The optimist in me wants a future post-Trollhunters where centuries of cultural and knowledge exchange between humans and trolls leads to a more prosperous and advanced world, but the pragmatist in gives it a few decades tops before differences in communication styles, mutual mistrust, and a splash of greed kick off *another* war between humans and trolls.

side-note on this post, am i the only one who finds it weird we've had a good handful of animated disney movies representing latin american cultures, going into specific ones like mexico and colombia, and not like... a single movie set in africa. not a one.

I’m gonna thank Soropin for the inspiration. I like their Tiki Tak comic and that’s how I discovered the characters lol. So big shoutout to them. Go check them out if you can :)
Slots: 0/5
While I’m working on other YCHs, I made this one for fun. So feel free to message me if you want this specific one done for you. Just know the rules are the same.
-No loli/shota
-no political art (such as N*zis)
-No art of real people

today a man from Denmark told me I should go back home to Europe often so that I can remain cultured, stay sharp and not become “dumb” in America. The absolute urge I had to tell him that 8 of the world’s 10 best universities (and 38 out of the top 100) are in the United States would shame my ancestors. I’m not even american but white, mainland europeans have such a superiority complex and for what?

Chronicles of Dracrie world-building ➣ Thiortha
Thiortha is the country in the center of Dracrie. Split into five nations by rivers and mountain ranges—Arnna, Basate, Dacha, Kehalt, and Micillo—it is the supplier of a variety of goods to the whole of Dracrie: from lumber, to livestock, to ales and liquers, to grains and produce. The Siull is a tribe of descendants of former dragon-egg guardians who have been forced to seek refuge in the depths of the haunted Whispering Woods.
The Thiorthans felt the absence of the dragons and the devestation of Nacratyn the most out of the five continents, as the final battle took place in the heart of what is now Dacha. As time passed, their magic began to weaken, so they carved wands so they could channel their magic safely. Different woods are better for different types of magic, and wands can be very expensive, so the simpler the wand, the poorer the drea.
Magic is, for the most part, an accepted part of life in Thiortha—everywhere except for Dacha. After the realm was torn apart, the newly appointed king of Dacha declared that the drea in his land should be purged, which included the now-purposeless Siull. Many lives were lost until the new king and queen of Arnna intervened and put an end to the purge, which led to several things all at once: an age-long feud between Dacha and Arnna, the remaining drea of Dacha to desperately hide what remained of their magic, and the Siull to retreat to the woods to save themselves from the madness of the Dachish king.

As an American, Im getting real sick and tired of people saying they "Love this Country," when 90% of the time they dont. They dont care about the land, they dont care about the environment, and they Especially dont care about the people. All they care about is some nebulous concept of "America" and "Freedom" that they've had drilled into their skulls from the day they were born.
They just can't separate the concept of their nationality from themself. And i dont mean in an "Well i was born and raised here so obviously that affects the way i view and interact with the rest of the world" way, noooooooooo. Any criticism of the way things are done in the USA is a direct attack on them and their identity.
Idol worship is what it is. A whole-ass religion, even. They dont see the USA as a piece of land or a set of borders that they and millions of others just happen to live within. It's "an idea." A "set of values." And if you dont agree with those values you cannot be "American." Not a "True American," anyway. The constitution is a holy text (and much like the Bible, they love to just cherry pick from it).
I don't give a shit. I dont give a shit about some old fucks and the borders they drew on the land they stole. All i know is that within those borders are people. People with needs that aren't being met. Problems that arent being fixed. People are not required to respect a system that does not respect them.

I love you native names, i love you people who have native names and carry them with pride, i love you people who shamelessly speak their mother tongue cause they can, i love you people who practice it in secret cause they can't and are insecure about it, i love you mainly pidgin english speakers, i love you people with thick native accents, i love you people who don't think foreign accents are better, i love you people who are walking encyclopedias of their culture, i love you people who aren't but stand proud anyways.
