Your Lamb is EXACTLY as scary as I expected from you and this delights me. I'm assuming their cultists love/fear them greatly; can you tell us what life is like in their cult?

Also, I like to call my version of the lamb Baaa-Lamb (like Balam, the demon- again, im basic like that)

In my game, I tried to have a coherent narrative throughout the beliefs of my cult, the idea being “to die is merely to be birthed once more”, leading to practices that encourage reusing dead bodies, revering the elderly (close to death) and the newborns (freshly birthed again) and more

This means that cannibalism is a very casual act, as well as composting bodies: everything, every part of a community member must be fed back to the community

However, the lamb plays favorites in plain sight: the closest of lovers, beloved children, most trusted friends and most loyal cultists are buried and honored, and may even dream of being revived. Those have been only few, through the centuries

Most cultists end up either as food (especially those who were appreciated, like hard workers, or those with useful skills or traits), or compost

The lamb has established a firm believe in reincarnation: all children born in the cult are people that died in the cult, and are to be revered and adored. Well, more specifically: those who are reincarnated are those who have worked the hardest, been the bravest, etc etc. Those who failed to satisfy The Lamb have their souls merged to the earth of the cult’s grounds, their energy fed back into all that grows there…but again, that’s what the lamb tells everyone. In reality, they keep all reaped souls for themselves, gluttonously feasting on them…only few have actually been reincarnated (one a century)

Elderly people are welcomed, but often become food in cannibalistic feasts, or end up being sacrificed on the altar, or are the center of unruly celebrations…often leading to possession. Everyone is useful in the cult of this Lamb!

To be in this lamb’s cult means living every day being on your toes : wether they’re thinking up the best way to congratulate you, or the most cruel way to punish you is impossible to tell, thanks to their blank expression and empty eyes

Rewards range from more luxurious tents, gifts, celebratory dances with the lamb, invitations to the confessional and such

Punishments, however, can include being shackled until starvation arrives, being driven insane or possessed, or eaten alive by hungry fellow members, depending on the “crime” committed…not that the lamb is completely clear as to what’s allowed and what isn’t

More art for my COTL AU! Still trying to think of better AU names, if you didn't see the last post, current AU name is Bishops of the New Faith

This time i did a ref sheet for Narinder! Featuring his bishop design, follower design and his Witness design :>

In this AU, after spending a few years in the cult, Narinder eventually becomes Styx's (the lamb's) Witness.

While imprisoned in this AU he keeps his bishop robe because I think it looks cool.

Narinder is declawed in this AU, which i decided to add thanks to Unholy Alliance's new bishop relic, Narinder's Claw. Since we now have more info on the sealing of Narinder, he's do no evil and his bishop item is a full claw, not just a shed outer claw, I think it thematically makes sense :>

His robe in the second image is based on the Enforcer of the Old Faith robe, which I put all of my disciples in in my actual cotl save files ^^

So, that new trailer, huh…

Since a Goat character has now been confirmed for the next update, I’m announcing them as the protagonist of my upcoming AU, “The Pact of the New Faith!” I have personally named them Mahomet as a reference to Baphomet. Here is their design as the ‘Apprentice of War’ in that AU; I will post more information about that soon, since it seems to be the perfect time to do so.

In the scorching desert of the Sweltersands, live the gazelles. Where they have forever lived in fear. As they have always been the favorite food of the divine ruler of the desert, Cobraia the Great Snake. For as long as any can remember the gazelles lived in Cobraia's land, forced to reproduce constantly, and never allowed to leave. Till either they were old enough or Cobraia's craving was strong enough. A select few were to be devoured, and the gazelles feared it above all else.

One young gazelle however had had enough of Cobraia's tyranny. The Gazelle having heard from Cobraia's followers, the tales of the Lamb. They sought the Lamb's aid in freeing the gazelles forever. However Cobraia was prepared for the Lamb's potential arrival. For she possessed something of great significance. Which would never allow the Lamb to come near her, nor harm her. But the Gazelle was not the Lamb. The Gazelle pleaded for power like the Lamb's. In return they would not only loyally follow the Cult of the Lamb, but spread the Cult through the Sweltersands. Through a carefully practiced ritual similar to that which created the Goat. A crown copy was bestowed to the Gazelle. Now wielding power similar to the Lamb, their power only becomes greater as their and others' devotion grows for the Lamb. After all, the Gazelle's crown is merely an extension of the Lamb's Red Crown. Now the Gazelle, missionary of the Lamb, Liberator of their kind, and leader of the Lamb's Cult in the Sweltersands. Will journey though the scorching desert, recruit all new followers, and finally take the gluttonous Cobraia down for good.

I’d like to think since the Goat has a purple crown identical the Red Crown. Maybe its power could be copied and divided for the number of the Bishops of the Old Faith. The Lamb being the leader with the main crown, the Goat has a purple copy (purple like Shamura), the Gazelle has a yellow copy (yellow like Heket), and other bovine missionary follower recruits get their own copies (reflecting the rest).

I based some of the Gazelle off the Lamb concept designs. Hey, the Goat came from them too.

When the children all learn of their family’s past, they start reading old testimonials and books! Aster and Kiki do most of the research while Basil and Gravel focus more on what to expect, they all come together and share the information they learn (like a group project type thing-)

Around this time is where Kiki starts to worry about herself, she gets VERY insecure about her looks. To her, she found her Dad’s pictures and paintings VERY beautiful. Kallamar kept an image of beauty, it was something their followers adored- sickness is usually very ugly. So they wanted to express illness in a way that makes it pretty.

Kiki doesn’t believe she’s pretty enough to do it. She wants to keep her dad’s image alive, she doesn’t want to change it. It makes it worse that she starts developing features when she’s crowned. You BEST believe she has ALLLLL mirrors covered for a good bit-
