cowboy!ushijima who lives in a remote farm in a small town, alone with his animals. he barely goes down to the town, only for the strictly necessary. so he doesn't know that a new townie came after a couple of days.

what happen is that you accidentally go to his land and, by some reasons, you end up being chases by some geese. you are running for your life, barely acknowledging your surroundings.

and then your feet don't touch the ground anymore.

a big, tanned arm is holding you around your waist, easily picking you up. you are already breathing fast and you feel out of breath when you finally see who is holding you.

he's like a greek god. a cowboy hat covers his beautiful face, tanned by the sun. his lips are in a thin line and his olived eyes aren't pleased with the situation.

after a hot minute, the greek god release you on the ground. the geese are behind, still clucking upset.

"who are you?" you both ask at the same time.

"i'm the owner of this farm," the man say when you keep silent. his gaze is too intense but if you have survived a geese attack, you can survive everything.

"i'm sorry, i didn't know it was someone's land when i cross there," you turn and signal the fallen fence, "i was looking for my uncle's farm and in the town told me to go in this way."

there is only another farm nearby, a few miles away. for years, none live there but ushijima remebers an old man that used to go to his farm for some cow milk.

you say your complete name and extend your hand for a shake. it take a while for the man to meet your hand and shake hands. his big hands are calloused by the hard work on the farm. momentarily you wonder how they would feel on your body.

"ushijima wakatoshi," he greets and that's how everything started.
