what are peoples opinions on white people cosplaying poc characters? like i’m talking without doing things to be racist (like black face, eye tape etc.) to change their feature but like,, idk a white person cosplaying james potter (who is widely headcanonned to be desi or latino) or even a canonically character of colour like inej gafha and jesper fahey?

i’m asking to educate myself on the matter because it isn’t something i know that much about and these are characters i love but have never really looked into cosplaying as i’m not sure if it’s appropriate (as a white person)

I have some cosplay/lazy cosplay ideas for stuff i wanna do at MAGFest.

First is Testament, which i think is straight forward.

But my second idea is... I wanna do Umbreon, but like. Sexy onesie (playboy bunny like?) Umbreon?

Any idea on how to... google/research/do this?? I feel like i type "sexy umbreon cosplay" and i get questionable results, or just costumes for ladies.

My exact idea is that... i wanna show off my legs? So like, something where the top cuts off at my legs/hips/thighs, with a hoody for the ears?

Idk. Any clue on where to look for anything like this? or how to make? IDFK i really don't know what i'm doing here lol.

hi! does anyone have any tips for temporarily dying hair? Suggestions I have found on the Internet already are: hair mascara, (hair) chalk, and sprays. I have tried some sprays before but they did not work on my hair color (blonde), so I have been looking for other options. If anyone has experience with this sort of thing I would really appreciate it!

So, I have a few questions for my fellow cosplayers.

I'm making my own cosplays for an upcoming convention and I'm trying to decide how to do the stripes on my Alastor blazer. I have a couple of ideas but I'm not sure which would be the best option. Should I use ribbon? Cut fabric strips? Or, should I just paint them?

Also, I plan to cosplay Angel Dust as well and I'm trying to figure out how to make extra arms. I need something that is beginner level and won't cost me too much.
