aaaaa hey i'm sorry if this isn't the place to ask but i really wanna make a descole cosplay but idk where to start,, i have Zero experience in sewing or any sorts of crafty stuff so i'm desperately trying to buy as much premade stuff or things that need little tweaking but if i have to i think i can try to make stuff on my own. can y'all point me towards some pieces i can buy?? thank you so much in advance i'm real new at this sorta stuff!!

First, many apologizes for not responding earlier. This must of been sent in October, around Halloween - Regardless, posting this open response benefits anyone looking to making their Professor Layton cosplays in any season! :-^)

Good for you! - Your strategy is the beginning of a cosplayer’s mindset! Whether it’s buying premade or household items/clothing, or simply buying a custom cosplay off the Internet, I’m glad you updated me on your cosplay progress! There’s no right or wrong way of starting out your cosplay!

For Jean Descole’s cape: Here’s the pattern I used for Descole’s two-tiered cloak/cape! Simplicity 5840A - The pattern itself has some flaws (i.e. the cape is built into the robe’s pattern, annoying armholes that shouldn’t exist) but it can be easily omitted/altered to your liking. I myself, magiciciancelemis, and my friend giraffrika have both used this pattern. Hope this helps!
