy line of “bc there’s only one you”) and is super happy to pose for pictures bc “in twenty years, we’ll look back on these pictures with our kids and tell them how I was the best prom date of the century” 

Namjoon gets super hype at prom tbh like we’ve all seen what happens when Namjoon hears music, he goes crazy and just starts up the flailing limbs like his dance he did back in the WOH era where he was just whipping his arms back and forth and even got Jimin to join in with him

Or the iconic dance he did on Weekly Idol where he had the really long jacket sleeves and just kinda flopped around and flailed them all over the place and he looked like one of those air dancers (I had to look up the name of them using the joke about wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man from Family Guy apparently they’re called air dancers I learn something new every day)

He ends up losing his tie at some point and he doesn’t even realize it until he’s leaving and goes to fix his tie bc it “feels loose” 

He and Jin start a dance off and somehow Yoongi gets roped into it and then Taehyung’s doing the worm in the middle of the dance floor while Jimin’s rolling around laughing and Jungkook’s challenging Tae by saying he can do a way better worm but it’s all adorable and Namjoon gets you to join him and Jin gets his date involved so now everyone just wiggling around with their dates  

And of course the slow dancing is so sweet and soft and it’s super giggly bc you two keep stepping on each other’s feet and Namjoon just gets this huge smile and his entire face is lit up and he’s playfully singing along to the music off key just so he can hear you laugh

High school!joon is super sweet and kind and he’s really just a gentle giant and loves to make the people that feel left out feel included with him and he also just really really loves you
