Cosplay Line up - Bookfair Leipzig!

It took me a while to figure out how to include these 4 characters into one drawing with one of them being from another fandom. I went with the idea of a Book as, well, Bookfair.

Thursday - Bookman Junior / Past!Lavi (D.Gray-man)

Friday - Apocryphos (D.Gray-man)

Saturday - Allen Walker/Crown Clown (D.Gray-man)

Sunday - Qifrey (Witch Hat Atelier)

Those days are NOT set! As Kamome Shirahama attends the convention and I try to win the lottery for an autograph from her I will ofc wear Qifrey on that day and shift the others around then.

I am super nervous to wear something else than D.Gray-man for the first time since 2019, it's my comfort fandom, but I wanted to try something else. It's not the only other fandom cosplay I will wear for this year's con season BUT I will still focus mainly on D.Gray-man as it brings me so much joy to remind people this series exist and to chat about it.

I’m excited to announce that I will be attending animenyc ! This will be my first out of state con so please be nice to me, otherwise I will cry. I will be debuting my new Ruby cosplay that weekend, and bringing some old favorites. I will have to leave behind my props though just because I don’t think they’ll make it through TSA. 

I will also be attending Anime Destiny this coming Sunday! It will be more of a casual cosplay for that day. Oh boy, back to back cons. Hope I survive.

Rapunzel cosplay update:

So. I am to the dreaded ✨ pink wrapped blouse. ✨ Idk why, but I do NOT like making blouses/tops. Skirts, dresses, corsets, coats, heck yeah I’m there. Blouses? Screw that noise.

BUT. We are on Mission: Fabric Stash Reduction and we are going to MAKE THIS BLOUSE GOSHDANGIT.

So first draft. Slapped it on the mannequin with the corset and skirt, and it has the neckline silhouette we want (sans sleeves currently). Beautiful. Love that.

Gonna make it out of this rose-colored crepe chiffon that complements the other colors (and me). Perfect. Lovely.

Except uh. I have all of 1 yard of this stuff and there is no way I’m getting even 1 sleeve out of it like this.

But good news! We have 1.75 yards of this bright baby pink stretch crepe! And I f****** hate it.

So help me Ye Gods of Sewing…

it is made of a bed sheet,

I used a neat sewing technique for the shoudlers I learnt from the sewing bee! It is fully lined and SO COMFY!!!

I made the pattern myself, I made a few mockups before I got to the main fabric. I will be sharing an aproximate pattern (i dont know how to make a printout one) at some point!

Ramble under the cut

I decided to change my plans as my cosplay partner told me 2 weeks ago they forgot to take the day off and won't dare to ask if they can get if off now.

... just a few days ago they told me they got it off now but have no idea if they will wear Kanda if depends on the weather and other factors and ... well.. I compromised with my former outfit I had the Prisoner planned for the NipponCon and as I have no idea if they will do Kanda or not I decided to switch back to my original plan, I don't care if the outfits match its the mid of summer I don't want to melt again.

Halloween DBB had a trick or treater compliment the hat and makeup and gave said trick or treater extra candy :)

Ren Faire Jonny got soaking wet bc it literally rained all day and also learned wearing those belts while sitting in a vehicle sucks. Still ten outta ten cause last year was super hot and I had a blast :)
