He joined the nightmare court basically straight out of the dream. In his dream he saw himself leading a group of courtiers against a rather dashing knight, and when he woke up he decided to follow that vision. He joined the court and actually was pretty well liked and able to rise up a little, enough to have his own little branch of court life to control. He didn’t consider that he’d have to actually be ruthless and brutal to be part of the court, so his group is made up of courtiers that don’t really want to kill anybody/ be closer to non courtier sylvari. They typically spend their days causing general mayhem but Corynn makes sure that they never stoop to killing senselessly. He’s considered their leader (it’s a small group, I don’t think more than probably 20-30 courtiers) and he enjoys stirring up trouble (especially because a certain brave knight always comes over to stop him!). His favorite activities involve laughing evilly and rubbing his hands together, along with sneaking and stealing and being disruptive. And no he doesn’t look forward to having his plans foiled by a particular knight, not at all….

I know it's like almost 2am my time so a lot of people are asleep but uh, I love hearing about other people's ocs and I've been thinking about the nightmare court so I wanna hear about y'alls courtiers

#1 Is Amelarius, naturally. He’s the wettest cat of all time, just a pathetic little loser boy with cool wizard powers. He doesn’t even use them for anything useful because he’s so busy being pathetic all the time <333

Corynn is probably second. He is so obviously head over heels for a certain knight that he can’t even be properly evil half the time. He’s not even cool enough to be really evil, he just schemes and plots mostly. He doesn’t even have a cool evil villain laugh. Or big shoulder pads! Like I’ve said before, he’s my pathetic villain babygirl

Up next!! Hera my love. She’s sad. All she wants to do is sing charr metal songs and play guitar, but her (war?)band broke up. But that’s okay! She’s just fine starting a solo career (wrong). She’s definitely not writing songs about heartbreak and loneliness right now…

Next we have Vira! She’s a sopping wet beast alright. She’s very bad at talking to charr bc she grew up away from charr society along with her brother, and she’s just a generally anxious kitty. Apart from that she’s not very pathetic.

Thalys! She is for the most part not pathetic! She definitely was more as a sapling, she was just a tiny little creachure… who wasn’t allowed to get into trouble much to her chagrin. She wasn’t given a lot of opportunities to truly shine in that field thanks to her big bro. But she occasionally has her moments of wet catness.

The least pathetic guy of mine: Randyl! He is so stoic. So strong. He doesn’t even know what pathetic means because he’s so not pathetic that the word is nothing to him.

“Dear Ysaac Vedriet, I thank you for your swift response to my last correspondence! You flatter me so very much, and I am nothing if not honored to tell you of my humble beginnings. I feel that I should clarify that I am not a knight of any particular court, nor was I knighted by any particular person. I have always been strong, and a good fighter, especially as a sapling. I live in Astorea, just outside of the Grove, and the nightmare courtiers often come there to harass the young saplings and cause trouble. I vowed to defend the good people of Astorea from those wicked courtiers, and that is all I have done since! I had learned about the knights of old as a young sylvari and had always hoped to be like them, kind and strong. Over time people began calling me ‘The Knight of Astorea”, and I felt it was very fitting for me to take up that mantle. I was chosen by the sylvari to be their knight, and so that is what I became! I try my hardest to be chivalrous and honorable, although with that mischievous Corynn leading the courtiers in this area it can be hard…”

Evil bastard incoming!!! Veloren! He’s a nightmare courtier who’s absolutely awful. He was Corynn and Gwen’s boss, and has a thing for torturing people. He emotionally and physically manipulated Gwen and they had a weird relationship. He left the court to make a deal with Mordremoth during HoT, which granted him some very nice mordrem strength at the cost of vampirism. He now owns a mansion staffed by his old courtiers, and hosts parties where he eats his guests at the end. He has mind control spores, and is a spiteful little bastard through and through. He’s cocky, dramatic, and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Mordremoth’s cringefail vampire. I hate him.
