➳ Masterlist
•─────⋅☾ ☽⋅─────•
Amanda and David Williamson had had enough. Since school started again, they have received nothing but bad news from their youngest daughter’s school – your school. At first, it was just forgotten homework, until you missed attendance a couple of times – then they made sure, that you did in fact go to school and classes. But after getting better, it got worse again – you had started to misbehave more and more, talking back to your teachers and being constantly rude to everyone around you.
It was stressful. Of course, you didn’t change your behavior overnight, and you didn’t change because you were bored – but nobody seemed to care. Leah had moved to central London a couple of years ago and your older brother Jacob moved to Australia – leaving you all alone in your parent's home.
They weren’t bad people or bad parents, but they were busy. Work. All day, every day. Both of them had already been older when they had you – Leah already eleven, and Jacob seven when she was ‘blessed’ with a younger sister.
The footballer loved to tell you how your first meeting went, boasting to everybody that you wouldn’t stop crying until she held you for the first time, falling asleep in her skinny, little arms. It was her favorite picture of you as a baby, even to this day.
When your principal called Amanda at work for the third time that week, she was done trying. Instead of picking you up, she told the man on the other side of the phone to let you walk home – no matter how much you whined. To his surprise you did not even complain, taking your bag and walking out the door – dull, tired eyes and an empty smile on your face. You finally did it. Maybe you never had to go back. Maybe they finally gave up on you.
Once you had arrived home you were drenched by the London rain, shivering as you made your way through an empty house, taking a shower before you started cleaning up your muddy footsteps. Everything was normal until no one came home. Usually, your mom would get home at five and your day by eight – but now it was already nine and no one was answering your texts.
The lock of the front door ruckled, and after a few tries, it was finally flung open. Like in a bad horror movie a silhouette was shown by lighting in the background – but after a deafening silence aside from the falling rain, Leah stepped inside. Her hair kept back in a beanie and a bag of take-out food in her hand – “I’m homeee!”
You took the food into the kitchen before handing her towels and dry clothes, leaving her to get changed. “You, my love, are the best sister, ever!” By now you had plated the food and set up on the couch, two glasses, and a bottle of wine. “I’m your only sister, Lee.” Her blue eyes softened at your weak voice. “I knowww, but you’re always so good to me.” She pulled you into a tight hug, almost afraid to let you go.
You handed her one of the plates, two slices of Pizza on it – your joined favorite – as she eyes the glasses. “Aren’t you a little too young to drink, Missy?” A sheepish smile was the only response that she got, and it was enough. Leah could see that something was up.
Usually, you had time to prepare when she visited, knowing of it beforehand – but today was different, she just showed up. You didn’t have time to hide the bags beneath your eyes, or do your hair in a way that didn’t look completely life-less – and she noticed. Of course, Leah noticed. She would always notice.
You ate dinner in silence for a while, just happy to be in each other's presence, having missed that feeling once Leah had moved out and you had gotten older. But when both plates were clean, Leah literally licking the crumbs off them, you couldn’t take it anymore. “I’m guessing you’re the one I have to thank for Mum and Dad being somewhere else?”
Your older sister swallowed hard, knowing that you would ask, but she had still hoped that she could gently lead you into the conversation. “Yeah, they’re at my place.” Leah’s place was a stunning apartment closer to the Arsenal training facility. As gently as she could, she took your hands into hers, immediately noticing how cold they were.
“They told me that you’ve been havin’ trouble in school. What’s goin on Bug?” You hated that look. Leah’s eyes clouded with worry terrified you. She really did care, and while that was nice to know, it also meant, that you would hurt her, no matter what.
“Mom doesn’t know what to do anymore, and Dad- he, well he doesn’t either.” Of course, you knew that. Your mother's tired eyes nearly mirrored your own. But you couldn’t tell them. They wouldn’t understand.
The silence was deafening, and your older sister tried to be subtle with her concerned staring. Sadly for both of you, Leah’s subtle was like an elephant in a fine China store. She really did try not to coax anything out of you, wanting you to feel safe enough to open up.
“School’s just not my thing.”
Both of you knew that you were lying – you loved learning new things and while school might not have the right topics for you, it was better than dying dumb.
The Arsenal player’s eyebrow was intimidating enough for you to just give up. You were tired of fighting your feelings, hurting yourself and everybody else.
“Why are you so rude to the people in your class?” She really was serious, there was no backing out now. “They are not nice people.” Her gaze hardened, her suspicions forming even further. “Why don't you like them?”
But she was met with silence. While you wanted to let her know, that those kids were mean ones, you didn’t want to tell her why they were so mean to you. It would break your sister's heart.
“Okay, what about your football team? Do you have any friends there?” Every time your eyes wandered up from staring at your joined hands to meet Leah’s, they snapped back down. The look in her eyes was terrifying. She seemed scared.
And it was all your fault.
“Oh, I stopped playing football.” Your parents hadn’t even noticed. You washed your own laundry, so when at some point your sweaty training clothes stopped showing up, no one noticed. The only one who did was your trainer – she was now missing one of the most known last names in English women’s football in her team.
You didn’t need to look at your sister to know that she was shocked, her stunned silence doing all the talking. “W-What to do you mean – You quit? But you love football!” You did. You loved watching Leah and her teammates play football, there was so much passion on the field, silent understanding, and mastered routines when they played. “Just drop it, Leah.”
Realization set in for the England captain – you were growing up. Gone was her little sister, who would do anything to be like her. The little sister who worshipped the ground she walked on.
“Why did you quit then? Mom didn’t tell me about it. Why didn’t you call?” You had downed the contents of your wine glass, stealing Leah’s as well. It scared her, just how tired you looked. “Didn’t want to interrupt your day, you’re a busy woman now. Mom always says that.” You took a deep breath, before making air quotes “Leah has more important stuff to do now, honey. Don’t call her, what if she is in an interview?”
The silence was suffocating. It never used to be like this, at least not that Leah remembered. “You would have never interrupted. I will always make time for you, Bug.” As much as you wanted to believe that, you couldn’t. No one made time for you. Not even your mom and dad, who used to do so many exciting things with all their kids in the house. But it was different now. With Leah and Jacob gone.
“A phone works both ways, Leah.”
The footballer was stunned. You were right. She was complaining to your mum, on and on, about how she didn’t know what was happening in your life – but she herself made no effort to change that.
“You’re right. I’m sorry.” Her confession and apology meant everything to you – even if you feared, that they were empty.
The wine bottle was now empty, and Leah still sober – but that was her plan, and it was working a charm, as your slightly slurred words started to pour out.
“I am so proud of you. You know?” A deep sniffle filled the brief silence “Winning the home European Championship, leading the team to the win, playing every game.” Your eyes were staring into space, as your sisters’ hands tried to warm yours, scared of how hollow you looked and felt. “But it’s not easy living up to that, you know?”
You once again grabbed the glass, disappointed when it was empty. But you didn’t get up to get more. “All everyone said when we went back to school, was how I would never be as good as you.” Tears threatened to fall from Leah’s eyes as things started to make sense. “That’s not true, y-“ but you didn’t let her finish her desperate try to change your mind. “It is true, Leah. I will never be as good as you – because I don’t really like football that much. Your passion and love for it, made you work harder to get where you are right now. I just played so that Jacob and you had something to talk to me about.”
Your whole life you had been pretending to love the game just as much as your siblings did – and when Leah thought back on it, she started to see it. You never had a team you supported, but it was always the one she had played for, or preferred. Not a single well-known footballer came to your mind when you were asked. The only answer you would give? ‘My sister, Leah. She is my favorite footballer of all time.’
“People had never been the kindest to me. I mean I could handle it when they just made fun of me for defending you. But after the win, all of a sudden everyone loved you, and then I was the one they were hurling insults at.” Tears made their way down the blonde's face, leaving a salty taste on her lips. “What did you need to defend me from?”
She knew it was bad the moment that your hands let go of hers. Seeking space. “Well, people knew. They knew about you and Jordan.” Sobs started to wreck her body as you desperately tried to soothe her by rubbing her back.
People were insulting her for being gay, and you stood up for her, making yourself the target.
“Bug, I- I don’t know what to say…”
The tipsyness started to make way for your guilt. She wasn’t supposed to know. You knew that it would break her heart, knowing what was happening at school.
“I hoped, that if I acted cold enough, people would leave me alone. But they didn’t. I tried to tell Mum that I wanted to change schools, but she was busy.” Now she understood. You tried to get yourself kicked out of school so that your parents had no choice but to notice and send you to a new one, where you could start over.
“I am so sorry. You shouldn’t have to go through that.” Your gaze finally met hers, gone was her baby sister. The teen in front of her was much too mature for her age, needing to wise up after being left all alone in the world.
“I know Lee.”
My god. What had she done? Leah Williamson was sure if there was an award for being the worst sister – she would have surely won it.

Unlovable Child
Jenna Ortega x Autistic!Male!Reader
Warnings: Child abuse
2nd Person POV
"I'm going out of town for a week to see my parents" you tell Jenna. The two of you were snuggled up together on the couch, binge watching The Mandalorian on Disney+.
"Oh, do you want some company?" Jenna offered to which you shook your head no. Your parents wasn't exactly the gold standard when it comes to parenting, in fact they'd probably win an award as being one of the worst.
You've never discussed your parents with Jenna because of this, not wanting her to be involved with them due to their toxic nature. You feared that exposing them to her would only cause more trouble than its worth.
"You sure you don't want me to come with? I can--"
"No no you really don't have to" you said, cutting her off a little too quickly to go unnoticed. She gave you a look of suspicion, knowing there was likely some underlying tension between your parents and you.
You tried to put her at ease "I-I mean... they haven't seen me for a while... I wouldn't want to overwhelm them by introducing you to them... y'know given your fame and all. No offence"
Your stuttering and lack of a believable reason wasn't enough to ease Jenna's growing concern for you, but she smiled anyway, which in turn made you smile. You knew she wasn't convinced.
She pulled you in closer, making sure you were nestled into her chest. She had a feeling deep down that you were keeping something from; something terrible. Anxiousness flooded her nervous system, making her rethink about letting you go.
Her heartbeat quickened because of this, something you caught by having your head on her chest. "Jenna? Are you okay?" You asked.
She looked at you and smiled to put you at ease "Everything's fine, sweet boy. Everything's okay." She reassured, kissing your forehead to ease your worries.
But it wasn't her you were worried about, it was meeting your parents for the first time in years. The last time you spoke to your parents was 2 years prior, just before you moved out for your new job, just before you met Jenna for the first time. It didn't exactly end on the greatest of terms.
You parents were vile; abelists who took pleasure in calling you the most horrid of insults for their own sick pleasure. It made them feel better about themselves, like they were superior. They were never proud of you, even though your academics should make them so. They could never be proud of someone like you, someone who was autistic.
Of course, with many dysfunctional households come with their fair share of physical abuse, which in your case was fairly common place. The slightest of mistakes ended in severe punishment, that being knocking a drink over, talking to loudly .etc.
You were deemed a failure in the eyes of your parents despite everything you've accomplished in school, your well paying job; it meant nothing. You were never good enough for them. You were simply too much of a "spaz" to love. You were nothing to them, only when money was an issue were you of any use.
You held Jenna a little tighter just think about this. Painful memories from your past flashed through your mind, reminding you of the awful people they were.
But you maybe they had changed, maybe they realised the error of their ways, you naively thought to yourself, only setting yourself up for a meeting that would inevitably send you crashing down.
But you had to believe. "They have changed. Of course they changed, they only said and did all that stuff to make me into the man I am today. They love me. Don't they?"
- 1 day later
Jenna was on the phone with her director discussing filming dates. She was currently working multiple films at once and needed to negotiate dates so that it wouldn't impede on her schedule.
You always admired how she could do so many films at once, though, you wished she would take a break sometimes as it can tire her out.
Jenna's phone call was immediately interrupted by the sound of the door opening revealing your figure. "Mark I'm gonna have to call you back" she hangs up the phone, confused as to why you were back 6 days earlier than anticipated.
You were wearing sunglasses, unusual considering the weather outside was quite gloomy. Perhaps you just felt like wearing them, she thought to herself.
"Hi, baby boy." She kisses your cheek, but noticed that it looked awfully red and... swollen? "You're back early. Did everything go okay down there?" Jenna asked to which you nodded with a smile, albeit a dishonest smile.
"Yeah everything went great, just gad to cut the trip short because they were busy and stuff. My parents are busy people after all" you say in a somewhat cheery tone. The swollen part of your face was pulsing, as though the nerve endings in your face had been set alight.
Jenna continued to examine your face, still finding it strange that you haven't taken off your shades yet. "Wait, he wasn't even wearing shades when he left. Why was he wearing them now?" She thought, trying to ascertain the situation.
She noticed your hands were shaking; odd considering you were always calm around her most of the time and it wasn't cold indoors because of the heating. One of your arms was holding your stomach too.
All this information, combined with the fact that your back 6 days ahead of schedule is enough to tell Jenna that something was very very wrong.
"Hey babe can you take off those glasses for me? I wanna see those pretty eyes of yours." She asked sweetly, forceful was not the right approach. You looked at her, trying to strum up a lame excuse not to oblige.
"No!" He exclaims, catching Jenna off guard. You quickly try to come up with a better excuse. "I mean i-it's really bright in here Jenna, my eyes are kinda tired from driving, y'know" you play off terribly, adding a smile to try and convince otherwise.
Jenna isn't buying it, you know this. She's too smart. "Y/N your face is bright red, and swollen" His smile quickly drops. "Your hands are shaking too, and I can see a cut behind your hair. You and I both know it isn't cold in here and that cut is recent too." She exhales sadly, turning her attention too your stomach "You're holding you're stomach babe, like you're in pain. What happened over there?"
You panic, you knew she wasn't an idiot but you can't bare to let her find out about your parents, about your past. It was too embarrassing, she'd surely leave you for not being man enough to fight back. That what your father had conditioned you to believe, that you weren't a real man because of your condition, that you were sub-human.
"I-I d-dont--" "let me see your eyes, my love" bowing your head in defeat, you allowed Jenna to remove your shades, the sight horrified her, sending shivers down to the deepest depths of her soul. She gasped, her hands covering her mouth as you she saw the damage.
A massive purple bruise covered your right eye, the eye itself was completely red. The area around the eye was completely swollen too. The left eye was also bruised, not as bad but still bruised nonetheless.
Anger bubbled within Jenna, the prospect of someone hurting her baby was sickening to her, she knoew this had to be your parent's doing. "They did this to you, didn't they"
"W-what no! They would never do this to me. My family love me, Jenna. They do" you tried convince her, you tried to convince yourself mostly. Tears pricked at your eyes, stinging even more due to the beating you took.
"Honey... why would they do this to you? What happened?" She asked gently with a tinge of sadness in her tone. You couldn't keep up with the lie any longer.
You took a deep breath. You wanted to tell her what happened, tell her about the desperation you felt when your father's belt connected with your back. How your mother held you down as he did it, beating and beating and beating you for being the spaz who disappointed his parents just by looking at him. She held your hands "It's okay. It's just me. Just Jenna"
A single tear fell down your cheek causing Jenna to wipe it away. "They wanted money..." you started, taking a deep breath before continuing "They wanted money that were apparently "owed" for not getting rid of me. I said no, and I'm sure you can imagine how they reacted to that. They beat me, Jenna. They both did. I couldn't stop them, I tried as hard as I could but they kept..." you sniffled, holding back what would have been a giant sob.
"They kept pummelling me with the belt, punching me in the stomach. Mom held me down and I couldn't anything. They said I was unlovable... I'm unlovable, Jenna!" He broke down completely, falling onto his knees. Your emotions that you'd been holding since you left your parents had escaped, the dull pain now fresh again.
Jenna lifted the back of your shirt to find the purple lashes that layed there, where your father had taken out his anger with the belt. She immediately held you, her own eyes tearing up at your broken state. You clung to her like a lifeline.
"Shhhh, its okay baby. You're safe now. You're safe with me again." He whales in anguish and pain, his sobs became louder as each one left his mouth.
"Jen it hurts" you said like a scared child, exactly what you were at your parent's house.
Upon hearing this Jenna decided it was best for you to lay down on your side to avoid laying on your lashed back. "Come on, honey let's lay you on the couch. Lay on your side for me, my sweet." You did as instructed.
She lifted up your top to see the bruises on your stomach, purple and still fresh. She was going to annihilate your parents, but that comes later. "I'm gonna go get an ice pack, then we're taking you to the hospital"
"No! No! Please no doctors!" You pleaded
She knelt down and stroked your hair to out you at ease as best she could "Shh shh shh, don't think about that now okay. Let me go get an ice pack for your stomach. I'll be right back." She left quickly for the ice, returning as quickly as she left.
She lifted up your shirt and let you get ready for the ice. "On three. One. Two. Three." She presses the ice to your abdomen, the cooling sensation soothed the pain little by little bringing you great relief. "Good boy baby, you being so brave for me" she cooed, kissing the top of his head.
She held the ice pack as you writhed in pain on the couch. Her free hand alternates between rubbing your arm and combing through your hair. She placed little kisses on your swollen cheek, not hurting at all when she did.
The recollection of events that played in your mind caused you to cry again. Jenna brought your head into her neck as she held you close, her skin absorbing most of the tears. "Oh baby, please don't cry. You're not unlovable. You're my very beautiful boy who I love so very very much. They don't deserve you."
You held onto her tight, thinking how lucky you were to have such a wonderful woman in your life. Your parents would've definitely said you didn't deserve her, and maybe you didn't. But that didn't detract from how much you loved her, and appreciated her.
"I love you, Y/N. I love you with every fibre of my being" hearing this made you smile out of pure gratitude and love.
"I love you too, Jenna" you say, voice still wobbly from crying. You pulled your head from the crook of her neck and the two of you just smile at each other, you took in the beauty of her face while Jenna gazed upon your battered one. She pulls you in for a gentle kiss, a long kiss that you desperately needed.
"Bubs we do need to get your tummy looked at. We'll call my mom to have a look at you, but we may need to go to the hospital if it's bad. We can do all that tomorrow though, just rest in my arms for now. Can you do that for me?" You nodded your head "I won't let them get away with this Y/N. Mark my words they're finished."
You'd never seen Jenna this angry, but it brought a strange sense of reassurance, like everything was going to be okay. "Can we watch a movie? I wanna take my mind off of this"
"Of course we can, bubs. What do you wanna watch? Empire strikes back?" She asked, knowing how much you loved that movie. You nodded making her smile and kiss you again.
She layed down next to you, inviting you to curl up next to her and lay your head on her chest. "You're not unlovable, flower. You're a very loveable and amazing person." You smile at her words, Jenna loved you very much and today was evidence of that.
She cradles your body in her arms, still feeling you tremble from everything that has happened. It would be a long road to you heal from this but she'd be with you the whole way there.
She gently rocks you while you watch the film, the sight of Darth Vader igniting your child-like love that Jenna adored.
"Hey bubs, promise you'll never think yourself as unlovable. Promise me that my love."
"I promise." You say, even though you still didn't fully believe it. Your parents words still hurt.
"Good boy. My special beautiful boy"

No, you don’t get to do this | Leah Williamson
Summary Leah drunken mistakes lead to the worst consequences
It had started out as a normal day.
You had woken up with the strong arms of your girlfriend, Leah, wrapped around you.
Knowing she had a long day full of training, you slipped out of her embrace and made your way downstairs to make her breakfast.
The connection you both had was so strong, that as soon as you had finished making it, she walked down the stairs.
You had both met when you were 16, and Leah 17. She had walked into you whilst walking round the local park, and to make it up to you, she offered to buy you a drink at the cafe near by.
You went on several dates after that, before finally, you shared a kiss and Leah asked you to be her girlfriend.
Since then, you've only expanded your love day by day and the love you felt seemed that it would never die out.
That was only how it felt for you though.
Whilst Leah was at training, you had gone out shopping, buying all the essentials you'd need for the next week.
Once you arrived back home, you made yourself some lunch before sitting down and grabbing your phone, for the first time that day.
You caught up on everything there was to see before finally clicking on Instagram.
There was one specific notification on instagram that caught your attention.
You and Leah liked to keep your relationship private, you always had.
But people liked to investigate you, and your relationship with Leah. I mean, of course they would, you were in a relationship with England's captain.
Because of this, the fans knew you just as much as they did Leah.
So, when you were tagged in videos, you thought nothing of them.
Sometimes you clicked on them because you thought why not. Sometimes you didn't.
But as soon as you clicked on the latest notification, your heart shattered.
In front of your eyes, lay a picture of Leah, your Leah, kissing another girl.
It had been taken from last Friday. Leah went out with a close friend of hers, Alex Scott, and decided to wear a new suit she had bought, the exact suit she was wearing in the picture.
Almost immediately after realising what the picture was telling you, tears started to run down your face.
Leah had kissed a girl, a girl that wasn't you.
You put your lunch down on the table, there was no way you could eat now, your appetite had gone.
You felt disgusted. Disgusted by Leah's actions.
You ran up the stairs before collapsing onto the bed.
You buried your head in the pillow, soaking it with your tears.
Your eyelids started falling and with the exhaustion from crying, they finally gave way and you fell into a deep sleep.
You only awoke again once you heard the sound of keys.
"Baby, I'm home." Leah's voice filled the house.
The memories of the picture flooded your head and once again, tears escaped your eyes.
"Baby? Where are you?" Leah asked, confusion clear in her voice.
The sound of footsteps became louder before finally, the door to your shared bedroom opened.
"Oh, my love, why are you crying? Come here." Leah stepped closer, ushering you into a hug.
"No."
"What? What's wrong? You can tell me anything, baby. I'm here." Leah once again tried to hug you, but this time you pushed her away.
"No, you don't get to do this. You don't get to come in here, into our house, Leah, and act like nothings wrong." You tried to shout at her, but your voice was hoarse from the crying and exhaustion.
"What are you talking about?"
"How could you, Leah? I thought you were mine and I was yours. Clearly not anymore. I can't believe you." Your voice broke as tears continued to stream down your face.
"Listen, my love, I'm so sorry. I was so drunk and so was she. It was a regret as soon as I pulled away. You've got to believe me, Y/N. I love you, only you." Leah said, coming to realisation about what you were on about.
"Get out." You managed to say, full of pain.
You never imagined yourself and Leah in this situation.
And here you were, watching Leah pack a bag with her essentials in.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N. I love you so much, I'll only ever love you. I was so fucking stupid." Leah apologised again, and you shook your head in response, you couldn't deal with any more of this, not tonight anyway.
It had started as a normal day, waking with Leah beside you, and now you were falling asleep, feeling cold and empty, with no Leah in bed.
The following day, you stayed in bed.
You physically couldn't move. The only thing that clouded your mind was the picture of Leah and that woman.
You had never experienced a break up before.
Leah was your first everything.
Your first relationship, your first kiss, your first time.
Which is why this break up was even harder for you. It had always been you and Leah, and now it wasn't.
You were cuddled up in the duvet, but yet, you still felt cold.
And you only felt colder when you finally left the bed because the doorbell had gone off.
You left your bedroom, and the sound of silence filled your ears.
You reached the door and opened it to find a big bouquet of flowers.
You picked them up, walking back inside and put them on the kitchen counter.
Buried inside them was a single note.
I'm so sorry, baby.
- your L
You burst into tears. You didn't know what to do.
On one hand, you never wanted to speak to Leah again. But on the other, you just wanted your Leah back.
Your want for Leah back expanded again when you were laying in bed that night.
You couldn't fall asleep. Your bed was empty without Leah beside you.
Over the next few days, Leah had messaged to say sorry, and at 2 o'clock everyday, the doorbell went off.
Every time you opened the door, you were met with a small gift.
On the first day, it was flowers, the second day, it was chocolate, today, it was a hot chocolate.
To anyone else, a cup of hot chocolate would have been a random things to give to someone when trying to say sorry.
But to you, it was a thoughtful gift that happened to be an inside joke for you and Leah.
On your first date with Leah, when she took you to the local cafe, you had asked for a hot chocolate, in a take away cup.
You hated the taste of coffee but wanted to look sophisticated and so asked for a hot chocolate in a to go cup so you could make out that it was coffee.
When Leah found out, she fell into a laughing fit and has never forgotten since.
Once you bought the hot chocolate inside, you chuckled to yourself, before tears welled in your eyes.
Later on that night, you settled yourself on the sofa and put on a movie that you hadn't watched in a while.
Midway through, the doorbell went again.
You hesitantly got up, not knowing who it was and the fact that it was 9:30.
You opened it cautiously to be met with Leah's face.
"Can we talk?" She asked and you nodded.
"I don't know if you've gotten the message or not, but I am so sorry. I regret kissing that woman, I regret going out that night, I regret everything about that night. I drank so much that night and something came over me, but I love you Y/N/N. Only you. I will do whatever it takes to get you back. I just — I can't lose you. And I know I probably already have, but I'll try my hardest. I can't fall asleep at night because you're not there. I can't close my eyes because all I see is you, and it kills me knowing that I can't be with you. It's always been Leah and Y/N. I can't be just Leah." Leah explains, her voice breaking towards the end.
"Le, I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything. It's unfair that I just came here. I'm sorry." Leah turned around quickly, walking towards the door.
"Leah, wait." You call out. She turns around again, hope in her eyes. "You promise you won't do anything like that again?"
"I promise. God, I was so stupid. I won't do anything like that again. You're the only one I want to kiss." Leah says, tears falling from her eyes.
"Good, because you're the only one I want to kiss too." You say and rest both your hands on her face, your thumbs wiping her tears away.
"I'm so sorry, baby. I'm so so sorry." Leah sobs and rests her forehead on yours.
"Ssh, I know you are. I know." You coo and press a light kiss to her head.
"Can I kiss you?" Leah asks and without answering, you plant your lips on hers.
It was a slow kiss, but a kiss where all of the love you felt for one another was poured into it.
As the kiss came to an end, you felt Leah smile against your lips, before burying her head in your neck.
"Thank you so much for giving me another chance." Leah mumbled into your neck
"You've still got a lot of making up to do, missy."
"I know, and I will."
"I know you will." You smile and reconnected your lips.

Who's Your Favourite?
Jung Hoseok/Actress!Reader
Pt.1, pt.2
Summary: You are on the Jimmy Fallon show with BTS. Will this chance encounter leas to something more?
Warnings: female reader, fluff
Word count: 798 M.list
You were currently on the Jimmy Fallon show to promote your new movie and you were internally freaking out. Talk shows and interviews were nothing new to you, having been in the industry since a young age but... the fact that you were sitting next to the BTS members on the small couch was making you sweat with nerves.
‘Now Y/N we all know you are an extremely talented actress...’ You blushed at the praise. ‘But is it true that you are fluent in Korean too? I only ask since we have certain guests here who would love to hear it.’
‘Ah yes, I’ve been learning since I was a teenager, though I still make mistakes sometimes.’
‘And you are a big BTS fan right?’ He gestured to the men sitting beside you with a smile. You chanced a glance over your shoulder and Namjoon flashed you a warm smile when you caught his eye. You looked back to Jimmy with a tight smile as you gave a slight nod, causing the audience to cheer.
‘Who’s your favourite member?’ He suddenly blurted out with a smirk, causing your eyes to widen.
‘Ah..’ You let out with a laugh, burying your face in your hands.
‘Hey Jimmy, are you trying to play matchmaker right now?’ Namjoon jumped in, only making the situation worse.
‘No no, I’m just genuinely curious.’
‘Umm.’ You looked up with a timid smile as your eyes glanced over the smiling members, finally accepting your fate and getting it over with. You lifted your hand and pointed behind you.
‘Me!?’ J-Hope exclaimed when you motioned to him.
‘She say’s you are her favourite member.’ Namjoon explained in Korean, making Hoseok look over to you with a cocky smile. To avoid making a bigger fool of yourself, you turned to look at them all, face still beet red and started to explain yourself in Korean.
‘I love all of you equally but I was always drawn more towards J-Hope is all.’ The members faces all lit up in shock when they realised how good your Korean actually was.
‘Ok anyway..’
The rest of the interview went by without a hitch, all of you enjoying yourselves. You were currently backstage , just leaving your dressing room when you heard someone call out to you in Korean.
‘Ah! I’m glad I caught you.’ You looked up from your phone and your breath hitched in your throat when you saw who was jogging towards you. Hoseok was smiling wide as he came to a stop in front of you.
‘Oh hello again!’ You beamed back at him.
‘I just wanted to say that it was great meeting you today.’
‘Yeah I feel the same way.’ You agreed with a nod. ‘I just wanted to say though, I’m sorry if I made it awkward when I said you were my favourite member.’ You rubbed your arm as you spoke, slightly embarrassed.
‘Ah no I’m flattered honestly!’ He waved his hands slightly in front of himself and you let out a sigh of relief when you realised he wasn’t upset.
‘Good I’m glad.’ There were a few moments of tense silence between the two of you before he spoke up.
‘So we’re in the US for a few more days and I was wondering if you’d like to go to dinner with me?’ That definitely caught your attention, perking up instantly as blush once again rose to your cheeks, staring wide eyes at the man in front of you. The smile slightly dropped from his face, loosing confidence due to your silence.
‘Only if you want to that is...’ He spoke timidly, causing you to snap out of your daze.
‘No of course, I’d love to!’ You answered quickly, beaming up at him. His smile returned at your response.
‘Ah great! You had me worried for a second’ Both of you let out small laughs.
‘Here lets trade numbers and I’ll text you the details.’ You eagerly agreed and swapped phones with him to enter your number. Both of you just stood there for a few moments, smiling like goof balls.
‘Well uh, I better get going. Everybody is waiting on me.’
‘Of course! Again it was great to meet you and I look forward to our date!.’ He couldn’t help but blush slightly at the word date but he hid it well as he turned to leave, giving you a final small wave. You watched as he walked back towards his waiting members, corners of your mouth tugging upwards. Turning to walk away, you felt your phone ping in your hand.
Hobi
Can’t wait to get to know you better! Hopefully our date will be the first of many!
See you soon!
(p.s you can call me Hobi if you like)

Thess vs Christmas Shopping
My friends have told me that the working from home has really been doing me very obvious good. Which I entirely agree with. Just one minor problem with feeling better: it’s easier to forget that there are still limitations.
My mother finally gave me some ideas for things for the parentals for Christmas. I mean, their primary want was for me to not spend too much money, which was going to happen anyway. Seriously, all I wanted was some indications of what sorts of flavours they like so I could maybe make them things. And if my stepfather was actually good with consumables this year because last year was “EVERYONE got me food last year; please stop”. Apparently the ban on food for my stepfather has been lifted this year. So I finally found out that my mother’s into caramel these days and as for my stepfather ... well, we wanted something that they never get because my mother hates it but my stepfather likes it, so it essentially came down to peanut butter.
All of this? Necessitated a shopping trip. I needed to go out for pain meds and probably some antihistamines anyway--
Oh yeah, did I mention that I’ve now developed something called dyshidrotic ezcema on my hands - well, technically only on my right hand, which is really annoying - and now I have itchy, painful bumps along most of the fingers. The websites recommended antihistamines to help the itching, so I’m doing that. Still, this is my life. Yaaaaaaaaay.
--right, so,needed the big Sainsbury’s with its equally big pharmacy section and pharmacy counter. I knew it was going to be bad. I knew it was going to be crowded. But I was feeling pretty good so I thought, yeah, okay, I can handle this.
As I went through the various bits of shopping, I realised that this would henceforth be known as Mistake Number One. Because I was getting ingredients for two different types of fudge and cookies (I mean, okay, three-ingredient peanut butter cookies, but still), and meds, and a couple of gifts (my mother’s birthday is tomorrow, I’m meeting her for dinner on Tuesday, and I was going to just give her a keyring but there were these little unicorn-shaped Christmas tree lights and she collects unicorns and they were on sale so those are for her birthday and the resin keyring I made for her will be part of the Christmas present), and some kitchen essentials, and some groceries to tide me over during the holiday period. The expense of it was manageable. The weight? Oof. But I didn’t have that many options. I have no illusions that there’s going to be a grocery delivery slot available any time before the New Year.
So that was a not-very-fun hour or so. People standing indecisive in front of things I wanted and refusing to move. People parking their trolleys in the middle of the aisle. People shoving their carts around with their eyes on the shopping list on their phones instead of the people they were about to hit with their carts (seriously, one of them was going backwards while she did this). And then, of course, not only was the bus crowded but this one lady insisted on barging in front of me and taking up the priority seats so that I had to haul myself up onto one of the higher seats and precariously balance way too much shopping. And on top of all of that? It was raining. I mean, at least the temperature’s above freezing now. Just ... not very high above freezing. If it freezes overnight, we’re going to have a bigger black ice problem than we already do. Doesn’t look like it’s going to, though; in fact, looks like it’s going to go into the double digits by tomorrow, the temperature!
...I normally like it when it snows. Disability and this country’s horrific energy tariffs have broken me, apparently.
Anyway, point is that I Got Shit Done. I got:
Some Thess’ Kitchen Essentials, mostly enough fixings for tuna broccoli lemon pasta for quite some time (low on broccoli, but that was too much to contemplate so I’ll have to go out to one of the smaller grocery stores tomorrow) but also stuff like vegetable oil (FUCK that got expensive) and coffee
A chunk of lamb breast for roasting - probably Christmas Eve dinner - and some potatoes to have with it
The unicorn-shaped Christmas lights, and a box of sample-sized speciality liqueurs for Mum
Another box of the same speciality liqueurs because I found a recipe for microwave boozy fudge so I figure I’ll make her some salted caramel vodka fudge and I can have espresso martini fudge
Fixings for various types of fudge for both parentals and three-ingredient peanut butter cookies for David. This involved a fair bit of sugar, some eggs, two tins of sweetened condensed milk, butter, and the aforementioned peanut butter in a big damn jar
A couple of treats for me (gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, some gummy sweets, some cola)
Just imagine what that was like to lug home.
So yeah, I did a stupid thing and now I am paying for it. I feel accomplished, even if I do also feel in immense pain. Now I’m just going to sit and whimper for awhile. At least I won’t have to do quite that much again until the New Year, when there won’t be any particular reason to rush a grocery shop.

One week so far in Paris...
Wow, I cannot believe it has been a week already.
I find it a little difficult to navigate how to do these blog posts - I want to share everything, but then it becomes more of a diary as opposed to something others are intended to read.
My mum was with me for 4 nights which really helped me settle in. We were in a hotel in the 13th arrondissement and going to Grenoble to visit my friend in the summer really gave me the confidence to order in French!
Spent the beginning just sorting out admin stuff, like getting a french phone number, bank account, travel passes etc (still needs to be sorted because there is YET again, more admin issues).
This is a random idea, but when I properly move into my studio and get into a routine, I would love to draft up perhaps new sketches for these French websites.
I am not going to lie, with the level of nerves I felt before coming, I have been coping way better than I thought I would. In fact, it is not even a coping type thing. I feel really calm and proud of myself? I really thought I would be feeling really emotional and strange. Perhaps that is to come, as it is still early days haha. I am just excited because I am already witnessing much more compassion with myself, as well as having that, "it is what it is mentality", accepting things for what they are and allowing myself to laugh at my mistakes and not take things personally.
On the Thursday, there was an Erasmus Bar night thing which I decided to brave and go alone. In the end, it had been cancelled and I only found out once I was there. Past me would probably have been bummed and felt like, of course that happened to me, and perhaps even embarrassed. But I walked away from there with a smile on my face because I had taken that step! Just the act of doing that was encouraging. The day after I braved another Rugby night event thing alone. It was a bit difficult at first because I was late and people were already in groups. I spoke to these two lovely girls, who ended up being Erasmus volunteers LOOL. So, essentially their role was to be lovely. I felt a bit disheartened by this and was considering leaving. But then a German girl came down alone too and we got chatting! Relating to people on stuff is always a nice feeling - we spoke about the stresses of trying to find housing in Paris and the other hurdles we have to over come. Then, a volunteer let us know there were some other Germans at this event, so she went to speak to them. I asked for her socials and will be nice to meet with her at some point - then I left. I felt a slight wave of sadness but nothing major.
Progress is not linear, however I do feel like I can see myself becoming better at observing my feelings rather than submitting to them wholeheartedly. Like, feeling a slight wave of one emotion and then turning it up x1000 in my brain so that it becomes overwhelming. And also, just learning to deep everything that concerns the situation. Such as, remembering I have been here for such a little amount of time.
The following day was the meeting at my university. There were so many people outside and I got speaking to the sweetest Spanish girl. She was really friendly and had a good energy about her. A group of guys behind us were also Spanish so they got chatting. We got into the meeting and it was a general introduction type session. It's kind of funny - because everyone hammered into me that French people are "rude", it means that I expect that, and most I have come across have been nothing but sweet and helpful. I believe it is just a kind of, no-nonsense bluntness that also comes because of translating. e.g. they are not native English so it can come across ruder.
Went for cocktails with the Spanish people I met in a really fancy room. It was really giving Parisian with its high ceilings and beautiful balcony. I love the architecture here so much. I've realised I am a lot more interested in that than I think, buildings really stand out to me.
The champagne was open bar and canapes are never really filling, and we all decided to go out to a pub type place after so I was really feeling it haha. I think this event was actually for the university I was originally supposed to attend, but they are quite connected I believe? Especially with all of the socialising so there was a lot of exhaustion in the mix. Already, I have learned so much and realised so much. Being from England comes with massive amounts of privilege, especially language wise. The fact that everyone can speak competent English, and that is universal is so wild. I also got to hear more about Spanish politics; I love that coming to quite an esteemed academic place means that those are the kind of conversations that crop up so early on haha. Also semi means there is a sense of maturity from the guys? Unless most UK guys are just very....immature etc. I don't want to bash them as I usually do, but yeah so far I already feel like I have come across European guys here who can uphold intellectually stimulating conversations but also see you as a human before seeing you for your gender?
One thing that is kind of funny though, is that being British, and specifically London, means I got a lot of questions based on the kind of stereotypes that circulate. I got asked if I was "from the ends" and if it is "dangerous" where I am, what I think of Northern Ireland and the referendum, my opinion of King Charles etc. Spoke about Morocco too as one guy was from there and about my experience when I went. I really do enjoy speaking to new people, but ESPECIALLY people that have a good energy about them. I feel that is something I can tell pretty early on. Equally, I can tell when someone is not the kind of person I enjoy having conversations with, or the way they interact with other people etc - it speaks volumes to me.
I felt so drained after that meet up and half napped when I got back to the hotel. Will do a new post for what else has happened!

A heavy sigh escaped your lips as you glanced over to the stacks of paperwork you still had to go through. The daunting pileup that only increases every hour. You sighed again as you thumped your head onto the desk, frail arms just barely cushioning the blow. While staring blankly at your own feet, you spied the wastepaper basket sitting near, completely empty apart from a few used sugar sachets and soggy teabags.
Your eyes flit towards the pile of files again and you couldn't help but wonder what would happen if a few papers landed in the trash can, accidentally, of course. You contemplated for a few more seconds, before you shuddered as you imagined familiar cat-like eyes flit across your vision. You didn't want to really know what would happen if he found out about it, did you?
The minx-like golden eyes flashed once again in your mind as you recalled the fateful day. The day from which everything spiralled downhill.
If only, if only your family hadn't gotten into trouble with the Nekoma clan, things would be different. But no, they had to take a loan and fall into the mercy of Nekoma…
But at least you got off easy, you thought as you cradled your head. At least you and your family didn't suffer the same fate as the others. You were thankful to the head of the Nekoma for giving you the opportunity of paying off the debt through work, instead of the usual means. A shudder ran through your spine as you thought of the stories you've heard, of what happened to the other people who owed the clan money.
A heavy Bam shook you from your stupor as your head jerked up to stare at the new batch of files that had been banged onto the stack. You shook your head to clear your thoughts as you reached for the first file of the batch. It would be better to just get to it and finish it before the end of the day. That's when you noticed the little photograph that slipped out on the floor and you bent to pick it up.
There were four guys in the frame, two of them being the focus of the shot, with goofy big smiles and arms draped around each other, though there was a big red circle drawn around the one with owlish silver hair, the ink of the marker recent enough to smudge a little. The other two guys looked like they were not meant to be in the picture, but oddly that fact only made it so much better.
One with blonde highlights stood grimacing in the background while the other guy's face was barely visible, his body half turned and blurry as if someone had called out to him at the last moment when the picture was being taken.
Overall it looked like a fun bunch of friends but you wondered why there was a circle drawn around one of them. You flipped the picture, curiosity getting the best of you. Finding only a date written you turn the picture again, choosing to focus on the people in there.
“T-these are the next in-line heirs to the Nekoma clan” you whisper lowly to yourself. They were the ones who were supposed to take over in the coming years and were your current bosses. You couldn't wrap your head as to what this was doing in your file. You were given only the most basic work to handle as their secretary, numbers to jot down, business meetings to book and take note of the expenses and make detailed reports about meetings they attend. Maybe this slipped in by mistake somehow ??
You centered in on the person grimacing and the one with bed-hair; cogs turn in your brain as you wondered why these two individuals seemed so similar before something dawns on you and an audible gasp leaves your lips as the picture dropped onto your lap.
With trembling hands you shoved the picture back into the file and hide it at the bottom of the stack, maybe this was a file that was not supposed to be in your hands, fuck fuck fuck. Your eyes skim the room to watch out for anyone observing you. These guys didn't trust you enough to give you such things, so obviously it was misplaced and dumped into your paperwork by accident.
You suddenly noticed Lev jogging towards you and your whole body tensed as he approached. You pretended to work on the other files that were scattered around on your desk, typing random words and numbers into the excel sheet, your gaze was strongly focused on your screen yet everything was blurry. If Lev were to take a peek as to what you were doing at this moment, he would realise that what you were typing was utter bullshit.
“Ah, you remember the stack of files and papers that I just placed here?” He pointed his finger to the stack of papers that still lay stagnant there.
“Yes sir? What can I do for you t-today?” You kicked yourself under the desk for how weird you sounded in the moment, but lucky for you he was in a hurry so he didn't pay much mind to you.
“Can you give those back to me? I think there were five bunches of them, I think I gave you the wrong ones,” he rubbed the back of his head as his voice took an almost sheepish tone by the end.
Without saying anything in return you just nod stiffly before taking the first four files, slowly sneaking in the file that you shoved at the bottom, you softly banged them against the table as if to align them before giving them to him with a small smile.
“Hey Y/n?” Lev called out to you after he cleared his throat. You slowly turned your head towards him trying your best to act innocent as if you hadn't just seen a picture of the mafia head with his friends.
A light pink blush clouded his face as he clumsily took the files from you, bowing a little before he scurries off to give those files to whoever he was supposed to give them to in the first place.
You let out a deep exhale of relief, slumping further into the chair as he turns a corner and goes out of sight. Your phone suddenly buzzes and you yelp as your body jolts upright from the chair, you relax visibly when you notice that it was only a reminder that you had kept on your phone signalling the end of your shift.
Dropping it back onto the table with a clatter you stretched yourself in the chair, a smile gracing your lips as you collect your things to head home, deciding to stop at the grocery store to make a big dinner for the family today, just to relax your mind and console yourself that everything was alright, that you wouldn't be killed for seeing confidential information. It was just a picture, you thought, yeap just a picture that could possibly be a kill target, fuck did you get involved in a crime? You pinched your arm as you walked out of the office, shaking your head of all the negative thoughts.
The keys jingled as you struggled to slide the key into the lock with two grocery bags in hand, the atmosphere eerily silent as you entered the house, you called out for your mom and dad, followed by a soft “tadaima” only to receive no response in return.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
You laughed as you remember that a few days ago your dad tried to make dinner and ended up breaking your mom's favourite ceramic pot while removing one of the pans. She has been so mad at the time that she took a vow to not cook until your dad got her a similar ceramic pot if not a better one.
You entered the living room to find it completely empty, and chill ran down your spine, where were your mom and dad? You walked toward the fridge and suddenly everything made sense when you saw the small sticky note with a haste scribble that said that your parents had gone out at the last minute for a makeup dinner, decorated with a small smiley in the end.
With a broad smile plastered on your lips you placed both the grocery bags on the counter, humming softly to yourself as you removed the items from within the bags. From the corner of your eye you suddenly notice a shadow cross and your body goes rigid. Your hand slowly inched forward before curling around the handle of a pan nearby when a tingling feeling rises up your spine, signalling someone’s approach.
In the room filled with soft rays of evening light you stand ominously still, breath bated as you tighten your clammy grasp, knuckles turning white, cold beads of sweat running down the side of your face. You backhand swung the pan the moment you see a slight shadow come up behind you, but your actions were stopped midway as you were pushed head first onto the counter, your hand with the pan being banged harshly against the cold surface of the marble, forcing you to let go of the pan. The person behind you used their body weight to keep you pinned to the counter as you trash around, trying your best to get hold of any object you can use to defend yourself.
Just as you get your right hand free from under the person’s weight, you feel a pinch on your shoulder and suddenly your body starts losing its strength, eyelids getting heavier and your vision turning blurry. As a last attempt you tried to scream out for help, but the moment you open your mouth a gloved hand clamps down on your lips and you try to trash around, only for him to lean his weight further on you, knocking the air out of your lungs.
Right before you passed out, you faintly heard a phone buzzing and for a second you wondered if it's yours. You fought to stay awake as the man still kept you pinned against the counter, shuffling behind you before a small beep followed by a smooth soft voice reached your ears.
“ I have her Bokuto-san”
That was the last thing you witnessed before losing control over your senses and everything went dark.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
You woke up to a cold concrete floor, a dull throb sitting in the back of your head as you grunted softly, your vision confiscated by a blindfold. The place where you were injected felt like it was on fire, limbs feeling heavy and…
You tried shifting your arms but all you could hear was the clang of metal against the concrete. You tried moving your feet but they were seized with cuffs which were attached to metal chains rooted firmly into the floor. You pushed yourself up onto your knees, only to be pulled back by the chains hooked on cuffs around your wrists, the rattling sound echoing loudly throughout the room along with a disgruntled sob. You held your breath in fear, hoping that no one was around to hear it. The room fell utterly silent as you tried your best to hear for any footsteps, only to be greeted by a soft hum of jazz, barely thrumming in through the walls.
You wanted to cry, scream, trash around, but there you laid, frozen in fear, trying your best to not make a single sound, making it seem like you were still unconscious. You were just delaying the inevitable, buying as much time as you could; you didn't have a single clue as to what you had done to be in such a situation, if it was about the loan, weren't you already paying it off by working? Or did they get tired of waiting?
But hadn’t you walked the perfect line with your job? you didn't have a single complaint from your superiors and your colleagues commended you on it, because it seems that they weren't compatible with just anyone and most of them didn't survive beyond the second week. So why were you here then? Was it the–
Your thoughts were cut short as you heard keys chime on the other side of the door and you froze in your spot, trying your best to pretend that you weren’t awake just a moment ago, tugging on your restraints.
You slowed down your breathing, evening it out just as the door opens, its hinges creaking loudly as you hear a chorus of footsteps pad through the room. But your little act of being asleep was immediately cut short as a bucket of ice cold water was thrown over your body making you jolt upright in shock, gasping and shuddering at the sudden overwhelming sensation.
“Looks like the little kitten is awake now! Let’s get this over with, shall we?” A deep voice boomed throughout the room, and you cower back a little, chains clanking along with you.
“Akaashi, remove her restraints but keep the cuffs on her hands.” The same authoritative voice commands and soon you feel a presence behind you, undoing your chains.
Your shivering body only trembled more as you felt fingers graze your calves and back, your now damp blindfold only serving to rile on your fears. You didn’t shift from your position when you felt the weight drop from your hands and legs, too scared to do anything. Your mind ran a million miles per minute, barging through your brain with various emotions and thoughts, but yet you feel blank as a chair scrapes loudly against the floor, placed in front of you.
A hand hooks under your arm, pulling you to sit upright and a whimper leaves your lips in fright. You wanted to plead– heck even beg for mercy, cry a litany of apologies and offer anything up in exchange for your life, but your lips didn’t move a single inch, even though you were practically screaming from within. You choke on the silence that suffocates the room before a gentle finger traced the back of your neck and you suppressed the urge to shudder at the feeling, soon finding your blindfold falling to the floor. You squinted, trying to move away from the sudden bright light before coming face to face with the last face you expected to see, the supposed kill target, his golden orbs more brighter and fierce than you remembered, excitement dancing along his lashes.
“And what do we have here?” He leaned forward as he rested his elbows on his knees, his palms joined in front of him and a cunning smile plastered on his face. His eyes raked your form before looking at the man behind you, nodding at him before you heard the softest “Yes Bokuto-san” flow past you and your eyes widen when realise where you heard it before; you recollect to the voice you barely managed to hear before you were rendered unconscious and painful tears started to collect in the corner of your eyes as you tried to swallow the lump on your throat.
The guy now known as Akaashi brought something to the guy in front of you before going back to his earlier position behind you. Faint light glinted against the object and when you realised what it was, tears flowed down freely your cheeks as soft hiccups wrecked through your body.
“Aww honey, don’t be scared. All you need to do is answer all our questions truthfully and I won’t have to use this. Whaddya say hmm?” Bokuto cooed as he slid the gun against your cheek, before placing the barrel under your cheek and tipping your head upwards. Afraid, you closed your eyes before nodding meekly.
“That’s a good girl. See we won’t be having any problems then.” He says with childish enthusiasm in his voice as if it were just another game for him. Akaashi stood silent, his eyes never leaving your form, watching the way your nipples pebbled under the cool air, your shirt now almost transparent as droplets of water slid down your shivering form. Bokuto feigned a cough and Akaashi flits his gaze to him, immediately registering that Bokuto noticed him staring at you, his signature playful smile getting a little bit wider, a hidden intent written behind that smile.
“It’s time to pat her down, Akaashi.” Bokuto stated before turning to you, “Don’t worry hun, it's just a mandatory procedure.” The moment those words were said you were lifted off the ground and placed onto Bokuto's lap and a sob fell from your lips as you tried to get away from his hold, but that only spurred him on to wrap his hand around your waist firmly.
“Shush now little kitten, don’t worry, the more you struggle, the harder it will be.” He pulled you closer to his heated body, your back hitting his chiseled chest as you straddled him, making your pencil skirt bunch up, your cuffed hands uncomfortable as they get smushed at an odd angle between your back and his chest. You try to move forward because the burn was too much, but the hand on your waist only tightened, keeping you put, your legs kept secure behind his ankles.
“So tell me kitten what’s your name hmm??” He asked you while Akaashi kneeled down in front of you and started patting down your shoulders before his fingers found your buttons, relieving them from its reserves with ease; you looked down at Akaashi with unbelieving eyes, Bokuto’s question falling on deaf ears and that was your biggest mistake. His hand on your waist slid up to roughly grab one of your tits, pinching the nipple harshly and making you cry out in pure agony.
“I asked you something pet, I don’t like to repeat myself twice. Geddit? Now I'm going to ask you once more and that will be your last time. You hear me?” His voice was viciously low and threatening. You only nodded back in response, the sting still fresh on your skin. “ Use your words kitten” He commanded, and you choked out a broken “Y-yes.”
“Good girl. Now tell me what your name is, hmm?”
“ It’s Y-Y/n,” you managed to stutter out, chest heaving.
“That's a lovely name for a kitten! Well now, what is a pretty little thing like you doing in the Nekoma estate, hmm? What is your relationship with Kuroo and Kenma? Are you their fucktoy? Wouldn’t doubt if you were, you seem quite fun to play with” he whispered the last part as he grabbed your face, turning your head away from him. He brushed his nose against your neck, taking in your scent as hot puffs of air collided against your skin.
“I’m j-just a secretary, I have a debt to clear with them, t-that’s all. I’m not their- their- '' heat rushes to your cheeks as embarrassment and anger flowed through you as it dawned upon you what he really meant and you tried to pull away from Bokuto. “I don’t do anything of that sort! I don’t have that kind of relationship with them. I just arrange meetings and appointments, and other basic stuff, that’s it! Now let me go!” You spit the words out, anger boiling through your veins, but it soon turned ice cold with the next question, and you realise you fucked up… Big time.
“ Then you must know about the upcoming business meetings of Nekoma, right? That means you would know the location of Kuroo and Kenma? ” And the room once again went silent. In your fit of anger and defiance you didn’t even realise that Akaashi had slid your shirt up over your shoulders, sliding them down up to your cuff covered wrists and was now drawing your skirt down. You tried to wiggle your hips to hinder his movements but it only serves to his advantage as it slides down easier.
“Please l-let me go, I-I don’t know anything please!” You begged, voice turning desperate, you couldn’t give out information about the Nekoma clan or they would have your head for it. What about your family–
“You’re a smart little one aren’t you, you know they will hunt you down if you give me their information. But if you decide to tell me, I give you my word that no harm will come to you or your family, furthermore your debt will be repaid. And if you don’t, I could put a bullet through your head right now.” Bokuto said with a playful lift to his voice, bringing the gun up to your temple.
“ I really don’t remember! Please, I can’t recall w-with who it was.. Please don’t shoot!!” You sobbed out, mind going blank when the gun is placed to your temple, fear overwhelming your senses.
“Aw it was good knowing ya kitten, you would’ve made such a good pet.” He cocks the gun with a loud click finger at ease on the trigger while he places soft kisses on your neck, softly whispering against your skin, “ Sayonara–”
“KARASUNO!!” You screamed out the first thing you remembered right before he could pull the trigger. “It’s Karasuno, sometime in the middle of next week, in the Miyagi Prefecture.. That’s about all I know. Please, please let me go now, I’m begging you!!!”
He chuckled darkly right next to your ear and goosebumps rose all over your skin with adrenaline. You closed your tear filled eyes, sobs shaking through you. You wanted this to be a nightmare, a dream from which you would wake up any moment, but the cuffs digging into your wrists and warm hands searing into your skin said otherwise.
“Mmm you definitely deserve a reward for that, don’t you?” He licks a long stripe from the base of your neck to your ear before whispering those words. You shake your head violently, not wanting to spend another waking minute here but he completely ignores your signs of protest. Bokuto’s hand travels down your body till his hand reached your panties to cup your pussy, groaning when he hears a small whimper leave your lips at the contact. He tugged on your panties, a hiss leaving his lips when he noticed how sensitive your body was.
“Such a pretty kitten, Akaashi, why don't you reward her for me, yeah?” Bokuto said as he shifted your panties to the side, dipping his fingers into your folds before prying them apart, giving Akaashi a good view of your cunt. Akaashi took his lower lip between his teeth before swiping his tongue across it as he indulged himself with the sight of your glistening pussy.
“Go on ‘Kaashi, don’t you want a taste?” Bokuto questioned, his fingers circling your clit, before travelling to your entrance, he dipping two fingers inside before removing them and spreading them, your juices smeared all over them and he popped his fingers to his mouth, a low growl arising from his chest made you bite on your lip harshly. “Of course I do Bokuto-san.” And that was all Akaashi said before he hooked your legs over his shoulder and dived into your pussy, flattening his tongue against your entrance before dragging it upwards towards your clit, rubbing his tongue against it before sucking on it.
You moaned loudly as Akaashi kept slurping up the juices dripping from your hole, making sure to not let a single drop go by, while Bokuto unhooked your bra, sliding them up so he could see your perky little nipples just begging for attention. He uncocks the gun and hooks it on his waistband, after which his hands find purchase of your soft mounds, pressing each nipple inside with his forefinger before pinching them and rolling them between his fingers. He gave your nipples a few rough tugs just to hear your sweet voice more.
You’re too overwhelmed to do anything but mewl as Akaashi detached himself from your pussy, fingers tugging down your panties and pocketing the soaked fabric. He used his thumb to rub your nub while his tongue prods your entrance and you gasp, taking a shaky breath in. When he rubbed a certain spot at the entrance you threw your head back and Bokuto immediately wrapped his fingers around your throat, his grip firm as his lips hastily crashed onto yours, drinking in all your moans and whimpers. He continued to kiss you, your moaning making it easy to plunge his tongue into your mouth, the kiss so heated that it brought you right on the edge of tipping over.
Your legs shook uncontrollably, being just one flick away from falling over the edge when Akaashi pulled back and you breathed heavily, not wanting to show them that this affected you much, while you mourned the loss of such a sweet release. His face is smeared with your juices and he licks his lips as he uses the back of his sleeve to wipe off the excess. The corner of his mouth lifted as he looked at Bokuto and nodded at him as you whined at your stolen high. Bokuto broke the kiss and smiled at Akaashi wide enough to have the tops of his incisors seen, the feral intent in his eyes reminding you of the dangerous position you were in.
Your eyes widened when Akaashi abruptly stood up and slid his hands under your butt, fingers digging into the flesh of your ass as he picked you up from Bokuto’s lap and you yelped. Akaashi’s eyes were fixated on you the entire time you were in his arms, his eyes shifting from your eyes to your lips continuously while you squirm.
“P-please no, I-I don’t want to go any further please” you told Akaashi, eyes big and pleading, filled with fresh tears.
“It’s okay Doll, don’t worry, we won’t hurt you until you disobey. So be a good little pet for us alright?” He whispered against your ear as he placed you down on your wobbly legs with your back against the mahogany table behind. He cupped your face gently, thumb swiping across your trembling lips as he looked at you with pure adoration. If it were any other situation you might’ve even considered going out with this beautiful man; but here you were, held against your will, your body being used as per their whims and wishes and you couldn’t do a single thing about it, it made your stomach twist with hate and disgust knowing how weak you were.
Akaashi leaned in, softly pressing his lips against yours into the most sweetest and gentle kiss you’ve ever had. You were so lost in it that your mouth unconsciously granted him access when he licked your bottom lip, you immediately tasted yourself on his tongue. The way he explored your mouth made you moan, your pussy clenching over a single kiss, only coming to your senses when his fingers fiddled with the straps of your bra, unclasping them and you bit his lip in defiance when he pulled your bra off your body, the taste of iron now pooling on your tongue.
Akaashi pulled back when you bite his lip, raising an amused eyebrow at you. He couldn’t believe that you still had thought that you could say no to them, it was cute to him; luckily it wasn’t Bokuto-san or she would've gotten a punishment by now– Akaashi thought as blood dripped from his lip onto his chin.
“This kitten is still using her claws I see, quite feisty~” Bokuto chimed as he came behind Akaashi, watching the entire scene from the corner. You looked at both of them in shock when Bokuto turned Akaashi’s head and pulled him into a kiss, licking up the blood that was on his lips and groaning when he still tasted the remnants of your sweet juices on Akaashi’s tongue. Bokuto broke the kiss, his lips sliding down to Akaashi’s neck and chuckling against his skin as he remembers the day Akaashi first saw you.
Akaashi was so mesmerised by you, couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful you were and how he wanted you so badly. Akaashi mentioned you so many times that it had started to get on his nerves, sometimes he even moaned out your name when he was asleep. Bokuto finally snapped when Akaashi choked out your name as he came all over Bokuto’s hands pumping his shaft. And when Akaashi found out that you worked for Nekoma it was the perfect excuse he needed to bring you in and play with you, see what was so special about you. Akaashi insisted on getting you personally, not wanting anyone else to get their hands on you; he was possessive like that– Bokuto was brought out of his fazed stupor with your cute little mewls filling the room.
Akaashi had started marking up your neck, slurping bruises on your skin while his fingers played with your nipples.
“Kitten, why don't you put on a little show for us? Play with that pretty little cunt of yours, show us how you like it and maybe I’ll think about letting you go?” Bokuto said as his fingers rub circles on your hips soothingly. The prospect of getting out of here had you ready to do anything and you eagerly nod your head at the offer, maybe once they freed your hands you could try to escape too. But Bokuto seemed to know what you're thinking, because he turned you around and shoved your head onto the table, your toes barely grazing the floor as you struggled under the weight of his body on yours. He removes the gun from his waistband and places it on your neck.
“Don’t even think about doing anything funny, cause there won’t be a second chance~” He singed as his hips grinded into yours, his erection pressed against your ass and you gasped as you felt how big he was even through his pants. He lifted himself off you once you yelp out a “Yes” he slowly slid the gun down your back, smacking the barrel against your ass before going lower and rubbing the cool metal against your folds. You dug your nails into your palm to ground yourself as he continued to rub against your clit, teasing the little nub till the barrel was covered in your juices.
“Get on the table kitten, I want a perfect view of your pussy.” Bokuto stopped his ministrations as you struggle to get on the table, when you took too much time for his liking he shoved your other leg on top and smacked your ass, making you scream out, he rubbed his fingers over the red print that is visible as he growled out a ‘hurry up’. Akaashi on the other hand started uncuffing your hands, sliding the shirt that was stuck above your wrist along with your cuffs.
You were already on the verge of cumming earlier, so doing that once again wouldn’t take that long. You reached down your trembling fingers and started slowly circling your clit, you moaned as you started going faster, rubbing yourself just the way you had done dozens of times before.
“Don’t be shy, Doll. Stuff a few fingers up that sweet hole” Akaashi said as he unzips his pants, pumping his cock in his hand at the lewd sight of you playing with yourself. He had imagined you like this whenever he stroked his cock alone, but he didn’t know it would be so fucking hot.
“You heard him, use those fingers to stuff your hole, kitten.” Bokuto chimed in with Akaashi. You reached down further and slowly start to slide two fingers in and out of your pussy, moaning as you started feeling good, the base of your palm bumping against your clit. You started going faster, feeling yourself reach your high once again, your moans turned higher and higher in pitch. You were just about ot cum when Bokuto slaped your hand away from yourself, making you whine loudly when you were denied another high. It was starting to feel like torture, your thoughts were getting fuzzy and all you could think was how badly you wanted to cum.
“Doll if you wanna cum then you just gotta ask” Akaashi said softly as he rubs his fingers over your sensitive folds, making you buck into his hand. You almost didn’t care about anything anymore, the only thing on your mind was the need to cum, but there was a little shard of dignity that was left in you and it made you bite your tongue. Your anger and frustration of not getting to cum makes you a little bold.
“F-fuck y-you” you panted out with as much venom in your words as you could muster. Bokuto shook his head as a chuckle wrecked through his chest once again. You were certainly a fun thing to tease and play with, the way you refused to give up only served to pique his interest further. “Oh I certainly plan to kitten, I’m going fuck this pretty little cunt all night. Make you a pliant mess on my cock”
You heard the clink of a buckle being opened, noticing the gun placed on the table not too far from your reach and with your hands free, you tried to push yourself off the surface only to be held down by your neck. “Oh no you don’t Doll, I’ve waited an eternity to feel those lips on me” Akaashi remarked as he unbuttoned his pants with his free hand and slid down the zipper. “Now pull my cock out, pretty girl.” He slowly released the pressure on your neck, Bokuto smacked your ass when you didn't comply, his heavy hand stinging enough to have you immediately reach out, tugging on the waistband of the his pants.
Akaashi bit his lips as your fingers touched his cock, his hard member twitching at the contact. Not being able to control himself any further, Akaashi swooped down and pulled you in for a kiss while simultaneously Bokuto aligned his tip with your entrance. Akaashi pulled back, standing straight so that his cock was mere inches from your face. He removed his shirt before he gathered your hair in his hand and pulled you towards his member. You shook your head no, using one to keep you up while the other pushed on his waist.
But your attempts were futile as Bokuto slammed himself into you with one swift movement, making you scream at the stretch and Akaashi used that as an opportunity to shove his cock into your mouth, groaning when you gagged and sputtered on his length, still attempting to cry out. The sounds from your warm mouth made him shudder in pleasure.
Bokuto starrted slamming into you immediately, fucking into you with feral intensity and using you as his personal pocket pussy, each thrust pushed your mouth further on Akaashi’s cock.
“Nghh you're so fucking tight kitten, squeezing my dick so fucking good” Bokuto grunted out before placing both his hands on your hips, his fingers holding you tight enough to leave dark bruises and he used that at leverage to fuck into you faster, His fat cock stirring up your insides and hitting spots deep inside you that you didn't know you had, making you moan continuously on Akaashi's cock. Said man slowly started to buck his hips into your mouth, falling into a rhythm with Bokuto, once in a while pushing his cock deep enough that the tip hit the back of your throat.
The room echoed with muffled moans and low growls, squelching sounds filling the room. Both men fastened their pace, pulling and pushing back and forth, singing praises and defiling your body at the same time.
“Oh fuck d-Doll haa.. your mouth feels so good, I'm gonna cum, I'm gonna cum!! And I want you to drink every drop of it” Akaashi keened as he kept moving his hips, he wrapped his hand around your throat, squeezing firmly till he felt the outline of his cock making you lightheaded. Akaashi watched as you rolled your watery eyes back in pleasure, choking and gagging on his cock, feeling his cock on your throat was the last strand and it pushed him off the edge and he gave a deep thrust cumming directly inside your throat, fingers still clutching your neck. He pulled out halfway, so that his cum spilled all over your tongue; shudders wrecked through his body as his thighs flexed till it burned, he pinched your nose as pulled out of you and clamped his other hand over your mouth so you had no other choice but to swallow, and once done he pulled you up as he climbed on the table as well.
You hung on Akaashi, hands hooked around his shoulders as Bokuto still kept pummelling into you, thighs slapping loudly against your ass. Akaashi kept kissing you, not leaving your body alone even for a second, biting and sucking on your lips or roaming along the length of your neck. His hands roamed all over your body before sliding between your folds, lithe fingers barely grazing your nub before forming a 'V' where Bokuto's cock enters you, spreading your folds. Your thighs trembled uncontrollably, body shivering, you would be laying flat against wood, had it not been for Akaashi holding you up, one hand wrapped around your waist.
Your mind was going crazy, you were so close to cumming but you just needed that little push, that little rub and nudge on your clit. The fact that Akaashi's fingers kept lightly brushing against it didn't help any further, you wanted to just cum, a dam waiting to be broken and you couldn't take it anymore.
“Please, please mmnnn j-just let me cum!!" You cried out, transgressing in the moment of pleasure.
“All you had to do was ask Doll” Akaashi murmured against your skin as his fingers slid up to your clit, rubbing refined, delicate circles around your sensitive nub and that was the final push that made you cum all around Bokuto's cock, pussy fluttering around his shaft, squeezing him tightly as an orgasm wrecked through you, compelling your body into a convulsing mess as a prayer of moans leave your lips, your toes curling till your feet hurt.
Your pussy clenched tightly around his shaft triggered Bokuto’s orgasm as well, his hips slowing their pace as he pumped deep strokes into your hole. And with a loud shivering groan against your ear, your pussy was filled with hot spurts of cum as he leaned his weight slightly on your limp body, his skin hot and sweaty against your own.
He placed a soft kiss on your back before pulling out of you, walking away to get something. During the time he’s gone Akaashi gently stroked your hair, while holding you in his warm embrace until Bokuto returned with something in his hand. Bokuto reached out and clicked it into place with alige fingers before smiling devilishly. You looked down, weak hand unconsciously reaching up to touch the item and you gasped, realizing it's a collar, and yanked on it to try and remove it. Hastily you reached behind hoping to find a buckle to release it, but instead you found a lock and turned towards Bokuto.
“D-didn’t you s-say you were going to let me go?” You asked, voice trembling with trepidation. While you were looking away Akaashi linked a leash to your collar, wrapped the excess length around his knuckles and handed it over to Bokuto. He yanked on your collar as he did so, forcefully bringing you closer as he offered Bokuto your leash with a heated kiss before Bokuto pulled away to look at you with a sickeningly sweet smile.
“Oh I said I’ll think about it, and I think I’m not done with you just yet kitten~”

The Last Semester – Part 19
Pairing: Cillian Murphy x Reader
Words: 1,192
Warning: Pregnancy Mentioned
Prior Parts: https://queenshelby.tumblr.com/post/659848352665600000/pairing-cillian-murphy-x-reader-words
After you received the somewhat strange message from Cillian and nothing else, you decided to drive over to his house not knowing that his boys were staying with him for the weekend.
You were sad, upset and angry about the way he behaved and, of course, you didn’t know that it wasn’t him who sent the message to you.
After you pulled into his driveway and rang the doorbell, he opened the door and stepped outside.
‘I can’t talk now Y/N, the boys are inside’ Cillian said almost surprised that you came to his place unannounced.
‘Why are you doing this to me?’ you asked, upset and angry.
‘Come on, not here’ Cillian said, grabbing the key from the sideboard inside the hallway and closing the door behind him before walking around the back of the house with you into his studio.
‘What the fuck is wrong with you? Sending me this message after you haven’t bothered to make contact with me for two weeks. Are you delusional?’ you shouted with anger as he closed the door behind you.
‘I am sorry Y/N. I don’t know what had gotten into me’ Cillian said, not wanting to tell you the truth about his son getting hold of his phone.
‘I just needed to think about this, about us’ he then said, somewhat confused and unsure whether he should be saying anything at all.
‘I am not doing this anymore Cillian. I am through with this, with you. I honestly am. You are 45 years old and are acting like a child’ you huffed out.
‘Exactly, I am 45. I am fucking 20 years older than you Y/N. How do you think this is going to work out, eh? I can guarantee you that, in about five years, you will be sick of this. I can’t risk that regardless of the feelings that I have for you’ Cillian responded somewhat frustrated.
‘Do you really trust me that little, thinking that I can’t commit to our relationship?’ you then asked somewhat saddened.
‘Y/N, I just think you need to be with someone your own age. I shouldn’t have gotten involved with you to start off with. It was a mistake’ Cillian then said, thinking back at your father’s words and even what his mother had told him after reading the article.
‘I was a mistake. Yeah, thanks’ you said before turning around, tears running down your face.
‘That’s not what I meant’ Cillian said, taking hold of your arms, realising what he had just said to you.
‘Don’t touch me. Fuck’ you growled, hormonal and full of anger.
‘Y/N, I love you. It just isn’t going to work’ Cillian then said and you were quick to shut him off once again, knowing that this wasn’t going anywhere until Cillian became to realise that the social perceptions about your relationship and the obstacles you were facing didn’t matter if your bond was strong.
‘I need to go’ you then quickly huffed out and Cillian gave you a quick nod, his eyes teary and his mind struggling with the thought of letting go of you once and for all, thinking that it was the right thing to do.
***
When you arrived back home, you were in tears and your father was quick to ask you what had happened.
‘Well, you got what you wanted all along. Cillian realised that getting involved with me was a mistake’ you huffed out, at which point your stepmother looked at you rather concerned.
‘Y/N, he is right though. It was never going to work out. You are at two different stages of your lives’ your father said almost relieved in a way. Yet, you could tell that his mind was elsewhere.
‘Yeah, perhaps one of your other friends is more suitable’ you said sarcastically, knowing that your father’s argument with Cillian had something to do with Cillian’s change of mind. But of course, you didn’t know all of the reasons behind it. You didn’t know about Cillian’s agent having been in his ear for months nor did you know about Cillian’s ex wife’s numerous stunts since she found out about you.
Instead of responding to your somewhat inappropriate comment, your father bit his tongue. He didn’t say anything. In fact, he spoke neither to you nor to your stepmother Lorraine for the remainder of the evening.
***
The following day, at around 8 o’clock, when you spent the first night in your new apartment in Dublin, you got a call from your stepmother asking whether you knew where your father was.
‘A few weeks ago, before everything turned to shit, Cillian mentioned that his friend Enda was visiting Dublin for a few days this month. Maybe he is having a drink with him at the pub?’ you said, unsure where else he could be.
‘Well, usually he tells me if he goes out and doesn’t come home for dinner’ she said somewhat worried, but you didn’t know what to tell her.
***
Around the same time when your stepmother called you to enquire about your father’s whereabouts, Cillian heard a loud knock on the door.
‘Hey’ your father said, slightly drunk as Cillian opened the door and their friend Enda, who was staying at Cillian’s house for a few days, walked through the hallway.
‘Hold on, I will get my camera before you start beating each other up. I am going to cash in at the Courier Mail if I get a good picture’ Enda chuckled as Cillian was lost for words, surprised to see your father at the door.
‘I am not here to pick a fight. I am here because I want to have some drinks with my friends’ your father said and, just as he did, Cillian asked him to come inside and handed him a beer.
‘Are you alright? You don’t look so good man’ Cillian said as the three of them sat down in the living room.
‘I am fine. You?’ your father asked politely, but already knowing the answer to his question.
‘Fine’ Cillian said following which there was an awkward silence between the three of them.
‘How are the boys?’ your father then asked.
‘Fine. I can see them again, at least’ Cillian said.
‘Of course, your ex withheld contact again when you and Y/N were seeing each other’ your father said, knowing that it wasn’t the first time that this has happened.
‘Let’s not talk about Y/N please. I have a media engagement tomorrow and need my face intact’ Cillian chuckled.
‘Sorry about that man. I was angry’ your father said, causing Cillian to nod.
‘I deserved it’ Cillian said briefly before Enda quickly changed the topic.
‘So, how is Lorraine? How are your boys?’ Enda then asked.
‘Lorraine, my fucking wife, I think she is cheating’ your father huffed out causing Enda and Cillian to look at him with surprise.
‘What makes you think that?’ Cillian then asked.
‘I fucking found this in the trash. She is fucking pregnant’ your father then said as he pulled the pregnancy test out of his jacket and put it onto the living room table.
‘You lost me there, man. Couldn’t the baby be yours?’ Enda asked somewhat flustered.
‘I had a vasectomy four years ago man’ your father said.

Steve Rogers x OFC - Waiting On a Miracle, Chapter 1
After catching an infamous serial killer in the act, Julie Castillo is in line for the witness protection program. She is sent to a temporary safe house with U.S. Marshal Steve Rogers to protect her. Both of them scarred by trauma and tragedy, they find solace in each other. But how far will they dare to go?
Okay, kids: This bitch was desperate for a good old-fashioned cabin fic with sad-boi-but-make-him-sad-in-cosy-flannel-Steve and some musical theatre content because all of those things provide me with stupidly much serotonin lol
There won’t be any Steve in the first chapter cause it’s gonna be my longest fic yet and our MC needs a little exposition. She’s also got a name because it makes sense for this story, promise ;)
Final note: I don’t really speak Spanish, so if there’s any mistakes, please let me know. When it comes to accuracy regarding the witness protection program - I’m definitely gonna take some liberties there. This is a merely a silly little fanfic after all lol
Series warnings: violence, death, angst, trauma, smut
Chapter warnings: violence (non-graphic), death, angst
Chapter word count: ~1600
Song(s) referenced: Breathe (In the Heights)
“Your morsal surfaces are quite worn down.” “Whua?” I asked. “Do you grind your teeth at night?” My dentist removed her tools from my mouth. “Not that I know of.” She felt my jaw muscles and made me bite down a couple of times. “Does that hurt?” “Uh, a little?” She rolled her chair across the room and hacked some words into the keyboard. “Are you under a lot of stress?” “Well, I am a New Yorker.” I attempted a grin but it quickly died down as she eyed me carefully. “I’m an assistant stage manager on Broadway. It’s not exactly low-pressure.” “Hm. I’m afraid you’re overly tense at times and start clenching your teeth as a result. Try to be mindful of that. We’ll talk about it again next time.” I nodded and she gave me a smile. “Other than that we’re done for today. See you in six months, Miss Castillo.”
I rushed to the subway station. My lunch break would be over over in ten minutes and there was no way I’d make it back in time. At least I had become an expert at weaving through crowds, keeping a steady pace to the low-fi tunes from my headphones. The city was drenched in an unusual heat for early October and the masses of people swarming the endless concrete made it worse. My shirt clung to my back, a mixture of sweat and mascara burning in my eyes. The spicy aroma of burritos wafted through the air and my stomach rumbled. The subway was delayed. Of course. I paced up and down the platform, repeatedly checking the time on my phone. And then I noticed it for the first time - I was clenching my teeth. Hard enough for it to hurt. I relaxed my jaw and absentmindedly rubbed the sore muscles, wondering how I’d never realised this before. My phone lit up with a text from my dad. How are you, cariño? Haven’t heard from you in a while. Call me x I swiped the text away, unclenching my jaw again. Just then another message popped up. Jules, where are you? Samira needs you On my way back, be there in 15 Finally the train roared out of the tunnel. I slid into a seat, closed my eyes and turned up the music.
“Anyone seen Julie?” “I’m here, I’m here!” I huffed out as I sprinted down the corridor towards the stage manager. “Sorry, Sam.” “Everything okay? I’ve been looking all over for you.” “I know, Finn texted me. Just ran late at the dentist. Did you wanna go over the changes from today’s rehearsal?” “Yep, let’s grab coffee first though.” We made our way to the kitchen and I briefly glanced at the free but horrendous drip brew before deciding to splurge on the good stuff. I fed the machine a few coins and pressed the button for a double-shot latte. Samira patted her pockets down for change but couldn’t seem to find any. I rummaged through my own jeans and pulled out another couple of coins. “Thanks, love. You’re literally my favorite person here.” She gave me a tired but genuine smile while punching her order in. “You doing okay?” “Yeah sure. Just… waiting for the weekend.” “What weekend?” “Exactly.” Samira laughed “We need to do brunch again sometime. I mean I really don’t know when on earth I’ll find the time, but we’ll work something out, okay?” “Definitely sounds like you could use to vent a little.” “Again, you’re my favorite.” She reached for her coffee. “Let’s get started then.”
I was dead tired when I shuffled upstairs after the show, but couldn’t bring myself to go home where my roommate and her girlfriend were most likely giggling at one of those low-budget horror movies they loved to watch. If I couldn’t be alone at home, I’d rather be alone among a million strangers. Just when I was trying to decide on a place to eat someone threw an arm around me and I flinched but quickly recognized the waft of sweet cologne. “Hey bestie, wanna get dinner?” I smiled up at Finn and slung my arm around his waist. My friend’s company was the only one I could tolerate on a night like this. “Burritos? Been craving those all day.” He grimaced. “With my IBS? Have mercy.” I laughed and elbowed him gently. “Gross.” “Let me take care of the wigs right quick and then we’re off, okay?” I sat in the corner while Finn organized his work station for the next day, mindlessly scrolling through social media. My eyes caught on the blinding grin of an old theatre friend in full costume. Can finally reveal the big news: I’m the new Fantine at the Imperial! Catch my first show on January 15th! ❤️</i> A sharp pain flashed through my jaw and I quickly released the tension before shoving the phone into my pocket. “Ready? I’m starving.”
We took the subway to 175th Street, then grabbed a bean burrito for me and a box of fried noodles for Finn. “Eat on the bridge?” He groaned, but I pulled him with me while he tried to manoeuvre some noodles into his mouth. A few minutes later I leaned against the railing with a sigh and looked down at the pitch black Hudson. Hundreds of lights were glistening on the heaving river below us, the bustle of the city a little softer in the evening breeze. In moments like these I still thought New York was beautiful. How the countless towers stood clear-cut against the sky. How everything flowed in an age-old choreography. There was something about the city that wouldn't let me go, that after all this time somehow still held promise. “Did you see?” I mumbled as I unwrapped my burrito. “Hae’s gonna be in Les Mis.” “Yeah. Good for her.” “Of course. We love to see a Chinese Fantine.” I took a bite and chewed carefully until I felt Finn’s eyes on me. “What?” “How much longer do you plan on doing this?” “Huh?” “Envying others and yet doing nothing about it?” I swallowed hard. “I’ve got a good job.” “And yet you’re still here, doing the whole ‘Just me and the GWB asking, ‘Gee, Julie, what’ll you be?’’” I couldn’t help but grin. “God, your singing is terrible.” “Yours isn’t.” “Stop.” “Not until you stop hiding in the shadows when you should be in the spotlight.” “God, you’re so dramatic.” My face fell at the seriousness in his gaze. “You’re not over it, Jules, you never will be.” “Well, I’ll have to be.” I rubbed my jaw as I stared back out onto the river. We finished our food in silence but my appetite had vanished.
“I’ll walk you home.” “You don’t have to.” I zipped up my coat and wound a scarf around my neck. The day’s heat was long forgotten and in my exhaustion I was freezing twice as hard. “You sure?” “It’s just a couple of streets, I’ll be fine.” Finn hugged me tightly. “Text me when you get there.” We parted ways and I put on my headphones but was met with an empty battery sound. Sighing, I shoved them back into my bag. The street I turned onto was deserted and I glanced at my watch. Almost midnight. A sudden shiver ran down my spine and I picked up the pace. But just as I passed a dark alley something in my periphery made me stop dead in my tracks. A sharp glint. Like metal. A muffled cry. A person crumbling to the ground. I was frozen to the spot, unable to turn my eyes from the horrific scene barely fifteen yards away. I had just witnessed a murder. An actual fucking murder. My heart was close to giving out, my entire body dipped in ice and fire. And then he looked up. His face was half-obscured from his hood but it burned itself into my retinas. Light, almost translucent skin, dark beard, a jagged scar across his cheek. Only when he moved towards me did my legs finally spring into action. I stumbled, almost fell, then started running like it was the last thing I’d ever do. Maybe it would be. His feet hit the concrete behind me. Close, too close. Pure, unbridled panic flooded my veins but I only pushed on harder. I refused to die like this. Not tonight. Not when my life had barely even begun. As I rounded the corner, the lights of a familiar bodega flashed from across the street and I almost sobbed in relief. A breath later I pushed through the door, screaming at the family cleaning up. “Ayúdame! Help me! Please, please!” “Qué pasa?” the mother gasped, subconsciously opening her arms and I flew into them, like she was my own mom and could still protect me from all the horrors of the world. “He’s following me. Un asesino.” “Asesino?” She actually wrapped her arms around me and I snivelled into her soft cardigan. “Félix, asegura la puerta!” Her son was already halfway to the door and I spun around, just catching the dark figure across the street. He stared at me for another second, then turned on his heel and vanished into the night. I collapsed onto the floor as the family surrounded me, trying to calm and interrogate me in a wild mix of English and Spanish. But all I could do was stare at the chipped tiles, silently rocking back and forth and feeling dead certain of two things: He would recognize me. And he would come to find me.

End of the line (Santiago Garcia x GN! reader)
@autumnleaves1991-blog runs a fantasic # Writer Wednesday, and this week’s photo prompt sparked a lil idea! Of course I’m a day late, please forgive. The prompt is the photo below, and my response is a rather angsty Triple Frontier one-shot. This is different to my usual takes, so I’m so grateful for the prompt!
Summary: you are reaching the end of the line, and there’s only one person you want to pick up the phone to.
Word count: 2.4k, somehow
Rating: mature for themes of violence (18+ only)
Warnings: theme of reader being pursued / targeted; ongoing mentions of guns / gun violence (not graphic); reader injuries (not graphic); themes of character death; angst; vague mentions of past wrongdoing / implied illicit activities; theme of former lovers.
You run your fingers over your scathed knuckles and the bruises on your hands, flexing and opening your fingers and trying to work out niggles in your wrist that you doubt will ever truly leave you. You wince as the motion tugs on a spot which is particularly stiff, and a pain zips all the way up your forearm.
Your only consolation is that the other guy fared far worse.
Undoing all your attempts to unknot your taut muscles, your fists clench again as you hear the door to the dingy motel bar swing open to your right. Your head whips towards the newly-arrived patron and you tense, your hand twitching against the weapon concealed in your jacket. As it becomes clear the new arrival is an old, inebriated local and not a threat, you relax a shade; though not all the way.
You barely remember the last time you fully relaxed. You wish you could shake this state of hyper-vigilance. Eyes constantly sweeping the perimeter. Clocking every open-carry tucked into a belt, scoping every exit route, monitoring every micro-gesture and expression. But one slip now and it will cost you.
You bounce your leg under the table, filled with an onslaught of sadness that you can’t even enjoy a cup of coffee without the looming fear of retribution. Still, you are safe enough here for now, you assess. For at least one more night. At least, you hope. Certainty is a thing long-dead, just like your old life.
Your eyes flick out through the scummy window, reaching across the lot to the stretch of motel illuminated to your left. Not that there’s much to look at out there -snow and vehicles and the shitty exterior- but you are not looking at those things, after all. Your study is far more careful. You’ve been sat here long enough though to be sure that no-one is casing your room. No suspicious vehicles or individuals; at least - there are plenty of suspicious individuals, but none whom seem to have followed you here.
So, you allow yourself to shed one layer of worry, and you give your gaze permission to wander back to the only other thing you can see out there. The ominous looking phone box, stood directly in the path between your table and the window to your motel room. It glows in the dark like an illuminated angel, though you are not sure whether this signals it is a guardian or a traitor. Angels can be fickle things too.
Either way, the booth taunts you, like some dark harbinger or sentinel from a horror film, and, each time your eyes flick back to it, it seems to loom more prominent - even if that’s only because of the single, related thought which swells to the forefront of your mind.
Call him. It’s time to call him.
You promised yourself you would only call him as a last resort. If you had no other options remaining. If you were at the end of the line.
A nausea rolls in the pit of you when you realise that might be true. After so long on the run, you’ve called in every favour you were owed, exploited every scrap of intel you could, manipulated or paid-off every asset you could find to help you... And now there is no-one else left. No-one else left who owes you a favour. There is only the man who had once promised you he would always have your six. There is only the last person you want to ask for help, and the first person you want to see.
Santiago Garcia.
Your nausea turns to aching despair, and you wrap your hands around your cup of shitty coffee, reaching for some vestige of warmth, however faint. And yet, like everything else, it offers you little comfort. Indeed, you have lived without comfort for so long that you tell yourself you don’t need it, but as soon as memories of him flood you, you ache for the distant comfort of his arms.
Arms which will never encircle you again, you’re sure. Not since you’d been forced to compromise every ideal you’d once shared with the solider. Still, that was back in the days when things seemed a lot more black and white. When you still believed in good people and untarnished souls. When he still believed in you.
Your eyes flick once again to the boxy, mocking angel in the parking lot. Now you are sure it is fallen, and that it has come to drag you to hell.
Still, hell would be a relief, you think, compared to this. Compared to this vestige of a life.
Call him. It’s the end of the line.
You bounce your leg more furiously, your muscles tensing so hard they cramp as you think about the prospect. You used to carry his number on a little slip of paper in your top pocket. You’d long since memorised it, but it was the last thing he gave you - you suppose that’s why you couldn’t throw it away. Why you subconsciously kept it close to your heart.
If you ever needed him, he would be there. You knew it. Maybe you should have called him long ago, when things first went south. When you first pissed off the kinda man it wasn’t desirable to piss off. Maybe you would have, but then one thing after another kept happening, and the slow descent into hell began, one compromise and one mistake at a time. So, you called in every other favour rather than face him. Rather than having to explain how you’d let him down - become someone he could no longer believe in. Like a fallen angel.
Now, years had gone by.
Years on the run. Years of hyper-vigilance. Years that had taken their toll.
Now, you’re out of options. Out of money. Out of favours. You’re even out of burner phones until you can hitch a lift to the next town over.
So, the glowing phone box almost sings to you, as if it’s a siren luring you on to the rocks. As if it’s a magical item in a computer game and if you step into its circle of light you can have a new life. You can reset everything. Return to a prior save point.
You know exactly where you would go, if you could. Back to the last time your remember where you didn’t feel so alone. The last time you felt comfort.
You fumble some over-spilling tears from your cheeks and stand, pushing the chair back across the floor behind you with a harsh scrape. Then, with a soft smile to the barkeep you return your mug to the bar-top, to save her from having to clear up. You wonder then. You can’t help but wonder like you do every time. If she’ll be the last person to see you alive will she at least say, to who ever shows up looking, that you seemed kind?
She gives you a small smile and you hang on to this vestige of warmth too, wishing you could pocket it for later for when you inevitably feel so empty and so cold. If only you could have stored up warmth, you would have more than enough to thaw you. There was a time when you had an abundance, after all. Enough to carry you through the longest of winters.
Your face drops as you tread out, winding your scarf around your neck and your boots puncturing the fresh, powdery snow.
Would anyone who mattered even show up looking? you ponder. Is there anyone left who would remember all the things you were before all this? Before you were a cold, lost thing?
There may be one person left.
Your eyes patrol the lot around you, an automatic sweep for threats, and, seeing nothing of note, you track determinedly towards the phone box, tears near-freezing on your cheeks.
You pick up the receiver and you punch in that number you have memorised, your eyes closing and your other hand bracing itself against the scratched and cigarette-burn puckered surface. You don’t even know if it will ring, or if he will still be at this address, but you do know that your knees will buckle either way. With relief if he does, and hopelessness if he doesn’t.
The line clacks as the number connects, and you grip the receiver hard enough that a day-old wound on your knuckle splits, but you can scarce care. Instead you simply hold your breath as the phone rings once, twice, three times...
Your stomach lurches as the ringing stops.
“Santiago? Santiago Garcia?” you ask, hoarsely, tugging on the coiled phone wire so hard as you wind it around your fingers that you are close to breaking it.
“This is Mrs. Garcia. Can I help you?” a woman’s voice responds.
You want to dry heave. Your heart drops to your stomach.
“You’re his wife?” you ask, the question like a poison barb on your tongue.
“Yes, who’s speaking, please? Can I take a message?”
All this time, you had been the only one alone, it seems. You should be glad for him, but you are too sad for yourself to muster it.
You hesitate. You can’t say who’s calling. You can’t risk it. However, while he may not be at the end of the line, you are. This might be the last chance you get to say your piece.
You have to think on your feet, but that’s become second-nature for you. You haven’t enjoyed the luxury of plans or hopes or dreams for some time now.
You begin. Your voice is choked up.
“Just tell him... Tell him to remember me the way I was in Massachusetts. Tell him I’ve never been happier than then. Tell him not to worry. I won’t cash in that favour, but he’s already done enough.”
He has. He’s given you the strength to make it this far, even if he didn’t know it.
“Who is this?” his wife presses, her tone sharp.
You can’t say, but he’ll know. He’ll know - if he remembers you. Your eyes mist over with tears, and your chest tightens, emotion stealing the air from your lungs.
“Can you just tell him that? Please?” you beg, having been strong for so long and finally collapsing in on yourself, a desperate plea imbuing your voice.
Still, you don’t even wait for an answer before slamming the phone back down on its hook -can’t bear to hear her say no. Instead you surge towards your hotel room, sobs wracking your chest as you realise the cold hard facts. Now, you are truly on the run without any semblance of home to return to, even if you could ever stop. He did not wait for you.
So, you cry, even as you peel off your clothes from your pained body, leaning into the stream of luke-warm water in the motel shower. Water which may rinse the blood and grime from the surface of your skin but has no hope of washing the blood from your hands, or wiping the red from your ledger.
Nothing ever could.
Then, you lie alone in bed, your sleeping bag and liner protecting you from the motel bed covers, at least. You stare up blankly at the ceiling, and, as you often do, you try to pinpoint where it all went wrong. You try to rewrite history. You try to imagine all the ways in which things could have worked out.
As always, with certainty, you can say exactly when and where it all went to shit. And, as always, you wish that you could take it back.
You loll your head against the pillow, watching shadows dance through your curtains as snow falls past the glow of that ugly, beautiful phone box. It was a guardian after all, you think, if Santi got to know that you still think of him. That even now you can’t let him go.
Always. Until the end.
Then, your whole body jolts in shock as the phone begins to ring - a loud, shrill insistent noise sounding out into the night, setting off a dog barking across the way, and a baby crying through the paper thin walls to your left.
It couldn’t be? Could it? It couldn’t be for you?
Still, you have to know, and so, you scramble into your snow boots and dash into the brisk night, grappling to lift the phone from its receiver before it rings out, your breath a white cloud of exertion before you.
And, at the same time that you connect to the caller, you spot the second harbinger. You see the shadowed figure there, approaching you from across the lot. You see the outline of a gun in their hand, and their trench billowing around their shins as they maintain a steady pace towards you.
You have nowhere left to run. This is the end of the line. You know it in the depths of you.
So, you simply flatten your back to the phone box, facing your assailant.
You simply close your eyes, willing everything else to disappear as an unmistakeably familiar voice filters through the speaker into your ear. You grip the receiver tightly with both hands.
Santiago Garcia says your name. Your real name. Not one of many aliases you’ve had to assume, painting lies over your existence. He says your real name -one you haven’t heard spoken in so long- and your bottom lip begins to tremble. “Honey, is that you?”
You smile, tears of joy cascading down your face as his simple words stoke more warmth than you have felt in so long. Even as the cold bites at your skin. Even as you hear the continued crunch of footsteps in the snow. Even as you hear a gun cock, mere feet from your body.
Hearing his voice, you think your knees may buckle in relief regardless.
“Hey, old friend,” you say fondly, through an inexplicable, watery smile. And, despite the situation, you feel happy, for the first time in a long while. Bizarre as it is, you are finally able to relax all the way.
Will he remember me as kind, at least?
You grip the phone even more tightly as Santi’s voice surges, coming at you with a million urgent questions. You let them flow through you, and then they are gone, just as easily. You know you will not be afforded the chance to answer even one. So, you say something else instead.
“Remember me, okay?” you breathe. “Remember how I loved you. And I did, Santiago. Right until the end of the line.”
You hope that he will. You can only hope that when the stories and lies and secrets and compromises come out, that he will remember you the way you were in Massachusetts. Before things started to unravel. Before you went on the run.
And, as your eyes screw themelsleves tightly shut, and you brace yourself for what is inevitably coming, you don’t think of him as he is now. Someone distant. Someone who doesn’t belong to you. Someone at the end of the line. You don’t think of yourself that way either.
You remember him the way he was in Massachusetts.
You hope dearly, that he will think of you that way too.
You finally feel warm.

Headcanon: Let’s break up on the 30th of February
This work, 我们 2月30日号分手吧, was originally written by 君兮耶君兮 on Weibo, and she has given me permission to translate it 🌸
[ VICTOR ]
Every failed prank pulled on Victor has only served to embolden you. Once again, you’ve come up with an idea on how to challenge him.
“Victor. After giving it much thought, I've decided to break up with you on the 30th of February.” Exercising your acting skills, you bite your lower lip, standing before him with a pitiful expression. Your eyes are welling with tears as you pretend to be torn between reluctance and resoluteness.
“Mm,” Victor responds simply.
Without lifting his head, he circles some data on your proposal with a red pen, then draws a cross.
Hold on, why is this situation turning out different from what you imagined? Wasn’t he supposed to tug on your hand, begging you not to leave with reddened eyes? Turns out the television dramas lied!
You gripe, pinching his ear. “You actually responded with just a ‘mm’!”
“What else?” He creates some distance between himself and the desk, giving you more space to move. Resigned, he covers his hand over yours, rescuing his poor ear from your clutches.
“Do you not love me anymore? As expected, men don’t know how to treasure what they’ve obtained!” You lunge at him, and the chair swivels backwards along with this action. Fortunately, Victor holds you before you fall.
“Didn’t you say it yourself?” After keeping you steady, he brings you into his arms.
Enraged, you give him glare, climbing up from his body and giving him an angry stomp on the foot. “Who was the one who said he’d never leave me? Now that I want a break up, you aren’t even trying to make me stay.”
Victor’s brows scrunch up in pain. “Did you really think I wouldn’t know that the 30th of February doesn’t exist?”
Seeing that your plot has been unravelled, you chuckle in embarrassment. Trying to placate him, you nuzzle into his arms. “Heheh, Teacher Victor is really smart!”
He encircles his arm around your waist. As though he’s forgiving a playful child for the umpteenth time, he pinches your waist as a small punishment. “Since a certain someone doesn’t have sufficient IQ, I’ll have to make up for her absence of IQ.”
“Victor, there’s no need for personal attacks!
[ GAVIN ]
Having an off day from work, the two of you decide to stay at home instead of heading out.
He’s currently reading a book while you’re scrolling on your phone as usual. All of a sudden, you come across a pretty interesting prank, and decide to use it on Gavin. “Gavin, let’s break up on the 30th of February.
Gavin freezes, the arm around your shoulders loosening by quite a fair amount. He turns his head stiffly towards you, a dash of pain flashing in his dimming amber eyes. “Have you... thought it through?”
“I have. We’ll break up on the 30th of February.” You give him a nod of certainty.
Gavin retracts his right hand which was around you earlier. With his brows tightly knit, he speaks carefully, his tone filled with unease. “Then... before you find someone who can protect you, could I continue protecting you in the meantime?”
Oh my goodness, I forgot how honest this man could be.
“Gav, look at the calendar.” Knowing that you’ve gone too far, you hurriedly tap open the calendar app on your phone.
“I’m not looking! I know that it’s the 26th of February today, and there are four more days till the 30th.” Gavin cranes his neck away, pushing away the phone you’ve brought to him, tone slightly upset. If he had ears on the top of his head, they’d definitely be drooping.
“Why don’t you take another look?” Suppressing your laughter, you push the phone in front of him again.
“I don’t want to!” He squeezes his eyes shut. “You’re going to tell me that it’s a non-leap year, which means there’s a year and four days left. But a year passes by really quickly, and the 30th will arrive soon.”
Oh no, I’ve shocked this poor boy silly.
Not receiving a response from you even after a long time, Gavin opens his eyes to find that you’ve been rendered speechless. He lowers his head with a pout. “Am I wrong?”
With a sigh, you lift his head, giving him a gentle gaze as you explain. “Dear, it’s a non-leap year, but there are only 29 days in February even in a leap year. There will never be a 30th February, which is why I’ll never break up with you in this lifetime.”
“...”
Gavin blinks, reacting only after a long while. Reaching out to encase you back into his arms, his fluffy hair nuzzles the crook of your neck affectionately. “You gave me a scare. In compensation, go stargazing with me tonight.”
[ LUCIEN ]
The bathroom is always the easiest place for inspiration to strike.
“Lucien, I’ve made a decision. I’ll break up with you on the 30th of February.” Your expression is solemn as you step out of the bathroom, looking at Lucien as he reads a book.
The light in Lucien eyes dim, and he sets down the book. With a mellow tone, he asks, “Little Butterfly, are you serious?”
You nod, repeating yourself once more with the acting skills you’ve picked up from actors during filming. “I’m serious. We’ll break up on 30th February.”
Lucien pauses for a moment, then lowers his head in thought. The situation dawns on him, and he releases a sigh, casting you a resigned glance. Tugging on your hand so that you sit in front of the dressing table, he takes out the hair dryer and dries your hair slowly. “Sorry. Even though I know there won’t be a 30th February, I won’t agree to it.”
“Huh? Why not?” You turn your head, speaking loudly amid the whirring wind. “Since you’ve already figured it out, just play along with me!”
He pats your half-dried hair, then turns the hair dryer off. Then, he locates the styling brush and tidies your hair. “I don’t wish for us to be tainted by the term ‘break up’, even if the chances of that happening is zero.”
Lucien is indeed pretty sensitive when it comes to this matter. Realising this, you obediently sit still on the chair like an elementary school kid, leaving him to tidy your hair. “Okay okay, I was in the wrong. I won’t joke about such things next time. Also, I can promise that the butterfly will never leave her painter in this lifetime.”
“Good.” The corners of Lucien’s lips curl upwards, satisfied.
He picks up the hair dryer again. “Since you’ve admitted your mistake, your punishment will be to make me cream puffs, and accompany me to class tomorrow, in the capacity of a family member.”
[ KIRO ]
Once again catching Kiro red-handed as he steals your snacks, you grab a fistful of his hair angrily. “Kiro, since you’re always taking my snacks, I've decided to break up with you on the 30th of February!”
“Miss Chips, you saw that post too?” Kiro completely ignores the first half of your sentence. As though lacking even a shred of remorse, he places your favourite snack back in its original position, unable to hide it in time. He stands up obediently, the innocent expression on his face causing your anger to dissipate.
“Huh? You already know about it?”
“Of course. There’s nothing Kiro doesn’t know!” Being able to escape unscathed, Kiro’s imaginary tail wags in the air.
You roll your eyes, chasing him away from the snack cupboard. “Boring.”
“But Miss Chips, let’s not say such things in the future. I’ll admit that I was a little frightened earlier.” He lifts his hand, showing you a gap between his thumb and forefinger. “But just a little.”
“Really! Did I really scare you?” Pleasantly surprised, you turn around.
Kiro arches his brows in astonishment, then lowers his head as though upset. “Miss Chips, what’s with that excited expression?”
“Ever since we returned from the haunted house, I’ve always wanted to give you a fright, then snap photographs of your expression and make them into memes,” you laugh, taking out a small box from your pocket. Retrieving the lock from within, you clasp it onto the snack cupboard under Kiro’s shocked gaze.
“Miss Chips!!”
On that day, all the citizens within 10km distance had a discussion online about how they heard a man mimicking the voice of superstar Kiro, but his tone sounded so miserable that it was akin to a squealing pig awaiting its demise.
[ SHAW ]
After who knows how many times of facing Shaw’s mockery, you decide to give him a scare by employing a new prank you learnt on the web.
“Shaw, I’m ending our relationship as girlfriend and boyfriend on the 30th of February!”
Shaw’s eyes flit to you leisurely as he grabs the final chicken cutlet on the coffee table. Revealing a triumphant grin, he begs to be punched as he responds, “Pick another day. There won’t be a 30th February in your lifetime.”
???
Finding this incredulous, your eyes widen. “You little brat - you’re looking forward to the end of our relationship, aren't you?”
“I wouldn't say that I’m ‘looking forward’ to it, but it’s inevitable.”
He doesn’t explain further, licking the corners of his lips. Then, he takes a sip of mixed cola from your coke. The longer you watch him, the more enraged you are. It’s often said that people tend to lose their rationality when angry. Without much thought, the words in your head leap out of your mouth.
“Fine! Since you’re so certain, I’ll end this relationship with your annoying eggplant head today!”
“Sure.” Shaw feels around in his pocket.
You turn around to leave, never wanting to see this eggplant head ever again.
“Hey, wait.” He suddenly calls you. “I haven’t gotten my household register.”
Puzzled, you turn around with a glare. “A break up is just a break up. Why do you need your household register?”
Shaw stares at you as though he’s looking at a blockhead. “We’re ending our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, so isn’t the next step to start our relationship as husband and wife?”
At this stage, it’s difficult to remain angry. Yet, in order to preserve some dignity, you stutter and stammer, face flushed. “W-who even wants to start a relationship as husband and wife with you!”
“Who else but you?” Shaw digs through the drawer, retrieving both of your household registers. Grabbing your hand, he pulls you out of the house. “Let’s go and get a marriage license.”

Hi, can you do an angsty fic for kuroo x reader? Doesn’t have to be nsfw if you don’t want it to be, but if you’re okay with it, please do.
forget me not (edited + rewritten ver. here)
(ft. tetsurou kuroo)
synopsis: your love for kuroo is like a forget me not - always there, but constantly overlooked.
This is very short and somewhat angsty (my heart hurts but I’m sure everyone has different tolerances for angst. I’m just a big baby). Thank you so much anon for giving me my very first request!! It was so much fun to write this. I hope you enjoy it :)
When you first met him, you were insanely jealous of Tetsurou Kuroo. Being an overweight, chubby kid with your head always in books was hard enough. But it was worse when there was a smart and athletic kid as your neighbour, no less. You remember blatantly closing your front door in Kuroo’s face when he would stop by your house to invite you to play volleyball, right before muttering something about annoying know-it-alls who never gave up. You hated his idiotic face. Why couldn’t he understand that someone like you could never be friends with someone like him?
But he came by, every afternoon, the same dorky smile plastered on his face. And then on the eve of your twelfth birthday, you asked him to wait.
In middle school, it’s hard to be friends with both girls and boys. You realised this very early on when the girls would shun you for hanging out with Kuroo and Kenma. Of course, you weren’t that fazed because the solution was simple: you could just hang out with the boys instead.
But as you rushed to meet them at the cafeteria, you heard the snickers of rowdy boys as they pointed and teased. Kenma looks uncomfortable, and you can’t blame him. You know very well how mean people could be and why sometimes being alone was much better than being vulnerable with someone else. It was why you and him clicked so quickly within days of meeting each other.
Kuroo stood up and waved, beckoning you over, the same dorky smile you were used to since elementary school plastered on his face. You hesitated only for a moment before walking over, but Kuroo had noticed.
“Don’t pay them any attention. They’re just dumb,” he said this loudly, his voice easily heard by those sitting at nearby tables. “You’re always welcome here. We both want you here,” he nudged Kenma then who jolted his attention from his food to us and quickly nodded in agreement.
It had been raining on the way home that day and the chill had seeped into your bones, but Kuroo’s words from earlier had already instilled a seedling of warmth in your heart in the form of a four leaf clover.
It was in your first year of middle school, when you finally understood what it meant to have all the hope in the word.
In your first year of high school, you’re shocked at how many girls want to be your friend. You quickly find out it’s because of your close friendship with Kuroo.
“I didn’t expect you two to be so close! Can you introduce him to us? Pleaseee?”
It was always hard to say no, but Kuroo’s surprising popularity wasn’t what bugged you.
“Hey, Kenma,” you looked up from your book and stared at your friend as he tapped away at his game console. “Are people surprised when they see you’re close with Kuroo?”
“Huh?” He scrunched up his eyebrows and quickly glanced at you, almost as if to confirm he heard you correctly. “No. That’s stupid, why would it be surprising?”
Why, indeed.
It takes you almost a year to realise it’s because your personality doesn’t match his. Of course, you don’t come to this conclusion yourself. You had heard it amongst the many loud whispers that take place in the girls bathroom, and began to realize that it was true. You never really had understood the excitement that was associated with spreading gossip in the bathrooms, and you disliked it even more so when you heard your name being thrown around.
Girls like you aren’t meant for guys like Kuroo.
But who cares, right? That’s what you had told yourself then. After all, it was you, not them, who was close friends with him. And your silly little heart was content that way.
But in your final year of high school, Kuroo came to the rooftop of the school building where you and Kenma waited. It had been a tradition; every lunch, one of you would go buy bread for everyone. But that day, in the middle of spring, the cherry blossoms had bloomed, and Kuroo brought both bread and his new girlfriend to introduce to his two closest friends. You all exchanged pleasantries, you specifically avoiding eye contact with Kuroo, speaking mostly to his girlfriend, Akari, instead. You bonded quickly - it was hard to not like her when she was so open and honest and relatable. But even though you liked her as a person, your lips threatened to tremble when you and Kenma smiled at them both as you waved goodbye. The silence that follows their departure is deafening, because Kenma knows everything. He doesn’t say anything, because frankly, what’s there to be said? You don’t want to put him in an awkward position between you and Kuroo, so you take out your console and you both start playing together.
Soon, it’s the only thing you ever do during lunch breaks at school anymore.
The mirror stands there, and you slowly avoid it, wrapping a towel around you before you pass it.
It really is a terrible thing, pointing out and magnifying your flaws in such a way that it's burned into your brain so you can never forget it.
Today, you were meeting Kuroo and Kenma for brunch after your lecture this morning. It was the perfect opportunity to skip breakfast.
The restaurant chosen was one they had frequented often. Kuroo and Kenma were already there by the time you arrived.
“So, what do you think?” Kuroo stared down at the box he had placed on the table and pulled at his collar. He was nervous and distracted, you could tell with the way he traced the outlines and shapes of his phone, wallet, and the envelope.
You realise within a moment that he wants someone to believe in himself - to tell him that he’s okay, that he’s doing great. That he’s making her happy. “It’s wonderful,” you break the silence first, and you can’t keep the awe from lacing your words even if you tried. It was such a beautiful gesture, you wanted to cry at the unfairness of it all. “Akari’s going to love it so much,”
Kenma follows suit and gives a nod. “It’s very much your style too. And your tastes match hers.”
There’s a light blush that dusts his cheeks and he clears his throat. Your chest tightens as you realize you haven’t seen this side of Kuroo in years. Since your high school graduation, probably. “Thanks guys. I’m so nervous,”
“Yeah, we can tell just by looking at you,” Kenma rolls his eyes and it lightens the entire mood of the table. It’s been a while since all three of you were able to joke and laugh like this. Like before - before Akari had come in and joined the group and all of a sudden, Kuroo had slowly begun to forget everything about you.
The waitress brings the menus around soon, and asks for your orders. Your stomach rumbles silently and you take a quick sip of your water. The thought of eating something and gaining weight makes you a little dizzy. You distinctly remember what happened the last time you stood naked in front of your mirror and you push the menu away. “Oh, I’m fine. I had a big breakfast,”
You let yourself forget about the reality of the here and now, and only for a moment, you imagine what you wished it was like instead.
You escape to a place where you’re finally enough for someone like Kuroo, and a small part of you jumps up to hold onto a slither of hope that dangles right above your fingertips. That one day, just maybe, it could be true.
It’s raining when you receive the news. It’s not the light rain that we hope for on days we don’t want to leave the house - it’s pouring outside with dark thunderclouds. The sound of the rain beating down on your glass windows and doors is deafening.
“She said yes!”
Kuroo bursts in, laughing, his hair slick from the rain, and for a brief moment in time, you think he’s talking about something else. You’re transported to an alternate universe where he’s coming home to you. But then Akari follows suit quickly, her eyes bright and sparkling as she holds up her hand.
There’s a ring on her finger.
Your mug slips from your hands, but you don’t hear the shatter of glass. Instead you let out a delirious laugh, your hands coming over to cover your mouth because you really cannot believe you didn’t see this coming - god, you were so stupid. But what did you expect, really? This was real life after all.
They mistake your laugh for one of ecstasy and you find some relief in the fact that one of your closest friends now knows so little about you. Kenma comes around, his eyes worried as he sits next to you on the sofa. You didn’t even realise his arrival and you apologise before heading to the kitchen to grab a bottle and some glasses. You needed to numb the pain. They needed to celebrate.
Akari has already started recounting the entire scenario by the time you get back to the group and you realize you’re glad that you missed most of it. The unwelcome thought makes you feel terrible.
Kuroi drowns his glass, the telltale sign of his eyes being glazed over a clear sign that you needed to cut him off now. “You know,” he begins, staring right at you, his finger intertwined loving with his fiancée’s. “Up until I met Akari, I always thought it’d be you,”
Your heart stops. You hear a sharp gasp, and realize it came from you but you can’t bring yourself to even look at him. He mistakes your gasp as one of indignation and lets out a genuine laugh.
But he doesn’t understand that it’s the final nail on the coffin.
Akari stirs in his arms, and he carries her up bridal style, everything else forgotten, and claims that it was time to go home. He bids both you and Kenma goodbye and jokes about keeping an eye out for the wedding invitations soon.
You force out a laugh, but you’re so exhausted from pretending that you can’t help but wonder what would happen if you just didn’t.
Kenma shuffles awkwardly at the door after Kuroo leaves and places a warm, comforting hand on your head. His voice is soft as usual but missing the undertones of nonchalance that had quickly become a signature of his. “I know Kuroo said what he did, but you have to understand.. Kuroo, he.. h-he doesn’t really…” he trails off, his voice getting quieter and quieter. You know he means well - he wants you to move on and be happy with someone who loves you like all your friends.
You can’t help but take pity on him, and quickly offer an escape from the impossibility of trying to sugarcoat the ugly truth that continuously returned to tear at your heartstrings. “I know, Kenma. I’m not silly,” you chuckle and you hope he can’t hear the hollowness in it. Your voice strains with the effort to keep it even, and when you swallow, you can feel sharp needles stabbing at your heart. “Men like Kuroo were never made for women like me,”
And this time, you believe it.
It’s 3am and I just finished writing this and my brain is an absolute mess. I’m half tempted to make a second part with a fluffy ending because I had to cut out so much stuff that I wanted to include, but I’m not sure yet. Sorry for any spelling/grammatical mistakes - this entire thing was written on my phone so I think there will be much more than usual but I will be going over to fix up all the mistakes tomorrow. Let me know what y’all think!! But for now, goodnight.

Nuclear Family I
A/N: As requested (accidentally deleted the ask soz) a Dad!Harry where you visit him with your daughter and you live together as a family even though the reality is far from it. But for the sake of your kid you put up with it. The next part gets better promise!
Part I / Part II / Part III / Part IV / Part V
--------
“Charlie don’t get too far,” I call out to my three year old. She gives me a disappointed look but I return one of my own and she drags her feet back to me.
Sometimes it felt like it had always been just me and Charlotte and other times it was hard to believe it would be almost four years since I’d had her. The moment she was born-two weeks early-on a rainy August day, I knew I made the right choice to keep her.
“When are we getting on the airplane?” my daughter pouts. She reminded me so much of her father with her bold eyes framed by her lowered brows. I remember when I held her for the first time in my arms and she blinked up at me, her big eyes were a dewy field reflecting her father. It was then that it hit me that no matter where he and I were on earth-we were still somehow connected. And since I was still in love with him then, it hurt. But I learned soon to pour my love into Charlotte and focus on raising her the best I could.
“We’ll be boarding soon." I pick her up and hold her on my knees to keep her from running off again. This was my first time travelling with her-her father generally came down to LA a few times a year to visit her so we never had the need to make the trip. This time, for her fourth birthday, we’d decided to go to London and stay there for the month. And since I was my own boss, I could take my work anywhere.
“I want to see daddy,” Charlie whines.
"We will babe,” I try to soothe her.
“Daddy” was Harry Styles, the Harry Styles. We met through a friend over six years ago when he was in LA. Up until meeting him, it felt like I was living a grey version of my life. Our chemistry was explosive and our connection instant--colouring my world a vibrant hue. We were in love-so in love I moved to London a few months later to be with him and it was going perfectly until I got pregnant. We agreed to keep the baby-it was a no brainer, but as the months went by and the reality sunk in, our relationship took a hit. Suddenly we were arguing about insignificant things, Harry stayed out late with friends or in the studio and wasn’t as supportive as he should have been, and I wasn’t happy. When I brought up the separation Harry looked almost relieved-which hurt. When I brought up moving back to LA he was enraged, but after a few days he agreed. Now, our Charlie saw him a few times a year when he lived in LA and she would stay with him. Our interactions were limited to picking her up and as I’d heard it Harry had a steady girlfriend for the past year. Despite all that, I still loved him. What we had was unlike anything I’d felt, seen, or read about before. I knew he'd felt it too, the music he released spoke the words he never said. But the ugliness of the last few months of our relationship always kept me from remaining wistful. Harry didn’t want commitement. He only had room in his heart for our daughter and I was fine with that.
We were staying around the corner from Harry’s at an air bnb for convenience. Ever since having Charlotte, I hadn’t been outside of the US so this was exciting yet daunting. The idea of seeing London again, all my old friends, and Harry gave me a rush of mixed emotions.
The landing and locating of our luggage had a few bumps and a minor tantrum but our taxi takes us to the flat where we are met with the hostess.
“There’s been a terrible mistake,” she wrings her hands as we stand in the heat of the summer afternoon.
“What kind of mistake?” My heart drops and there’s a tugging on my dress. Charlotte demands to be picked up.
“We accidentally booked another couple to the flat.” The woman responds.
“What?” If I wasn’t this tired, I would be shouting. “How can you make a mistake like that? I booked this well in advance!”
“I understand,” the woman says. “Your booking must have been accidentally cancelled and I-the couple is fine with sharing the flat-”
“I have a small child with me as you can see,” I cut her off not going into detail why our privacy was extremely important. “I’m not living with two strangers when I secured the place for all of August. This is bullshit,” I spit out, forgetting Charlie could hear me. This trip was not going how it should be. “I’m contacting air bnb and-”
My rant is cut short when my phone vibrates. Harry.
“Hi,” I answer.
“Daddy!” Charlotte yells into my ear. I hush her with a glance and try to listen to what Harry was saying.
“-landed? I was trying to reach you where are you?”
I sigh and give the woman a dirty look. “We’ve just arrived at the bnb and apparently there’s been a ‘mistake’ and it’s double booked so now I don’t know where-”
“Shit, stay with me,” comes Harry's steady voice.
“I couldn’t,” comes my own, slightly less steady voice. Staying with Harry would be bad for me. It would only stir old emotions back up and make it harder to leave once again. I just knew it.
“I’m right around the corner Y/N. Just stay until you find another place at least.”
I couldn’t argue with that. I agree and order an Uber, giving the woman a piece of my mind before I go.
Charlotte had fallen asleep on my shoulder in the midst of all of it so I struggle with the child, our luggage, and my phone when I reach Harry's.
“I’ll be right down,” he says. My stomach is suddenly doing sommersaults and I can barely feel my legs. I saw Harry near Christmas! Why was I suddenly so nervous?
“Hey,” Harry enters the lobby in a black shirt and jeans and his glasses sit atop his mess of hair. “You look lovely Y/N, but that’s nothing new.”
Harry's grin is like a crack in the ice surrounding us and I give him a quick hug hello.
“Let me get that.” He grabs the luggage and we wait for the elevator again.
“She fell asleep,” Harry brushes our daughter’s hands and she shifts on my shoulder.
“She’s been doing that since the ride,” I say. “I think jet lag is already doing her in.”
Harry smiles at her and the tenderness in his gaze holds me captive. It was a while since I saw Harry look like that.
Harry gets the luggage onto the lift and I follow him in. The mirrored interior reflects the glimpses he takes of me but I stay staring forward, not wanting to give in.
“Won’t your girlfriend mind?” I ask Harry when we enter his flat. “That we’re staying with you.”
“About that,” Harry scratches his nose. “I’m sure she’ll understand. We should talk though…about the trip.”
“Of course, let me just put Charlotte to bed.” Harry points out the spare room and I can tell Charlie will like it here with the amount of stuffed animals Harry's decorated the bed with. She was spoiled.
“So you can stay as long as you want here,” Harry begins. “Or if you want to find someplace else I understand. Whatever you feel comfortable with.”
He holds my gaze as he talks and I nod along. It was all very proper and polite, almost as if we’d never had anything more than a friendly relationship.
“What’s your schedule like?” I ask. “I know we already figured things out but if I’m staying for a few days here will I be in the way of anything?”
“I’m filming in a few days, I took a lot of time off the next couple weeks for Charlie but that’s it. Then I'm in the studio after that." Harry scratches the back of his head. “Just make yourself at home don’t worry what I’ve got to do.”
“I don’t want to get in the way. I know we didn’t plan for this,” I flush. Harry reaches over and squeezes my shoulder.
“I want you to feel comfortable, love...”
I’m suddenly 21 and Harry and I are on one of our first dates at a bar. He holds onto my hand and tells me he really likes me. He asks me if we wanted to take our relationship past the dating stage. I’m giddy and drunk on love and kiss him yes.
“Mom?” A small voice calls out.
“Yes!” I jump up and shake the memories off, rushing to the spare room. Charlotte sits up in bed with a frown on her grumpy face. “I’m right here babe.” I scoop her up and she holds onto me, already holding a stuffed koala in the other hand.
“So you’ve met Mr. Blake.” Harry walks into the room and points to the koala.
And just like that Charlotte is jumping into her dad’s arms and bubbling with laughter, explaining how his real name is Oreo. My heart squeezes watching the two interact. Charlie is more awake than before the plane ride as she continues with her endless chatter. Harey is wide-eyed and drinking in everything she says. She says something funny and he throws his head back laughing, kissing the side of her head while she giggles. Seeing them two made my heart full.
“Momma I’m hungry,” Charlie says abruptly.
“You must be,” I look at the time. “It’s been a while since we ate.”
“Let’s have an early dinner out,” Harry suggests.
“That’s not necessary-” I try to say but Charlie cuts me off with a big cheer and soon Harry joins in and he’s off with her riding his back with her hands clasped tightly around his neck. I would never win with those two together so I find my wallet and join them.
“I didn’t realise how much I needed this,” Harry says on our walk to the restaurant. It was a ten minute walk Harry wanted to take, reassuring me that we wouldn't be bothered. Charlotte holds her dad’s hand and stares in wonder at the new city around her. “I can’t believe you-she-Charlie hasn’t ever been down here.”
“She was so excited to finally see where her Dad lives,” I laugh at the image of her bouncing off the walls in happiness.
“I think the weirdest thing for me is that my baby has an American accent,” Harry comments.
“I never thought about that!” I laugh. “At least she won’t be saying things like crisps and the loo!”
“Oi that’s offensive,” Harry jokes. “My english is just as good as yours mate!”
“Now you sound Australian!” I tease.
Harry laughs and bumps his shoulder into mine.
“Australia has kangaroos,” Charlotte comments randomly.
“We’ve got a clever one,” Harry winks at me. “They’ve got massive spiders too.” Harry says to our daughter but little does he know she actively picked up spiders.
Charlie starts jumping like a kangaroo and soon Harry picks her up and sits her on his shoulder where she shouts to anybody who listens that she was on top of the world.
“I always tell people she’s got that energy from her dad,” I tell Harry quietly. There a shine to his eyes as he looks to Charlie and she looks down at him and shouts it louder.
“My mum and dad were thinking of coming around this weekend to see her,” Hadry suddenly says.
“That would be nice for her. To see her family,” I say.
“I mean you’d be there too?” Harry says.
“Oh, right.” My mouth dries at the thought of having to see his family. They were a great bunch but the way Harry and I ended things so abruptly was an uncomfortable reminder. “I’ll try to make it.”
“Charlie can have some sort of a normal family dinner,” Harry jokes.
“Both parents and grandparents? That would make her trip actually.” I say with a little bit of sadness. Charlotte wouldn’t grow up with both parents like Harry and I had the privlege of and that hurt me thinking about it.
“I wish she could have that all the time,” Harry sighs. He glances over at me as he says it and there’s something unspoken. But Charlie grabs a fistful of his hair and he has to get her down in her drunken power.
The restaurant is cozy and Charlie talks a mile a minute with the attention of both her parents. Every so often when she says something ridiculous or something related to an old inside joke from years past, Harry will glance over at me with a smile. It’s a secret language between us, and I swear I even feel his hand brush my own but I chalk it up to accidents. Harry had a girlfriend, he had no business doing that with me.
It gets more confusing later that night. Harry had plans to go out at 8 and Charlie falls asleep by half past 7. Being in LA time, I stay snuggled in the couch, watching a random movie Harry recommended. My eyes drift shut halfway but I’m awoken by a bang. My eyes squint in the dark as my hand feels for my phone. 1:47AM the bright display reads.
“Sorry,” comes a voice. The lights flick on and Harry stands dishevelled in the clothes he went out in. “I was trying to keep quiet I di'know you were sleeping!”
He was drunk-whispering which meant his voice was only slightly lower than normal. He stumbles towards me and falls onto the sofa, yanking his shoes off with a great deal of effort.
“Were you sleeping?” He asks me up close.
“I guess so,” I respond. “Did you have a good time?”
A part of me feels awash with sadness, the dull and familiar ache settling into my chest. Another part of me is angry at myself for still being in love with a man who could not love me the same way.
“It would have been nice if you came,” Harry reaches out and twists a strand of my hair. “Are you naturally a brunette?”
“I am,” I say gently. “You should drink water before bed.”
“No-no don’t start taking care of me!” Harry puts a pillow on his lap. “I’m supposed to be taking care of my girls. But I’m doing a shite job I guess.”
He stifles his laugh. I try to stifle the pang in my chest when he says 'my girls’ because it meant nothing more than just words. I couldn’t afford to read into these things. But when Harry switches the pillow to my lap and lays his head down, all self-control gets chucked out he door.
“It’s been so long since we talked,” Harry tries to whisper again. He reaches out to touch my hair again, his fingers lingering on my face before lowering to his side again.
“You came to LA a lot,” in my statement is also an accusation. He never came in to my apartment or asked me to go out.
“You never invited me in,” Harry says quietly.
“Surely I did?” I tell him.
“No,” his reply is almost a sigh. I realise maybe I didn’t make it so explicit.
“My mistake,” I admit. “But you know you were always welcomes.” I trace the bridge of his nose.
“I know,” Harry says with a boyish smile. “I was slightly nervous when we were on your terf. I didn’t ask either-you’re right.”
Involuntarily I brush my fingers through Harry's hair. Instantly, his body relaxes with a sigh as he closes his eyes. So I remove my hand immediately and nudge him.
“I should go to bed,” I wait for him to clumsily get up. We walk to the stairs together where Harry wishes me goodnight. He leans foward and misses my forehead by an inch, kissing my eyebrow instead.
“Night,” I back away into the spare where Charlotte sleeps, rubbing my eyebrow. In bed, I try to sort through my feelings. My eyes land on the sleeping body next to me and I pull her into me. She was all I needed, I try to remind myself. I was only here for her. Harry and I were never getting together again.

Unexpected
Warnings: Based on two episodes with my twist. Just case talks, the squad actually not being friendly, hurt reader and fluff
I wrote this SO long ago, second guessed putting it up, but its time it saw the light.
WC: 2226
Enjoy x
“I told you not to put her on the stand. All you guys do is treat me like I don’t know what I’ am doing. I handed you all a solid case that didn’t involve her and you have blown it”
“You’re out of line Detective” Rafael spat back to you.
“No, you’re out of line Counselor, you know it all”
“You need to calm down Y/N” Liv said firmly with a slightly raised voice.
“I’ve had enough of this crap I should have stayed in Brooklyn, at least they listened and wanted me there”
You stormed out of Rafael’s’ office slamming his glass door behind you making the whole wall shake.
“Is she always this emotional?” Rafael frowned at Liv
“Well, No. She is right Rafa, about everything” He rolled his eyes at Liv.
“Who’s the ADA here?”
“You, but she is right”
You had been at Manhattan SVU for 4 months after transferring from Brooklyn SVU. You and Sonny were old friends. You had finished the academy together, and then finally crossed paths again in Brooklyn. You actually wished you had stayed there. Back in Brooklyn you were one of them, you got along with the ADA, and everyone was close friends. Sonny had recommend you to Liv after you cracked a big string of rapes and she wanted to meet you. Liv offered you the position and you stupidly took it, thinking that you would have been welcomed with open arms, how wrong you were.
From the moment you walked in you felt like an outsider, even Sonny was different with you, even though he was your partner. He never backed you up on anything, you were always wrong. They treated you like you didn’t belong there and never took on board anything you had to say. Even if they asked you for after work drinks, you were left out and would leave early. It got to the point that you dreaded walking into the bullpen every morning. Rafael was the worst of all, he treated you like you were invisible, which you hated because you had feelings for him from the moment you laid eyes on him.
A huge case had come in. A women had accused an Olympian, and once it was made public 2 other women came forward. You had a funny feeling about the 3rd women that came forward, all she had was the story, nothing else to back it up. The first two victims had doctor’s reports and had told someone as soon as it happened. You had worked hard on your own to make a new case file with just two victims who had all the evidence from their attack and gave it to Rafael one day when he was in the squad room before the trial started.
“She is lying”
“You don’t know that” Sonny said back to you.
“Barba don’t put her on the stand, I have given you everything with just the other two victims, it's bullet proof.”
“Why Deactivate? Because you have a feeling?” he smirked at you “Three victims have come forward, three victims will be put on the stand”
“You’re making a big mistake”
“How about you let me do my job. We don’t go off feeling here, we go off evidence”
“Yeah and she has none” you snapped back.
Rafael ended up putting her on the stand and the defence ripped her to pieces. She confessed that she was paid by another Olympian to say she was attacked by the other just to get him out of the running for the Olympics, which ended in the case being a mistrial and he got away with the other two attacks.
Rafael had felt bad after Liv walked out of his office. He had put the case file you had made him in his draw the day you gave it to him, not even bothering to take on board what you said. Rafael pulled it out and had a look, you had been right. You had given him a bullet proof case which would have guaranteed the attacker would have been put away.
You were a good Detective and very beautiful, but you never looked happy, you were always stand offish and never got involved with them. Everything fell into place in his mind. Everyone did treat you like you didn’t know anything and they never included you. He thought back to how he treated you and regret filled him. From the first day he meet you and you smiled at him, his tummy filled with butterflies. But he didn’t want to get hurt, so he did what he did best and closed himself off to you, clearly doing a lot of damage.
You sat in Forlini’s on your 2nd double vodka soda. Everything was running through your head, you were so angry it was making you cry. After everything that had happen, you pulled your phone from your pocket and opened your emails and sent one to Liv asking for a personal week next week, and then emailed your old Lieutenant asking to have a meeting with him when he was free.
You couldn’t do it anymore. It was all too much. These last 4 months had been horrible. Your old Lieutenant didn’t want you to leave in the first place, but had told you there was a position for you whenever you wanted to come back. You hit send when you felt someone sit next to you. You looked over and it was Sonny.
“How much have you had to drink?”
“Why do you care?”
“Come on Y/N, why are you acting like this?”
“You’re really asking me that question?” You frowned at Sonny.
“What do you mean?”
“From the moment I walked in, all you guys have done is make me feel unwelcome. You’re my partner and you don’t even back me up. I hate it here, I wish I never made the transfer. We were friends before here, you’re so different. I don’t know you anymore”
“I didn’t mean-Why didn’t you talk to me about it?” Sonny had a sad look on his face.
“And what’s the point in that? You would just laugh it off and go back to ignoring me with the rest of them”
“I’ am sorry”
“Bit late for that. Just go”
Sonny looked at you, got down off his bar stool and walked away.
A couple hours later you were on your 5th drink, it was getting dark out. You could feel the alcohol making your head swim. But you felt numb which is what you wanted.
“How many of them have you had?”
“What’s it to you?” You didn’t even look up to see who it was.
“How many have you had Detective?” Rafael was standing next to you frowning when you finally looked up.
“Why does everyone seem to care all of a sudden?”
“Excuse me” Rafael sat down on the chair next you and ordered some water and fries.
“What do you want Counselor?”
“Look, I should have listened to you. You were-you were right”
You looked up at him through glassy eyes.
“Doesn’t matter now anyway, I’ll be out of your hair soon enough”
“What do you mean?”
“I’ am going to transfer back. Well hopefully I can. I mean I want to. I have a meeting next week. I hope the boss says yes” you skulled down the last of your drink.
“Why do you want to leave?” he all of a sudden filled with sadness.
“You’re as dumb as Sonny if you don’t know the answer to that question” He frowned to you “All you guys have done since I started here is leave me out and treat me like I don’t know my stuff. And you are worst of all, you treat me like I’ am invisible”
“No I d-”
“Yes you do. I can’t believe I ever had feelings for someone like you”
Rafael sat there and watched you, not sure if it was just the alcohol talking or if you really meant what you said. You felt uncomfortable him starring at you so you started to get down off the bar stool.
----
“Do you always let your girlfriend drink this much on a Friday night?” the Doctor gave Rafael a funny look.
“She’s not my girlfriend, she’s a co-worker”
“With the amount of alcohol in her system and the knock to the head. We will be keeping her in for tonight. She needs her concussion monitored. Maybe you should take better care of your co-worker while drinking.” The Doctor gave him a dirty look.
You woke up to a dark room and a crashing head ache. You let your eyes adjust and a figure caught your attention. You turned your head and Rafael was sitting there with a hospital blanket over him. You tried to adjust yourself, but you made so much noise, it woke him up.
“Sorry I woke you” you muttered.
“It’s ok” he rubbed his face “I’ am glad you’re awake” he gave you a soft smile.
“What happened?”
“You fell and hit your head on the bar. You have a concession”
“Explains the head ache” he laughed at you “Thanks for staying, but you can go now”
“No it’s ok, I’ am happy to stay”
You laid back down looking up at the ceiling.
“Did you mean what you said?” Rafael asked softly.
“Which part?” you sighed back.
“All of it”
“Yeah. I have next week off and I’ am going to talk to my old Lieutenant when he tells me what day I can” tears were filling your eyes.
“OK. But I’ am not just talking about that”
You took a deep breath and let out a small sigh.
“Why does it matter now anyway” You spat back at him sitting up in bed. Rafael walked over and sat on the edge grabbing your hand in his.
“Because I would like to know. Please”
You pulled your hand out of his,
“Of course I meant it. I just needed 5 drinks to finally say something. But like I said it doesn’t matter now”
“Can we ta-” Rafael started to say before you cut him off.
“No”
“Can I talk?” you finally looked into his eyes, they were such a beautiful shade of green and you slightly nodded.
“I’ am sorry. About the case, about making you feel the way you felt. I didn’t realise how I was treating you. I’ am sorry, please think about staying.”
“It’s a little too late for that.”
****
You were let out of Hospital the next day. Rafael ended up leaving early that morning, the DA called him in for a case. You got home and showered when there was a knock at your door. You were shocked when you opened it, seeing who was standing there, Liv, Sonny, Amanda and Fin, each holding a brown paper bag.
“What are you all doing here? Ah I mean come in” you stood aside and let them all in.
“Barba called Liv and told her what happened, so we decided to come over and I’ am going to cook” Sonny said back to you.
“And we want to apologise” Amanda grabbed your shoulder “For making you feel the way you do. We didn’t mean it, we were assholes and we don’t want you to leave”
“I know you have got in contact with your old Lieutenant, but please reconsider” Liv looked at you with a small smile.
Lunch was amazing and for the first time you felt like part of the squad. You just hoped that it would last. Everyone had left after helping to wash up, clean up, the left overs put in the fridge. You had just sat down on the couch when there was another knock on the door, you were even more shocked with who was standing there,
“I know everyone has left, but I brought dessert” Rafael had a big smile on his face “Can I come in?” you moved out of the way to let him make his way in, sitting the bag he was carrying on your kitchen bench “Sorry I wasn’t here with everyone else, the DA wanted me to go over a case, took longer than I expected. How are you feeling?”
“A bit better, thanks. Why did you call Liv?”
“I was worried about you. And, I guess, I hoped she would talk you out of leaving”
“Why?”
Rafael walked over to you, grabbing your hand to pull you around to look at him.
“Because, I like you”
“Is that how you treat people you like? Hate to see how you treat people you love”
“For that. I’ am sorry. I didn’t mean to. I was protecting myself”
You raised your eye brows at him. Before you had chance to say anything back, his lips came crashing on yours. Butterflies filled your tummy and you lent into him moving your head for him to deepen his kiss, Rafael resting his hands on your neck, you resting yours on his waist. After a moment you pulled away to catch your breath and looked into his eyes,
“That was unexpected” you smiled at him, Rafael smirking back at you.
“I really want to see where this goes, I promise I don’t love how I like”

When He Realises You’re The One ~ GOT7 Reaction
Mark:
It was only when Mark took you to America to meet his family, did he realise how hard he was falling for you. Getting along with his family was a big deal for him in knowing that he’d found the one to spend the rest of his life with.
As he sat by the pool next to his sister watching you splash around with his nieces in the water, did he feel his heart skip a beat. Their gleeful expressions and shrieks of delight told him everything in how well you were all getting along.
His family, of course, could see it too. His siter smiled across at him as his eyes were fixated in watching you swim around to get out of their way in looked like a fun game of tag. His sister cleared her throat causing him to look across at her. “You love her, don’t you?” She asked him, although the answer was already obvious to her.
“She’s just incredible, how is it possible not to fall in love with someone like her?” He challenged, giggling as she shrugged her shoulders.
He was lost in a daze, love was a strong word, a word he’d yet to openly used to talk about the two of you before.
“Yeah, I really do love her.”
Jaebum:
You crept into his studio, smiling as he was undisturbed by your figure walking into the room, tapping his shoulder lightly, removing the headphones he wore. “I knew you wouldn’t be looking after yourself,” you frowned, placing a bag of food in front of him.
“What are you doing here?” He giggled, taking a hold of your hand tightly.
“You’ve been so busy here recently I just thought I’d stop by and bring you some food, someone’s got to look after you when you’re forgetting to eat,” you frowned, taking a seat in the chair that was beside him, closing his computer down.
He pushed the sleeves of his jumper up, pulling out the containers that were all tightly packed into the carrier bag, each time revealing one of his favourite dishes. “Will you stay for a while? I want to enjoy your company for a few moments.”
“If that’s what you want,” you smiled in return.
Jaebum took the lid off the first dish, passing the first forkful of food across to you, if you were going to be there to look after him, he was also going to be there to look after you.
Jackson:
You couldn’t help but smile as you leant against the barrier, watching as with each step Jackson came closer and closer towards you, touching hands with each of the fans that had waited patiently to see him live.
His vision was tinted by the shade of his glasses, but as his fingers brushed a certain hand, he could’ve recognised that feel anyway. He peered down through his lens, eyes widening in surprise when he saw you stood before him. It was a complete surprise to him, everything you’d hoped for having travelled half way around the world just for this moment.
“What are you doing here?” He blushed, pressing a kiss to the tip of your nose.
“The boys told me you missed me, so here I am,” you giggled, glancing up as they all looked down at you.
His head shook trying to be calm, but it was clear to everyone just how much your gesture had touched him, forgetting momentarily exactly where he was. He took in your features one last time before pushing his glasses up.
“You’re incredible, I won’t ever forget this!”
Jinyoung:
Walking around the film set was naturally overwhelming to you, little snippets of the set had matched the descriptions perfectly that Jinyoung had told you on your multiple calls. As the director called action, it was hard for you to stay quiet as you walked along the street, accidentally bumping into his character, trying to hide your face.
“Watch where you’re going!” He shouted.
His eyes widened when he spun around and saw there was no extra in front of him, but instead there was you, with your arms opened ready to engulf him. “That’s no way to speak to me,” you teased, feeling his lips press to his cheek.
For weeks he’d been desperate to bring you to the set and show you a bit of his world, but instead you’d managed to get him and prank him, melting his heart in the process.
“I can’t even tell you how thankful I am to have you here,” he whispered into your ear, “for so long I’ve just wanted to be able to see you again, I never imagined I’d miss you as much as I have.”
“It’s a good job I’m here now then!”
Youngjae:
You could hear him sniffling beside you for quite some time, but it was only when you turned to face him did you notice the tears that freely fell down his cheeks. “Jae, is something wrong?” You asked.
His head shook, but even you knew him better than this, for a while now you had a feeling that something was wrong with him, but you never wanted to push it in case you weren’t ready in your relationship to be so open with each other.
A simple hand resting against his thigh was enough for him to turn and face you, biting hard on his bottom lip to try and stop himself from crying in front of you.
“I don’t know if you want to talk, but I hope you know that I’m here for you,” you assured him, brushing your hand against his cheeks to remove his tears. “If it’s not something you feel comfortable talking to me about, please talk to the boys, I’ll still be here regardless for you.”
His head nodded, but the words he uttered next, neither of you really expected. “Thank you…I love you.”
“I love you too Youngjae.”
BamBam:
It had been hours since the two of you had last spoken, you’d never shared an argument as big as your one at dinner tonight, and you were far too stubborn to back down. “I didn’t mean what I said,” BamBam continued to protest whilst you stayed silent.
You were blind to how badly you were hurting him, he’d never seen you so hurt before, he missed your words and your laugh more than he ever cared to admit, he just wanted to know that he wasn’t going to lose you because of one stupid mistake.
His pleads continued until finally you couldn’t take anymore, throwing your phone onto the sofa. “If I say I forgive you, will you leave me alone?”
“So, you’re not mad? You don’t want to leave me? Because you gave me quite a scare there,” he quickly questioned, desperate for an acceptance from you.
“Why would I leave you because of an argument, all couples argue,” you chuckled, pressing a kiss to the side of his face.
“I know, but it scares me because you make me so happy, I didn’t want to make you sad,” he whispered.
“It’s forgotten, I promise.”
Yugyeom:
He sighed contently as he looked across at your sleeping figure, the features of your face lit up beautifully from the reflection of the sun beating through the small gap he’d accidentally left when he draw the curtains from the night before. His hand tucked a loose strand of your hair behind your as you slowly began to stir.
“You look gorgeous when you sleep,” he whispered, greeting you to a brand new morning with a sweet kiss being peppered to your lips, bringing the smallest hint of a smile to your face as you slowly woke yourself up to the light.
“I could be woken like this every day,” you mumbled, feeling his hand rest against your arm, his smile growing as your eyes opened and found his bright orbs.
You were the first girl he’d ever shared moments like this with, but in his heart he knew too you were going to be the last girl he’d share these moments with too, there was no other face he wanted to wake up to for the rest of his life.
“Let’s share another great day together my love.”
