Etho's paci! his og comfort item probably has always counted as his mask - without it he genuinely struggles to speak bc he gets mega self-conscious of being watched - but ever since he got his paci that has been his number 1 comfort item! on anxious days its the only thing to keep his breathing even and soothe the knot inside his chest. he never loses it bc he almost always has it on him, whether in his ender chest or hiding behind his mask in his mouth. no one rlly knows this, a small handful know abt the paci's existence, but no one notices just how often etho uses it or knows just how essential it has become to him

Grian's teddy! I haven't decided the name yet, prob just Teddy, but grian has a very classic brown teddy bear that he genuinely carries around with him all the time when little. he tucks him under the blanket when they're in bed, gives him a seat on the dining table when he eats, even has a kids toothbrush to get impulse to "brush teddy's teeth" when grian does the same. i think scar got it for him when he first learned about grian's regression - so it has a lot of sentimental value. pls dont make me think abt teddy getting lost, i dont think anyones heart can take it

Gem's scrunchie! Gem doesn't have a littlespace comfort item necessarily - she has so many toys and dozens of stuffies and loves to switch them all out constantly, giving all of them a fair share of her attention. you could consider the fact she always brings AT LEAST 3 stuffies to a playdate as a comfort item vaguely. but she always uses the same scrunchie out of habit and got a lil teary and very frustrated when she lost it a while back :( but since then pearl actually made her one with scrap fabric and thats the only one gem uses now. its starting to unravel at the seams but pearl promised to make her another if it ever gets lost/broken

🧿I'm trying to post more and be active without burning out. I'm going to post more periodically on here.

◉ this is just some concept art of my ocs. I used to think I should probably keep these close to my heart and not show anyone in case the projects related to these OCs get scrapped or the OCS themselves get recycled. I'm now realizing that with how easily I get burnt out, I'm never gonna post anything, and people don't judge as harshly as I thought they did over scrapped or abandoned projects.

⨀ I'm gonna make special tags for each oc project I have! The characters here are from a project I named "Cranberry Clash!", their names are "Ocran" or "cran" for short (braids), and Francesca "Frankie" (double pigtails)!

⨀ocran is a magical girl of sorts! She is more traditional than some other magical girl ocs, but the plot is still a work in progress. I'll make a master post if I make enough progress to post more. until then!

Thank you for this gift sveppir my volcarona blaze appears like he want to steal the whole jar, because I think he recognizes that jars usually have yummy things in them usually. But anyway I've sent some stuff to you as a couple thank you gifts including some oran and sitrus berry jam. Which I used berries grown on my rescue alongside some homemade fire/bug type treat mixes with a small jug of grayp berry juice which is a species of berries native to ikron the region I live in.

👇 just articulated what ive been thinking about the [gestures vaguely]. yeah nobody can stop you from using a word to mean a specific meaning (that may or may not align with the broadly accepted usage of that word). this is a neutral statement that i am very aware of (as a person who has tags that have denote very specific meanings to me. that are really only tangentially related to the actual commonly accepted denotations of those words.). its fine. its actually genuinely fine.

the problems emerge when you conflate [using these meanings within that personal context] with [using these meanings within a community context, where people use these terms in order to denote specific meanings, in order to facilitate discussion of the concepts surrounding them]. and then go "[word] means [meaning they made up thats completely different from the established meaning in the community]! youre wrong!" thereby making themself look like a total ass.

Beach day? who likes to swim? Who is afraid of the water? Does anyone have to wear water wings? Making sand castles? Does impulse grill hamburgers? That just seems like a beach day thing to me idk - cran berry

impulse is definitely in charge of burgers, ur completely right on that one. he takes so much pride in being the burger man

gem goes all out and gets so hyper on beach day!!swimming, splashing, jumping canonball into the water every 5 mins (impulse pretends not to worry every time her head ducks under the surface)

skizz is in charge of sunscreen timer and keeping track of how long people have been in the sun/swimming - and therefore has the tough job of trying to get gem out of the water, often having to go in after her (and turning it into a game of Shark

Grian can swim and dips in occasionally to cool off or play an extra fun game with gem, but mostly likes to sit on the shore and let the waves wash over his legs/sit on the pier with his shorts rolled up so he can splash his feets in

scar is there!! usually in the shade so his chair doesn't overheat but acts as a mock lifeguard: complete with sunglasses, whistle, and a tshirt that says 'Professional Beach Hunk'! he makes gem and grian giggle with his strict lifeguard voice and made up rules like 'excuse me young miss, all splashes must be over 3 feet tall. you're gonna have to dive in again!' and 'no farting in the water! it's a contaminant!'

grian gem and etho are all obssessed with water gun fights - they get so competitive though that impulse hides them until a little later in the afternoon right before the barbecue so they work up an appetite (and so that he can hide behind the grill and not get soaked). the littles always conspire to find the guns in the couple beach bags and somehow never find them, and yelp and make excuses and giggle very secretly when skizz or scar spot them and ask them what theyre tryna find

etho is actually rlly scared of going in the water deeper than his knees, he never learnt to swim and is too nervous to at this point. (skizz got him water wings, etho was so exasperated and refused to wear them, grian has claimed them to put on teddy even though he doesnt let teddy get wet, he has to dress for beach day too like everyone else)

so etho hangs back with whichever adult is sitting in the shade/on the towels and (if big/older) plays uno with scar or reads a book quietly leaning against the CG or (if little) tries to subtly build sandcastles without makin it too obvious bc hes a lil shy how childish it is

although one time grian did accidentally stomp through his sandcastle when he was running away from gem and etho tried very hard not to cry - grian immediately clocked the teary eyes and apologised profusely (drawing attention from both cgs. impulse cooed at him from the barbecue with a sympathetic pout, skizz knelt down next to him and whisper asked if he was okay), and etho ended up so small from the shocked tears and all the attention that he silently held his arms out for Skizz to pull him into his lap and comfort him. scar also comforts grian when he feels bad for making his brother cry and of course him and Skizz join forces and get them to hug it out

gem and grian make him another castle while he's being baby in skizz's lap and sweetly go up to ask skizz if they can bring etho to see. etho is v shy abt how small he's dropped and goes with them (with gem guiding him by the hand and muttering soft reassurances about it all) and they show him their elaborate castle with multiple buildings and a water moat and gem picked flowers and branches to look like trees and grian collected rocks to look like boulders! they all plop down on the sand and build more of it together until lunch is ready :3

Thank you very much! We here at the LPC appreciate it! I had the berries sent to the aviary in Fortree, and, wouldn’t you know it, we caught our one-headed Doduo, Asuka, fishing for berries!
