*Fierce walked through the forest floor, huffing with frustration as he picked up yet another trap hidden in the leaves.*

Fierce: "Oi- Jet-! Found another one."

*Jet, who was doing searching of her own, turned around to her feral friend.*

Jet: "Huh? That's the third one this week. That can't be a coincidence."

*She narrowed her eyes, inspecting the metal contraption.*

"Looks in relatively good shape, too. This can't be from a year ago."

*She gently took the trap from Fierce's hands, holding it out infront of her face. Fierce crossed his arms.*

Fierce: "Look- Jet. Justice must be wrong about somethin'. By the looks of it im not gonna believe we're the only ones on this mountain. Makes sense that some people would flee, y'know."

*The Inkling gently nodded, before turning on her heel.*

Jet: "Yea, but whoever's been living here has been keeping their tracks hidden pretty well...since we haven't seen them yet."

*She paused.*

"Or- They could just be living on a part of the mountain that's pretty far away. But that can't be likely cause of the traps."

*She shook the trap gently in her hand, the metal clanking against itself. Fierce nodded carefully.*

Fierce: "Well, I'm sure th' people who are bunking with us don't mean much harm. Aye don't think they really have a reason to! Since apparently there's a bigger threat."

*Jet sighed.*

Jet: "Suppose you're right. I honestly don't know why I'm getting so worked up about it, hehe.."

It's Friday, time for a requested ship!

Alright, we go two of the most strongest characters in the series. And that strength is something to be admired between the two. I think they would like to challenge each other to be the strongest that they can be. Not holding anything back, honesty is the best policy and all that. I can kinda see a fun dynamic between a city girl and a country girl together. A bit of that opposite attract deal, especially with how cool and collected Omega is and how, don't think just do Jet is. Despite that, I think they would work extremely well together. A part of me randomly wants them to be in a band together. I don't know, an AU where they live together and are bandmates seems like that would be an interesting one. But I'm just rambling. Regardless, these two are action driven to show appreciation. Even with how independent they seem, they really enjoy each other's company!

The hero dualies were light in his hands, but Gloves knew firsthand just how powerful they were. He twirled them idly, bored as Rider explained their mission.

He, Rider, and Hachi would be going on an information retrieval mission, focusing in on a rogue group that had been causing trouble in the backstreets of the Square lately.

Because Cap'n Cuttlefish had wanted Rider to be in charge of this mission, Goggles and the other agents were going to be sitting this one out. In fact, Gloves had been noticing the favoritism of Rider from the Cap'n more and more lately. He just wasn't sure what it meant yet.

"... any questions?" Rider asked, grasping the handle of the hero roller where it was slung over his shoulders. Gloves snapped back to reality.

"Uh, yes," he said, smiling sheepishly, and Rider gave him a look. "What are we doing, exactly?"

This time, both Hachi and Rider were staring at him.

"Gloves," Hachi said slowly, lowering the hero blaster in his hands, "did you- were you not-?"

Rider sighed, lifting his free hand to pinch his brow. "No, it's fine," he said, before glancing back up at Gloves. "The short version is, this is a stealth mission. We're not supposed to be seeing any combat, but if we do, Gloves, you'll be playing frontline."

"Wait huh?" Gloves adjusted a dualie to point at himself. "Me? Why me?"

Rider sighed. "You're the fastest of us three and you have dualies," he pointed out. "Again though, this is a stealth mission. We're not supposed to be seeing any combat, but if it all goes to shit, you'll be up front, while Hachi and I cover your back and sides. This is a just in case scenario."

Gloves nodded. That made sense. Hachi nodded as well, and with the confirmation from them both, Rider smiled.

"Alright. Let's sync."

"You're a coddamn idiot," Rider hissed, crossing his arms and glaring down at where Gloves sat.

"It worked, didn't it?" he defended himself, pridefully ignoring the stinging of the ink burns along his arms and legs. Marie had treated them as soon as they had returned to their Octo Canyon base. He'd already gotten the scolding of a lifetime from her, and now he was getting another one from his fellow agent. It hadn't even been five minutes since Marie left.

"You blew up your dualie jets!" Rider countered, gesturing to where Hachi sat off to the side, a tarp covering the ground while he tinkered away at Gloves' weapons. Rider shook his head. "I don't know how you even did that. I didn't even know that was possible."

"But it worked," Gloves insisted, and the look Rider gave him was so thunderous that he almost took it back.

"Okay, look, both of you," Hachi said, looking up from where he was carefully attaching new jets to the hero dualies. "I don't think it really matters. The plan Gloves came up with worked, and we all got out of there. But, on the other fin, Rider's right. Gloves, you had us at your back for a reason. We could have come up with a better plan to get us all out of there safely."

"Yes, exactly, thank you Hachi," Rider said, turning back to glare down at Gloves.

Hachi shook his head, getting up from the tarp. "Yes, it is true that you were an idiot," the octoling said, coming and sitting down next to Gloves.

Gloves sighed. "Thanks Hachi."

"But like you said, your plan did work," the octoling continued, and Gloves stiffened in surprise as Hachi slung an arm over his shoulders and pulled him into a side hug. "Thanks for getting us out of there. Next time, don't be as stupid."

A heat bloomed in his face, dark green ink rising to color his cheeks as Hachi squeezed him into the hug, and then let him go.

Rider simply stared at the two of them. After a moment, he shook his head and sat down on Gloves' other side. "You two make me feel things I don't even know how to describe sometimes," he complained, though Gloves wasn't sure it was really a full complaint.

So he grinned, and dragged Rider into a side hug of his own. "You know you love us," he teased with a bright laugh. Rider stopped struggling to get out of the hug and went limp, accepting his fate.

"Unfortunately," the grouchy inkling muttered.

This time, Hachi's laughter joined in with Gloves.

Alr so number one, uhhhhhhh TJ

I've decided that's he's gonna be Agent 3 because like, why the fuck not?? Also, JA is gonna be Agent 8 so ^_^

So like, he lives a quiet life and enjoys the company of his intimates, RHL, his wife, Martha (yes, they're all gonna be legally adults), and a few others, depending on what I do with this au in future. He also plays the violin really well, to the point some believe that he should make music for a career, but he really doesn't want to. Too much attention and not such a quiet life

As an agent, he works hard, stays focused, and gets the job done!!!! He was really surprised when he saw JA in the deepsea metro, and even more surprised to see Abigail there. He has the scar from tartars hypnosis (I think that's what it's called? I'm not sure, sorry 😓😓)

Again, he was chosen for why the fuck not. Also, because I'm a strong believer that Parallel Canon is Agent 4, and one thing that happens in 1776 is that Adams and Dickinson fight.

He tends to just do his thing, ig (I'll have to ask @pingskumonium for help with Dickinson 😓) I just know that's he's friends with George Read, that he doesn't write straight, and that he disagreed with JA 🙏🙏

I think he'd either main the Splattershot or be a tenta missiles spammer with the Reef Lux 450

Next is JA as 8, as mentioned twice before ^_^

I chose him to be 8 because, well, their whole thing is like escaping the deepsea metro, saving the octolings, and defeating evils (eg, tartar, order). I've also took some creative liberties (with help from coroika) to put Abigail with him because he deserves his wife 🫶

So like, they got married and lived happily together in Octo Valley until she just. Disappeared. That's around when he encountered TJ (3) and Capn Cuttlefish, all three of which were attacked, and he woke up in the deepsea metro separated from 3, and everything I'm the Octo Expansion. Now, here's where more of my ideas come in. In 'Fake Plastic Station', Adams doesn't actually splat Abigail, who is the last sanitised octoling there, and instead spares her because he recognises her just ever so slightly. Also because she dropped her glasses and broke them after the ink jet (she has never used one until then), which the mechanism took as her being splatted. Therefore, the two return to the station together, as she no longer has the glasses (I'm like, 90% sure they have hypnosis powers. Even if they don't, this is my au so :333)

And the rest of Octo Expansion goes the way it does
