August 2nd:

I decided to push this exam back. I was so stressed out and never meeting my study goal each day and just falling further and further behind. My mom finally pulled me aside and told me to move my exam that this stress isn't worth it when it might cause me to make a worse score. It cost $35 to move the exam but now I'll take it September 6th instead of August 25th. I redid my study schedule leading up to the exam and now my daily goal is two modules a day which is much easier than the three I was trying to do and never got to. It's also easier to convince myself to start the work when my to-do list is shorter. Today I studied for three hours and forty minuets and finished up module three and got half way through module four. I'm very happy with this as I got a slow start to my day with having to switch everything around. I'm so much more relaxed now that I have more time!

Today's accounting topic: The economic order quantity inventory model attempts to minimize total ordering and carrying costs and can be applied to the management of any exchangeable good. Just-In-Time inventory model was developed to reduce the lag time between inventory arrival and inventory use.

Other activity: I finally finished a full crochet clothing item! I finished a blue shirt and I love it so much. I've weaved in all the ends and blocked it and got to wear it to dinner with my mom.

Back into it! Started restudying yesterday for my last CPA exam! I’m manifesting that this will be my last take, and in August after I hit my 1 year work experience I’ll be a CPA!

Frustratingly, I have to wait until June to get my score even though my exam is in mid-March, which is pretty dejecting, but I’m sure I have enough time in the next 6 weeks to really get well prepared!!!

Living My Life to the Fullest

After seven years, I see myself as a rich and successful CPA-Lawyer, contributing good service to my beloved country and its people by always being honest and fair to all. It's kind of sad since I can't see myself marrying someone, but I can see myself as a good father. As well as giving my all to my mother for her to experience the best life that she hasn't experienced before. A life that has no worries about money and a life wherein we both are happy and free.

Lastly, I can see myself traveling around the world with my mom, experiencing their culture and delicacies. And through this journey, I can see that my young will be happy and content with what my life is after seven years.

It's always good to dream high and exert effort to achieve. The only thing stopping you from reaching your goals is yourself, so always believe in yourself, believe in your capabilities, and always SOAR HIGH.

August 8th:

Got over three hours of studying in today! I finished up module 8 and did module 9 so I'm finally done with section two. Tomorrow I'll review section two and take a practice exam and then review sections one and two and take the first mini exam. I felt more confidant with the last two modules of section two than I did with any other module but I'm hoping reviewing will give me confidence in the other modules too.

Today's accounting topic: The internal rate of return is the expected rate of return of a project and focuses the decision maker on the discount rate at which the present value of the cash inflows is equal to the present value of the cash outflows (usually the initial investment).

Other activity: I went to the gym at nine am today and took my dog on a mile long walk after it poured rain for three hours and was nice and cool!

The countdown to my exam scares me! 16 days… not nearly enough time, but it’s too late to make any changes since my work had to approve it. I’m sort of planning to fail and have to retake, but I’m absolutely going to give it my all on September 6th!

I’ve been getting 3.5hrs in consistently for the past few days, I need to stay at or above that much (definitely prefer more) but it’s so hard since I spend all day at work using my brain. I keep telling myself it’s temporary! Soon I won’t have to worry about it, and it’ll all be worth it!

I did have a great weekend though, my boyfriends sister and her husband came to visit us and we did a ton of fun stuff! And my boyfriend got me the a beautiful rose for my desk 🩵 it perks me up when I start feeling dejected.

Goal for the week:

Finish B4 (started tonight), take mini exam 2, be at least halfway through B5 by this time next week, memorize all the mnemonics from the first unit, and listen to the audios from my other study software a few times!

ACCRUED CPA

Growing up, two of my aunties became certified public accountants. So, I guess being accountable runs in my blood, and they become my inspiration. I am currently a ACCOUNTANCY student from Sacred Heart College. I chose this degree because I've always been interested in understanding, analyzing the field of business and accounting firm.

As for now, I am still fighting to strive this degree and strive more for my future profession. I am in between pressured and persevered. But I need to keep positive in whatever challenge I might take in carrying this degree because of my ULTIMATE GOAL in life, to be a CPA in 2027.
