DAY 4403
Jalsa, Mumbai Mar 27, 2020 Fri 11:31 PM
Birthday - EF - Ambar Nath Mukherjee .. Ef Pratik Vora .. Saturday, March 28 .. in these times of trial and uncertainty may yo have the best wishes that can be given in these circumstances .. be happy , be safe and be in precaution ..
There are no routines no deadlines and no timetables to be adhered to .. the indulgence then in matters that could have been given stringent presence have all gone with the .. no not ‘wind’ .. gone with the virus ..
So .. what is seemingly taking place now is the prolonged time spend on what ever is being done , or being contemplated to be done ..
Hence, what could have terminated in 30 mins has the liberty of no timeline ..
The gym routine was hasty and in hurried finish to be able to get to the next schedule in time .. not any more though .. so todays’ work out was somewhat extended .. er .. 5 hrs .. !! I mean there was nothing else to do so might as well keep pushing those machines ..
BUT .. what has been most satisfying is not the mobility of the being , but the mobility in the desire to care for them that have been on daily wage earner brackets, and have now no where to go , to live, to feed , to exist ..
Food for them has become the most important .. and the facility of earning to be fed, a major task .. yes the authorities have unleashed a massive fund to feed at least 80 crore people .. which is such a welcome package , during these trying times of the LockDown of the Country .. but in such efforts at times the genuine get lost and devoid of attention ..
So as I was mentioning earlier .. this is what has been worked out ..
I am going to provide food packets to be given to 2000 people each day, every day , through a Trust that works for the benefit of humanity ..
One through the Haji Ali Dargah trust and the other through the Pir Makhdum Saheb Charitable trust at the Mahim Dargah during the entire lockdown period, and to continue for another week after the lockdown is formally removed .. see it will take some time even after the lockdown is over for people to get back to their routines and get back to their daily earnings .. so till then I shall be feeding them ..
200 hundred packets of food shall be distributed each day, at Haji Ali Dargah and the Mahim Dargah and the balance 1800, will be distributed at the slum in Dharavi, Mahim Kila, Worli slum, Saat Raasta and the Tata Memorial Hospital premises .. many patients come here for cancer treatments and do not have liveable places so they live on the pavement outside the Hospital , and they will be having huge problems because of the lockdown ..
Then through another kind soul, working in upper north of the city , working for the poor, I shall be feeding 3000 poor every day till the lockdown is over .. 3000 gunny bags with food provisions including washing soap and bathing soap shall be made ready by the 1st of April .. it takes time to collect such large amounts of food requirements .. especially since a lot of corruption occurs by those that hoard large quantities , to be sold at a premium and to make money ..
It’s a thought that disturbs me terribly .. at a time of a disaster , a calamity when the entire World is suffering they only think of exploiting the situation for personal gain .. sickening .. and disgusting !!
I insisted on the process to be given a transparent credibility .. to make sure that the people for whom this is being done are the true beneficiaries and no one else broking the occasion ..
So using Aadhaar Cards and filming and authenticating each days procedure, I shall be getting a visual and written report on the proceedings ..
And NO .. there shall be no media reportage of this .. it is not being done for self aggrandisement .. it is being done with the hope that several others shall come forward to lend a helping hand , for the needy .. much like what I did earlier for the Farmers and the bereaved families of those from the Forces, that did sacrifice their lives so we could live in protection ..
The plight of the daily wage earner, that has migrated from an adjoining or a different State, to earn his living, now has no job, no place to stay and no food to eat .. they are wanting to get back to their villages and there is no transport facility to take them to their homes .. so .. sadly, in such conditions they have picked up their belongings and children and are .. WALKING back to their villages .. some of them will take 3-4 days to get home .. and as they walk they have nothing to feed themselves with because the entire Country is shut .. !!!
When told they shall perish without any facilities as they walk home .. their retort is , ‘we shall die in any case if we stay back because of the Corona Virus’ !
These are such heart breaking stories and incidents ..
Staff that works for me and comes to work from their homes cannot go back home in the City, because everything is shut for 21 days .. I am feeding another 40 of them and making arrangements for them to stay within my premises ..
We read each hour of the devastation and the deaths that occur at such a rapid rate .. Prime Ministers and Royalty of the most advanced countries laid down by this terror .. the sufferings unabated .. it is eerie to see videos of vacant empty cities the World over .. and animals that we never saw or knew existed around are suddenly coming out of their hidings and walking about the streets .. its an unbelievable sight .. deer and rare breeds of animal , the only inhabitants of the roads .. the Malabar Civet, an almost extinct species ventured into a town in Kerala and I have a video of it crossing a street in the main bazar of the town .. all by itself .. deer, in their numbers, squatting on the middle of the road in hoards .. some crossing across main streets without any traffic or obstructions in Chandigarh ..
We neglected .. and we fight now to survive ..
In WW 2 , the Allied Forces were trying their damnest for the Americans to join the battle against Hitler with them .. but nothing moved until Pearl Harbour .. then, forces of both allies joined up ..
American the sleeping giant had been aroused ..
Today anther sleeping giant has been aroused .. NATURE

The death record due to COVID-19 has increased significantly across India in the recent month. The shortage of medical supplies, specially ventilators and oxygen has shook the world.
Kirron Kher took a step forward and allotted a sum of Rs. Crore to fulfill the desired number of ventilator beds. For the uninitiated, Kirron Kher herself is undergoing treatment for cancer. Her husband, Anupam Kher appears to be very proud of her at this moment. Taking to his social media, Anupam Kher wrote, “Dearest @kirronkhermp! In this hour of need your allocation of Rs. One Crore from MPLADS to the PGI Chandigarh towards the immediate purchase of ventilators for COVID-19 patients will really help. It is a noble gesture especially when you yourself are going through treatment. I am proud of you! May you be fully healthy very soon? #Prayers #HelpTheNeedy #Chandigarh”.
Anupam Kher shared a copy of the allotment letter which was duly signed by Kirron Kher.
Meanwhile, Sonu Sood has also emerged as a savior again. He is one Bollywood celebrity that did his vest last time India was hit by Covid-19 in 2020. This time again, he is making his vest efforts to help people get the needful medical help and medicines. He uploaded a video on social media in which he has requested the central as well as state governments to make arrangement for those kids who have lost their parents due to the pandemic. Ziqitza Healthcare ltd - Deaths Caused By Traffic In India
One thing that people like to bring up the most since lockdown commenced and subsequently ended is the statistic of deaths caused by traffic in India. It is indeed a humongous number but incomparable to deaths caused by the Coronavirus as Corona casualties are only going to exponent further. However, it is interesting to note that just like the Coronavirus, we have no cure for traffic deaths except of course common sense, proper precautions, and a little bit of luck. So it is exactly like fighting against the Coronavirus! (a joke, of course)
But coming back to the point, the number of deaths caused by traffic is staggering and the reasons behind it may be of varied nature. So in today’s Ziqitza Healthcare ltd blog, we’re going to dive deeper into the statistics of traffic deaths and what may be the reasons behind them.
The Actual Statistic
There were 4.6 lakh cases of reported road accidents in India in the year 2018, nearly a quarter of which involved the death of at least one person. 1.5 lakh people died due to road accidents in the year 2018, making India the number one country in the area of deaths related to traffic. Over-speeding was the number one cause of accidents and the growth in such accidents has been continuous and significant.
So yeah, traffic does cause a lot of deaths and does more damage every year than the Coronavirus has done in its lifetime. But again, it’s like comparing apples to oranges. Although two comparable things are counts of deaths in the number one and number two countries due to traffic-related accidents.
The US reported 45 thousand deaths due to traffic in the year of 2018, and India had more than triple the deaths of those in the US. What’s more concerning is that the number of deaths due to traffic-related accidents is going down in other countries like the USA and China, but is steadily rising in India. Not only is the number of deaths rising, but the rate of death per accident is rising exponentially. So why is India mysteriously growing in accident-related deaths more than its counterparts? Well apart from lawlessness on the roads, Ziqitza Healthcare believes that few reasons might be inadequate emergency services availability and poor infrastructure or traffic which at placesmakes it difficult for ambulances to reach on time to transfer the accident patient.
Inadequate Emergency Services
It is of no surprise that Indian emergency services are not on par with its international counterparts, but what’s more alarming is that even with a significant rise in traffic accidents and deaths and worsening of the traffic system, there is very little improvement in the Indian emergency service system. 1 ambulance per 100,000 is what the Delhi Chief Minister promised but we are miles away from such a thing.
Not only is it the number of ambulances, but also the state of the ambulances. Most ambulances in India are reported to be extremely stripped down of any features at all, and the ones that do remain don’t even work. The paramedics and drivers are irresponsible, resulting in the deaths of many patients that could have been saved easily.
The ambulances provided by Ziqitza Healthcare have professionally trained paramedics and careful drivers who have been properly educated for operating ambulances. Ziqitza planning to add 77 more ambulances in the 108 in Punjab by December 2020 in public private partnership with state government so that we can increase our reach to provide the best emergency services offered in India.
Ziqitza Healthcare ltd has also operates over 150 MMU (Mobile Medical Unit) inb Madhya Pradesh which provides primary healthcare access to remote medically unequipped areas and provide them with on-the-spot treatment if the hospital is too far to reach. See it for yourself, book a Ziqitza ambulance here.
Not Enough Reach
Despite reporting the highest number of accidents and accident-related deaths continuously for the past 3 years, there has been little improvement in increasing the reach of the department of emergency services.
Many states like Rajasthan have a significant number of rural areas that are overtly medically unequipped and don’t even have the most basic level of emergency transportation. Traffic-related deaths in these regions and in the overall country are extremely high as there is no streamlined way to call upon a government ambulance for a tragedy.
Ziqitza Limited has been contracted with providing state of the art ambulances for 16 states in India. In many states they also work under the National Health Mission(NHM) that are equipped with the best electrocardiography (ECG) machine and the largest oximeter available on the market. Any tax paying citizen of India living in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Punjab, can dial the 108 helplines and avail free ambulance services operated by Ziqitza.
As said earlier, there are no streamlined services like those in the USA that ensures every citizen gets the same level of emergency services across different states, it is all distributed into fragments. And that is one problem we need to tackle before it comes crashing down on us.
Deaths Due To Traffic In Lockdown
It is not all bad news though, deaths due to traffic have gone down significantly. All of it can be attributed to the lockdown as fewer and fewer people are on the road traveling. One more reason could be that the police are now on the road much more frequently which leads to a lot of lawfulness that wasn’t observed before.
There has been an average of 62% decrease in traffic deaths across India involving both public and private vehicles. Maharashtra saw a decline of 1.5 thousand deaths going from 2,665 deaths one month before the lockdown to 1,032 after one month of lockdown, while Chandigarh and Daman & Diu reported no deaths.
So it’s safe to say that deaths are coming down due to the lockdown at least in some areas, but proper emergency services need to be implemented in India otherwise it will be a disaster that will slowly creep up on us. Improving ambulances will not only help out in traffic-related deaths but can also be helpful in areas like Corona testing, something that Ziqitza’s ambulances will be capable of if given the chance on a national level.
