so, apparently, in March, i came up with a Logan headcanon and never told anyone about it??? basically, what if Logan made note cards, but instead of phrases and slang, he wrote tone tags? both to remember all of them, and to use them in conversation, as he struggles with tone (another headcanon of mine).

i became really excited about it recently, and wanted to execute it in some way. so.

(FUCKING FINALLY. i've been working on this for ELEVEN HOURS STRAIGHT QUEER. i'd like to apologize to my now ruined sleep schedule. it may already be the next day for me, but i literally took zero breaks.)

the restaurant they were gonna go to flooded (darn Florida weather), so they stayed home and had dinner by the candlelight. guess what Remus is eating. guess.

"Shit shit shit. Fuck."

Patton's precious cat hoodie now had a gaping hole in its side. The worst part was that Patton didn't even know Remus was using it. It was just fucking around with it on— knife tricks, parkour on the rocks at the neighborhood park, climbing a few hundred-foot trees. He didn't expect it to tear when he walked by the fence in the yard. Apparently, it caught on a splinter. This was all Remus' fault. Patton would hate him. This was his favorite thing in the world.

He ran upstairs and into the bathroom so he could possibly stitch it back up while Patton would think they were just in the bath or something. He quickly locked the door and opened the little sewing kit that Patton had used all the time. They stitched the side the best they could. The green thread was visible, but it was the sturdiest stuff left. He almost cried. How could it be such a bad partner?

Patton knocked on the door. "Hey, Remus? I think I left my glasses in there. Could I come in?" He heard a quiet sob from the other side. "Baby, are you okay?"

The door slowly opened, revealing a distraught Remus clinging to Patton's hoodie.

"What happened?"

Patton didn't really get so much an answer than he did a few incoherent words.

"...fence ...green ...bad boyfriend ...shit ...sorry sorry sorry."

"What?"

Remus sniffed and quickly held out the hoodie. Patton noticed the green thread. "Ohhhh, I see. Baby, it's okay."

"But it's your favorite thing..."

"Do you know how many times I've accidentally torn holes into this thing?"

Remus shook its head.

"Yeah, I keep getting it caught on the... Oh, 'fence'! That's what happened, isn't it?"

"Remus, you're my favorite thing." Patton hugged him tight. "And I like the green stitches, actually. They remind me of you."

Remus nodded.
