Quarantine day 27

I actually have started working out again. I went for several bike rides over the weekend since it's about the only activity other than walking I can do outside. Tennis courts are (justifiably) closed and I've given up on the idea of ever being a runner. My knees just can't take it. So cycling it is.

And in-home dumbbell workouts.

That was this morning's routine. And damn, I can feel how much I've let myself slip.

The Coronabeard is coming along nicely and I'm loving the grey.

I've got an oddly light day at work today, so I may do some YouTube work if it stays slow.

I’ve been asked many times lately about beard shaping now that a lot of clients are doing it from home. I thought this might help... Goal: You typically want to lengthen the face and strengthen the jaw (at least not weaken a chin or make yourself look jowly and neck-heavy). While this is not 100% for all beards and face shapes, the principles are generally true: A) Go straight in at the lowest point of the beard to the neck ... shave below that for a cleaner look but not above it as you’ll hollow out the beard. B) Go straight down the neck below the ear. Don’t round that corner but keep it clean below the ear. C) Connect those two points by making a third line from Point A in front to an area below your jawbone near the ear. For longer beards, keep that same angle but drop the line (C) down as long as is necessary. Again, beards are individualistic. This is a basic technique and one I typically recommend but you have to do what is right for you, your face shape, and your own style! Day 58.

I am refusing to do an at-home haircut for now. Curious how long my hair will get and honestly kind of excited to do a before and after picture and video.

The Coronabeard is coming in nicely. It's been 6 years since I've had a full beard and I've never let it get this full.

I feel like it makes me look my age, which being oddly happy about being 50, is a good thing.
