Tell us more about cosnach!
OMG OK.
So Cosnach and Critter were born to Reachman parents. For one reason or another that remains unknown, they were put up for adoption. While Critter was whisked away to a life of luxury with Noble parents in Cyrodil, Cosnach grew up on the streets of Markarth with a group of other orphaned children. Life was hard for him - he had ADHD, and as a teenager, began self-medicating with alcohol. He was eventually taken under the wing of Arnleif and his wife, Lisbet, who at least gave him a job and a place to stay. I'd love to develop what his relationship with the both of them was like, as well as Cosnach's reaction to Arnleif's...death. But that is for another day!
Currently, Cosnach struggles with being neurodivergent and an alcoholic, as well as lack of work. When he re-meets his younger sibling Critter, though, he feels the need to step up and be protective over them.
Sidenote...I...also heavily headcanon Cosnach as gay and I ship him with Lyle Shnub's dragonborn :D Shhhhh

Is it just me or was Cosnach named Cosnach the Barbarian at one point or another?
I feel like I’m going insane because I recruited him as a follower a while ago and he’s just named Cosnach, but I remember when I was playing years ago his title was Cosnach the Barbarian
The same Cosnach found in the Silver-Blood Inn in Markarth
I’ve tried looking at his wiki pages but there’s not even a word of it and I feel like I’ve lost my mind

I got tired of my PS3 Skyrim playthru having a framerate of 6, because it has to remember the 300 pounds of potions I will never use that I am carrying around. So I decided to finally install all the DLC from the other disc. Upgrade to a version if the game after Todd learned the binding rituals necessary to make a PS3 act like a computer that wasn't built by angry insane people.
I loaded an old save and traveled to Whiterun. Nothing of note happened. I took the carriage to Falkreath, the one city I haven't been to yet.
At the gate of that city, there was a moment where four people spawned in T-posed (T is for Todd), between the two guards. Then they resolved into a courier, an orc Dawngaurd guy, and two Miraak cultists.
A guard asked me about seeing a dog. (Barbas, the start of the Clavicus Vile quest). Before he could finish, he was interrupted by one of the cultists. Before the cultist could finish, HE was interrupted by the courier. So the courier could give me a letter from the jarl about some free real estate.
Because obviously the message about how I can build a house that looks like every other house in the game is more important than the threat issued by an immortal wizard from beyond the veil of time. Todd.
While I was dealing with this, the cultists wandered back into town and started fighting the town guard.
For any RP purposes, this had nothing whatsoever to do with me, so I ignored it and talked to the orc. He told me how I should kill vampires and how to start doing that, the start of the Dawngaurd quest. Then he himself walked back into town. To aggro on the cultists.
I was still thinking about that cool dog I had just found out about, so I turned the opposite way and ran up the road to find him. I was immediately attacked by FOUR master vampires and their thralls.
Mercer and Cosnach attacked them. Since I was still close to town and the cultists were apparently dead, the town guard and the Dawngaurd orc ran out to help with the vampires. They died quickly, with all the help.
Cosnach still had the Staff of Ice Storm, however, so he managed to friendly-fire nearly everyone in the battle. The guards attacked him, so he and Mercer aggro'd on them and killed them.
But Cosnach had also hit Mercer during the vampire fight. So after the guards were dead, Mercer aggro'd on Cosnach. And I have no way of stopping him from killing him. So I had to lose all 7 minutes of this by reloading a save.
...On the plus side, the framerate was smooth as silk the whole time.
Edit: Upon reload, it went about the same way. Except minus the Dawngaurd orc. And Cosnach pissing everyone off.
And when it was over,
DRAGON
Todd!
#skyrim#honey mustard the elf#todd#i took cosnach's staff away in the reload#it is still funny but i really don't have time for this nonsense

OC fact exchange: Erlind, Nathari, and Vezha (and Volgash by extension 'cause she's Vezha's daughter) can all very feasibly fit on the same family tree. None of them are aware of this.
For some reason, none of my OC's have too many relatives, so I genuinely don't know what their family trees would look like (ironic, since I work on strangers' family trees all day at work).
I DO know that my OC Louis has a twin sister! She is my friend's OC Annie. Louis also has a grandmother "Oma" that is still alive.
My OC Ben also has brothers, but they are more of a "found family" situation. Connor, James, and Luke are their names! Kitschicritter, or Critter for short (my self insert lol) has a brother in Skyrim. Some of you may have met him, even. Cosnach from Markarth? Yeah... that's him. I have a lot to say about Cosnach if anyone is interested, I have so many headcanons about him...lol

for the dragonborn ask meme: 1, 8, 13, 18, 23!
Ooo thank you so much! (I was the anon sending you a bunch btw I think, didn't want to expose my main blog haha)
Gonna answer these with my two oldest dragonborn OCs I think, to keep it shorter. I've since made a few more but these are the ones I've written fics about, so they're the most developed ones. :3
1. Vanya Whale-Bane
A fisherman's daughter with a knack for magic who lost her parents to the Thalmor (Thalos worship and whatnot), joined the Stormcloaks in her grief only to have a change of heart after understanding the extent of the racism in the faction. Betrays the Rebellion to join the Imperials, stumbles into Helgen by accident, cue main plot, cue stumbling across Borgakh in her travels and TRUE LOVE. <3 Ravarruh'ra, "Rava"
The daughter of traveling Khajiit merchants who got to hunting on the side upon realizing the value of game and good furs in Skyrim! The hunting wasn't enough to provide for her anymore after the start of the civil war, so she joined the Thieves' Guild for extra cash on the side - cue the whole Thieves' Guild questline and a trip to Markarth where she has a fling with Cosnach and gets messed up in the Forsworn rebellion (on their side) and runs from the city along with her new hubby. They try to settle down in Falkreath but y'know, Helgen happens. Rest is history.
8. Vanya
She's very attuned to fire in general, so I feel like she'd probably invent something like... draws from the power of fire to bring warmth? Especially with how cold Skyrim is, she'd find that extremely helpful. Faad Med Yol (warmth akin to fire), possibly.
Rava
Oh she gets really into Dovahzul and at some point just wants to flex at Alduin by inventing her own shout, dunno how effective it would be but something of an insult that maybe causes a foul smell. Pook Se Praan (stink of death).
13. Vanya
She's very into investigating Nordic ruins, tho feels a bit bad for disturbing the dead there, what with them being her ancestors and all. But she's interested in the old gods, like Kyne and such, having learned about them from his father.
Rava
Not really, she prefers fresh air. Dungeons stink. 18. Vanya
Pale, near white scales, small in size. The scars on her side remain as a cluster of missing scales and the lighting scars on her neck become a glowy glowy pattern on her dragon form. Her horns are smaller than most dragons. No real special abilities per say.
Rava
More cat-like in shape and movement, wings aren't quite as big and better for gliding than flight, tho she can still fly shorter distances. Her fur patterns remain in her dragon form and her bites and thorns excrete toxins. She is not kind, she is not fully... there. More a feral force of nature than who she really is.
23. Vanya
She has 2 enchanted blades she carries with her at all times, one of them an elven dagger stolen from Ancano (still working to get to that part in the fic haha) with a paralysis enchantment. The other one's a fire enchanted sword given to him by Ulfric as a sign of respect during her time in the Stormcloaks. There's also a special piece of jewelry she'll hold in her person at all times when the time comes, enchanted with a very special soul gem, but... that's a story for another day.
Rava
She's not very magic tuned at all and outside of her nocturnal armor there's not really much she uses in terms of magical items, really. I'd imagine maybe she has some special fabric laced with ice enchantments to wrap whatever meat she wants to bring to city in.

I'm making a list off all the things I have to do in WindHelm so I can minimize my visits there due to how glitched out the Blood on the Ice quest has become. I've done the math and there is NO possible way to do everything and stay under 4 visits, even if I exclude any faction related work, (Theives Guild, Dark BrotherHood).
Is there anythin on this list I am missing? Blood on the Ice & DragonBorn don't count cause I'm going to need to make multiple trips to Solstheim anyway. Unfortunately just being on the docks counts as a visit to the city.
The bracketed numbers are how many visit counts the quest is going to end up. Example, convincing Tolbjorn to give the Argonains betters wages counts as three visits. You must get the quest from the dude on the docks, which is one visit. Convince Tolbjorn who is inside the city, that counts as another visit. Going BACK to the Argonian on the docks counts as another visit to the city, so just that simple misc quest alone racks up three visits to the city. The game legit counts it as that. If you wander back and forth between the stables and BranyMug farm, you can trigger Blood on the Ice without ever stepping foot inside the city beforehand. Visit counts are ridiculous. There is no possible way I can do everything and keep the visit count at or under 4 without triggering the quest, as it even triggered in fuckin broad day, when it's SUPPOSED to activate from 7 at night to 7 in the morning, but I've had the graveyard scene at the afternoon time. So I can't only go to WindHelm during the day to avoid the quest activating. That's how I found out the quest could still activate, I thought I would be sooo smart and only go in the daytime to avoid the scene. I was wrong.
I forget some of their names but I still know who they are, like Itchy Scales or the BlackSmith dude. I also do have the Anniversary Edition so I have all the Creation Club content. I know of the one but there may be more I'm missing.
I've heard people sacrafice Stenvar in CandleHearth Hall to Boethia, but I always use Cosnach from MarKarth. He ain't good for anythin else.
