Playing a lil bit of catch up for Fishuary now that I finished the first post, so here's Day 6, Catfish!

I did 3 of my favorite corydoras -- I'm hopefully getting some pygmy's and salt & peppers!

It is still a little cloudy, but I am super proud of how this cube is turning out. Milhouse, Prince, and The Revolution love it and are getting along great (Milhouse fought every member of The Revolution when they arrived, but they are cool now...though Prince swipes the wafers...)

I fill absolute serene joy when one of the little corydoras or the mystery snail crosses over or under the wood that is laying down.

This tiny catfish tends to grow to be about 2.1 cm (0.8 inches). They have an unusual habit of hovering in the water column instead of resting on the bottom!

I've been making steady progress on Hycia, the card game I'm working to create and develop. I'm already on week 6 of regularly scheduled updates and content, creating 4 new characters to be shown on Fridays. I post these characters and their bios on the main website as well as Hycia's other social media accounts on different platforms, but I'm debating over sharing some of those characters here on Tumblr as well.

This week's batch was especially fun for me to develop, Cory cats, redtail catfish, and ESPECIALLY coelacanths are some of my fav fish of all time. IF you enjoy marine biology and learning about our underwater world as much as I do, then this would be the perfect card game to come and join me. It's just fun to be able to geek out over this kind of thing, and I guess these characters and this world of Hycia I'm building is my way of expressing that.

i do not regret spending a little extra on a pair of gold laser corydora catfish i was hunting for these bitches forever and now that i have them in my tank i cannot stop looking at them i love my sillies and if they breed i will be able to die happy

sometimes when one of them starts slurping on the glass i’ll get close and do the catfish slurpy thing too so they feel like i’m one of them
