#FollowMe For Murder by @authorsaraheburr has been on my TBR pile for a while so glad I finally got to read this millennial cozy. This book almost....almost become my very first DNF (did not finish) book but I am glad I finished this book. It took me a while to warm up the Coco Cline and I didn't like Jasper at all which is why it almost became DNF. I just didn't fine Coco likeable. Having said that I do love how Coco her boyfriend and their group of friends used social media to help investigate and catch the killer. The author did a wonderful job developing each character and world building so I feel like I know the characters and would love to visit Central Shores, Delaware if existed. Just finished reading @korinamossauthor debut novel and I can't wait for the 2nd book in the cheese shop mystery series! This was such a great cozy from start to finish. Love Willa and her staff Mrs. Schultz the retired high school drama teacher and the young Archie who I think is 19 (maybe). The story was very plot driven and loved that there were not too many suspects ot red herrings. There is just enough backstory about Willa that I feel I know who she is. I definitely give this first book in the author's Cheese Shop mystery series ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2 Back of the book: Cheesemonger Willa Bauer is proving that sweet dreams are made of cheese. She's opened her very own French inspired cheese shop, Curds & Whey in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. I just finished Vanilla Bean Vengeance which is the first book in @agathafrost Claire's Candles Cozy Mystery series. There are 6 books in the series so far I recently discovered this author and she writes another series also that I now want to read. I loved that this amateur sleuth's career was non culinary, bookish, crafting. Claire's dream is to one day own her very own candle business but her bank account tells her that dream is just that a dream so she works at the Northash's largest employer Warton's Candles and continues to dream. Claire suddenly finds herself witnessing a murder when she sees the owner of the factory fall (pushed) to her death. Now she finds herself along with her friend Damon and her retired Detective Inspector father trying to find the killer before she and her job are snuffed out. This was such a great book. The author did a great job developing the characters with just enough backstory. Great character development. The one negative for me was Claire's seemingly being content to dream about having her own business but that's it. She has a lack of drive nor do I appreciate her being this really frumpy plus size woman. Again as a plus size woman I exercise and I am neither frumpy or ordinary in anyway so it's said that the author uses these stereotypes. Overall I loved the book so much I just ordered the second book in this series and I am really hoping to see Claire grow as I read this series. I discovered this book at my local @barnesandnoble and was intrigued by the cover and plot and grabbed it. I really enjoyed Body and Soul Food by @abbylvandiver. When I first started this book I wasn't sure I was going to finish it but the more I read the more I wanted to read. I did feel that Keaton was just a little too neurotic and that Koby didn't always take her feelings into consideration but you really feel the twin connection. Also I don't know of any woman who would not have been insulted by Mama Zola's bashing of their cookies. I fell in love with fraternal twins Keaton & Koby and I really hope this series has a long life. Overall I really did enjoy this book and can't wait for the second book in this series. So glad I discovered @abbylvandiver and look forward to reading her other series. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Back of book: Koby Hill and Keaton Rutledge were separated after they were abandoned at age two, but their unbreakable connection lingered. Okay I finished To Helvetica and Back by @paigebooks and I enjoyed the book. I love her grandfather who insist on being called by his name and I loved Baskerville their cat. I must admit I felt their was not enough character development and I would have loved more background about Clare and Creighton's breakup. Also I absolutely hated that the name of the murdered man wasn't revealed until the end of the book when the killer who didn't show up until the end which is a head scratcher. Just finished the 1st book in @alexiagordonauthor Gethsemane Brown mystery series and I can't wait the read all the books in this series! I am not one for paranormal mysteries but after a while I had to keep reminding myself that Eamon was a ghost. The best thing about this book is that the reluctant amateur sleuth Dr. Gethsemane Brown is an African American classical musician who finds herself in the small Irish village of Dunmullach after the promised assistant conductor of the Cork Orchestra went to the bosses girlfriend, and on top of everything else she loses her luggage. Now she is the new music teacher at St. Brennan's and has discovered that the headmaster has pinned all his hopes and dreams on her to lead the honors Orchestra to victory in the All County contest in 6 weeks! On top of everything else she finds her sharing her cottage with the original owner the ghost of famed classical music genius Eamon McCarthy who has asked her to help prove that he didn't kill his beloved wife and then himself 25 years ago. Can Gethsemane solve the 25 year old mystery and lead the St. Brennan's to victory. This was a highly enjoyable read and I loved that Gethsemane's race was not the focus of the story. The world building the author did of Dunmullach was okay but I could've had more. Loved every character in the book. Okay finished the first @astoriawright sassy sleuth mystery Hot on the Heels. It is a quick read because it's just a little over 100 pages. I loved that the amateur sleuth Kaitlynn Sasse is a model who has decided to leave the modeling world and return to Diamond Springs in the Catskill Mountains where she spent her summers with her grandparents and is reconnecting with old friends. When a former employee of Kaitlynn's friend Ava Price is murdered and Ava is the #1 suspect and Kaitlynn realizes she has to find out who the killer is with the help of handsome P.I. Ace East. Will she find the real killer and save her friend Ava from jail? Because the book is so short there isn't a lot of character development which I missed. Overall I did enjoy the the book and I am heading to @amazon to purchase the other 2 books in this series.
